The reason for 4 stars is that I brought my car but was told that there is no need and you can come on another 5000 milestone. Also I brought my car 3 times to fix dash radio and every time they update it but problem is not fixed. Service personnel is good and kind.

They are always straightforward and answer all my questions. They are pricey but they do good work. I've never had any problems with them. I don't mind going there for scheduled maintenance because their waiting room is great. Usually something to drink, and eat or charge your phone or use their free wifi. I check out the new cars or just stay on my phone To kill time. If you don't want to wait, they give u a ride as long as u live nearby. And pick you up when your car is ready. Cheaper folk don't offer those extras.
Accompanied a friend who was looking to either purchase or lease a car. We spent too much time just waiting. Salesman was nice enough but didn't get the impression he was really interested in making a sale. Nothing was purchased.
I CALLED TOYOTA 10 X THIS MORNING TRYING TO REACH SOMEONE AND ALL I GOT WAS THE RUN AROUND AT 9:30 ON A MONDAY MORNING. HOW BUSY CAN YOU BE ON A MONDAY MORNING THAT NO-ONE CAN ANSWER MY CALL. THE GIRL IN SERVICE ASKED ME ALL THIS INFORMATION ONLY TO TRANSFER ME TO AN ANSWERING MACHINE. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE AND PEOPLE ARE EXTREMELY RUDE !!!!
If I could give negative stars - I would. The woman in the service department (Nadia, I believe her name is) has absolutely ZERO customer service skills. Every experience I had with her, even via the telephone, was dreadful. Her attitude is awful & would deter me from ever returning to or recommending this place.
Pretty smooth experience for me. I dealt with Jay Kim and he was super helpful and patient even if I was a bit indecisive. He found me a car within my budget helped me to negotiate my payment. I would really recommend you deal with him.
I didnt make a purchase or deal, however the inventory manager, forgot his name, maybe alandro, was the best and most professional person I've been in contact with in any dealership I've ever visited. Very knowledgeable and actually took his time to walk me and my wife around the parking lot. He explained differences between the vehicles in detail and broke down the pricing structure. He amazed us with his knowledge as well as giving us the time. Toyota of Hackensack, you will certainly be at a loss if this gentleman leaves your establishment. This guy is a gem and should be kept. Thanks
Just had a really aggravating experience at Toyota of Hackensack. I took my lease in for an oil change and check up. Upon receiving my car everything looked ok. I didn't notice until recently that my floor mats were not reinstalled by the service technician.
Since then there has been slight damage caused to my carpet as a result of the floor mats being removed. I admit I hadn't noticed them not being there at first. I brought my car to speak to the Manager Louie and even told them I would re-purchase the floor mats but would not be held responsible for the damage to the carpet.
The manager was condescending, rude and defensive. He seemed to take it so personal and kept saying that he didn't remove the mats. I know you didn't Louie, but someone did. It is clear they aren't a customer service company and I am really excited for my lease to be up. I would never recommend a company like this to anyone. I see why people pay more for luxury cars as I have heard the customer service is much better.
I moved to NJ from NY and bought the Sienna here. I was there early 7:30 in the morning but store open at 9:00. A saleman name Steve came to work early that day and helped me out. It was very nice because I have to go to work too. When I came to pick up the plates, Jay helped puts the plates on for me. Thank you both of you. I definitely want to come back to this place again for my car services.
Toyota of Hackensack is definitely #1 in my book. The staff is polite and welcoming! I had great experience with Brian Garcia who made sure I got the best deal with my 2018 Camry SE..he went above and beyond for me. And Mike who helped me setup my touch screen apps and ran through the car features with me. I was asks numerous times if I needed anything or wanted anything to eat or drink which was very comforting. I will definitely recommend Toyota of Hackensack to anyone looking for a car!
The worst Toyota office ever they sold my father a certified used vehicle that could not pass inspection because it was defective and later failed to take any responsibility for it they would not acknowledge my father s request and let and let him wait for long periods of time without even acknowledging him the general manager was rude and disrespectful please beware and do not buy vehicles from this location!
From the moment I walked in the door Paul was extremely helpful, walked me through the entire process and just made the whole experience pleasant and stress-free. I highly recommend Paul and this dealership.
Everyone was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable, from the Salesman, Finance Personnel, Used Car Department, and Service Department. This is our third purchase from Toyota of Hackensack and it has always been an experience that has turned out to be pleasant, comfortable and stress free. Thank you.
