6/2/14 appointment with Mike Prater for our semi-annual maintenance check-up:
Mike Prater, our Vernon Heating and Cooling Senior Service technician, arrived promptly for our scheduled appointment time on 6/2/14 and explained to us in detail what he would be doing for our Vernon semi-annual maintenance check-up. He inspected our air conditioning system (inside and outside) thoroughly and checked the thermostat. He found a problem with our condenser and told us that it was not working properly and would need to be replaced. He then described the various replacement options, and we decided that replacing our 12-year old air conditioner and gas furnace would be the best solution, based on its expected life span. After Mike knew that this was the option we wanted to pursue, he checked with the Vernon office to give us the specific equipment options and prices. He explained the options and went through the itemized price quotations, and we asked him more questions, which he answered in detail. After we made our decision, he called his office and was able to schedule a next day installation. He told us about Vernon s white glove equipment removal and installation, which we appreciate.
We were very pleased with our Vernon service appointment with Mike Prater, who is a very pleasant, professional, and knowledgeable service technician. Thank you, Mike!

Zach and Brian R. from Vernon Heating and Cooling arrived at the scheduled time for our removal and installation appointment and explained what they were going to do and how long it should take. They worked efficiently, handled the removal and installation well, and cleaned up the areas where they were working. Zach gave me a detailed explanation of the new equipment and the programmable thermostat, and also of the itemized bill. Both Zach and Brian R. were very pleasant, professional, and knowledgeable. Today we had our routine check and Mike Prater (our Vernon HAC tech) found in August a certain carbon monoxide leak we would experience when we started up our heater in the Fall. We had regular monitoring for seven years, so it was a shock to find out that "just like that" we went from safe to unsafe. I am grateful.

Fredh was an amazing technician! I work at store 7350 and recently worked with Fredh to fix a unit. He was so patient with us as we were very busy when he came in to fix our unit. I also appreciate that he explained to me the problem. So many times other companies come and do a bad job of explaining or leave if we aren t ready for them. They also do things halfway. Not Vernon and definitely not Fredh. Thank you for your excellent service!

We are signed up for the Gold maintenance plan which provides 2 annual system service checks. The service department calls promptly when the service visits are due and was very helpful is setting up a convenient appointment. The service tech, Billy arrived right on time and got to work immediately. All the Vernon techs that have come to the house always out covers over their shoes before they come inside. Billy performed a thorough system check and gave a full report, including some value added recommendations. I have been very pleased with the professionalism and knowledge of the Vernon service techs. They have ensured the reliable operation of our heating and A/C system for several years now. Thanks - please keep up the good work.

They will CHARGE YOU UP TO YOUR NOSE!! Their price is REALLY HIGH. you dont even get a quote or estimate or a breakdown on the charge. Never recommend them to my worst enemy.

A service provider from Vernon Heating and AC come to my home in Herndon last week. His name is George Riley. He is amazing. He made adjustments to our air conditioner dampers on the unit in the attic and cooled the hot rooms and warmed up the freezing cold room by adjusting the flow of air on the air conditioner. We've had the unit for 19 years and many service people have been in our attic to fix the problem but none of them did. But... George did! Thank you George!

We'll see you again when our 19-year old unit dies. We'll call you for a new one.

I had my quarterly heating-a/c check and received very good and professional service from George R who has visited my home before. George made very useful suggestions about the benefits that would come from upgrading my thermostat. He arrived early which was great and called ahead of time to give me a heads up. All in all, a terrific service call.

Vernon has always provided excellent commercial service, which is how I chose them for residential service. Vernon Sr. Residential Technician John Canellas completed diagnostics to discover my thermostat was causing fan and heating issues. No issues during the Spring/Summer as the unit was failing to recognize it was a HeatPump, instead of an AC. Replacement part coming soon to for a quiet, warm home and LOW heating costs for the holidays. Excellent knowledge, professional courtesy and expedient service!

