Yes Air Conditioning Review

I set up an air conditioning service with Yes! and it was a disaster from the beginning. The only reason I am even giving 2 stars is because Craig was very nice. I set it up for between 12 and 2. They showed up earlier than that, and I was not here. Then, even though I told them on the phone that my apartment was located above my office and explained the situation, which should tell them they may need a tall ladder. When they arrived, their ladder was not tall enough. They said that they needed to reschedule for the following day so that they could bring a bigger ladder. The ladder they had was 28 feet and it was just short of the top of the building. He said he needed a 34ft ladder. Then today, I got a phone call saying that they did not have a taller ladder and therefore had to cancel. You are telling me that a large company like this doesn't have the equipment in Las Vegas to go on top of a 2 story building? This city is built up. It doesn't make any sense.

Phap Nguyen came out today to service my furnace, he was very professional and gave me a lot of information that other techs who have been here never did. I have been a customer for at least 10yrs. I will definitely be requesting Phap everytime for both my A/C and furnace service

Thursday afternoon my 14yo AC condenser went out and Yes! had a tech there first thing Friday Morning. I opted to upgrade the whole system with a 2 stage Carrier unit which is amazing. My upstairs unit used to run constantly and was never able to cool below 76 on a hot day. The new unit has no trouble at all making it as cold as I'd like. The Tech's put up plastic and masked off walls before starting the work so when they were done its like they were never there. This is the second system that have installed for me.

Alex was very knowledgeable about the intricacies of my systems and provided essential information to me. This information allowed me to better understand the need for the Yes! service even greater. I'm a happy customer.

Yes identified that I needed a new drain pan for my air conditioning and it wasn t cheap but well worth having my air conditioning working. David and Stacey both did all they could for my project, we are highly satisfied with yes employees. David was very professional with his work and the job was like he was never here once completed. Take a lot to impress me, but Phap N., Service Specialist from Home Depot/Yes!, succeeded. On July 22, 2019. I phoned Home Depot/Yes! for service on my unit. Within hours, Phap acknowledged my call. He was very professional and knowledgeable about air conditioners. After thoroughly inspecting my unit, he suggested an upgrade unit that would be more efficient. I had yes air conditioner to come out with an appointment on Saturday no one showed up so I called him again yesterday they gave me an appointment for today Tuesday from 4 to 6 I have one other texts come out ring my doorbell I open my door and he had a real nasty attitude I was quoted a 69 price for my tune up of my heater and AC when I take him out he gave me a totally different price I think this company it's just playing games and I'm not professional at all

Justin Fehrensen came to our house to check on our newly purchased Heating and Air Conditioning unit. He was checking the air conditioning part of the system. I went up in the attic with him and he explained what he was checking and why and was very thorough in his explanation and how the unit operated. He went outside first and checked the exhaust fan and all of the electrical connections and explained how it operated. He then cleaned all of the tubing with water so the unit would operate more efficiently. He is a very outgoing and professional person with a happy attitude. I needed some help with a problem toilet. Looked online and found Yes Air Conditioning and Plumbing. I had used them for something a couple of years ago, not sure what. Through a chat from their website I was immediately connected and within 30 seconds had an appointment in a couple of hours. Chris and Jesse showed up and went right to work. Within a couple of minutes it was clear what needed to be done and the job was completed within about 20 minutes. It's nice to work with a company that is so accessible and professional in their work. Thanks also to Dena who made the appointment.

YES Plumbing partnered with Walker Furniture in their program, Help For Heroes. This is a program very dear to Walker Furniture. My husband, a veteran, bedridden, suffers from Alzheimer s Disease, fortunately was blessed to have been honored by Walker Furniture in 2019. YES Plumbing agreed to partner with them in this endeavor. They came into my home and inspected it for plumbing and air conditioning needs. They did some repairs, a few minor installations initially. However, shortly after they worked on my home, I had to contact their office numerous times to return to my home for incomplete repairs. A few months after did work in my home, the air conditioner went out one night. The temperatures in my home was 108 degrees, my husband, again bedridden is being affected. I contacted YES Plumbing and fortunately I talked to one of their workers, who came out to my home at 11:00pm. He advised me that the air conditioner stopped working because it was connected to the furnace. He attempted getting the air conditioner back to working but to no avail. He went back to the company but was told by upper management, they were not going to rectify their mistakes. However, a few hours later this guy came back to my home and worked on patching the furnace himself, stating he could not in good consciousness leave our home, seeing my husband s condition without doing all he could to help us. He patched things up but only temporarily. He also stated he would probably get in trouble fir helping us. I was contacted by their Quality Assurance employee, Sandra F., this morning who told me they were not going to do anything to help us. They are very unethical and misleading their care for seniors and veterans.

