We bought our first Motorhome used from Richmond Indiana Camping World yesterday! Loved our service but let me add this. The detailers who cleaned it GREAT. The repair technician FABULOUS. The finance guy FUNNY and AWESOME. The manager at this location HELPFUL and on point with communication. Lastly our sales people...Best to work with! Purchased sunseeker motor home and had excellent help from all departments. Also when I got home and discovered the TV remote was missing Todd Walton contacted the manufacturer and had one shipped to me which I greatly appreciated since I tried two universal remotes that wouldn't work.

Great, no hassle RV purchase. We were looking for an older, affiliate travel trailer. Thomas our sales consultant was great in showing us many units on a very inclement New Years Eve day. He even stayed late to have the one we liked moved in doors so we could inspect roof more closely at my request.

Felt I got a very fair price on the unit, and staff was very attentive to repairing any minor issues and detailing the RV prior to delivery.

Overall exceeded my expectations

Our salesman was Scott Baker and he very informative and worked within the confines of our budget. We purchased an ACE 29.2. We love it. You could tell that these people knew what they were doing. It was a smooth trip from sales to financing to insurance and out the door. They are very organized .

We worked with Brooklyn and she was great to work with. We got a great deal and we are so happy with our experience with her. There were so many trailers to look at, so you won't be disappointed with the selection of RV's.

Justin was the one that we worked with for completing all of our paperwork and he was also great to work with. Took his time to explain everything.

Walk through was done by George and he was great. Took time to explain everything that we asked and was very friendly.

The sales manager was great. Took time to make sure that we were taken care of and went out of his way to make us happy.

We have looked at RV's at probably close to a dozen places and Camping World of Richmond was by far the best to work with.

Overall it was a great experience and we feel that we got a great deal. I would highly recommend them.

My husband and I are first time RV owners. We had no clue what we wanted or needed. We made several calls to other RV dealers and did not have much luck with finding what would work for us and with sales reps. Then we happen to call Wade Stinson at Richmond Camping World. We are three hours away so he set up a time for us to come look at several different campers he thought we might be interested in. He was right on the money and we purchased our first camper with Wade and Camping World. Wade was amazing and patience with us and answered all the silly questions that first time campers have. Not only was Wade Amazing the entire staff at Richmond was fantastic, Everyone from Wade, Financing and the sales clerk in the store. We will ALWAYS take the extra time and drive back to Richmond for all our camper needs. Thanks to Wade Stinson and everyone involved with our great experience there.

I had a great experience in the body shop. I had a large decal replaced that was faded really bad. Michael Zelko was very easy to work with and the quality of the work was as good as I expected. My camper looks new again. The shop appears clean and organized and the staff was professional and courteous. My work actually came in under what he estimated and he adjusted the bill accordingly which shows me that he is trustworthy. My job was a fairly small job overall but nonetheless, they made a great impression on me. Highly recommend.

I gave an overall rating of 2 stars and there are reasons why. Travis Powers was an awesome salesman and would use him in a heartbeat again! However, there have been a couple of issue since purchasing the camper. We were charged a fee to have the camper inspected and make sure everything worked etc. We get home with the camper which is 3 hours away and the speaker in the awning is blown, so the sound quality was horrible. After multiple messages to Travis, Todd from the service department contacts me and I get him the information off the speaker and told him to send it to me and I ll fix it myself. I did receive the speaker, so that issue is fixed. Now I have an issue with the fridge. I turned the fridge on a couple days before our camping trip to get the fridge cooled down (just like I have done with my campers before). The fridge will stay on for a few hours and then the check light comes on and the fridge shuts off. I turn the fridge off and back on and it continues to do the same thing. I emailed Todd for advise on how to fix it or suggestions and no response. We did go on our camping trip and had no issues with the fridge kicking off, so the only difference is the camper is parked inside of my shed at home with a 50amp plug and at the campground it is parked outside, so don t know if that s the issue or what, but have never had this issue before with my campers. When searching for a new camper I saw multiple negative reviews about Camping World and just figured they were reviews from the type of people who you can never make happy with what you do, so tried to ignore some of the negative comments. However, I am now one of those people leaving negative comments because all the stories are true and I tried not to believe them. When you purchase your camper they waste an hour of your time talking about how great of a service department they have and will do anything to help, well that appears to be a lie because I still have no response 4 days later. I am a very easy going person and I usually try not to be negative, but it makes me mad that I ve wasted this money on this inspection and still have issues. My only advice is that only purchase from Camping World if you live close to them, so you can take it to their shop to be fixed if you can t try and trouble shoot some things yourself because their service department will not respond to you.