I knew exactly what I was looking for but didn't have high hopes of speaking to a salesperson who didn't have the high-pressure sales tactic (which is a total turn-off to most). But from the moment Walter introduced himself, I knew right away that he wasn't one of them. He was very professional, patient with all of my questions, very knowledgeable about what I wanted and made the transaction very easy and smooth. Even with my bank's subpar funding service, Walter did everything he could to make sure the deal closed as scheduled on 12/19. I am a first-time customer at this dealership but would highly recommend it to anyone looking to buy and will be back to Walter for my future purchases. Thanks very much, Walter!
I had a great experience. Armando when above and beyond to make sure I got the best deal ever. I recommend Armando, he is very friendly and he answer all my questions.
A enjoyable experience. I didn't have to wait long to see Mr Cedric who answered my questions about my insurance coverage through Toyota. I had my car serviced and in the meantime I sat down in a comfortable waiting room and had the choice of indulging in coffee and bagels or hot chocolate and bagels
Toyota of Hackensack did an AMAZING job in helping me purchase a new lease, and Armando gave me a great deal! Danny also was so nice in greatly explaining to me in detail how all of the features in my new car work. Thanks again!
Very rude people Appointment not making any deference the estimated waiting time will be about 2 hours And you have to watch out for your money coz they will try to get the most of you
This is my third car with Toyota and each experience is better than the last. Their sales staff is always knowledgeable about their products and their competitors. Very nice clean and state of the art showrooms. I will recommend everyone in the car market to visit and use Toyota of Hackensack. You will not be disappointed!
Been dealing with Toyota of Hackensack for the last 6 yrs these guys are very professional caring considerate and knowledgable...The general manage Fred Radulic heard of of my concerns and executed the problem thanks Fred
I can t understand the great ratings. We went in this morning and asked to see a Camry since it has changed since our 2014. The salesman took us outside and the door was locked. I had to ask him to get a key. We then went back inside and he just stared at us. We had to lead the conversation . I asked if we could get the blind spot monitor in the LE as an addition and he said no, we have to get the XLE. I asked what colors the car came in and he said white, black and silver. I asked what else and did he have a sample of the colors. He had no brochures. It was like pulling teeth. At that point we walked out and went to a dealer in Fair Lawn and bought an LE WITH blind spot monitor and drove it home! The unprofessional attitude was astonishing! I d never go back.
I had a very positive experience with Ana Mayers in sales. I priced a 2017 Highlander with six dealers in the Bergen/Passaic County area and not only did she beat every price she went above and beyond to help me with every question and request. I was coming out of complicated lease through a credit union and in spite of all the challenges she was able to keep the deal as promised and kept me updated every step of the way. It can be a challenge to deal with some car sales people, even in new car sales, so my experience with Ana and Hackensack Toyota was refreshing. I would certainly recommend Ana and this dealership to anyone looking for the best price and a no-hassle experience.
Armando was great. Very personable, knowledgeable and super respectful. Highly recommend him and will definitely use him again when the time to renew my lease comes.
Mixed bag in sales. Went in and meet Alex last week. Great guy, good conversation, came back to see him today. He was busy so we got Johnathan. Alright, sure. Brought the keys, no plate, but it needed a jump anyway. Fine, lets talk, brings back the "sales worksheet" with nothing that matches what's online and he's talking in circles about the number and never said anything that added up. Then, because chastising the guy with the check always works out, he asked how hard the math was? Guess he didn't anticipate there are people in the world that took four semesters of calculus and know how to add. We walked in with a check, we walked out with a check, a bad taste, and a serious confusion as to what had just transpired.
UPDATE 2/10. Sent email to the provided address same day. Nothing. Seems they are WAY more interested like appearing responsive than actually being responsive. Was 3 stars, no longer.
I worked for them long time ago, This dealership don't care about their own staff, the people they see every day, Do you think they will care about customers? course not, The managers are a bunch of Clowns! this place is a scam. I LEFT AFTER WORKING FOR THEM ONLY FOR 3 WEEKS CAUSE I CAN'T STEAL FROM PEOPLE LIKE THEY DO WHEN HIDING FEES AND CRAZY PRICES FOR FINANCE PRODUCTS AND WARRANTY'S.
We are from NY. Everyone knows the dealers in NY are horrible. (Speaking from experience) Coming to Jersey, to this place was heaven!!! Mr Nixen and Mr Edwin are the best combo. Ask for them. They are honest and will actually work with you and your income to give you the best offer. (including policy ) I m not writing this review because the have requested it. I m doing this because they deserve it. If you need a car this is the place to get one and don t hesitate to ask for these two; you ll never regret it. It s worth the visit!
Toyota service hackensack. I was there for my a Toyota camry service and the first thing i noticed is that there is no way any customer can determine where they have get their car in for service. Almost clueless. So no proper customer service. Next thing is the service executive named Rich was so rude and disrespectful while replying. I had a coupon for synthetic oil change for $14.95 and i wanted him to get the same done. The coupon clearly states the offer and inspite of which he started arguing with me rudely that it costs more. I drove 15 miles to reach this center just because i have acoupon but it still defeats the purpose. However i am truly disappointed with this service provided here. I honestly don't suggest this place to anyone else.
