HORRIBLE HORRIBLE COMAPANY. As I sit here today, I am $4300 poorer after they had "discovered" an escrow shortfall that I had to bring to their attention. I love my local Credit Union, but when TrueHome took over the servicing, I've had nothing but problems. They are grossly incompetent. At one point last year they even missed paying my taxes....I had to call only AFTER I had started receiving lien notices from the county. I cannot warn you in strong enough language to STAY AWAY!

Regret refinancing with our local credit union, although we have all of our financial business there. Whilst we love the credit union for all the other things like checking, CDs, loans, the mortgage arm, TruHome, has terrible customer service.

They are SLOOOOOW in processing anything! It took so long to get the re-fi complete that they ended up doing 3 credit checks (normally 2: 1 up front, 1 before closing) - this reduced our credit score by 100 pts. Honestly, it felt like our home re-fi was the first transaction they ever did -- no one seems to understand the process at all. Scary.

They are just painful to work with - no one returns emails, calls in a timely manner. We had to file an insurance claim and the settlement goes to the mortgage company when this happens. They were so slow in just processing a deposit (it took 2 1/2 weeks after we personally hand delivered the settlement check), that the general contractor working on our house almost lost his subs because he could not get paid. Honestly, just trying to get a simple business transaction completely painlessly and timely is impossible with this firm. I'm so disappointed that credit unions use this firm (assuming it is really a third party). When possible, we will likely re-fi with another company because of the poor service with TruHome. I would not recommend. Same on us for not reading these reviews. It would have saved us many headaches.

Terrible hidden tricks, do NOT use this one.
We have been their client for over 10 years, never late on payment. Each year they said you dont have enough money on your Escrow account because of the tax increased, so we paid thousands each year to 'catch up' the short fall, yet the monthly payment still keep on going up, I finally believe it's better off to remove the escrow so I have a better steady budgeting plan, but guess what, they will charge me 500 dollars to have escrow removed!!!! I am not talking about $50 bucks, $500!!! are you kidding me? I have never ever been explained such important clause when i signed the contract. The contract is like 3 inches thick, they must have expected you to read all fine prints? This is how they got you! Loyalty and pay them on time mean absolutely NOTHING to this company, go somewhere else, stay away!

Tru Home Solutions is the mortgage lender for Coors Credit Union in Golden, CO. They did my first conventional loan for a home purchase. Their rates were very competitively low, their people worked odd hours to help to accommodate my schedule, they were responsive, and they were very, very helpful with all of my questions.

The only reason they don't get the 5th star is because of a slipped closing date.

HOWEVER, they were so good that I'm using them again for the second time in twelve months. Trust me, their worth checking out.

I purchased my first house with them. I wanted to know how much I could afford and they gave me a preapproval letter to give to my realestate agent. They stayed on top of things with my realestate agent during the process regarding inspections they needed done. They asked me for explanations of certian things and I just wrote one or two sentences and it was taken care of. It takes more time and information than buying a car but its a lot bigger purchase, so I get it.

My 1st loan processor Shrhonda Fuller advised me on the 1st house I fell in love with. This house fell through because the appraisal was less than what the seller wanted and I wasn't going to make up the difference. My house experience was put on hold until I found my current house. My next Loan processor Diego Villa brought everything to a close, All and all I had a positive experience. Thank you TruHome Solutions!

They took over my PHH mortgage and I went to pay my bill and saw that my 3.6% fixed mortgage was now 36% interest! My balance on my loan went from 94,000 to 99,000 in one month and I paid my loan and extra! So there is no way I can ever pay it off! I called and called and finally spoke with a supervisor and they fixed it. She said it was a known mistake but never bothered to fix it or notify customers to check their bills. Then they refused to pay my insurance company because I was supposed to change it with them! They bought my loan and should notify my insurance company. Now my escrow has not been paid and it s late!

I could not express enough how grateful we are to have had him assigned to us and for him to have made the process as smooth as possible. He kept us updated throughout the whole journey and gained our utter and complete trust. Our family will definitely keep Truhome as our first choice.