John was very thorough in his walk through and answered all of our questions. And Zach was quick and accurate when giving us our service review. Awesome place!

I traveled from 400 miles away to buy a motorhome with these guys, they had a great price listed online and it was worth the drive, I was a little worried about making that far of a trip and not knowing exactly what I was getting but we did the walk-through and the motorhome was flawless. they were incredibly helpful and my sales person Travis Power did everything he told me he was going to do. I couldn t be happier and would recommend them to anyone.

My brand new camper leaked at both slideouts so I took it in to be fixed. I was told its not leaking cause they ran water on it. You could clearly see on the ceiling where it was discolored from the leaks. I made phone call after phone call trying to resolve the issue. Nobody would return my calls or was told they would call back. Of course they never did. After 6 weeks of fighting with them and calling the corporate office they miraculously found where the leak was. I was also told by a guy named Patrick that he was going to have Tommy, the service manager, put a $200 Gift card in our camper for our trouble. But you guessed it, that didnt happen. Ive called multiple times about it but i always get the we will call you back answer, which they never do. I give up on the gift card and will not spend a dime at Camping World and have advised all my friends and family to do the same. So I would highly recommend NOT having your equipment serviced there. Nobody knows whats going on or even cares. When I called to talked to the Service Manager Tommy, I was told he was on vacation. Like I said this went on for 6 weeks. It was a very frustrating situation

We came to Richmond Camping World to have several issues fixed our new travel trailer. The guys in the shop went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied. The Service Manager , Trent, runs a great team. Everyone on his team truly seemed to really care about our safety and camping experience. Trent was telling us how he has a five days to camping promise. If your problem keeps you from camping they will fix it in five days. There is no where else that gives you that kind of service.
Thank you Glen for helping with our hitch, we are safer because of you. Thank you Todd and Brian for fixing all of those annoying problems that come with a new camper. Thank you again Trent, you have a great team.
We drove two hours each way to have these guys work on our camper. It was well worth the effort.

I went to Camping World to complain about damage to a braking system part installed on my Mini Cooper's skid plate. I talked to Doug, the parts manager, who directed Damon, a parts associate, to investigate my problem. Damon determined that the problem was a improper installation; found the required part; and arranged for the service department to fix the problem. Matt, a service advisor, arranged for the proper service technician to perform the repair and had my car repaired and back to me in less than an hour. Total cost to me was less than two hours of my time and nothing else! All who participated deserve a heartfelt thank you and well done!

We have been doing research online for the last month for campers and RV's... after spending 5 hours at Camping World-Richmond, IN. with Tabitha and Tony, we had learned more in those 5 hours than we have in the past month. I haven't actually purchased an RV from Tom Raper. I asked for a price quote on a particular unit, which I received. However when I tried to call to place a deposit on the unit based on the price I was quoted, I was informed that the price quote was not the actual price and in fact the moderately priced unit would cost $17,000 more. It was a disappointing experience.

We would not recommend the service department of Camping World in Richmond, Indiana. We purchased a Thor Four Winds RV there in July 2016. We are happy with the RV now that all of the problems that Camping World did not fix, or actually created themselves, have been fixed by competent technicians, but it has taken us 5 months to get all of the problems corrected. The shower door that we asked Camping World - Richmond to install, to replace the original shower curtain, was installed upside down and the frame fell apart when we drove over the first bumpy road. It cost us $200 to have it properly reinstalled by another RV dealership. More importantly, the tire valve extensions that we purchased and had installed at Camping World - Richmond (so that we could more easily check the tire pressure on the inside tires of the rear dual tires) were apparently not installed properly, weren't the right size or weren't tightened enough, because by the time we took the RV to another dealer to have an oil change, both of the inside dual tires were flat! We had to pay to have new tire valve extenders properly installed. We also asked the other RV dealership to try to determine why two of the marker lights on the front of the RV did not light up when the headlights were on. They discovered that the wires that should have been connected to those lights had never been connected at the factory. In our opinion, Camping World - Richmond should have checked to determine whether or not all of the lights on the vehicle worked before selling it. Can you imagine a reputable car dealer selling a brand new car with a light that did not work? In addition to all of these problems that Camping World - Richmond created, or did not fix, we found their level of customer service to be virtually non-existent. When we phoned to ask if the shower door that we wanted installed had arrived, the service advisor (who was supposed to be assisting us) was never at her desk and never returned our calls. After calling repeatedly, I finally talked to someone in the parts department and learned that the shower door hadn't even been ordered yet! We had to wait nearly three weeks, after more un-returned phone calls, before I was able to catch the service advisor at her desk and learn that the door had been at the dealership for more than a week! If I hadn't called repeatedly, we would probably still be waiting for Camping World to call us about having the shower door installed! If the service department at Camping World - Richmond can't even install tire valve extensions or shower doors properly, I certainly wouldn't trust them to work on an RV engine or generator or any complex electrical component in my RV!

