We have had great experiences here in the past, having purchased five vehicles from them. Unfortunately our last visit wasn't a good one. The salesman was wonderful, however for whatever reason, the manager wouldn't work with us on the monthly payment, except to suggest that we purchase a stock Durango. They truly thought we would trade our two year old RT, fully loaded Journey in for a stock Durango? Not a chance!
They lost us as customers. We were able to go to Wilson Dodge in Corvallis and purchase a fully loaded Durango with the monthly payments we were asking for.

They got my vehicle in quickly and they listened to my concerns and they were great with helping me understand what I needed to know about my vehicle. Having been a previous customer with Brent Baker it was only normal to return to Withnell for our next vehicle purchase.
Brent showed us the different options available so we had only to decide which way to go.Used or New. Brent explained the discounts and rebates available. So our decision to purchase new was easy to make. At no time was Brent pushy or overly aggressive. Very friendly and professional. Brian the sales manager and Dillon in finance were both equally easy to work with.
Our next vehicle purchase will be with Brent and the excellent staff here. Great Team!

The 3 star rating is based on Withnel's decision not to inform it's customers that they changed to appointment only oil changes. We have a service plan and communication goes A LONG WAY! Neither location is close to my home so I wasted a good part of my morning just getting to Withnel. The lady at the desk scheduled my oil change, but I would rather schedule by phone or heaven forbid an APP.

He was very professional the whole time. Now I am as happy as I can be. I am driving a very beautiful car thanks to Withnell Motor Company. Took in for oil change.. they did not put the cove...

Took in for oil change.. they did not put the cover back on the air filter. BROKE the oil cap. And did not fully tighten the oil drain plug.. I expect BETTER from Dodge! They are great at sales.. duh! Their car salesman, that's their job! Read the reviews. Don't buy from any dealer that doesn't have a Great service team. And and do more with the parts department. It's not the sale that keeps customers coming back.. it's the treatment that you are as important now as you were when you signed your new car paperwork.....

I bought a new Ram 2500 HD Turbo Diesel from Withnell. First of all I got a great deal, they beat all of Dodge dealers I shopped by several hundred dollars. Second, the owner of the dealership came down from his office and shook my hand and thanked me for buying from them personally. That may not sound like a big deal but it was to me, I have bought many new cars and have never had an owner make an effort like that in the past.

The service department is also first class, they have made every effort to educate me since I have never had a diesel before ( These guys are experts )they also pointed me in the right direction as to where to get things I wanted to add. I recently had an issue with the rear window and went down to the dealership late on a Friday thinking I would have to drop it off and get it next week, they pulled my truck in and made every effort to fix it on the spot. They did not have a part so they fixed it temporarily so I could finish a job I was working on, I then dropped it off on Sunday. Monday they received the part and fixed it. I had my truck back that afternoon. I am extremely happy with this dealer and will buy from them again in the future..

Purchased a car this Saturday. Brent Baker was our sales person great service super friendly not pushy at all we told him what we where looking for and guided us in the right direction. Service department is great, but sales is a joke. 2 days in a row I walked around the lot. Inside and outside, stood in front, opened doors to look at a truck to buy. 45 min both days of looking around and no one helped. Not even am attempt. They just looked at me and went about their business. Most of them on their phones not caring at all. Sad when I went there to buy a vehicle. I wonder how many sales they lose a day.

They would try to steal from a corpse if they could! They tried to sell me a used Hyundai that had been reconstructed/salvaged!! They weren t going to tell me until I looked up the VIN and paid a few $$ to check it out. I knew something didn t look right on it!! The car salesman tried to tell me .oh, they don t tell us that LOL. When you see purple pigs flying over I-5(real ones) is when you find me driving in their lot and even then it would be straight to the exit lol.