We have been dealing with this dealership for many years and Michael was one of the best person in sales they had. After he was gone, we have been suffering a lot lately. I would specifically like to mention Mary Green (Internet Sales), i wanted to buy out Toyota Camry whose lease was over and i wanted to see how much would be the amount every month if i finance it for 4 or 5 years. I contacted them through the chat on their website, called them on their local number and sent email to reach out to them as i wasn't having enough time to go and visit their dealership. Mary first informed me that the vehicle is under my mother in law's name and she should allow this, my mother in law allowed it and confirmed by email and through telephonic conversation, this satisfied Mary's request, then she asked for me to sign the form with my SSN and other details to give me the rate. I did everything possible but in the end, she refused to give me any information saying that i have to visit them. If this was the case, why did you make me waste so much of my time on chat/email/phone/filling out the forms. This is ridiculous, when i asked for the contact details of the management, she simply ignored and didnt provide me any details. Sure Mary and the management of Hackensack Toyota, i would rather take my business else where but to deal with people like you who treat their old committed customers so badly.
Do yourself a favor come to see Miriam FIRST. After days of visiting other Toyota dealerships and having less than perfect experiences.. we ended up at Toyota of Hackensack & were greeted by Miriam; everything went quick, simple, and easy from there. My husband and I have bought many cars, but this was by far the best!
These people want wayyyy too much money for a preowned car. Wont budge on their Internet prices. On top of that there's an additional $400 add -on that you can find right here on their own website. Go ahead and fight them over a $400 add on fee, but I'm going elsewhere!
Awesome, as always! I think this is my 5th lease with Hackensack Toyota. Great sales and service team! Jay Rim was a great stand in for my usual great salesperson, Bill James!
very smooth transition buy in days if not for me ...the sales person ( Ana) was very humble and very serving the financial manager kept it clear on what was in my best interest,,, little to no pressure coming back and forth was pleasant...always got good attention .. cars where ready and was given the truth with their carfax and the truth about my carfax ( it was shame full...lol i didn't know my car) ...but i did know what i wanted..more dealers should be this way
you have the worst customer service I have encountered no one in finance answers calls managers don't pick up phones if I new this was going to be like this I would never have bought a vehicle from your co.
My wife and I were overwhelmed with looking for a vehicle in other dealers that didn t help us because of my credit score. I am so happy that I applied online with Approved Loan Store whom referred me to Michael Burden at Hackensack Toyota. Michael went beyond my expectations to find me a vehicle that I liked and be comfortable in my monthly payments. I definitely recommend to see him and his team. They listen to you and work with you. They do not rush you away unless a deal has been done. Visit Hackensack Toyota and ask for Michael Burden or Matt.
I took the car to do service and they informed me that the water pump was leaking, after checking it very well with my own computer this was false, the pup is working perfectly. this is the worst service I have had in my life.
Inquired about a 2017 Toyota Highlander XLE. They stated that it was in stock. I get there an hour later and apparently it was sold. I checked the lot and confirmed that it wasn t sold. The sales staff didn t want to sell me the car on a busy money making Saturday. They didn t want to take a loser deal. Classic bait and switch. Buyer beware. Thank me later.
Thank you Ron for a wonderful car buying experiance. We never felt pressured, we will recommend this dealership to our family and friends. Thanks to Dan who helped us at the end too!!!
I got there on time for a 2pm oil change. The lady said my car would be ready by 3:30pm. I asked if she was sure because I needed to pick up my daughter who was 20 minutes away at 4pm. She assured me there would be no problem. At 3:30pm she said that the car was not ready!!!! I wasn't able to leave until 4pm. I would NOT recomend this place. I was only there for a basic oil change, I do not understand why it took 2 hours.
I would recommend Toyota of Hackensack for all of your car buying needs. I just purchased my second vehicle from them. Originally I purchased a used car, and I just traded it in for a new car. Miriam is helpful and patient and very easy to work with. Our new CHR is great. The finance manager Mike goes above and beyond. All around good place.
I came in for an oil change and ended up being forced to pay $500+. I was basically held hostage there and was told I could NOT get my car since it was already on the lift. They said my car needed an oil pan because it was leaking and that the whole system needed to be changed. I kept telling them that I didn t have the money to pay for this and didn t believe that I had a leak. The agent, Stephanie, DID NOT give me any other options and just kept telling me that I needed to change my oil pan and they could not release my car to me unless this was done. I always come here to get my oil changes from when I ve purchased my car here! and have never experienced this kind of service! If this was something that was absolutely needed why was this not detected sooner since I had already been waiting for over TWO HOURS. For her to come tell me that my car was already drained and the process was started already and I had no other choice! She made me feel so helpless and did not give me any other options.