They lied about many things.

They lied about many things.
Once we signed the paperwork all the things they promised were never fulfilled.
They secretly mounted a $2,500 paint protection which they DID NOT do.
They stopped being friendly after the papers were signed.
Tabitha Golliher, the sales representative assigned to us, would barely reply to emails unless we called and pestered.
After leaving it in the lot until they did the paint protection, they messed up the automatic steps and we had to leave it again.
They promised to deliver it for us to a location near to us so we left.
Little did we know, their manager Scott Baker lied to us about that as well.
Instead they changed it to a free $250 gift card.
Now it has taken over a week to inspect and fix some simple steps and the parking break got stuck to the point where we couldn't take the RV yet again. They said they pushed a button and it worked the next day. While that is possible, it did not resolve the issue and they refuse to look into it.
They didn't wash the windows or shampoo the carpets until we mentioned that they needed to do so.
The black water and grey water tanks were full and we had to clean them out ourselves.
Other people's waste. How could they not clean that out when they take the RV in?
There is a leak on one location of the RV but they said it has been taken care of. I highly doubt that.
Simply put, I will never deal with Camping World ever again. I will go elsewhere

This is by far the best dealership that I've been to. A traffic accident caused us to be nearly 30 minutes late for our appointment. The sales, service and finance staff all stayed late to get our deal done and on our way with our new camper.

I have purchased vehicles and travel trailers from other dealerships in the past, but Camping World put all of them to shame. I dealt with Barry Burdette specifically and he did everything in his power to help me at every turn (including staying late a couple times because of the fact that I live all the way over here in Ohio!). Thank you for helping me get into an awesome camper Barry! As expected, it was worth the drive to buy from you guys!

This was first ever travel trailer purchase and my salesman Curtis McDonald couldn't of been anymore helpful. His knowledge of the travel trailer made my purchasing decision so much easier. He assisted me with the proper essentials needed, not only for the trailer but my truck as well. You can he is a family man, because he treated us as if we were a family. I would highly recommend you stop in and ask for him. Spoke with another gentleman as well, Wade, didn't catch his last name. He went over and beyond on assisting us as well. All around two wonderful people.

If you are thinking about purchasing an RV from Camping World in Richmond Indiana, run hard and fast while you can. Sales practices are shady, they throw in many hidden costs, and never show you the true cost of your RV. It took over a week and a half to get a price on an RV and they still would never show me the true numbers, sales agreement. BUYER BEWARE - you may think you are getting a good deal at first glance until you get ready to sign the papers, but they add in thousands of dollars in Prep fees. Google around the internet and you will find hundreds of horror stories on their sales and service. While I won't go into details, I will say that we unfortunately purchased our first RV from them that had too many issues to count and I've had to follow up with them countless times, only to be told that they had to check with someone else and would have to call me back. Of course, that never happens. The first time we took our RV up for service and returned to pick it up, the employee at the desk couldn't find the paperwork or keys and simply said "I don't know what to tell you, guess you will have to come back". LOL - what a joke. We ended up driving 5 hours away to American RV and purchased a new RV and had an outstanding experience. My advice as a new RV owner, stick to the smaller dealerships where they actually care about the customer and have common sense.

Patrick was our salesman and he did a great job of working with us to get us what we wanted. I give him 5 stars. He is very knowledgeable and friendly.
So far all has gone well but we are still in the process of buying our trailer. Hope all goes as well as our first day.