Very impressed with the courtesy and knowledge of the residential supervisor (Kelt Bell) that came to give us our quote for a full HVAC replacement. He was easy to talk, he talked at our level (not over our heads or down to us). The company and him worked with us on pricing. BEST SERVICE out of the three other HVAC companies that we had give us quotes! THANKS!

Two Stars: They try to hook you with an up front $50 to assess. Which semi locks you into them doing the job. They then follow with free assessment if you refuse the $50. Their prices are very high. Two stars for their four hour window to show up, but they will even move that around to circa an 8 hour window once you are committed. Four stars for their friendly demeanor and generous with their advice even if you do not commit the job to them.

Justin F. service tech. with YES Air conditioning and Plumbing is the best technician I have had that serviced my a/c units. He is very courteous, knowledgeable and professional. I would highly recommend YES and Justin for you air conditioning needs.

My air conditioning stopped cooling at 10 am on this 101 degree day. It is now 3 pm and the house is cool and comfy thanks to the Phap, the service technician who solved the problem in about half an hour. Phap was super efficient and even changed my filters and trimmed branches around my air conditioning unit. He had a great smile and explained everything I needed to know. My unit was still under warranty so the service was free, a nice bonus. I highly recommend this company because they scheduled the appointment and fixed my air in such an efficient manner.

My experience was awesome from the beginning conversation with Sarah who answered all my questions, was very understanding with regards to my concerns. Chris came out went over the unit we had and gave advise to what he felt would give us the efficiency, saving energy and money, with all the reasons how and why it was the best unit for our needs. Then the Tech Jacob, that installed the unit was very polite, walked me through every step of the way and did the job fast and had it up and running in no time. Jason did an excellent job checking our plumbing and water heater. He was very polite. He told me that my shower needed to be replaced and recommended a tile shower pan instead of fiberglass. He was very helpful of any questions I had.

Our service people showed up exactly as scheduled. They were professional and kept us informed as they worked throughout our home. We had our home inspected for plumbing issues. We thank them for their service.

Do I Have To Replace My Air Conditioner When Replacing My Furnace
One of the most frustrating parts of being in the heating and cooling industry is having to overcome the impact bad contractors have on the overall perception of the industry. The question above is one such area where bad contractors give a black eye to the industry.

The answer to the above question is NO. You do not HAVE to replace your air conditioning system at the same time you replace your furnace. Many companies have made thousands extra on jobs by convincing home owners that this is the case. Some of the tactics include using regulatory grey areas You know that freon systems are no longer manufactured, so when I replace your furnace I have to replace your A/C too . They use dubious technical requirements, In order for the systems to match and work best, we need to replace your A/C . Or they just outright lie, When you replace your furnace you have to replace your air conditioner .

Now with all that said, CAN you replace your air conditioner when replacing your furnace? Yes. Many times it actually does make sense from a financial standpoint to do so. You can end up saving a meaningful amount on the labor of doing the same job twice, especially on the inside systems. While the furnace is removed, it is a great time to inspect the evaporator coil and determine if there are any leaks that would cause future issues.

Bottom line, if someone brings up replacing your air conditioner at the same time as your furnace, they should have to make a compelling case as to why it makes sense.

