Friendly chatty staff. Food from the bar is good pub grub and really good prices. Ales on offer are usually a Harveys ale and a guest ale. Worth having a loyalty card as it adds 10% of your food bill to credit that can be put towards food at a later date. It also has some offers through the year. Can easily get crowded in the colder months.

There was a decent amount of room, quite a bit of parking space around. I went there recently for someone's wedding and it could fit all of us, there was a lot of people at this reception. The prices are good and I would go back again.

Great drinks at good prices. It's very pretty with a move atmosphere and garden. Can get a bit cold when it is busy with doors opening and closing.

Food and staff are great, they could do with sorting the stale sweat smell out in the pub part but I think that was unfortunate timing rather than a usual thing, not the right sort of weather to fling open the windows!

Decent food and decent pub. Prices are as you expect but half of the furniture they use is falling apart. I've been waiting for years to see if they actually buy new furniture especially for outdoors. Your a seccessful pub stop being cheap scapes and update your broken down pub!!!!

Food at the bar was nice, however chili con carne was reheated and the fish in the "fish butty" was made with 4 regular supermarket fish fingers.

Lovely food, could have been a bit more generous with the meat in the fajitas.

Great outdoor space, but service is average and beer is uncommonly off or not particularly great. For the location, and for an established Tunbridge Wells central venue, which is ideal, could do much better.

Reasonable beer selection, clean and comfortable seating. On the negative side, the flashing gambling machine jars with the traditional interior. It's an otherwise very nice pub-restaurant, and in a great location.

Update: Based on feedback from the owner, increased the rating to 4. But the fixed odd betting machine isn't a good image for the pub, and is obviously there primarily as a revenue generator.

Me and my partner came here on a Saturday night and left hungry! Food was bland and simple. Complained and nothing was offered in replacement or money off. VERY overpriced for an awful meal!

My Daughter and her husband had their wedding reception here recently. I cannot fault the venue or are. Very professional and friendly. Would recommend to anyone looking for an events venue

Great pub!!! Its a mix of cosy rustic in the bar area and the restaurant modern and elegant. Lovely outdoor seating and great staff. Looking forward to a yuletide lunch soon in this fine tavern!

Not so good for someone who struggles with stairs as I do.

We have had our Christmas parties at work here for the last couple of years. They are always keen to help, and the prices we paid were fantastic. Always start a night in the area off in here, great atmosphere and drinks available. The new conservatory is looking brilliant and gives a modern look to the venue.

It was a really nice venue.I had a photo booth set up here for a wedding reception and the staff and manager were really nice.it had a nice outside seating Area.

As a party of four for a birthday it was great. The A la carte menu was fantastic value. I am extremely fussy about my steak, I ordered fillet med rare, perfectly cooked. The sevice and staff were brilliant, the kind you will often get abroad but not in England, wonderful. I am looking forward to returning to a lovely pub/restaurant for another amazing meal, totally recommend.

My local and I love it. Has a great selection of beers and ales as well as a good variety of wines. Outdoor seating is comfortable and warm throughout the year. The conservatory is great for food and views. Tucked nearly next to a busy train station, but you would never tell.

NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE!
Booked lunch for a family get together. Included 1 gluten intolerant and 3 dairy intolerant guests. All menu choices were given 2 months in advance. The choices available for those with dietary issues were very limited.
The glasses and cutlery were dirty and several had to be replaced. Food was delivered to the table in fits and starts, some people waiting for a long time to receive their dishes. When it was served, some starters arrived cold, the soup contained so much black pepper it was inedible. In addition, some guests had to ask again for their starters as the restaurant had deleted their orders. The main meals were also served erratically but were mostly well received. Not everyone was given the dessert they ordered as again the restaurant had no record of their orders. So they had to reorder and wait for ages. The custard was cold and the ice cream already melted by the time it was served. Hot drinks took far too long to arrive and were not very hot when received. The waiting staff were polite, although they were sharing the service so no-one had a table overview - things were brought to the table in duplicate or never arrived.
And afterwards, later on that evening, three members of our party had upset tummies. We will not be going back.