Don't waste your valuable time with trying to buy anything from here. Drove 3 hrs to look at a 40' motorhome came to a agreement on price and so on and they were to call me the following Monday to get it all done. No call backs no nothing - I called left messages with salesmen and manager - no call backs. Finally i called salesman's cell - tells me the unit is a consignment and now the owners won't take the agreement upon offer, and they as Richmond RV don't take cash and you must finance to get the posted price etc. Never in my life have i had so much unnecessary hassle to spend money. I raised the already agreeable price 2,500 for a service inspection ? Amost a week now and i have called and left messages and no cooperation
Must be a shandy operation - and the supposed serviced and checked over unit won't start for us to look over after driving that far and that much notice - and they said it needed all 6 new batteries and i would have to purchase them

Discrimination for paying cash i guess
Has scoured my on the entire RV industry!
Advice don't waste your time here

We came into the store not knowing anything about campers, but we knew that we wanted to look at purchasing a new one. Barry greeted us at the door and after asking a few questions about what we needed he showed us a few campers that checked everything on our want list. He was very patient with us and answered all of our questions and he was certainly knowledgeable about their offerings. The finance department was also wonderful and they secured financing for us very quickly. Upon delivery, a service tech went over the operation of everything within the camper. I really felt like Camping World did everything possible to give us the absolute best experience that we could have. I would absolutely buy another RV from them and I recommend them to anyone!

Without an appointment he took it upon himself to diagnose the problem, explain how to correct it and had us on our way. We are extremely grateful. Tommy was knowledgeable, professional, and extremely helpful. He deserves a raise!!

Initially, I went to this CW for possible warranty work on my 2018 R-Pod. Because of my confidence in Drake Baldwin (Service Advisor), I decided to have them handle some other service work I wanted done (such as install a Smart Plug, replace the dealer-installed brake controller etc). I appreciated Drake's knowledge. He and his team exceeded my expectations and because of them, I will travel three times as far (as a closer CW) to go to the Richmond, IN location. Another plus, the retail store is very well stocked.

Let me start by saying this. I have bought vehicles, motorcycles, boats and I have never had such a bad experience when purchasing something. We spent several months looking for a new camper. We finally decided to go to the Boat Sport and Travel Show. We spent two days looking at different campers. When we decided to purchase one we bought it from Camper World of Richmond, our sales consultant Mitch was good. The Finance Manger that day seemed to know what he was doing. We signed papers that day. I should have done more research on Rates but that is my fault. We were told that with the purchase we would receive a New 50-inch TV. We are now two months later still have not received that. I did refinance with my local bank less than a week later for a better rate. I called and left message after message, sent emails to the Finance Manager to get the all extras cancelled. It took him over a month to finally get me the paperwork to get this cancelled. I was also in touch with him about title work. It took them 45 days to get my paperwork for a brand new camper. I was told due to my troubles that they would refund my paint and protection by David Dozier. Now he will not even take my calls or answer any of my emails. I do not believe that the Paint and Fabric protection was even done. When we got the camper home you can tell that they did not even get it cleaned up for delivery. There was wood chips in the bathtub and all over the floor. I do not like giving bad reviews, but do to my experience I say buyers beware. If I could give a zero that is what I would give.

We were traveling (i.e. no appointment) and having trouble with our fridge not cooling while underway. It was near the end of the day on a holiday weekend Friday, no less, but Tommy was willing to take a look anyway. He quickly diagnosed the problem and DIDN'T EVEN CHARGE US ANY SERVICE!! The fix he recommended has worked wonderfully - we would highly recommend this location.

In August 2017 I made an 11 hour trip (each way) to make a trade on a 2016 Wolfpack toy hauler. There was a lot of communication before the trip was made and it all went well. After arriving, the trailer was exactly as described (actually exceeded my expectations for a used camper) and they did everything they could to accommodate me and get me back on the road for my long return trip. I stayed there over night in their full hookup site, then closed the deal the next morning and headed home a "Happy Camper" LOL! They did everything they said they would do and the camper was exactly what they said it was. I see lots of bad reviews but my experience was a good one. Thanks!!

So disappointed, had worked up a deal on the phone for cash with one of the sales persons,however when we were on the way to pick up the camper the deal changed to 800.00 dollars more. I have texts from salesman to prove this. Wow, this is no way to do business. I was not contacted about a deal change until I was on my way, who does that. I will be contacting the corporate office about this.