Terrible communication skills overall and especially by Scott Fahle and Melissa Williams-Meyer. If you get a mortgage with them, expect to have to constantly be calling and emailing them to remind them to simply reply back to what should be a simple question. You could ask them 'what's 2+2?' and they will tell you they are looking into it and you won't hear anything for well over a week.

Yikes! I'm wonderinf if this is even the same company, as we've had mostly great experiences. I've refi'd once and bought once through CACU, using TruHome as the mortgage dept. Both times have been excellent. Aaron McNeer was especially wonderful. I am, however, having a hard time getting my principal only extra payments applied correctly, but that is a seperate department. Gosh, I recommend Tru Home all the time, well, CACU, and I'm bummed to hear that others haven't had a great experience there. YMMV

Aaron McNeer was my Mortgage Advisor, and I found him to be exceptional. He worked with me, staying in touch but never pushy, while I did the necessary things to get my debt to income ratio where it needed to be. The loan process itself was very straightforward, and I was not made to feel that my past was being dissected under a microscope. Once started, things moved along quickly. I would recommend TruHome without reservation!

Over ten years ago, I decided to use the credit union (that had been my only bank account) to refinance my mortgage. Truhome was the managing firm for Neighborhood Credit Union. A few months ago, I decided to sell my home a purchase in another city. After 34 years with the same credit union and no issues, I never even considered another lender for a conventional loan. Seven days before my scheduled close, I was informed that the appraisal (that was 105k MORE than the loan request because of my large down payment) listed a crack above ONE sticking door and claimed that a structural engineer was needed to inspect because it had foundation issues. I had already had a foundation expert out during my option period and he found no elevation changes over the entire house and deemed the pier and beam foundation to be working as intended. There was a <.25 inch difference in that single door frame. This report was sent to Truhome (Zach Green officer and Sam Kincy -processor) and they still insisted that a structural engineer had to be hired. I immediately told them we are done. My realtor spoke to Zach and he claimed they were speaking to lawyers and agreed that common sense needed to be used. A man that identified himself as Zach s boss (Doug or Dave?) also contacted my realtor and when common sense was mentioned he exclaimed, well, we can't use common sense! (I agree -they don't have common sense!)
Luckily, I was able to secure another lender and this one actually has great reviews! Loyalty and longevity mean nothing to Truhome/Neighborhood Credit Union. I would not trust them to finance a dog house.
Do Not consider this company for ANY type of loan!!!

I engaged the services of Tru-Home solutions in purchasing my first home. That was a mistake. It has been a nightmare experience. My house was supposed to have closed three times now, and yet there is a constantly an excuse on why it cant. I even had to get a mobile notary to meet me while out of town for work to sign closing documents because the lender insisted that It must be signed even though they were not prepared to close on the date scheduled on the previous Friday. They communicated poorly, and failed to get forms to the Title company in a timely manner repeatedly. They had me change my work schedule three times to supposedly sign, and each time contacted right at 5 to say due to difficulty getting forms processed I won't be able to sign that day. Forms they should have been able to prepare especially with the weeks of time they had. I had to sign closing documents not once but twice.One time they said I could not sign because it upper management said it was to late in the day to want to deal with. It was 230 pm, and their hours say 8PM. The form was only submitted to him hours earlier but he was "out of the office" at the time. It was only a rate lock extension approval. A form they had to do several times before because they constantly pushed back closing. Their employees repeatedly left work early, and were often unavailable during the day for hours at time. I feel that they have done their job poorly, and do not take into consideration their customers. I can confidently say I will never ever recommend these services to anyone unless they wan't to bang their head against a wall. However that being said Julie Lovich did an exceptional job, and I feel like she was the only in that company who put in any effort to make this transaction work.

I would advise all to be careful with this company as they are not adequate providers of any sort of quality service.

