My family and I purchased a camper from wade and all I can say is exceptional customer service. He sent me pictures and videos of the camper before we made the 4hour drive to richmond. Once we arrived the camper was exactly like the pictures and the transaction was smooth and painless. I recommend anyone that s looking for a new or used camper buy from them. If we decide to upgrade in the future we will buy from them. Wade also deserves a raise.

I purchased a 2019 motorhome in June and since then I've had to have it in for service twice. Both times have been horrible, the worst service I've ever experienced. Would not recommend Camping World of Richmond and would recommend to Thor Motorcoach that they end their relationship with this vendor.

After this post I was contacted and my issues have been addressed.

Very friendly people from beginning to end. Love how every detail is gone over with you and in a very timely manner. Love our new camper. Anxious for summer to come so we can take the whole family with us on our adventures. I highly recommend them to anyone looking a new or used RV.

Camping world never stops impressing me ! I'm on a...

Camping world never stops impressing me ! I'm on a 17 day trip to the Grand canyon and unfortunately the landing gear on my brand new Winnebago fifth wheel went out. I pulled into their service center and told them my problem. Two guys jumped on the repair while the other guy talked to me about my camper. Everything they did made me feel comfortable and at home. They troubleshot the problem and had me up and running in no time. When you're on the road or at home and need service, I 100% recommend camping world.

My initial interaction with camping world was thro...

My initial interaction with camping world was through the intetnet and via email with Wade, who helped me understand the Class A mtotorhome i was looking at. Once i set up time to go to Richmond to walk the unit, i meet up with David Upchurch, who was my personal salesperson.
From the first steps i took on their lot, to the day i signed the papers, David was there to ensure my experience was above and beyond anything I was expecting.
When i showed back up to pick up the RV, i met with Jon, who was the service personnel who did my walk through. He ensured the unit was not only road ready but also to ensure i was comfortable with every single aspect of the RV. We found one issue as i was about to leave and David had me return the unit back to Jon to inspect and fix.
Jon was unable to get the part due to being later in the evening so the service mgr asked me to leave the RV overnight so they could property fix the issue and offered to deliver it to me almost 2hours away the next day.

On top of that, Wade followed back up to ensure i was comfortable with the RV and he went to service to see Jon and they made a tutorual video for me on a few items, since i am a first time Class A owner.

I did not expect this level of service and i WILL be going back to camping world in Richmond when i trade this in for my next upgrade.

I owe a BIG THANKS to all of the team members who helped make my experience an over the top experience.

This post has been a long time coming. My initial rating was a 1. I was asked to take that down while Camping World made things right. A very long story short... there was some lack of communication over numerous repairs that needed to be done to our new 2019 trailer. Patrick Dargie and a few others came out to our fixed campsite to evaluate all of the issues since we don t pull the trailer. Camping World has corrected all of the manufacturers defects, and went above and beyond our expectations. It s not their fault that these things are build with staples and other cheap materials.

Great customer service. What a way to turn a 1 star rating around.

I purchased a 2017 Thor motorhome from camping world Richmond. Everything went smooth. Everyone extremely friendly tells me everything's works great. I'm a very trusting soul and now I have a generator that will run but it won't power anything. I'm told it could be $500 to get it fixed. Teach me to trust people that just want a sell and not a consumer for life.

We searched many RV dealerships and in the end we chose Camping World of Richmond because they had the best camper for our budget and gave us the best customer service! We were happy to work with Wade and would recommend anyone who is looking for a great camper to go and talk with him.

Thanks for leaving us satisfied Camping World! Matt made sure that our batteries were replaced without cost to us even though Thor would not cover this under warantee. Matt attained approval to replace after they were not working only 2 weeks after our purchase of the new rig.

Pat D. was our salesperson. He did an excellent job. He stayed with us the entire time, answered all our questions, never hesitated to tell us if he was unsure of an answer and always made sure he got the answer. You could tell right away he new his stuff.
The whole team we worked with were great, from sales to getting us on the road. Very professional.
Thanks to all for taking the stress out of buying a new RV.

I want to especially thank Travis P., who was our salesman during the entire process and also Jim L., who worked with us on completing the final paperwork on the deal. I can t wait to use our camper during upcoming camping season with my family and recommend anyone who is interested in looking at camping equipment to visit Camping World.

Love the Richmond Indiana store where we purchased our new camper. Matt and Scott in service, Travis and Thomas in sales, and George our service technician all were wonderful, knowledgeable, and ready to help. Would come back here again for sure. Highly recommend!!

We just left CAMPING WORLD in Richmond, IN (4 hrs ...

We just left CAMPING WORLD in Richmond, IN (4 hrs away from our home) after spending a couple hours there, giving ourselves a guided tour, due to NONE of the multiple staff members asking us if we needed assistance or if we had questions. Like I said...there were plenty of staff standing around talking to each in the showroom, perhaps they had fall allergies and could not come outside....which all we really needed them for was to help us with the prices of the fifth wheels (since none were marked)...this is the first dealership that we have been to the trailers did not have the prices inside...so, if the staff didn't want to help customers, at least they could put prices and specs in the trailers.Can I rate this less than one star? Off to Walnut Ridge with hopefully better luck....

