DO NOT BUY FROM TOM RAPER!!!
We have been camping for over 35 yrs. This is our 3rd new camper in that time frame. In Jan 2015 we bought a 2015 Rockwood Ultra Lite from Tom Raper in Richmond . We love the floor plan & the quality. We had a great salesman, John Hancock but things went down hill from the time we said yes we want this camper. I think Tom Raper should retrain ALL of their staff so everyone has the same answer when asked a question. We wanted to put down a large amount on the camper with our credit card so we could get the points on our credit card. We were told by John that would not be a problem. The finance man,Jim (I think was his name) said wait & contact where the camper is financed, then pay the larger amount with your credit card with them so we could get a lower interest rate on our loan. We did just that only to find out that we could not do that with the bank nor could we have done it with Tom Raper either. We should have been told in the beginning we could not use our credit card for a large amount. One of the things we wanted was to not have our warranty start till April since we would not use it till then so we were told by John we could leave our camper there & the warranty would not start till we picked it up. When we went in to sign the papers we found out the warranty started then. We decided to set up a date & time to pick up our camper the next week so they would have time to clean it up & do the ECO package. When we got there, at our designated date & time to do our walk thru we found our camper still outside covered in snow. We then had to wait for them to bring it in & set it up.Then we did our walk thru with snow melting & water dripping everywhere. The young man who did our walk thru was new & was very unsure of himself. Most of the questions we asked he could not answer. They had someone video taping it of which you are suppose to get a copy when finished. Well we did not get a copy of the DVD at our walk thru. It wasn't till I sent an email to the manager expressing our frustration of how things were going & he found out we did not get it that one was sent to us. We did not & still do not understand how somethings work on this new camper. They also had not done the ECO coating on the outside, we were not even sure it had been done on the inside since it didn't look like they had cleaned it up. We had to wait several hours for this process so we went to the RV store to pick up some items.Once we got home I found out that we were suppose to get a 5% discount on the items we bought. I called the store & they apologized & gave us credit on our credit card.
Once home & spent time in our Rockwood we found a few things that needed to be taken care of before we went camping the first time. I called the middle of March to set up an appointment and was told it would be 6 weeks before they could get us in. I felt that was unacceptable. I said something about being understaffed & I was told yes they were. I called Forest River to see if I could take it anywhere else & they told me try Arbogast RV. I did & Josh was so helpful. He got us in in 2 weeks & is right now taking care of our needs. They are honoring our warranty. It is one thing to have great salespeople but you need to have superior customer service & Tom Raper's does not.
We are anticipating purchasing a Class C and are visiting several dealerships to see what is available. At Camping World our salesman, Jordan, was patient and listened to what we wanted. He showed us several Class C's that met most of our expectations. No high pressure. He was informative and let us take the Class C of our choice for a drive. We didn't purchase an RV today but will keep in touch with Jordan as our search continues.
Thank you for your service every one were very helpful.
Great working with this group of people. They were very kind and honest and not pushy at all. I previously wen to another camping world looking at some motorhomes and left not too happy with the service, then came and visited Richmond's and it was drastically different glad we went there and made our purchase, I would recommend anyone in the market for a trailer or motorhome to visit this place. Thanks my family really enjoys the ride.
Dealership overall is great! Sales, service and the manager took good care of us! We will definitely be back!!
Out on camping trip, had to go to their store to get surge protector. Poor selection
To Tom Raper Company,
I am a new customer of Tom Raper out of Richmond, IN. I was reluctant at first in purchasing a camper. Spending weekends in a confined area with my crazy family did not seem fun to me. However, through the persuasive ways of my wife, I decided to buy a travel trailer through you all.
Mark Casebold is the sales rep who went out of his way to help me and my family become campers. Mark was fun and energetic. He was able to solve any fears I had of campers.
Charlie from service was most helpful. This kind gentlemen took his time to explain EVERYTHING I needed to know about my camper. Charlie is the guru of campers!