Mike Prater performed our summer season tune-up and safety inspection for our system last Wednesday. Everything checked ok except capacitor on outside unit.
He relpaced it at no added charge since it was covered under our Gold Membership.
He explained all of the items on thecheck-list.

Mike is very personable, a diligent worker and a good representative for your company.
We look forward to having him as our regular service technician.

We have been using Vernon Heating & Air Conditioning for over 12 years for both heating and air conditioning maintenance services. We have also used them to replace an old AC system and an even older heating system. Service technicians are always friendly, respectful and do a great job. They get to know you and your house over the years and you can completely trust them. We just completed a hot water heater and boiler replacement (the unit was over 56 years old!) in a jammed little utility closet and it was quite a job. Mario E. and Mike C. did a great job and worked hard to get us up and running as quickly as possible. We always recommend Vernon whenever we get the chance. Many of our neighbors in North Arlington have used them for years as well!

Buyer beware. I wanted ro replace my entire 2-units 20-year old Carrier system with another Carrier. Instead, I got a Lennox. I did sign off the hand scribbled contract that was very difficult to read before the installation. Lennox was buried in the middle of the text. Because the manager said over the phone he was putting in a hybrid Lennox/Carrier system, I wasn't careful to notice that Carrier was never mentioned. The investment cost was in the $20,000 ballpark, so it wasn't cheap. As a senior citizen and a retired vet, I felt victim to a "bait and switch." They did give me a $500 discount to assuage my disappointment. Just be careful.

Vernon had not recorded our appointment today, but they recovered quickly and sent John within an hour. John was knowledgeable, went straight to the problem, and recommend alternative solutions. John interacts with the customer very well, is friendly and courteous in addition to being obviously competent. He arranged for Vernon to have a replacement component to solve our problem later the same day. Everything about our experience with Vernon and John was outstanding. We continued to be return customers.

Brian Simmons and his crew came the very next day to replace A/C and Furnace. They got it done in under 5 hours, despite having to carry everything up to the 3rd floor attic. Very clean and courteous, too.

I cannot report a higher score for Mr. Darron McKinney. Mr. McKinney was on time, knowledgeable, professional, identified an issue, and had repair parts on hand. I hope to see him again next year for my pre-winter check. Thank you, Ted Edwards

Our outside unit was most likely struck by lightening on Sunday night. John B. (comfort advisor) arrived Monday morning. Tony K. & Richard D. arrived by Tuesday morning to install our new HVAC (inside & outside units). All men were professional, trustworthy and hard working! We appreciated the job that they did! I am very pleased with the service I received from Vernon Heating & Air Conditioning. I called this morning because my oil furnace wasn't working and they sent a technician out within a few hours. Mike is professional, thorough, and is great at explaining everything to the homeowner. It turns out that we need a new furnace (Mike took the time to show me the various issues), and Vernon is able to schedule installation for tomorrow.

Vernon senior specialist Michael Prater is very professional and knowledgeable! He explained everything well and pointed out at our old system's problems.

Our experience with Vernon over the past dozen years has been exceptional - our field tech, John Beardsley, has been terrific: responsive, effective, and considerate. When we recently experienced issues with our system, John investigated the problem, sharing photos of our HVAC unit and information from manuals to help me understand what the problems, the options, and the advantages and disadvantages of each choice. He is professional and personable, giving me the confidence needed to make the appropriate decision on major repairs and replacement issues. Thank you John, your help has been invaluable!

We have a service plan, so we see just about all of Vernon's Residential Service Techs. Today, Tony came by to check the air handler and heat pump. He was also very good, excellent, I should say. He confirmed the low level on the HP capacitor and replaced this one component from stock kept on the van. He reminded me of the coupon for $25 Vernon provides with their service call ticket each visit. No expiration date to worry about. My HVAC system warranty expired in 2018, so the charge was expected and not exorbitant. The capacitor is guaranteed defect-free for two years. Fixed the same day. They came right out (on a Saturday), just one day after their reminder call for a system check-up, so why would I use any other company? Keep up the good work!