Very nice pub and restaurant with a good range of beers and decent (largely halloumi- based) vegetarian options. The chips are a little on the dry side, but that's a very minor point.

Went for a pre booked buffet in the conservatory area. The seating and table space made available was not adequate for the size of the group and was in an area that served as access to the outdoor space for other customers. Despite having specified vegetarian when booking, the food was meat based. I had 1 slice of cucumber and 1 of tomato from the tiny portion of salad provided, some potato salad (which to be fair was lovely) and 3 minute veg spring rolls. That was all that was provided although I was charged the same as meat eaters. Snadwiches were on mixed platters with meat and fish options so not suitable for vegetarians: professional cooks and caterers should know better than to provide cross contaminated food. Very unhappy with the lack of effort and abysmal value for money. This place is probably fine if you eat meat: if you don't, avoid as they clearly do not care.

Very comfortable and welcome. Only had food in the downstairs bar. Bar lady was very pleasant and helpful. Real Ale selection was limited but still good. Service was fairly quick and food of very high standard and reasonably priced. This place is a hidden gem, we would have missed it if we hadn't seen a sign in the main street advertising it!

Birthday group of 17 really well looked after, lovely food and very friendly staff. Nice experience.

My partner and I got married at the barn on 13.01.2019. From the moment we booked at the barn Janet and Philippe went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Both Janet and Philippe worked so hard to ensure the day was exactly what we wanted, from answering every question to meeting with us to discuss little details. On the day I was blown away by how beautiful the venue was. The food was incredible and we got so many lovely comments. I felt totally relaxed on the day knowing that everything was in good hands! I cannot thank them both enough for making our wedding day absolutely perfect.

Really nice garden to sit and have a drink. Lovely bar to visit and great on a weekend evening. Very close to the station too.

We celebrated our Diamond Wedding Celebrations there .We're in 1959 we held our Wedding Reception .It was really lovely Food and Staff excellent.

Good pub but beer is pricey for what it is and it can get very busy on Friday and Saturday. Still a good crowd, slightly older.

My son held his wedding at the Barn last Sunday and I have to congratulate all the staff on a wonderful occasion. Everything was perfect, the ceremony was lovely, the gardens looked beautiful, the wedding meal was excellent. I could find fault with nothing. Thank you for making it a memorable occasion.

We had our son s wedding here (21st April 2019) from the outset the staff went above and beyond to ensure the day was perfect. Food was amazing (thank you chef) so much fun and laughter the whole day.

Staff were great, food was lovely and the place was very festive. Altogether a lovely experience.

Really nice bar and restaurant. I can thoughly recommend the Catalan burger, burger has great taste, texture is a little crumbly but that doesn't detract. Helpful staff.

Great pub and restaurant that is well suited for weddings and parties.

Just a minute or so away from taxi's, bus stops, and the station so very easy to get to. Bit tucked away so it's not immediately obvious where this place is.

Really good beer garden with areas in and out of the shade. Fair amount of seating inside too.

Drinks are a bit expensive but it's also more upmarket than other places. Service is very good also.

Had a wedding party here tonight, brilliant venue! Very accomodating, friendly helpful staff and manager! Food was amazing! I don't have a single complaint about them. Brilliant the whole night, would definitely recommend it for a wedding dinner and party. Great cocktails too!

Didint know this place was here! It was only due to a friend inviting me for lunch there that I visited! But I'm glad I did as the food was delicious and it's such a nice venue! Highly recommend!

My Aunty and Uncle got married here, atmosphere was lovely and I was told that the food wasn't great from the family and friends. However the vegan food was melt in your mouth delicious, I'd say try their food because I didn't taste the not so great food, I only tasted the vegan food which is excellent quality and service is brilliant.

Nice pub with great outdoor seating with heaters to keep you warm. It is also cheaper than a lot of the bars/pubs in town, other than spoons of course!

Fab meeting place with good pub food. Well worth a visit