There was also one other man I want to thank but can't remember his name. He was from Service and installed the brake controller on my truck. I enjoyed talking to him about coon huntin' and his daughter. Again, this person went over and beyond to answer all questions I had about hauling a camper.
Thank you for all your help!
The Jackson family is fully enjoying their 19ft. camper. Looking forward to doing business in the future.
We purchased our first NEW camper today.
After visiting MANY dealers we decided on Camping World. The deciding factor was absolutely the customer service we received. Larry Rue was knowledgeable, patient and so easy to work with. It was refreshing to deal with a friendly staff, that s hard to find these days.
Thanks again Larry.... we are SO excited.
Fondly,
Paula Hollstegge
Friendly staff, helpful staff, it was too HOT TO SHOP, took too long waiting for propane fill. And your the highest priced propane in Richmond . We are members and it still was higher
Over several months I had a positive experience working with ELI in sales. He was always very patient and I never felt pressured. Eli was forthcoming on any fees beyond the price of the unit. He was very good at returning phone calls and text messages-even on his days off. In the end, I ended up purchasing a unit that CW did not have because it was a better fit for my family. Regardless, I could not have been happier with the customer service Eli provided. Look him up!
We love camping! They have a killer selection for used.
Beware of hidden charges! We went to purchase a travel trailer listed on their website as a promotion sale at 16,999.00 Once we sat down to discuss purchase they wanted to add 600 for transportation fees, 500 for them to inspect the brand new camper and make sure everything worked. 195 for a battery, 1500 if I didn't finance through them, (their interest rate was more than twice what my bank offered me) a 895 dollar hitch, a couple other charges that I cant remember and of course tax and title fees (which we expected to pay). They will list prices on internet to get you in there but then its the typical salesman B.S. When you question them about the fees, they want to bad mouth other rv dealers about hiding those charges in the price of the camper (at least then you know what you are paying). Don't expect to pay what you think the camper is priced at. Our friends also went to purchase a camper and found one and they agreed on a 15,000 dollar price when all said and done they had over 18,000 price tag, not including the hitch and them financing through camping world. Buyer Beware
We worked with Pat who is a great salesman. He didn t pressure us in anyway. He showed us what we were interested in and helped us get a good deal on a used class A motor coach. They stayed past closing time to close the deal.
When we returned to pick up the motor coach the paperwork process was quick. We had a complete walk through from John who showed us everything on the coach and let us ask questions. They worked with our independent inspector to ensure he could complete our inspection on time. They were responsive to our requests for a new seal on our entry door. John is going to travel to us to install the new seal when it comes in.
They were having a promotional sale and we are first time coach owners. The store manager stayed past closing to help us select the necessary items. She too was not pushy about us choosing to buy or not.
I highly recommend both Pat for sales and John for a walk through. They are both very personable and honest. The store manager gave us great personal service!
I highly recommend Wade Stinson at Richmond Camping World and Brant Moffitt in the Service Center. I reached out via RVtrader and Wade coordinated everything. I drove from Northern Virginia and he did not disappoint. He went the extra mile to work with me and make sure some repairs were squared away (since it is an older unit). Wade was gracious and answered all the my questions. I felt like he was selling the RV to his neighbor. Also, Brant Moffitt in the service center was so helpful on the walk through and he is worth his weight in gold and has the patience of Job as he answered all my questions. I can't say enough good things about either of them. I would drive the 550 miles again to purchase from Wade and have Brant service my RV. Thanks to Wade Stinson and Brant Moffitt for my great experience there.
I came into to look for a major purchase, 4 people at the front desk with their heads in their phones. No one looked up, no greeting. I walked around a bit and saw salespeople in their glass cubes ... heads in their phones. On the way out I was noticed but it was too late. I'll go elsewhere
These employees bent over backwards to make our purchase a great experience! Finance, the prep team, the technicians all very professional! Best of all was Travis Powers, our sales person. They all made us feel like we are part of the RV family. We love our Rockwood and all the care we got from Camping World Of Richmond. We will be back when we trade up or pass through on a trip. Bill and Diane
Thomas Prater and Drake Baldwin both were excellent Service Writers. They got my warranty work handled without trying to milk money out of me. Nany other service writers try to do that. These guys were Fast, Friendly, Fair, and Hard working. I would recommend asking for them.