Richard & Jeunghyun did a first-rate job on my Air Handler installation. They arrived on-time, were very courteous, & did an excellent job installing my air handler.

Mario E. from Vernon Heating came today to repair my air conditioner and furnace (neither would turn on). After many questions and an investigation, he determined that another contractor had cut through a critical wire. He patiently and expertly located the problem, and repaired it. I'm sure he had many other calls to make, but he took the time to do the job right. Highly recommend asking for him when calling for service. I also bought a membership for regular service of both air conditioning and heating. Thanks!

Vernon heating and air gave us same day service on our broken A/C unit. Very knowledgeable tech came to fix our heat pump. Service fee was reasonable. Would recommend these guys!

Mike Link was terrific! Gave a great recommendation on my humidifier, professional and walked me through what needed to be fixed and adjusted. Highly recommend!

Awesome service, we had a water heater installed in a very tight place. Mario and Will did a great job, almost did not notice that they were there. Mario was very methodical, careful not to damage anything in the house and showed great knowledge and professionalism. He had a great attitude and both him and Will made something that was potentially very stressful almost pleasurable. Thank you from the whole family.

George provided excellent service. He was friendly and explained the inspection findings in a professional manner. He had very good customer service skills. If I need service again, i would request George again.

Buyer Beware, this company is a ripoff. A true premium company should offer premium service at reasonable prices. Vernon offers below average service at insane prices, while saying that they are a premium company. The tech that showed up to repair our ac unit quoted $1,214 to refill refrigerant. He never even put a gauge on the unit to measure how much we needed. He said the $1,214 would cover it regardless if he actually filled 1 lb or 6 lbs. We paid Vernon the $105 diagnosis fee, but then called another company who filled the refrigerant for $250, not $1,214 like Vernon wanted. Also, the tech seemed very arrogant and said maybe we are not up to their level of using a "premium" company, like they're too high class for us lower class poor people.

Our heater and AC were old and it was time for us to get both of them replaced. Senior Service Technician Mike P. came out to our house and showed us the problems with both systems and clearly showed us the benefits of replacing our systems. Mike P. was friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. The install team, Steve S. and Mike C., came out today and did a fantastic job with installing both new systems in one day. The house feels so much better than before. Kudos to the folks at Vernon Heating & Air Conditioning. I would highly recommend this company for all of your AC and Heating needs.

John was very knowledgeable and quickly identified the problem with my heating system. He was able to order the necessary replacement parts and schedule the repair work for the next day. John is an excellent representative of the type of technician that I ve dealt with as a Vernon Heating & Cooling customer.

When our air conditioning and gas furnace started acting up, the first company we called was Vernon Heating and Air Conditioning. We have been working with them since we bought our house back in 1998 and have always had great service. George Riley from the Sales/Service division came out and gave us a complete diagnostic of our system and offered several options for either fixing , or replacing what we had. Due to the age of our current equipment, replacing seemed the smarter option. George explained everything to both my husband and myself and answered all of our questions. He provided us with several different options which we were very pleased about. In the end, the equipment we choose to go with was very competitively price and we were so glad that we could get this done the very next day. The Install Team of Andy and Steve H arrived at 8am as planned and did a fabulous job. They even went the extra mile by making sure that our dryer vent was properly placed for maximum efficiency as not to interfere with the new air conditioning unit. They cleaned everything up so much so that you would not have known that we had just put in this new equipment. They also went into great detail with how the new control panel worked so we had all the important information about our new heating and air conditioning system. We appreciated the professional way that both the Sales/Service and the Install Team treated this transaction and all the details provided both my husband and myself. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Vernon Heating and Air, and their awesome technician, Mr. John Beardsley !! We have been very pleased with the service we have received from them over the years ! Most recently, Mr. Beardsley made a service call to our rental property, he found the problem quickly, and explained the options. Based on his assessment, we decided it was most cost effective to replace the system. He then worked with us to order a new system, that was both within our budget, and would meet our needs for many years to come. Mario came for the routine spring check-up and did a thorough job! Flushed the line and caught a problem in the air conditioning unit. He carefully explained the situation and asked if I wanted to fix it. No pressure. He had the replacement part on his truck (the last one!) and did the job right away. And, when I couldn't find my coupon, he gave me one of his for $25! He always used booties and was very neat. 5 Star Review!