Today, August 01, 2017, we had Alex V come out to our house once again to check on the downstairs air conditioner, as he serviced it last month. Everything has been working great, in fact, you will freeze yourself in this house, the air works so good. Anyways, we had him come back, due to the fact, that the air conditioner sounded a bit on the loud side, when running. Alex came and re-adjusted the unit making sure all was good with everything locked down and also put a dampening part on the frame to keep it smooth. All is quiet now and my wife is very happy. We want to thank Alex again and the YES team for their fine service and taking care of their customers. The customer service has been exceptional! We had had a new AC/heating system put in yesterday. There was a awful humming noise when it would come on so I called this morning and they came out right away. diagnosed the issue and fixed it. Staling (not sure if correct) and Rich were super. Answered all my questions and explained everything very courteous and let my dog supervise.

Showed up. Fixed the problem. Explained what he was doing. Reasonable charge. Very happy. Recommended by Home depot. Great experience.

Yes plumbing was on the list of providers to service my Renai tankless hot water heaters so I called them to get a bid to service or replace the systems. Their price was quoted at nearly $10,000. I called another company for a second bid. The second bidder replaced the two Rinnai tankless hot water heaters with updated versions for $3500 including the materials!
Yes plumbing is a company that takes advantage of the situation. They thought the water heaters did not work so they gave a price that was astronomical. Unfortunately for them the water heaters still worked I was only looking to have them serviced. I had time to get another contractor and they did a outstanding job. I noticed when Yes plumbing inspected both hot water heaters they had to take the front covers off to look at what model they were when they replaced the panels they did not even replace all of the screws. Yes plumbing is a shoddy company that lost my business and respect! Take the time to call someone else to compare their price you will not be disappointed and you will save a ton of money if you take the time to shop their price.

I had Bill and Austin for our yearly check this morning. One of the best customer service we ever had. They explained everything in a professional manner. A++ guys, I will definitely request you guys for next time.

First of all, Sarah was extremely helpful when I called for service. Granted as the time grew closer for the Pro to show I did call back just to make sure I was still on the waiting list. I was then informed that the Pro was tied up on a previous job, but as soon as he finishes, he would be on his way to me.
When Cliff arrived, he was very friendly, and explained what he had to do to complete the job, and how much it would be. I was extremely pleased with the work done by Cliff.

James I and his partner in this job, James I are the best team that has ever completed a complex installation at our home. They are experts in their craft, totally professional, accommodating, patient and easy to work with. Either or both are highly recommended for any and all plumbing work.

The young man was very polite and knew his job. I was under the impression that he was also going to look at the heating system as Karl had indicated, in addition to putting in the filters. He said his work ticket stated just putting in new filters. I was disturbed that although I had already paid for an annual checkup on my heating and AC with a credit card over the phone, plus the $29 service call, when I gave him my check for the filters, he had to look at my driver's license and also check my credit card that I had given to Karl over the phone. I felt this was an insult and unnecessary. Poor customer relations for the company. The serviceman did his job in a timely manner and I appreciated that.

I talked with Jesika this morning explaining an on going issue with my AC, she was extremely courtesy and friendly. She informed me that Bill Cooper would be the technician handling my issue. Bill showed up on time and did a thorough job of troubleshooting and found the issue in my attic (leaky coil). I cannot thank the two of you enough for listening and understanding how frustrating this has been the last couple of yrs. Thanks a MILLION AGAIN for making this right with me :) Dave

Had ac tune-up done. Technician was very professional, polite & took time to answer my questions. I would highly recommend.

Last week 8-11-20 I had one of their drivers pass me up on a standard red light driving over 65 miles an hour. I recorded it to their office. Nobody in their company management gave me a callback. I know the company that I work for would have called about that complained.

RESPONDED VERY QUICKLY, ANALYZED THE SITUATION COMPLETELY, EXPLAINED THE PROBLEM, AND OFFERED A REASONABLE SOLUTION. VERY PROFESSIONAL. I AM PLEASED.

Technician arrived at scheduled appointment time. Did cleaning and maintenance of the heating and air conditioning units and replaced a part on the air conditioning system. Area was cleared up of all debris when he was done. Technician was masked for safety and put on booties over his boots when he was in the house. Brian was very respectful and polite, it was a pleasure to meet him.