We worked with Patrick to purchase our first trailer and had a great experience. The price good and the service was better. I highly recommend buying from Patrick and Camping World - Richmond.
Can t wait for the camping season to begin!
My husband and I bought a camper from Scott Baker and was very happy with the whole process. Scott was very helpful to us as this was our first experience with purchasing a camper. Scott was training a new sales lady at the same time and worked great with her. I would recommend Scott Baker at Camping World to everyone! Can't wait for our camping season to start back up!
Although we were hesitant at first because of some reviews at other locations we had a GREAT experience working with Bruce. He was very knowledgeable. We feel we got a VERY fare price on a new camper and also our trade in. All though we have not yet needed the service department for problems they were great during inspection and immediately addrrssed any concerns we had. Would go back.
Our first trip was Great! Sharon is the best and helped us every step of the way. This was A plus service!
We recently purchased a motorhome from Camping World. Our salesperson, Scott, was very helpful showing us a variety of motorhomes. Wade, Justin, and Jim were instrumental walking us through the process of purchasing an RV. They went out of their way to ensure the entire process was as smooth as possible. Can't wait for our first trip in our RV!
We search for two months for a rear living 5th wheel! We found the salesperson Patrick to be very helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. He came up with a 5th wheel that met our demands. We further complicated the issue by, being several states away! They were eager to help us over come reservations, being distant, with pictures and allowing a independent persons viewing. Imagine this takes longer to make the sale but they were willing and pleasant through it all and in the end made us a very respectful deal. Thanks Camping World of Richmond Ind. Tom A.
Very DISSATISFIED with Camping World of Richmond. July1, this year wanted to purchase a 2004 Bounder. Was denied due to certain circumstances in cost... On Sat July 22, Camping World had Big Blowout Sale Promotion. We found a very nice travel trailer that we liked , We were trading in two Units, 1998 and 2013 Dutchman as our down payment. The 1998 Dutchman we paid $5800 to Camping World for repairs. The trade-in value was 13,000 as our down payment. We were told by Salesman AND assured by Loan Agent that this purchase would not require another Credit Check because of time frame from last inquire. Loan Agent agreed ONLY to find we had been deceived again. We now have 6 hard inquires on our Credit, which lowers our credit score dramatically. We contacted Camping World and they both DENIED doing it! We have credit letters as proof!!! We have been deceived AGAIN.. Customers BEWARE... Read comments before shopping.
Great experience! Would recommend Pat Dargie Jr. and Logan if you are in the market for a new or used RV! Josh and Zach from service answered all of our questions and were very helpful!
Everything u want for the rv is here, they even service them there. & u can get ur rv's window tinted there.
Products over priced. Do not match their own online prices. Service department does not tell you it may take several weeks to get approval for fixing manufacturing defects & you can keep & use your camper while waiting. They also prefer text messages vs phone calls.
My wife and I were introduced to Ralph McMichael and he so much reminded us of one of our sons. Kind, funny, and full of information and data for the type of camper we were interested in. As we looked at campers elsewhere, Ralph was not pushy but so very polite. As we left RV Nation and just dropped by Camping World, it was as if Ralph knew we were coming as we entered the door, there he was at 5 o'clock pm. We wanted to look at one specific camper one last time. Talked to Ralph the next day with an offer and Camping World counter offer, we purchased our new camper. We really appreciated the help and support given by Ralph and the whole Camping world team.

Went in for service, warranty work on a previous unit we purchased from CW-Richmond new in August 2017. Wade a Sales manager on duty introduced us to Salesman David ED Upchurch to answer a few questions we had. After ED Upchurch spent two hours answering all of our questions. We decided ED Upchurch was the man to work with and help us on creating a deal we couldn t refuse. Thank you to Scott Baker, Wade, Jim, Justin and ED for looking out for us. Highly Recommend stopping by and asking for David ED Upchurch as your salesman if you re looking at Buying a unit.