How often in this day and age does a contractor come into your home, every thing is done as promised and is done well and above your expectations. We were very pleased today to have John from Vernon come to see about our air conditioning issue. He was extremely patient and very accommodating to our unique situation. He did all he could to correspond with our landlord and his main office to ensure that we receive a solution to the issue as soon as possible. His compassion for us with the fact that the house inside temp was nearly 90 degrees was above and beyond what many would do. Many kuddos and thanks to John! Bryan did an excellent job installing the new furnace. Friendly, efficient, competent, patient, he was completely focused on completing the job at hand. The work was done properly and the area was spotless when they departed. I highly recommend the Vernon Team and Bryan in particular. We could not be more pleased.

I had my house air conditioner replaced on May 14, 2014. The two engineers, Steve and Mike, did an excellent job, fully explained the new air conditioning system, and cleaned up totally, all within the expected 5 hours (approximately). They were pleasant and helpful at all times.

I had a great experience with John B. at Vernon H&AC. He was timely, friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and explained everything he was doing while he did it.

My furnace shut down on a Friday evening, but I was able to get a technician (George) out the very next morning. George confirmed what I suspect---that my furnace and air conditioning system needed to be replaced. I appreciated his honest feedback about the price range that I was looking at. More importantly, I was happy that he was able to get a team (Zach & Brian R.) out first thing Monday morning to replace my furnace and air conditioning system so it minimized how long I would have to live without cool air in the summer! Zach and Brian arrived and swiftly replaced my furance and air conditioning system, being careful not to make a mess between their trips in and out of the house. They also took the time to walk me through what they were doing as well as helping familiarize me with the new system. Quite frankly, I've used Vernon Heating & Air Conditioning for over a year, and I've always been impressed with their responsiveness and their honesty.

Vernon heating and cooling specialists, and senior technician Nick in particular, are an awesome service. Super responsive, highly competent, no effort to oversell services or equipment. The staff at the office make sure to keep the customers fully informed of arrival times and technician plans. They come with the parts necessary, as available, to resolve your issues as quickly as possible.

Just had a new furnace put in the house we rent today and have to say that the gentlemen that installed the unit, Brian and Zach were awesome! Today , the unit we installed 10 yrs go w Vernon who serviced it , goes down . They go out and tech calls w whole bunch of nonsense and says 10k to fix it / replace it . I call another comp $179 for emergency visit . They replaced the valve , flush the lines . $89 , Hvac running fine . Wow ! I will never in my life recommend Vernon.

We had an emergency with our oil furnace going out on one of the coldest stretches of the year. Your firm sent out Mike Prater very promptly and he quickly assessed the problem. Mike did an outstanding job of taking his time and explaining the problems our 9 year furnace was facing. We couldn't have been more pleased with the expert knowledge and great customer service provided by Mike. There is not doubt that in the future Vernon HVAC will be our contractor for anything related to heating and air conditioning!!

We too have been Vernon customers for years and have always enjoyed prompt, excellent service from some the best people I've come across. Just had a new system installed today. Mike C and Kenny C did they removal of the old and installed the new. These two gentlemen are just superb. They arrived on time, extremely friendly and courteous. Immediately put down floor covers and started to work. They explained things as they went along and cheerfully answered my questions. Kenny gave me a tour of the new system with features that are new to me and Mike gave me a complete explanation and hands-on demo of the new thermostat. Few of us are thrilled to lay out a chunk of change for a new system, but I am thrilled with the experience. Vernon is fortunate to have service masters like Mike and Kenny. Thanks guys.