Alex was great I would welcome him back as my technician for further work .. my only minor complaint and it is not Alex's fault is it takes too long to process the billing when the order technically goes through Home Depot.

Cris did a great job servicing my air conditioning unit. He was very informative and answered all my questions throughly.

Parents were selling a home they bought for my sister. Went through hell trying to get the house in order before putting up on the market. Had some work done by unlicensed "contractors", turns out these jerks poured concrete down the shower drain 2 days before my parents were going to list the house and leave to go back home after being in Vegas for over a month! Called Yes! and met the most amazing team members: David, Aaron, Joe D., Joseph, Fernando, Jason & Pierre. These guys did right by my parents. They not only fixed the problem, but found things that werent to code and things that were just down right done incorrectly. One of the guys even gave his personal cell to us if we had any questions or issues during the whole process. They cared about my parents plight and wanted to do the right thing by them after all they've been through. I love these guys for treating my parents and myself with respect and they were so honest with us. It's hard to find great, honest people who care about the work they do and the people they are doing it for. Hardest working group of guys in town with hearts of gold! Love them and would never hesitate to recommend them over and over!

The $30 service inspection and water heater purge is worth it, but they are otherwise extremely overpriced. Wanted $6500 to replace a main water line, but found a different company that charged $1900 with a 20 year warranty. In other words, very beatable prices.

Bad business only cares about ripping you off had a air conditioning unit installed back in April of 2018 now in June 2019 unit started making noise $10,000 dollar unit little over a year old and they want to charge me to come and look at the air conditioner they do not stand by the products they sell and install you should not go with this company buyer beware I never written a bad review about any company but 10,000 is alot of money for many families and you dont wont to throw money at a company and not get peace of mind that if anything happens one or two year down the road there cover do research on companies before you give them huge amounts of money

Being a native from Chicago like Josh T we developed a common ground. His knowledge was astounding he explained everything to BOTH of us. That alone is hard to come by usually the repairman talk only to the men. We appreciate his friendliness and knowledge.

Both techs, Israel & Kenny, that did our maintenance on our AC & FurnIce were extremely knowledgeable and did an excellent job. They were also very courteous.

I had yes man replace a few things in my house requiring a plumber, plumbers did a great job so i signed up for their heating and air / plumbing service plan, AC guys came out and advised me my unit was Low about 5lbs of R22 refrigerant and advised me to replace the whole unit for 13000 dollars because it's possibly leaking refrigerant. Luckily i couldn't afford it at the time so i said no. About a month later i called yes man to come add the 5lbs of R22, when i told the tech i wanted to see his gauges before and after he adds the 5lbs he got upset, refused to add any refrigerant then claimed he didn't have any on his truck, why wouldn't he if that is why he was called out to my house? End of story i called another AC company to service my AC unit and he showed me step by step how my unit was old, but working 100% fine and wasn't missing any refrigerant = no leaks.... yes man or scammers OR have a few bad techs.

Jun was amazing! He was prompt and very efficient. He double checked everything and explained each step along the way. He was friendly and helped me understand what needed to happen next. I would definitely recommend them!

We recommend Yes Air Conditioning for cooling and heating problems and maintenance. Our call for help this morning was received by a very courteous, helpful operator. The Service Specialist, Bill C. arrived within the expected time frame and immediately set out to find the problem. He had our air conditioning back up and running within just a very short period of time. He was very thorough, explaining what he was doing, showing us the problem and answering any questions we had. We would welcome him back to service or fix our equipment any time. We are 20 plus year residents of Nevada and we feel that Yes Air Conditioning has given us the best customer service in those years. Yes Plumbing called my 97 year old Mom to say they would come out and check her water heater for free. They then proceeded to check around and convinced her that she needed new washing machine hoses or it could flood into her condo and sold her metal hoses for $218.00 that you can buy at Lowe's for $21.96. Then they looked under her sink and told her she need new water shut off valves because if she didn't change them it could flood her kitchen. The cost to change the shut off valves was $396.00. I'm not even sure they put new valves in because it is so difficult to get under the sink where they are located. One of the valves still looks rusted which makes me think they didn't change it. I called them and told them that they took advantage of an elderly woman and they defended their prices and scare tactics. Preying on the elderly. How disgusting. It makes me sick to my stomach.