Nothing but issues. I honestly wish we wouldn t have bought our camper there at all. We bought a brand new 2020 Keystone Springdale Rugged Terrain. Day one the sales people up front didn t want to help us. Finally a sales person asked if we needed help, just before we headed to walk out the door. When we came back to pick up and sign paperwork, it wasn t ready to go. We were promised that the skylight we paid extra for would be installed and ready to go out the door. It wasn t, 6 hours later we finally left without our camper. A few days after it was delivered, I was getting familiar with the features of our camper when I found the cover for the sewage tank was partially broken and realized the power rail that was on the unit when purchased (and is a standard item for this camper) is missing. Not fell off but obviously removed and replaced!!! 4 weeks later and I ve left numerous messages and emails and I ve still heard nothing back. This was certainly our first and last purchase from Camping World.
Great sales people and tech people excellent place to buy a camper
Just purchased a new travel trailer and everyone at this location has been very nice and helpful. Great place!
Okay selection but the salesperson we had was a young kid I thought was tweaking. Not a great experience but he was a great promoter for Mt. Dew and Doritos.
Horrible!! We drove over an hour to look at toy haulers and couldn t find anyone to show us what was in stock. Everyone sitting at desks and playing on phones to busy to help. If I am looking for a coffee cup I will go to camping world. Two potential sales walked out the door. What was so important on the phone??
I just traded for a new StarCraft trailer, and Jordan Marowelli was excellent. I did email, phone calls, and in person, and Jordan did a very good job! If you are looking for a good deal, give Jordon a call!!!!
Buying my first camper was a little daunting but the staff at Camping World in Richmond Indiana made me feel at ease. Not once did I feel out of place. There were so many helpful hints about how to make camping enjoyable. Everyone, from the sales staff to the technicians preparing the unit friendly and helpful.
From start to finish and excellent experience.
Went to the clear the lot event. Got exactly what we were looking for. Barry Burdete, our salesman, did a first class job showing what was avaiable in the range and style we were looking for. After a little bit of haggling, we got the exact one we went ti look at for a great price!. But it didn't end there.. they went the extra mile showing us exactly how everything worked with the unit powered up. They even filled up the tires in my F250 to make sure I was safe to tow it home.. my advice, looking around where ever you want, but make this your last stop when you are ready to buy an RV! When its time for an upgrade, we will surely be back!!!
The ONLY place to buy your camper. Whether it be a simple fold down trailer or the big boy RVs, the folks here can really be TRUSTED to take care of you. I live 900 miles away up here in New England and I was still more comfortable buying from Richmond, Indiana than anywhere else. Scott Baker there really went above and beyond to provide me the HIGHEST level of customer service, support and guidance. Scott made me feel like I was in the same room with him buying my new camper even though we have never even met. My fold down arrived at my house just yesterday, exactly as ordered and as beautiful as advertised! Total and complete care provided to me by Richmond CampingWorld. They've gained in me another lifelong client!!
David and his team went above and beyond to get us into a new camper. Couldn't be any happier.
3 month update...still very pleased with my camper and the service I received. Ho.wever I'd like to offer some advice. I recieved a mailer from Travel Resorts of America, camping Worlds "3 weeks free camping " after a bit of research, I encourage people not to fall for this. It's a timeshare. If you don't spend thousands of dollars with them, your membership is worthless and you can't get out of it. Heed my warning and do not accept the "3 free weeks"
Donnie and Zach were very knowledgeable and professional and we would recommend these guys to anyone.
Want to thank Thomas Sams for the never say no attitude. When we were set back by a deal we was much higher than expected, he and Jim took the no go as a big LETS GO and worked very hard to find us a deal that was greater than we expected. We are very impressed by the team that went to work for US. Nice to see in a time where sales and dollars seem to be all that matters the Camping World Richmond, Indiana team put us first to get us our dream camper. If you are looking for a camper, get with Thomas Sams, I m sure he ll give you all the hard work and help you get what you re looking for. We are HAPPY and PROUD to be accepted into the Camping World Family.