I had my furnace & water heater replaced today. Brian & Kenny were great! It's a tight closet that the units are in & while I could tell that it wasnt exactly easy they both worked together to accomplish getting the job completed in a timely & professional manner. We've had Vernon since 2001 & we've always received excellent service whether we're calling the office or speaking to a technician. I recommend Vernon to everyone that asks. We had a new Trane high -efficiency A/C system installed by Vernon's techs, Zack, Steve, and Andy. The team of technicians all did an exceptional job ! Their installation was very neat and professional and craftsman-like in every way. They were by far the most friendly and courteous contractors we have had. They put drop cloths down throughout the house to protect the floors and carpets. They thoroughly explained the operation of the new system and intelligent thermostat. The new outdoor unit is extraordinarily quiet, even compared to our old unit which we had replaced 26 years ago and chose it because of its efficiency and sound rating. I can hear A/C units at my neighbors' houses and can barely hear ours even standing near it in our back yard. Highly recommend this company... great experience, great product, great price.

We got off to a rough start because the intake coordinator and I intercommunicated our phone number and my Spanish speaking aunt scared off the engineer when she answered the door :), but soon thereafter Gene came and did a terrific job! He explained many facets of the unit, and showed me through an online system how my units were warrantied for years to come, when Sears told me I needed to spend alot of money to replace coils!!

July 2015 started off surprisingly mild; the moment it went into the 90's our AC died...
Called Vernon Heating and Cooling in the midst of humid misery. Before the day ended George from Vernon had saved our skins. Seriously, within only 4 or 5 hours, Vernon arrived and quickly repaired the AC system. George couldn't have been more professional, and more importantly, skilled. By evening we had a cool home once again at a very reasonable cost.

Vernon and George get the highest recommendation from us.

I've been using Vernon for several years and I've been so pleased with their responsiveness, knowledge, professionalism, and pricing. Most recently, Mike L. paid a service call due to a leaking air conditioning unit.
Mike remembered me from last summer when he replaced a malfunctioning condensation pump. The diagnosis this time was a clogged line and Mike once again patiently explained how to avoid this by cleaning the line out regularly. He and I both know that I won't remember to do this but I appreciated his taking the time to explain basic maintenance without making me feel like a dope. He's a friendly, upbeat professional who arrives on time, cleans up after the work, and takes the time to explain what the issue is and how he's going to fix it. The cost seemed reasonable, especially given that they were at my door within 24 hours!

Mike Prater made a service call to 9393 Peter Roy Ct., Burke, Virginia on May 30, 2014 and this is my review.

The call was to request evaluation of a "different" sound from the return air duct when the fan was blowing. Mr. Prater diagnosed the problem and corrected it with efficiency.
Mr. Prater was courteous in his manner and communicated clearly.

If I made this review correctly, it was difficult to complete.

I had Mike P come out to my place in Herndon for my Silver Fall Check Up.

He was extremely thorough and professional in evaluating my furnace.

I have been with a few companies for annual maintenance and upselling can be a real issue. Vernon has been very good and Mike was about as good as a Technician can get.

Since you can request technicians for service, I would advise doing so.