I understand negative reviews can sometimes look like a grudge so I won't offer my opinions on the practices I observed today in person at Withnell Dodge of Salem, I will simply note them and allow readers of this review to come to their own conclusions:
After visiting the dealership earlier in the week and test driving a car I subsequently negotiated a price on the vehicle with my salesman and was given both verbal and texted confirmation of the agreed price which was confirmed as an "on the road" price, inclusive of all tax, title & fees. Based on this confirmation I traveled to the dealership to complete the purchase. During the first hour of form signing and photocopying, I was presented with a form to sign which, on inspection, turned out to be a request for permission to run a credit check. As I was paying in full by check I queried this and was told it was "company policy" to run a credit check regardless, unfortunately they seemed absolutely unable to provide me with any other reasonable purpose for insisting on a credit check on a customer NOT purchasing a car on credit, and so despite their multiple attempts to encourage me, and with a heavy heart, I declined to sign the form. Fortunately after several trips by my salesman to see "the boss" I was told that as I was extra special they would just this once overlook this policy...it made me feel warm inside and I was transferred over to the Finance Dept. After the first bout of hand cramping signing and initialing was completed I was at last presented with the final bill of sale to sign! I was shocked to my core to discover that somehow the tax, title and fees (amounting to just shy of $500) had been accidentally added on top of the "on the road" price we had agreed. I pointed out their mistake and showed the finance guy the texted confirmation on my phone, he then graciously offered to take possession of my unlocked phone and walk it over to his boss in the other building to get this misunderstanding sorted out once and for all! For unfathomable reasons I just didn't feel comfortable handing over my unlocked phone containing all my personal information, along with the only written proof of the offer I had received, so I declined and offered to send him a copy of the text or show it to his boss personally. Luckily for me it seemed that my previous "extra special" status remained and this wouldn't be necessary. Further waiting and thumb twiddling ensued as I awaited Finance Guy's return and Sales Guy was sent over to paint a picture of misunderstanding and regret in lieu of Finance Guys eventual return whereupon I was informed that they would not honor the agreed price and I should hit the road.....I can only assume they meant with the appropriate on the road fees included.

Perhaps I was unclear in my review? You didn't do a poor job of explaining the fees, you did a poor job of honoring an agreed upon price. I could not have been clearer when negotiating the price, my budget was the ONLY thing in consideration regards this purchase, I even discussed the reason why it was the only consideration in depth with both your Salesman AND i believe it was one of the managers. This is why I was very clear about the agreed price being an "on the road" price inclusive of all tax, title & fees as it represented my absolute financial ceiling. Please by all means have your Sales Manager contact me, I will keep my reviews up to date accordingly, as I'm sure you are aware a true measure of any company is not whether you have negative reviews and complaints but how you address them.

Three years ago, I purchased a beautiful, red Dodge Ram 2500 from Eric Jacobsen at Withnell Dodge. Best experience ever! The dealership as a whole, has been very helpful, friendly, reliable and customer service oriented. Eric Jacobsen, specifically, is the quintessential salesperson that everyone hopes to find in their buying experience. Eric has ALWAYS been very accessible to me to answer any questions I had related to my truck. Yesterday, 3 years after the sale, he helped me to resolve an issue. We started at Withnell Hyundai and when we couldn't find what we needed our salesman Jeremy Gigstad took us over to the Dodge location were he stayed with us all day as we picked out our two trucks! Not only does he provide you with the vehicle you need, but he takes the time to walk you through all the options that come along with that vehicle. I talked with Boe who sold me the car and he told me to come in, as soon as I got there just passed me on to the next car salesman and they did nothing to help me. If I could give a ZERO stars I would. I brought my dodge pickup in 2 months ago to fix the window regulator. They had to take the door panel off in order to fix it. After this was fixed a week ago I noticed that my door handle was broken. Keep in mind I am a farmer and with harvest things can go unnoticed. This morning I took my pickup in to get it looked at for warranty work. They are refusing to fix the handle and are claiming it is a common problem. How many break just shorty after they had that whole door panel worked on in their service center? I wouldn't recommend this service department to anyone.

Hands down the best experience I've ever had at a car dealership. These guys are fantastic. I very rarely give 5 stars, but I have to say that Brent, our salesman, and the finance manager were wonderful. I've been looking for a RAM 2500 with a 6.4l Hemi for about a year and half. Withnell Dodge had just what I was looking for. And at a good price. I live about 5 hours away in Washington and found the truck online. I talked with Brent all day about the truck. He was very professional and was able to answer all my questions confidently and quickly. I asked him about putting a deposit down and if we could get financing starting to help save time when we arrived. They were happy to. They were kind enough to fix the 2 open recalls on the truck before we got in so we didn't have to worry about anything upon picking up the truck.

When we arrived we took it out for a test drive and came back to the finance manager ready for us to sign papers. After doing all my homework on warranties and all, I knew what would be a good deal and what wouldn't. They were already offering a 10 year/100k mile warranty on the powertrain, for free. They offered an additional warranty on the rest of the truck for significantly less than that of the warranties I had found and covered the exact same things. I was more than happy to accept the deal. Something I rarely do at the dealership.

Even with a 5 hour drive, I would probably make the drive to buy another car from them. The truck I bought was thousands less than something comparable closer to home. I will definitely be recommending Withnell to all my friends and family.

I recently bought a 1997 Dodge Dakota as a father/son project for my 15 year old who will be driving soon. I try to instill in my son to buy and use quality parts to ensure that his truck will have a long and dependable life. I attempted to get a quote for several necessary parts for his Dakota using the Withnell Dodge online parts quote/request. After my request went unanswered for a week, I phoned their parts department and was immediately placed on hold. I waited fifteen minutes on hold and gave up. The next day, I called the Dodge dealer in Albany and was immediately helped and told that every part I requested was in stock. Living in Salem, I'd be more apt to buy at my local dealer but after the very, VERY poor service I received form Withnell Dodge in Salem, made driving to Albany and spending $734 in parts worth while!