David and Sarah Rogers
Happy Owners of a Camping World Richmond, Indiana Camper!
Fantastic experience with the sales and service team, Brian was very thorough during our walkthrough and Zack was very good with updating us through the process and expectations throughout our purchase.
They have lots of realy nice class c to pick from. The staff was verykind and helpfuf. Will go back again.
Poor customer service. Can't get help. Prices not posted on Campers
Pretty nice place, plenty of accessories to choose from. Dumping area easy to access but they don't have any working water to help you flush your tanks out...
Not straight forward with their pricing. To many added fees .
We had a great experience working with Travis on the purchase of our new Rockwood Roo travel trailer. He responded to all of our questions before and after the purchase, and even recorded a video tour of our unit since we were buying from far away (10 hours). We can t wait for all the adventures our family will have in our camper. We highly recommend buying with Travis!
Curtis Mcdonald was very helpful. He was very informative and made me feel welcome. Although we did not make a purchase today, we will definitely be back!
Terrible service. "Barry," the only guy able to show RVs, wouldn't answer his phone so he could be notified of a customer waiting. 3 sales people hanging out at the register waiting for 4pm to happen.
Camping World of Richmond is second to none. Why? Their people are top notch. I have followed Wendi Johnson in her services provided and will continue do so for life! Anytime I ve dealt with Wendi, she always exceeds expectations and sets me up with products that do the same. I feel valued in her presence and I hope she knows how appreciative I am!
Poor customer service. Drove 3 hours round trip to be ignored and never saw the unit I was scheduled to purchase. Management could have cared less.
This is my first purchase of a camper and I m very glad I didn t listen to some reviews, my experience from the start has been great! Larry drove us through to the types of campers we were interested, he was patient with me being indecisive. We purchased a rock wood roo. Pick up day went amazing as well, John walked us through our new camper and explained everything and was able to answer all the questions we had. We met Andrew, Zach and Todd, very very nice. Todd went through the warranty with us and explained things nicely. The service department so far is great! Now we are off to do financial end of things. Definitely come to the Richmond Indiana Camping World!
Fun and friendly great service good rates good trade value out of my trade sales and service
Overall Great teaming workers starting from the bottom all the way to the top! The salesmen are very helpful and the buying process is smooth and easy. Would not go buy anything from anyone else. If your looking to buy a camper or Motorhome, go to them! Thank you Camping World of Richmond Indiana.
Ron and zack did a great job completing all the work on my camper
Bought a fifth wheel at the Richmond, IN Camping World store. Travis Power was the salesman we spoke with and came to see. However, another salesman helped with a lot of our experience as well due to them being busy. Together they did an excellent job and made us feel as though it didn't matter who got the sale. They made us feel like they were a team that worked together for the customer. I would highly recommend going there.
Thomas was probably the best salesman I have worked with. My experience buying a camper was easy and pleasant. Camping World in Richmond, Indiana went above and beyond to accommodate me. They even paid for my airline ticket to fly me from Arizona to Indiana to get the perfect RV for me.
Glenn did very well with the walk through was just a lot to retain in a very very short amount of time. Barry in sales was very helpful.
Wendi is such an amazing person who truly loves what she does and is the perfect person for finding the camper or RV just right for you!
My husband and I purchased here this past weekend. We were thrilled with Mitch (our sales guy)! He was beyond helpful, even FaceTiming is while it was pouring down rain to let us see before we made the hour and a half drive to get there. Once there, everyone was cheerful, helpful, and very polite. To ice the cake, they detailed the camper and had a technician show us every feature, how everything worked and they answered any questions we had! In my opinion we could not have made a better decision than to purchase with Camping World!
Very prompt with answers for anything we asked, prompt with the very small issue fixes, John, John, and Glenn were great with information and helpful and quick to respond to our needs. Patrick Dargie was our salesman, he made this sale happen! We gave him our price range and that s what we got. These guys were upbeat and made our time relaxed and enjoyable, thanks for the great experience!