I highly recommend Vernon Heating & AC of Chantilly! Coming home from work we found our house would no longer cool. After calling Vernon, Mike a service technician was here the next morning. He arrived on schedule and was most professional. It was determined that our 10-year-old compressor needed replacing. Specific details for the need to replace were explained. He shared with us the actual diagnostic testing meter results. Our 17 year old inside unit also needed replacing to be compatible with the current requirements for the type of outside compressor. Our options were explained in great detail. All of our questions were answered. We purchased a new system that meets our budget and heating and air conditioning needs. There was no attempt to up sell us. Zach & Andy arrived the next morning, a Saturday, at 8:00am as scheduled to install the new system. When the old system was removed mold was discovered in the return box. Zach agreed to replace the old box with new clean one prior to installing the inside unit. When I explained that my wife suffered from allergies and asthma Zach recommend we install a UV light in the new system to reduce allergens and the possibility of mold. We had never heard of this option and were very grateful for this advice. The light was installed in the new system. Checking with neighbors and online we found that Vernon guarantees and warranties were the best being offered. From our initial phone conversation to Mike s service call and Zach and Andy s installation everyone at Vernon has been the utmost professional, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with. All are very personable and very aware of our specific needs. Zach and Andy were very respectful of our home. They were very careful not to track in mud. After the installation not only was the old system removed but everywhere they worked was cleaned toughly. We are looking forward to working with Vernon of Chantilly for our long-term maintenance needs on our new system.

George just came to perform my annual checkup, he is always so professional & personable. He takes great care to keep the carpets & area clean & he's friendly with my little dog. He always takes the time to thoroughly explain everything to me & offers tips to help things work more efficiently.

We have been regular customers of Vernon in our Fairfax County for a number of years. We have used them on our home and other rental property. Their services are excellent and prices are reasonable. We recently had them do the annual inspection of our air conditioning system that they installed a few years ago.. The service was first rate. Our technician Clayton was courteous, knowledgeable and left the premises clean after he was finished. We feel very fortunate to have found a company that you can trust to be fair and honest with their air conditioning and heating services.

Mike Prater came and serviced my AC. I was told exactly what repairs needed to be made on the unit and also explained that it would be more economical if the unit was replaced. He was very professional throughout the process and explained everything in detail. Not excited on having the unit replaced but Vernon always do an excellent job and are punctual.

Mike and Darren came out on July 9th after I called that morning, and assessed the problem with the unit very quickly. Very pleasant individuals.

Mike C and Will came out on July 10th to replace the compressor unit outside and the condenser coil in the attic. They worked in sweltering conditions, and never complained. They cleaned up afterwards and we have AC!

Today our Fall Checkup was performed by Darron McKinney. He was personable, efficient, capable and thorough, while declaring that our system was in fine shape. He also replaced the water panel in our humidifier. It was such a delight to have Darron here today that I would like to have him return in the Spring to check us out again!

When my furnace broke on the coldest night in 20 years Vernon stayed on the line with me to troubleshoot. When that didn't work, they sent someone to my house in less than 30 minutes. Mike Prater was polite, helpful and knowledgeable.

I just wanted to give Darron McKinney a wonderful evaluation of his services to our heating/ air conditioning system today. My husband has been with Vernon Heating for many years. Never have we had such a fine specialist work with us. He is personable and caring. Darron does his best to understand the homeowners questions and concerns. Arlington Dental Team received excellent service from Vernon Heating. In preparation for post-COVID reality, we contacted Vernon Heating regarding installation of UV air sanitizers in our dental office to protect the air from bacteria and viruses. They came for a site visit and was able to assess our needs within a short period of time and helped in discussions with our commercial landlord to get the air sanitizers with UV lights installed. Arlington Dental Team is grateful that Vernon Heating enabled us to provide a safer environment for our staff and patients!!

John B came on a rainy Friday night to inspect a CM issue w our furnace. He confirmed the issue and suggested several solutions. He did not pressure us into buying another furnace..but we did. He scheduled a new furnace to be delivered and installed.

They just came out to do a checkup on my furnace. The guy showed me around my furnace and pointed out what he was going to do. He also gave me tips on how to maintain the furnace and AC. When he was done he made sure everything was cleaned up. I have used them before and will use them again.