Wanted to say Thank You to Josh again for helping to locate the problem with our A/C unit. Josh was polite, professional, and knowledgable about the issue with our unit. We appreciated him taking the time to make sure everything was taken care of and to offer alternative solutions. We learned a lot about how to better take care of our A/C! I've been having worked done on my plumbing, heating and AC system, and after annual service, including duct cleaning and acid washing the coils, the thermostat was doing something that I hadn't seen before. When I called Yes, they sent Bill Cooper out to check the system for me. I don't know if the throughout cleaning and servicing fixed something that I didn't know was broken, but the system checked out fine. Bill then took some time to show me how the thermostat works in relation to the heating system that I have, which made a lot of sense. I should be able to program the system differently than I had it running, and probably same me some money on utilities. Thanks Bill, I appreciate the lesson and professionalism. Yes is now my permenant Heating/AC and plumbing company.

Rick was excellent. He understandably explained everything and options available. We went for a new water heater which he installed quickly and with great care. His clean-up was impeccable. I will definitely ask for Rick if new projects present themselves. Plus VET.

Tech's came out to install an extension on the drain pipe. Great service and was done quickly!

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. WORST SERVICE PERIOD.

They did a tune-up on our AC units this morning. Outside only. My units were working FINE before they came. I left shortly after and returned to a very hot upstairs. My unit is now not working. I contact them (11pm) to be told they can come at 8am. NOT acceptable I tell him. This is BECAUSE they were here. Now we have to suffer? I ask him to troubleshoot with me. HE CAN T...he s just a dispatcher. I ask for management. I m told he will request I get contacted and to expect 24-48 hours. SERIOUSLY!?

Don t use them. NOT worth the aggravation.

Oh and we had THREE homes tuned-up in our family today. Guess that doesn t matter either.

Sierra Air or Sunrise NEVER gave service like this. They actually CARED about their customers.

Very Professional!!! Everyone from the sales team, installing, and final repairs have been great! All the details were clearly explained during our purchasing and all of our questions answered. The install team was one time, polite and very professional. Finally the man that fixed our attic access was great too! he made the access look better than what it was before! I will definitely us YES! for all our air conditioning needs!!!

I called this company to get my 2 AC units serviced, they said that included cleaning the coils with a chemical, and checking the freon levels. When the service man got here he told me all they do is the outside unit not both also the only spray them with water. What the hell are they serious what a joke they should be ashamed of their shady thieving practices.
Do they really think that's servicing an AC unit, worst company ever fraud fraud fraud. They should be closed by the state. DONOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!!!!!! Straight up lies. This company is a joke, doesn't care about the people the hustle and should be held accountable for the lies they tell. IF I COULD GIVE THEM ZERO STARTS I WOULD.

Philip, as always was courteous and very professional in the maintenance checkup of my A/C system. He was there on time and explained my system to me and my wife.

Josh T & Chris N showed up to look at my Air Condioner. They we're kind, courteous, personable and went the extra mile to explain everything that they were doing along the way. I have called Chris at least four times concerning our two rebates of 650.00 each, he responded once, but has not returned my others call. I talked to the lady wh handles the rebates at YES she basically blew me off. Were still waiting on the rebates, going on approximately 7 weeks. Very disappointed, I'm calling YES corporate tomorrow.

I have a contract for yearly checkups on Heat, AC and plumbing. They've done the work since I moved to town. Though higher priced than most others services, the work and workman and thorough. They exhibit professionalism, courtesy, and knowledge. I just wish the prices were lower, especially since I am a customer with a contract and have had them do the upgrades (furnace, AC and hot water heater). Maybe something to consider for longstanding customers. I do like the fact that I don't have to call them for contractual service checkups...they call me.
Everyone of their service techs know they're jobs.

The people who I interfaced with were very professional. The work the was done was a quality job. My only concern was the cost of parts and labor seemed extremely high. Did not have the time to get other estimates. Will do so in the future.