Bad! Bad! Bad! Stay away! Before going through Tru Home I had another mortgage company I was going through but my friend (the seller) told me I could get a really good loan and even qualify for 0% down if I went through Tru Home Solutions.... which I didn't end up getting and later realized there's no way they could possibly give anyone that type of loan because MI would never approve it. Anyways, I called and they seemed nice and the first couple days answered all my phone calls. Once we started it seemed to go smooth and then I started calling to find out what else they may need and where we were going next with my loan. I called for entire week and couldn't get a hold of anyone. Finally I got a call back but that was just the beginning of it. The week of closing we were told that the MI company didn't approve it but they would definitely approve it if I did X, Y, and Z. Then my friend (the seller) was told 30 minutes before she was suppose to close on her house that they couldn't get it done that day and it wouldn't be for another week. While I was waiting to hear from them about the MI company I called several times....NO ANSWER. Imagine that. Finally I called about 4 times in a row with no answer and then my husband called on his work number and they answered immediately, stating, "Oh I saw you were trying to call..." Also when it came down to Tru Home needing to approve my loan they took their time on that too. I asked my loan officer to tell his manager we needed to put it on rush to close in time and he told me that he still needed to remain professional and couldnt go in to his manages office and sit at his desk.... Professional?! I think he lost that a long time ago. To say the least we never got answers or phone call updates. We always had to track someone down and call them handfuls of times to get even an update. Finally on the closing day they told me they forgot some paper work that needed to be signed and on filing for a total of 7 days.... Guess what... Our closing date got pushed back again! Because they just "forgot." Then on our next closing date in an email I was told that our mortgage was a Fixed Rate for the duration of the loan but our paperwork said it was an ARM after 10 years. We called them on speaker phone at out signing and tried to explain to our loan officer what was going on and he kept interrupting. We asked him to stop interrupting and hold on a second and he quickly yelled back and said that he doesn't need to hold on! He continued to say sorry he is human and made a mistake, in a rude and cold tone.... Our lady at the title company was SHOCKED and told us how embarrassed she was that he would talk to us that way. There is so many other things that happened it would be impossible to list them all here. Long story short STAY AWAY AT ALL COST! We are refinancing with another company as soon as we can!

Tru Home solutions provided a great experience for my wife and I for our home refinance. They were able to process the refi quickly. My initial contact Lisa Mann was a true joy to work with, very knowledgeable and willing to spend the time to answer your questions. Our loan processor Melissa Newton performed great as well. Tru Home Solutions was able to get us exactly what we wanted and would recommend them to anyone.

One of the best experiences I've had purchasing a home. They were very quick and very informative. I closed in less than 20 days over Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. Truly superb! My brother and Dad are now re-financing through them. I would highly recommend Tru Home Solutions.

I pay escrow monthly. However, TruHome dropped the ball and got my home owner insurance cancelled by not paying my insurance company. Apparently, I have been without home owner insurance for over a month now. On top of that, I had to do all the leg work to get it reinstated. After several phone calls with TruHome and my insurance company, my insurance company finally called TruHome. Very disappointed in TruHome at this time. All this and I was told by a TruHome rep that they have my insurance company contact information. So, why did my insurance lapse, TruHome?

Can not give this company a one star. They had three months to prepare my mortgage and still failed to properly prepare my loan requirements. I lost time off work, an appraisal fee that was never used, failure to close on requested date which caused everything to back up costing even more time and money. STAY AWAY!!

Definitely ask for Laura Robertson and her processing loan officer Miles. We didn't think we would get approved because we were denied before. They were the best team to work with and made sure our family's dream came true. They were efficient and got the job done and made sure whatever close date they gave us we closed on. I wouldn't have it any other way and will always use her for any type of future home loans if allowed. Thanks Laura and Miles, you guys are amazing and we are forever grateful for all that you guys did to make sure to get us in a home! -The Seavers

Terrible!! My escrow continues to have a shortage every year bc my real estate taxes continue to rise bc county keeps raising value assessment of our home. So we tried to get a equity line of credit and appraisal comes in super low and now they won't approved loan. All this on same day the dow is in freefall as talk of raising interest rates. I know their denial is just status quo for not lending anyone money. Meanwhile my mortgage psyment keeps increasing! Complete BS! Wish I could dump TruHome as my lender.