I could never go back to the dear I purchased from because I didn't trust them but needed my new car looked at. I called Withnell and they got my car in right away. Byron was so great. I dropped my car off after they closed and the service dep was getting ready to leave, but they waited an talked to me about what was going on. They could not find an issue but Byron kept in touch with me everyday and really listened to my concerns. I am so grateful that he took the time to not just brush me off and ignore my concern.

This Dodge dealer is great. I ve had my Ram 1500 here multiple times for service, oil changes, recalls, and warranty work, and every time the customer service has been exceptional. The staff working in the service department always go the extra mile to ensure you re being taken care of, getting the correct service, and getting to/from places while your vehicle is being worked on. I ve been pretty impressed with the way they treat their customers. They even give free Uber rides while they work on your vehicle, and do free loaner cars if your car/truck is in the shop for an extended period of time. I usually work with Roger in the service department, and he s a great guy to work with. Attention to detail is superb!

Freddie Cruz is one of the best salesmen I've ever worked with. He did not pressure us to buy, but told us everything we needed to know to make an informed decision. The dealership is what you would expect as far as cleanliness and being organized. The finance manager was also very informative without making us feel pressured. He gave us all of the options and let us decide what to do, rather than try to tell us what we should do. I would definitely recommend this dealer if shopping for a new or used vehicle. Bought my 2016 Dodge Charger here brand new. I couldn't be happier with the selection and friendly staff! The professionalism and customer service is a refreshing feeling in an otherwise stressful situation. The no pressure sales process couldn't have been better the trade number was what I wanted, and the deal I got on the car was unbelievable! It's so nice to see a company that cares about their local customers as much as Withnell Dodge.

We went here to look for a used (but fairly new) vehicle. They had a decent selection, and we called ahead. The salesperson was friendly and although it felt like he was trying to not be pushy, it still did feel like he was saying what he thought we wanted to hear.

With that said, it was convenient to try out the car. We didn't do a test drive (although it was offered), but we did hop back and forth between two vehicles, sitting in all the seats, for at least 20 minutes.

Although we were interested in purchasing one of the vehicles, they were priced a few thousand dollars than many of the other car lots with 10k-20k miles fewer at other dealers. Maybe they are willing to barter down prices more at this location, but I just didn't even want to bother with a place that started with high prices like that. It didn't feel honest to me, and the last thing I want to think about at a used car place is whether or not they're being honest with me.

If you're shopping for used cars, my research showed that driving up to Portland (if that's an option) could be well-worth it.

Have a "draw" problem on the motor battery in a 2006 van. Was told at the end of the first day, it could cost 3-4 hundred dollars to find the problem. Of course the assumption was that after the problem was found it could/would be fixed. After two days, I was told that there were two problems, from the radio and the panel. The suggestion was to get a battery shut off device. I asked that the radio be disconnected as to decrease that draw. When I arrived for the vehicle, I said I had found a battery shut off device, could they install it? My husband and I recently purchased an 09 Ram 2500 Diesel. Beautiful truck. We worked with Wayne, older gentleman, retired vet, who was the nicest man you could ever hope to meet and deal with. We both highly recommend him as your sales person. The dealership gave us waaay more for our trade in (which was nothing special) and was very fair in the financing department. Really liked these guys and felt well taken care of.

Took my truck in with an unknown electrical problem.. Completely dead... The shop rep (Byron) kept me updated at every step of the diagnostic and repair process and let me know of my options. Turns out the repair was less than quoted, and they were able to get it repaired and ready within a day. Price of repair was more than I would have liked, but they went the extra mile with their customer service.

They where very transparent and let me see all numbers and did not try to hide things from me. Our newer van wouldn't turn on, and the key was stuck in the ignition. I was fearing something expensive, but when I called the service center they said to simply jumpstart it. Worked like a charm. Turns out the battery cable was loose on the battery post.

Our dodge truck has been in the service center for over 3 weeks and isn t expected to be done till at least another week. I can t count the amount of times we ve had to be on the phone with dodge and chrysler just to get things moving for our truck to be fixed. It took over 3 weeks just to get the go ahead for them to say how to fix it. They also lied about when the submitted the request for approval. We have a total of two dodge vehicles in the shop with our second one going on 7 weeks. We are without vehicles or even rental cars with no help with the inconveniences. The service center has also been very rude every time we call for an update. Once I get our truck back, we will not be going to this service center again.