Buyer beware! If it were possible to rate this place a zero I would have.
If I could give 10 stars I would. I ve never experienced such fantastic customer service anywhere. The way Barry and the staff treated me you would have thought that I bought a way bigger and expensive RV- but my purchase was very small compared to what they have to offer- this is apparently how they treat everyone. Thank you for rolling out the red carpet for little ol me! This was the best buying experience that I ve ever had- bar none. Thank you for everything- this was definitely worth a trip from across the country and I m sure I ll be back to upgrade in the future. Wouldn t want to give my business to anyone else.
I had a great time looking at campers for my family adventures with Brooklyn Baker. She was very kind and took the time to explain things to me.
Has been an easy process thru all aspects of the looking and buying experience
Friendly sales staff, helpful without heavy pressure.
My experience was ok. Until I was sold my camper. I drove 2 hours to this place to get my family something we can enjoy together. Now I have been waiting for over 2 weeks to get a response to my questions. I still can't get a returned phone call.. I am waiting still to this day.. No ones to help and the guy who helped me and tried to talk me out of buying a pop up.. Jordan was the worst person to buy from. I wish I would have kept shopping around. But now i am stuck with this camper and the issues of a brand new camper.. Please keep shopping around.. Or do no let Jordan help you.
The employees were awesome and very helpful. Curtis did a great job of explaining everything to me. Highly recommend!!!
We worked with Brooklyn Baker. She was great to work with and helped us find exactly what we were looking for! You can tell Camping World values their customers! I will most definitely be back to the Richmond location for all my future camping needs!
We had a great experience with camping world. Our salesman Ralph McMichael was amazing to work with. We told him the layout we wanted, and the price range and he knew exactly which direction to point us in. Very honest, and knowledgeable. I would recommend anyone who is looking into a camper to visit the Richmond location and even ask for Ralph! All great things!
We recently visited
Camping World/Richmond IN to basically get an idea of what kind of camper would suit our needs.
Wendi Johnson greeted us and went above and beyond answering our questions and helping us try to narrow down what would work for our situation we were very impressed and will be back in the near future to make our purchase! Thanks again Wendi!
Wanted a camper that they ( messed up on the price ). So many emails later the price was 7899.00 an was told he was going to talk to the manager about what they could do on the camper. Didnt hear nothing so called an was on hold for 30 mins before I hung up. So now right before closing they say its sale pending. Not great business if you ask me. All I wanted was to know the right price!
We worked with Brooklyn Baker and she was absolutely amazing! She was very helpful and we were able to find exactly what we wanted. Very friendly staff and great service. I would definitely recommend Camping World.
I came in and Thomas Sams helped me find a camper. He was very kind, knowledgeable, and professional. It was an AWESOME experience. I will highly recommend Camping World and Thomas Sams to all my friends and family and more.
I traveled to Camping World to help my grandparents search for their new RV. We worked with Thomas who was knowledgeable and friendly. I would definitely recommend him. We were all happy customers!
Wendi is the best to work with! Fun and knowledgeable. You won t regret working with her.
We recently purchased a 2018 Open Range Ultralight. Our Sales Person, Travis Power was excellent in every way! Being 2 hours away he sent us a complete walkaround/walk through video prior to coming there. They Open Range fifth wheel was exactly what we were looking for and Travis went well above what you would expect a Sales Person to do in every aspect! Looking forward to all the fun adventures in our new fifth wheel! Thanks Travis!
I had a very nice salesman try to find us a camper, we couldn't make a deal but still a good experience, they do have quite a few fees that get added to the listed price so be careful of that.
I would just like to take a moment to recognize this Camping World one of your employees,Thomas Sams. He helped us get a quote for the lowest price possible but my husband and I decided to sell our house before purchasing our new home (fifth wheel). Thomas made it very easy to reconsider choosing this Camping World in Richmond Indiana when we are ready to purchase. He was very professional, kind and timely with his email responses. I save his number in my phone and will be contacting him to purchase when we are ready to do so.