We wanted to compare similar models, but the salesperson only brought the key for one model and did not go back to the office for the other key. When we asked some basic questions, the salesperson was unable to answer. When we asked if someone else would be able to answer the questions we were told "I don't know." (I could go on, but you get the picture.) The salesperson said they would call us with prices and more information that day, but we never received that call. A sales manager called to ask about our experience and said a different salesperson would call us with information but never received that call either.....We found a great dealership in Fair Lawn with a very helpful and knowledgeable salesperson, and bought there instead. It was WELL worth the trip past Hackensack.
Rude staff, super rude receptionist as if her job isn t mainly the face of the store, she sets the atmosphere for the costumers. Sales team does not fall through on follow up calls, does not care after sales is made. It s like playing telephone in this place and no one can give you a definite answer even when you enter the building to get some type of answers in person it s always someone will call you. Also no one will apologize for the receptionist behavior, they ll simply telling you she acts funny sometimes. Definitely not recommending people here.
The attention they have is terrible, the employees answer badly. They don't like speaking Spanish as if that language were a sin, knowing that many of those who work there are Hispanic Latinos. What a pity !!! Terrible by Toyota company.
PROS: This is the greatest dealership I ever set foot in. The customers are friendly there, the staff is always wanting to help, and my salesperson-Armando is a very trustworthy guy who I became friends with over time. I bought my Corolla from them and there wasn't any unusual problems with it. The layout is great in a newly renovated building, the bathrooms are clean, and there's even a children's play area. Plus the fact they have a lot with over 400 cars...biggest lot of any dealer
CONS: Despite saying they honor true car value I had to fight with them to honor the price of my car quoted on the website. I also witness the mechanics telling customers that they need new parts when the customer really doesn't, that way they can make money. In their showroom, there really isn't anything to interesting. It's just a bunch of pre-owned cars, never usually anything new & interesting.
OVERALL: I definitely would recommend this dealer to any Toyota fan! They have the staff, they have the largest inventory selection, and the atmosphere and the customers are nice. The mechanics have to speed up the process of routine check ups and they have to stop cheating people out of their money, but overall, its great.
I wish I could give 2.5 stars. Had a bad experience buying a certified used car. Had problems with brakes on a 6000 miles car. They said it wasn't their fault. At least the didn't charge me for that service but still they said they are not responsable for that on a new car
My car broke down and I needed something fast. I met with Armando who is the most honest and courteous sales person. I had a budget and I got them to discount the car a little and I got a great deal. I am so happy I came here Armando is very professional and not pushy and showed me a lot of options. I will never buy a car from anyone else. Steve Escobar is a great finance person
So far my experience with Toyota in general has been pretty good. The only thing for me is the negotiating takes too long. From the moment I walked in I was upfront on what I could spend. And I when I was ready to walk out then they where able to give me a deal. Which was frustrating Bc it took over two hrs. Not including we had to come back later to finish the paperwork. The service department is good. They have been helpful. I have gone to Toyota Universe for over 4 hrs and this was my first time going to the Hackensack location. In my opinion, I like the Universe (off Rt.46) location better.
Terrible experience! The staff was not professional or interested in showing me a car. There is no one to greet or meet you at the entrance door. If you really want to buy a car don't waste your time going to this location.
I'm only giving one star because I can't give zero stars. This dealership is horrible. I waited 4.5 hours while buying the car. Then I had to wait an additional half hour when they gave me the car dirty. The sales girl made me feel like I was troubling her. She had a horrible attitude. Neither the finance guy nor the sales girl waited around to shake my hand. I think that's common courtesy if you're spending a lot of money somewhere. They also gave me the car without an inspection sticker. I picked up my plates and registration and asked the MANAGER point blank if I needed to get an inspection and he told me no. I just received a $130 ticket for driving without a sticker. I came back to the dealership and the same manager told me to contact dmv because it's not his problem nor his fault. He has a horrible attitude also. STAY AWAY!!! They clearly don't care about their customers.
Plase be aware of this dealer, they lock me with a 6.25% interest rate having a perfect score!!! I'm not a subprime customer, my score is awesome!!!.
I got my previous car in a different dealer and I got 3.9% rate. This dealer gave me like 2.3% more than a regular car loan interest is right now, that's lot of money I will lose. Probably they will answer is not their fault and is the bank, then just change you freaking bank!!!!
Be aware of the numbers the seller and the loan processor are working on for you, if is possible use "Toyota of Hackensack loan calculator" then you won't get screw with their tricky math !!!