I had two heat pump systems installed. Mike was phenomenal helping me decide what systems to install, answering all my questions, and getting me the right price. He was able to arrange installation of both systems the next day. The installation teams arrived on time and started work right away. The four guys were very professional, courteous and answered all my questions. They installed the systems quickly, had great team work and did a tremendous job cleaning up after the work was done. They also did a great job describing the systems and their operation. Overall, an outstanding experience.

Mike Link is an extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and competent technician. Whenever he has serviced our heating and cooling systems for Vernon, he has gone above and beyond in explaining any problems and fixing them. He provides top-notch service.

Mario, Zach, Brian R, Kenny, and Patrick did a huge job for us and went over and above the call of duty staying late on a Friday night to get the job done for us. Installed a new furnace. Mike, the installation specialist, was on time, work efficiently, and was informative. He welcomed and addressed any questions or concerns I had.

Not very good customer service.

Can't rate a 1 because in my opinion hate is a pretty strong word, there is no zero option. I'd use that because we received zero service. So I will choose to dislike instead.

Spoke with a Customer Rep named Sherrie and we agreed the window wait between 1:30 to 4:00 for a tech to come out and look at our water heater and she said ok they will have someone come by between then. We do need a new one so we would have made a deal and bought from them had they just showed up.

Instead, the time came and went. Called back just now and was asking why no one has come by or called yet. Got an attitude that they have a schedule too and they won t wait for me if I m not around. (I mentioned I had to pick up my son after 4:30). So the time was wasted. If this is how you conduct business with potential clients then we can always look for and use a different company.

Bottom line: Disappointed with the attitude Sherrie displayed. I'd look for someone else for your needs. If anyone from Vernon reads this, check your logs for 10/31/14 and call me back. I'd be happy to talk with someone about our experience.

Edit: Saturday 11/1/14 we had another company come out and take care of the job. More professional, courteous and respectful. I understand service companies fail to show up from time to time, it happens to all of us at some point but the attitude Sherrie displayed to me cost Vernon the job.

Tony K was prompt and very professional in his inspection service. He took the time to answer any questions I had and fully explained what was being done and that the system was performing properly.

Vernon to the rescue!

We came home from the Thanksgiving holiday to a cold house and a 2 inch thick wall of ice around the condenser. I called Vernon at 3pm, and Phil was out by 6pm to check out the system. I knew it was most likely on its last leg based on its age and condition, so I wasn t surprised when Phil suggested that we replace it vice repair it (although he did offer that as an option). After walking me through several options within our budget (and not pressuring me), we agreed on a unit, and he said they would be out the next morning to install it. Sure enough, Phil, Zach, and Brian were out the next morning at the promised time installing the brand new system. They were exceptionally polite and professional, and they were very careful with our home. After installing the system and removing all of the old materials, Zach walked me through how to work all of the new components, including the humidifier and touch thermostat. When it was all said and done, Vernon had us warmer than ever just over 24 hours after we called them. We will certainly be calling them for all our heating and A/C needs, but aside for their 2x year service, I don t think we ll need to worry about that any time soon.

PS - After the cold winter we ve just had, I m so glad Vernon came through!

George R. performed the semi-annual maintenance for our two HVAC systems on September 25, 2015, his professionalism was outstanding! He fully explained the recommended maintenance and parts replacement and provided helpful tips to keep the systems running at peak performance over the long run. Vernon Heating and Cooling continues to provide great service to its clients!

On a hot Saturday night in July, the last thing anyone wants is for the air conditioning to stop working. I called around midnight and Mike Praten came to solve my problem. He was here the next day (note it was Sunday!) and called me during the day to let me know when he would be here. He was here within a half hour of when he told me he would arrive.

Pleasant, knowledgeable, and knew exactly what to check for. Turns out it wasn't anything to do with my air conditioning, instead it was the broken switch on the new condensate pump I had purchased on Saturday. So there was no charge for fixing my air conditioner.

Great service. Ask for Mike if you can.
