Very smooth process. Barry was helpful and Doug gave us a thorough overview of the rv systems. Finance was not pushy and made the process too easy. The hazard switch was still not repaired from when I initially noticed it two days earlier. A "We Owe" was prepared for service work in Bowling Green, KY (still two hours from home). Only the ignition key was initially given by leaving it in the ignition. Going back to service, Nick hustled around finding keys. At this point we discovered only the deadbolt key on the entry door functioned. After some dry silicone was applied the regular door lock could lock but not unlock. Thus another "We Owe". Most of the CH751 locks are stiff and difficult to turn and the gravity water cover was left unlocked and made a terrible noise when driving. After locking it there were no more issues. While Nick did the best he could I intend on replacing these locks. This issue delayed leaving by an hour and added more time needing to be spent setting up and getting service in Bowling Green. It is my hope a fair amount of compensation (ie. gift card) can be used to help mitigate the inconvenience to an otherwise pleasant experience. Thank you again and I wish you all well. Brett

We purchased a 2019 Open Range 3X and our salesman, Patrick Dargie was great throughout the whole process. He answered all our questions and made sure everything in the camper was exactly how we wanted it. This was the only dealer in the area that had the exact camper model with the party couch and bunks we needed. They have a huge selection of RVs and their store has a large variety of camping necessities. The service department did a walkthrough before we completed our purchase and explained how everything worked. They also provided the information for the warranty and roadside assistance that came with the purchase. In addition to all the benefits that we received with the purchase, they are storing the camper for free until we come to get it in the Spring. I would recommend this dealership if you're looking for a camper!

My salesman was Pat Dargie Jr. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions he was able to get us the deal that we were very happy with. Logan also assisted us in sales and was very helpful and patient with all of our questions. The process was very smooth and I would highly recommend Pat and Logan! We had a good experience working with Steven for our purchase. There were some things we kind of had to fight for, but they were made right before we left. I was a little bit apprehensive after all of the horror stories you hear about Camping Worlds, but the financing was very quick and painless. Everything was as we expected and there were no issues on the financing side. Everyone we interacted with was very nice and helpful. Overall, good experience. If it hadn't been for a mishap with the tires (that was remedied in the end), it would have been great.

The Camping World staff were great help and very knowledgeable. Barry was awesome he worked really hard to have everything ready for us. We drove 230 miles to pick up the travel trailer that I was looking for in 3 other states and was available there.
They were very helpful in the training on the camper. Assuming that all items were fixed, I'd rate it as a 5. I don't have a way to verify that right now.
We went to look at campers around 5 yesterday. They were supposed to be open until 6 but everything had already been locked up and the sales men didn t want to show us any. He ended up talking about him self and asked us when we could come back. We will not be coming back or purchasing a camper from here. We are very serious buyers ... you all lost a sale. You should not have wasted a hour of our time and should have told us no from the beginning!!!

Finance person kept trying to pressure us into buying protection plan. The person that did the walkthrough of how the camper worked rushed through it. I was told I was getting a free gift and when I went to get it the store worker said it's only a catalog. So rude I didn't get it. Would not go back.
Came to Camping World today to pickup my 2015 Travel Trailer. Things were not ready when we got there for us to pick it up. There seemed to be some confusion on what needed to be finished up. The Operation Manager Matt was able to get things somewhat taken care of. If not for him we would not have been able to take it home with us today. Good ending to the day.

After endless searching for the camper exactly the way we wanted, Camping World Richmond had it. Wendi and Travis went above and beyond to get us the best deal. Travis even went out of his way to get my equalizer hitch installed while we were finishing up the paper work. Best Camping world I've visited.
We were going to have some work done on our travel trailer, when he told the service person that he wished he had an A class. Sooooo, the service guy had us talk to Barry B. He showed us some used A s. We picked one out. And the bank said no. We thought oh well . Couple days later he called and said he could get the payment we wanted on a new Fleetwood. We worked things out and now we have a small class A!

Drove 1.5 hours to see an RV that the salesman told me was there. Arrived and the salesman sent us out in the lot looking and we couldn't find the RV. Found another salesman who took us by golf cart looking for the RV, found it in their shop. Come to find out previous salesman had sold it and didn't have to courtesy to call and tell me. Second time I've been there and had bad experience, won't be going back either.
We stopped here so we could shop for a used camper. Our salesman spent the whole time trying to convince us why buying a brand new camper and spending 5k+ over our budget made better financial sense because of the dealer incentives, etc, etc. The salesman seemed more interested in making his commission on a new camper than showing us what we wanted to see. I would not recommend this dealership.
So we had a bad experience with a saleman that was less then honest. He put getting the deal done over quality of service. It was to say the least very disapointing.
We should not judge this place on the actions of one employee but by the responce of the company when they found out. Pat took this dissatifaction very personel and stepped up, He is making things right and is continually working with us with compasion and understanding. I would recommend this place to others in the hopes that the saleman is not the one we got.