DO NOT USE THEM FOR ANYTHING. I went through my credit union to purchase a home recently. They apparently work with TruHome as one of their mortgage companies. Initially they were enticing with a low interest rate for my home mortgage and a generous credit to assist with closing costs. Throughout the process, my realtor and myself stayed in touch and on top of the representatives for my loan (Tre Nelson and Jordan Thacker) who assured us every step of the way that the closing date we had agreed to was on track and there were no issues. Fast forward to the day before I'm scheduled to close and nobody says anything to us about the loan having to go through additional this and more reviews of that. The communication was very poor and I had to keep calling both individuals who were ghosting me and after 4PM it was crickets. Long story short I had to delay my close by a day after being promised I would be able to close on the assigned day. I had taken time off and had to reschedule professional obligations because TruHome was not communicative, was overpromising and underdelivering. I was able to close but the stress that I went through the last couple of days almost made me want to pull out of the deal. I will not use this mortgage firm again and do no recommend anyone else do. Stay away from them and shop around even if it means paying a little more.

Long story short, they failed at all aspects of the transaction for a new purchase. A year later, FHA regulations changed and I called them to do a streamline refinance. I knew more about the program than the loan officer, so she did some research and her math showed I would not save any money on interest and FHA fees. Ended up refinancing with quicken and it was excellent service, and my payment dropped by $300/month due to the reduction in fees. I have since then made several more property purchases and community America continues to drop the ball in the mortgage department. Apparently, their mortgage group is not commissioned, so I have to assume their lack of compensation is what drives the subpar service.

We had a terrible mortgage experience. We were pre-approved. We submitted all requested information within two days of signing a contract. When I followed up to make sure they had everything in order two weeks later I was told that they had received the information, but not looked at it. We were repeatedly asked for the same information starting a few days before our closing date, but were told that everything was fine and scheduled to close on schedule. At 5pm on our closing date, we were informed they needed further information yet and it ended up taking another two weeks to close.

Since then, I have experienced terrible customer service. I would not recommend this company.

I would highly recommend TruHome. I worked with Andrew DiCarlo. I cant speak for others. They were timely and we even closed on our home early because all the docs were prepared. If you need fast turnaround and the best mortgage fees go with Truhome. Only drawback I found was that you have to communicate on the phone. I personally saved more than $1500 dollars over my local credit union UFCU in Austin TX and Truhome was far better than any other mortgage broker/lender in the local area. Also if you need PMI Truhome has several sources for that and will get you the best rate hands down. Its free to call and get an estimate. Do your homework and get 5 or 6 from different lenders. Overall we found Truhome was the best fit for us. Good Luck in finding your lender

These guys are absolutely terrible. Both my home insurance policies were close to being cancelled due to non payment. Everything takes an ungodly amount of time to get done. The customer service is horrible and good luck getting any agent to call you back when things start to go south. I will never use them again. I can't wait to refinance and never have to talk to them again. I would not recommend using this company ever.

Absolutely the worst ever possible experience with procuring a home loan. THE WORST EVER! They bumbled and stumbled on everything. Was told everything would be on time and it was a day late almost costing me my home on three steps of the negotiation process. Complete and total incompetency. Almost every time I called to speak with some one the original some one was shuffled to another department or no longer available. Was told they are so overloaded with processing loans my loan might not make it on time! It was a complete nightmare! My relative has bought and sold three homes and was appalled at their absolute lack of professional manners, disregard of timeliness, and could-care-less attitude. And all the workers here have attitudes especially when you ask for what they are providing. I could go on forever - and to this date I am still not receiving my payment coupons on time. The EECU loan department in Fort Worth sold the loan to them because the interest rate was so low. Thanks EECU! ASK YOUR LENDER WHO THEY ARE SELLING TO IF IT IS Tru Home Solutions LLC - RUN THE OTHER WAY!

I have been thinking of selling my home to my partner for $1 just to be out of this terrible relationship! And I think I will!

I had such a great experience with Tru Home Solutions. I worked with Laura Robertson and she made everything very clear from start to finish. If I had questions she had no problem explaining. Very friendly and she seemed to really care to make us happy throughout the whole process. I truly recommend Tru Home Solutions. We had a pleasant experience and I am glad we went thru them for our loan.