As previous individuals had said they are terrible. We had hoped not the case. Drove the 4.5 hrs to get there only to be met with bait and switch tactics. Listed on the web for a price, then they try and jack up the price. Now we are back up past the web price list 2000.00 dollars and that is before tax and license. Then told finacing manager will contact us tomorrow since he wasn't in or available while we were there. No calls back and when we called told he won't be back till Friday. We ask then for the other finance guy and told he would call us back. That as well didn't happen. They listed it for one price but in reality they wanted at least 4000.00 more. Bait and switch completely. Also the photos did not match what the listed vehicle was and the one shown was modified with no stove, generator an no secondary battery.

We just got an RV at Camping World of Richmond. They really nail it. They showed us what we want to see. No rush, no pushing, no asked how much we want to spend. They answered all our questions. From the sale Associate Scott Bell, the Finance Associate Dan Coulter, the nice person that walked us and showed us how the RV worked and the nice young guy that walked us through the store and showed us and explained what we need, to all of them we gave them a 100+. Persons like them is what every business need to excel. Thank you to all of you! .... and now....... a new adventure begin......

Wendi has gone over and beyond what a typical salesperson usually does. She made a personal video of a camper we were interested in. It was very thorough. She is very personable and easily accessible through text . She was eager to answer all questions. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is thinking of buying any RV. You go girl!

What a great place! You can tell these folks care about their customers and want to earn your business! Every RV we looked at was in outstanding condition and spotless at that! Even the used campers with pop outs were well taken care of!
The salesman, Patrick was one of the best we have ever seen! He taught us more in an hour than we had gained from the last 3 dealerships we went to! We will be back in two weeks to take home our RV and if you are looking for an RV I'd advise you to do the same and go buy from Camping World of Richmond! These folks have it going on!

We looked for campers for MONTHS prior to meeting with Wade and Jeff from Camping Works and I could not be happier for making the long trip to Richmond. From top to bottom the service has been stellar and I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a camper or camper accessories.

Never, ever will I go to this place for a camper or my camping necessities. Went with a family member to pick up his new camper. First, they approved him for a different camper than he even looked at. Second of all, the sales guy tried to make it right with some extras that he promised. He did not receive everything he was promised yet. (Hoping they follow through with their promise.) After these promises, my brother was promised that his truck and camper would be done in 45 minutes to an hour. Approximately 3.5 hours later, we went to see what was taking so long. The truck, nor the camper were not even started. After getting three different stories of why it had not been started, they got all of it together in about 20 minutes. So sorry to speak bad of this company, but this isn t the first bad experience I have had with the same company. I believe you only get one chance to set a first impression , and they ruined my impression of their company.

Buying the camper went super smooth, Travis was super helpful. Finally got to work with the Service Department and they were excellent in all aspects. I don't want anybody take that I bought a camper and had to take it to the Service center so soon. With Covid-19 I couldn't get it and had to have a weight distribution hitch put on. I would recommend these people to anyone.

We had a great experience bringing in our RV for service. It was done quickly and everyone was friendly. When we went to pick it up we noticed something else that needed to be fixed. It was fixed on the spot. They did not make us make another trip to pick it up. As the tech worked on the second issue the manager frequently came out to see the progress. We definitely will return to Camping World. They treat their customers great,

Our experience at Camping World in Richmond, India...

Our experience at Camping World in Richmond, Indiana, was outstanding. Our salesman, Ralph McMichael, was truly amazing. We called Saturday evening and Wade (another outstanding contact), referred us to Ralph, who immediately called us. He was quick to answer our questions and get us exactly what we wanted. It s so frustrating when people say they will call back and then they never respond. This was certainly not the case with Ralph. We completed the sale the next Friday (yesterday), in 6 days. It could have happened even quicker, but that s as soon as we could get there. When we arrived, an hour before our scheduled time, Ralph greeted us and got things moving. I recommend Ralph and this Camping World!

We came all the way from SC to take advantage of a great deal. Our salesman, Ralph McMichael went to get lengths to help us with the camper. He even sent us a video of the inside and out the of the camper. The video and his personal service and follow up convinced us to make the Trek to Indiana. In addition, Ron, very patiently showed us everything we needed to know about our camper. He was extremely knowledgeable. All the people we dealt with we're very nice. It was a very pleasant sales experience.