Terrible experience, they don't return phone calls, slide out cover broke on the way home on a brand new RV. Drove it back on three different occasions, three hour round trip each time, and is still broke. Barry Burdette, is the worst sales rep at Camping World, he lies, and will not respond to calls, texts, or voicemails, This guy promised me $35,000 on my consignment sale, after 6 months on consignment, he sold it for $20,000 and made me spend $8,000 on a roof, netting me $11,000 on the RV he origionally said he'd sell for me for $35,000. Very clever con-artist he is. DO NOT TRUST BARRY BURDETTE!!!!, HE STOLE $24,000 FROM ME!!! LAWSUIT PENDING!!!!!!!

I have had nothing short of the worse experience of my life with the companies service. They do not return calls, managers are always "out", they lost the keys to my unit, and then to top it all off they caused damage to it while it was sitting on the lot waiting to be repaired. Run far away from this company as fast as you can. Repairs will take up to 9 weeks for a simple 2 hour job. This place is awful.
Purchased va Thor Freedom Elite today the salesman Steve went beyond his duties in working with us and getting us the best deal he was both knowledgeable and friendly and genuinely figured out what was best for us ,first time owners and no pressure. At pick up Steve introduced us to Don a service technician who took his time explaining all the ins and outs of the unit and answered all my technical questions without fail he was also friendly as he spent over 2 hrs with us . The financial gentleman was also very helpful as well as the store staff who helped us get the necessity items a overall great place to do business and I highly recommend them and their services

I saw a camper online and reached out. Dave called me and asked/answered my questions. When I declined the camper, he worked to get me a better offer and I came and looked at the camper. It was inside so I didn t have to stand in the rain. They walked me thru the camper and showed me everything and with some research on my concerns, found me a solution for each and the customer service by the entire staff made it a deal I couldn t refuse and if I have to buy another one Dave and Camping World will be my first call.

Recently purchased a fifth wheel, our first RV at this Camping World. Patrick was our salesperson and did a great job. We hit a few bumps along the way but he worked through those and we are very happy with the purchase. Good folks to work with at this location.
You are being warned by this real story about the Richmond, IN Camping World. I thought I could trust Camping World. Eh!
A. Before even thinking of buying an RV, I had the salesman send me videos before and after it rained to check for water leaks and damage. Two weeks after I bought the RV for $12,000, I found a 3/4 inch deep/ damp soft spot hole in the tile under a chair that I hadn t moved yet. Am, I supposdd to be the expert in everything, or is Camping World supposed to be??
B. The day I bought the RV. The salesman gave me a wrapped water filter without the box. This simple filter or missing gasket created a massive water leak in the storage bay of my RV. The belly under my RV was very much swollen. This happened when I started doing dishes, after I spent hours de-winterized it without a filter. Eh!
C. Lack of Help and Communications: It took THREE weeks for them to fix and pay for B. and the water damage remains. The sales and service managers are not returning my calls or emails. For three weeks I had to shower elsewhere, with dirty dishes, and still have a damp hole in the floor tile that kinda stares at you, as a bigger problem than I ever imagined.
D. Does Richmond Camping world RV Expertise helping consumers making an informed good buy. I don't see any evidence from this camping world in Richnond, IN. I did try to return the rv. But they would not let me.
Sales dept is good the service department is the worst I have ever experienced. Told me they would call back in 30 minutes. And I had to call them back 2 1/2 hours later. Called them 14 times before I got tired of waiting on them so I drove up there just to have one of the service team members leave me standing looking for a replacement part by myself. I had to go back to the counter only to meet a different service man that could not help then another service man came that didn't even know where the water pump was located on a camper. Let's just say there service is awful there

No power to the units, not as knowledgeable as they should be or accommodating to show features of the camper. Units need to be cleaned prior to showing vers charging the end user for cleaning and prep. Full disclosure doesn't mean I pay for things the dealer needs to do to sell a unit .