I just had an awful experience with this company. Do not ever deal with Dirtha Campbell(Loan Officer). He is very deceitful. I did a refinance, and they ended up using my escrow account to partial fund the new loan without my consent(Actual told them that I wanted my money out of my old escrow account). I did not realize the money was used until it was too late. Problem is that as a result I ended up very high closing costs.
The mistake that I did was refinance with the same company that I serviced my loan. Yes in theory, you would assume that you can trust the company that has service your loan for the last two year to take care of you and provide a good service. But unfortunately, this was not the case with Tru Home Solutions. They will ripe you off if given the chance.
Honestly, I hate this company. I really got DUPED!!!!

I have no problem with the the way the loan was handled but my loan director said i could pay my monthly payment through my bank web site EECU and that was a lie. I have sent in my first payment.,paying over the amount due. I requested in writing on their payment coupon that the extra money be placed on my principal...They put the extra money on an unapplied payment section rather than doing what i requested in writing on their own payment coupon! Then I tried to fix it and was told it would take over 72 hours to fix their mistake. They acted like this was my problem when clearly they messed it up....

Not sure why there are ANY negative reviews as my mortgage was VERY professionally handled. Zach Phillips and loan officer Amy were superlative. When I had a question, it was ALWAYS answered within 4-6 hrs. When I was upset with the process, I was emailed documents where I had previously agreed to submit further information or I was given a very patient and professional explanation. All of my good friends will be referred to Amy and Zach. As for others, let them go elsewhere so they can have a good time writing negative reviews because nothing bad can be said about these two!!

As much as I would like to write a lengthy review about all the bull this company put me through I am going to keep it as short and sweet as possible. NEVER NEVER NEVER FINANCE YOUR HOME WITH TRU HOME SOLUTIONS!!! I know things happen sometimes to mess a deal up as I work in the finance world but this company is the same sad old song over and over again. Everything you read about them blowing customers off, late closings, mysterious missing documents, and complete unprofessional attitudes is TRUE! If you are oblivious and you think any of the things listed above could happen to you and still go with Tru Home Solutions please do me a favor. The following people are liars and scum but all I ask is you not deal with them as you will certainly be screwed over. Travis Yocum (Loan Officer), Heather Trejo (Loan Processor) and Chris Wise (Processing Manager). I will say that I don't completely blame Community America Credit Union as a whole because they have had other great services which I have had great experiences with but you are only as strong as your weakest link. A quarter or half point savings on your loan isn't worth not closing on your house on time or even all together. You wouldn't just let some person off the street manage your bank account would you? We had a painless and swift mortgage experience with Truhome Solutions. Everybody was pleasant and really helpful. Ashley Finley was beyond great, she answered all our questions on a timely manner and was readily available no matter what time. She was easy going, not pushy and very knowledgeable. Kudos Ashley!!!! You are just awesome! Also, Amy Patterson worked tirelessly to help us close on time. She was friendly, very knowledgeable and quick to deliver. This is the place to go to for your mortgage needs. Will not use any company associated to TruHome for any banking or mortgage needs again. Terrible communication on their part. They didn't meet their own deadlines or promises. Remember, its better to under promise and over deliver.

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!!

Our home was supposed to close today.
Yet, Truhome always get an excuse NOT to close it.

This is a total nightmare since the pre-approval process. Lack of communication between loan processors and advisors.
Were asked the same infos 2+ times from different people.

My loan advisor MARY WILLIAMS and loan processor JODI WALTERS barely respond to our voicemail or emails.
The worst thing is as a loan processor herself, JODI did NOT KNOW ANYTHING. Keep asking us the same things such as employment history, pay stubs, etc. over and over again.

WE JUST HAVE ENOUGH!!!!!
GET A CHECKLIST FOR EVERY APPLICANT WHO APPLYS FOR HOME LOAN!!!

Horrible. The woman I was working with would never respond. I'd have to double e-mail to maybe get a response. And any time I called her direct line it went straight to voicemail. Today, finally fed up, I called customer service, and still was not able to get in touch with anybody. After reading other reviews, I'm about to find another mortgage company.