Best service in the business. I ve made several good friends there.
Customer service was the worst i have experienced at a camping store. My wife and i wated for almost a week before we herd anything about are loan. I called multiple times to get a update and evertime we woukd get there voicemail. We would leave a voicemail but never get a call back. Then they lied to us about how many times they ran are credit. The only reason why we know that is because we went to another camping store and purchased a camper the same day and they could see they only ran it 1 time not 4 like we were told. I would not recommend camping world to anyone
Had a great experience purchasing a previously owned Winnebago Travato. The salesman Matt provided me outstanding support and answered all my questions. Very professional, friendly and customer focused. Scott the sales manager also got involved and we were in no time able to come up to a great deal. Looking forward to receiving my Travato and getting on the road. Good job Camping World Staff and thank you for a great and fun experience
Prices are not real. No coustmer service. I drove 2 hours to look at a camper and ready to buy till talked number and they were not realalsitic numbers. Did 2 servays of appointment that a manger each time would call me and 2 weeks later have not got a call. I do not recommend.
We flew from California to Camping World of Richmond, Indiana to purchase a used 2006 Country Coach Intrigue. They sent us Work Orders of over 27 items that they had already repaired on the coach. After 40+ phone calls, emails and text we felt comfortable to spend the money ($2000.00) to travel there to purchase the coach. When we got there most of the 27 items on the Work Orders had NOT be done even though the Work Order said the status of each item was "complete". Some of the items having to do with the water system we were unable to check because they couldn't find a hose to put water into the coach. One of the main items that they said they had fixed and didn't was a fuel leak and a coolant leak. We took a 20 mile test drive and used approx. 2 gallons of coolant. It really is upsetting that they would let us leave in the Coach and drive from Indiana to California knowing it had a coolant leak. We would have been stopping every 50 miles to refill it with coolant. Fortunately for us, we had taken our son-in-law who knew about Diesel engines and saw the leaks. We knew that there had been a water leak on one of the slide seals and we asked the staff if they could see any mold or mildew in the RV. The salesman said he had been in the coach lots of times and had never seen any. One of the first things we noticed were the mushrooms growing under the dinette and in the bedroom slide. Wasted time and money traveling there because they are dishonest. The Coach is still up for sale, who will be the next victim?
I hope I can prevent others from wasting money flying to this location to purchase a Coach. Beware if they give you a Work Order that says the items have been completed.
Patrick was a wonderful salesperson and was knowledgeable about campers. He was not pushy and allowed us time to consider all options. He was very personable and Brian did a great job showing us how everything worked. Excellent experience! Will come back!
After my post below, Pat, the General Manager reached out, via phone call to my husband and has been continuing to work with us on making things right. He is an asset to Camping World and I appreciate his honesty and integrity! He is why I have changed the rating to 5 stars.
It was not my intent to hurt Camping world, but to make others aware of the salesman, Barry! I am still not happy at all with how he lied and treated us after the the sell. Barry still gets ZERO stars!
We just bought our first, new to us, fifth wheeler from them 3 days ago and the whole experience was absolutely horrible! The salesman Barry, is very shady!!!! (AND THAT'S PUTTING IT AS NICELY AS I CAN).
Hidden fees that he didn't tell us about!
Told us financing approved, went to sign papers and were not told until then that the bank needed 2,000.00 more!
We were told that they were going to inspect it and repair anything that needed repair and clean and detail it! They didn't! They sent us out with an unsafe trailer!
Day 1, we had 2 tires blow out on it, which tore up the side and ripped off an electric wiring and part of the gas line. The battery was dead and old! When we did the walk around there was a new battery in it and spare tire that was missing afterwards. One of the storage compartment doors had an arm missing that did not when we did our walk through with them, which was done while they were still " working " on it and a window valance was loose from the wall!
The cleaning and detailing was a joke! There was dog hair everywhere, cobwebs, ceiling fan was piled with dust and dead bugs, floors were disgusting. I could go on and on...
Buyers beware!