Had our Motorhome there for months! Had to call the manager several time to get a answer, most of the time calls was not returned.
We had to tried to get the supervisor to help us with our problems, and still got no reply s from them.!
Our one month quote estimated turn out to be a 3 month ordeal...
I would never take our RV there again.
We bought a camper here. Large selection of small sized campers. We love our Winnie Drop. Conflicted on how I feel about their business practices. I bought a camper here because I knew everything would work, or I was under the impression that everything worked correctly. But when the water pump wasn't working correctly they were reluctant to fix it. They did fix it for free but reminded me I bought it as is and told me how much it would have cost (if they weren't such nice people).
Also they found financing, but you won't find out details on interest rate or how many payments until you sit down to sign the papers.
And now my loan has been sold to a credit union, so now I am a member of some credit union I've never heard of. Free of course, haha. Their fees to make payments the easy way are outragous. NOT WHAT I SIGNED UP FOR!
Everyone was very friendly and knowledgable. It mad our first buying experience easy! They have a wide array of RVs and campers to choose from, and are willing to answer all your questions to help you find the right fit.
Purchased a used RV and they were the best... They are more than an hour away but will be returning when we are ready to buy our next motorhome...both sales and service departments are excellent!! Ask for Wade, he was extremely helpful and patient.

My husband and I purchased our first travel trailer last weekend from the Richmond Indiana Camping World. We had fallen in love with a 2011 Forest River Wildwood travel trailer we saw on their website, but unfortunately it had a deal pending on it. We drove down to Camping World and met with Wade Stinson who I thought was just awesome. He was very personable and he really listened to what we wanted. He took us around to many different trailers that met the criteria we had laid out. He was very patient with us and had a lot of good information that he shared. I felt he was a very trustworthy person given the things he was telling us and I felt that we were in really good hands. We were still stuck on the Wildwood however and couldn t find anything that quite measured up. On our way out he took us to see the Wildwood - and it was just beautiful. I told him if the deal fell through I wanted him to call us immediately. It s something I felt would never happen, but I wanted to throw it out there just in case. Two days later he called and the Wildwood had indeed become available! Wade was very helpful in getting the ball rolling with our financing and we were towing it home the following Saturday.
Wade was definitely the best part of our experience. We had a really good rapport with him and I felt like he really cared about finding us the perfect fit. He was never far and he kept checking with us throughout the entire purchasing process to make sure things were going smoothly. Another person we worked with was Derrick - he did our walk through. He was very knowledgeable and took the time to listen to our questions and answered them fully. And he was very personable - just a really nice guy to work with.
We did have a couple of hiccups with the service department that were just honest mistakes. Nothing major and between Derrick and Wade they were taken care of. I really felt that they each went above and beyond to make sure that we were happy and comfortable with our purchase.
All in all it was a great experience and I would recommend the Richmond Camping World to anyone in the market for an RV or travel trailer, and I would DEFINITELY recommend Wade Stinson and Derrick. Ask for them by name, you won t be disappointed!

The service department is a let down. Delays, incomplete work, and leaving a mess when work is done.
They sold a used camper to my mom who is 56 years old as a great running nothing wrong camper,well it broke down 7 miles from the shop and they refused to do anything about it including coming to pick her up off the side of the highway and aslo trying to fight not to give the money back.

Last month my husband and I spent the whole day looking for a camper. After stopping at 5 or 6 different dealers we stopped at Camping World in Richmond, IN. They had one that looked like it was well taken care of, the size we were looking for and the salesman seemed to care. He was even able to give us a really good deal. We left our deposit for the camper and made an appointment to come back and have the new hitch and brake box put on our truck. While they were adding the 2 things to the camper the salesman would take us out and show us how to hook up and unhook the camper; how to work the slide and all the other things on the camper since we never had one like this.
A couple days later I called the dealer to see why our deposit was never taken out of our checking account. I was told they do that on Friday's.... so no big deal. The next week it still hadn't been taken out, I gave it until the end of of the week and called back to check again. This time I was told there were lot of problems with the camper .. including the slide out was broken and the motor was burnt up. BUT, I was told they have another camper that was newer, alot nice, the salesman also said it would be a better fit for us, that it had been checked out and was ready to go. Even though they wanted more for this one he was able to sell it to us for the same price and with the same deal as the first. After seeing pictures we told him we wanted it. We were told to come at the scheduled time we already had set and they would get the hitch and brake box on our truck while they were going over everything on the camper. I called the morning before we were to pick it up the next morning. Voicemails were left on the salesman's cell, his office phone and a message with the receptionist. I never got a call back until that evening before our 3 plus hour drive the next morning. I was told after we were told they went over the camper that now there were too many issues with it and would cost too much to fix.. The salesman said he didnt feel right selling it to us because we would have problems with it and wouldn't be happy. We were told before the camper has been gone over and passed inspection and now there were all these problem. He offered to continue looking fo another camper or he would give us our deposit back. We opted for the 2nd option because they had our money and we could have been looking elsewhere for a camper. One thing I don't understand was this camper was on still on their website with offer pending for a week after we were told it had all those issues.