We bought a new 2017 44 foot Bighorn Heartland. My husband and I were told by the salesman that our warranty entailed on site service after we purchased it. Our fireplace went out, the lights quit working in the lounge area, the sewer tank is leaking causing the panels under the 5th wheel to sag, the washer during spinning shakes the pictures off the wall, etc.... Both my husband and I have called multiple times and emailed multiple times over the last 3 months. They will not return our call or respond to our emails. DON'T BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!

Really disappointed. Happy with my initial purchase of my new 2015 Cardinal. Everyone was extremely helpful until after the sale. The service department as of recently calling 3 different service personnel including the service manager with no return phone call. Was the same thing when I first purchased my camper about a year ago. No one would return my call . After 8 phone calls over 4 week period with no response and I also called the finance manager who also never called me back. I had to bug the general manager to finally get service to call me back. It seems like the same old thing , once they make the sale the customer isn't important anymore.

Thomas Sams is the guy to go to. He is easy to work with and he communicated everything well. I appreciate how hard he worked for us to get us what we wanted! We left extremely happy and will return to Camping World of Richmond to work with Thomas in the future.

Upon entering the store I was nicely greeted. However the person at the front desk had no idea where water filters were located. It is very disappointing do you have staff that are so ill in formed about some of the most basic camper Supplies. I took my filter back to the front desk to pay where I was told all the registers there had been closed because they close at 7 PM. It was 6:33. I would been told that the lady at the side register could ring me up. I waited in line and when she became available went to our register only to be told that they close at 7 o clock so now they only have one register open. They still had 24 minutes until they actually closed.

It is very apparent that the staff was inconvenienced by having the customer shopping 30 minutes before closing.

When I finally got rung up by the only open cash register I then got a hard sale on joining good Pham. I wanted to reminder the cashier that I didn t have time for that because they close at 7 o clock.

Camping world be a shamed of yourself. You are in an industry that is dyeing. Retail sales. The only reason you exist is to support people who are traveling and vacationing. Adjust your attitude

Next time I will plan ahead save money by shopping on Amazon and have a better customer experience

My wife and I decided to purchase a 2019 Forest River Cardinal Luxury. We did some foot work upfront online. However, our salesman David Upchurch helped us through the process the entire time. He remained in constant communication with us via email and phone. He was never pushy or made us feel pressure to do anything. We traveled 3hrs up to Camping World in Richmond, IN. We where running behind and showed up late right a closing. David and the team at the store stayed late to work with us. It has been a pleasant experience to work David through the buying process. He made the process as stress-free as possible. We 100% recommend this location as a dealer and David as a salesman. Thank you, David!

Very poor customer service. New camper purchased...

Very poor customer service. New camper purchased from camping world under a year old - developed roof leak, took in for service on July 9th, 2017. Had to keep calling them as they never stayed in communications with me, one month passed before being put in bay to look at in peak camping months. No offer for loaner camper or replacement. Was told could take mine and bring back after camping season. Was told August 3rd they would call me by August 7the with update. August 14the still nothing. Calls to department managers go unanswered. Will never by from camping world again. Not happy with service operations. I realize this is peak season, since I cannot camp on my weekends, but staying updated would be better than nothing.

Although it did not work out for us due to an accident to the camper, Thomas Sams did an excellent job of communicating with us during the entire process. I greatly appreciate his honesty and consistent work to give us the best camper for the money he possibly could. We were communicating 1000 miles away and he made the process easy for us to understand and we new he could be trusted. I will highly recommend Camping World services in the future due to his efforts and attitude. Thanks for giving us an opportunity at our dream of traveling in a nice and comfortable camper. We greatly appreciate it.

Beware of Camping World, do no buy from here!!! I purchased a unit 6 months ago and I already had it in the shop with no help from Camping World. They asked that I contact the manufacturer and said once the title is in my name there is nothing they can do.. Do not buy the extended warranty either its worthless with tons of loop holes. 6 Months in and I am making an insurance claim for a $5000 fix. Stay away from this company, they don't answer their phones and walk the other way when you have an issue. Way better places to purchase a camper!! Thanks for nothing Wade!!!

We called Camping World of Richmond on Father's Day Sunday after stopping at a Rest Area and the door out of our motorhome was stuck closed with us inside! They said we could camp for free at their full hookups area. Service Manager, Michael, called that evening to see if we were ok and the next morning 4 techs arrived at our door. None of them had seen this problem before but within minutes they had the door open, no thanks to the screw that had come loose and was jamming our door. Thanks to Matt, the service manager and the techs Todd and Taylor(who climbed through a window to get inside our rig) who were thorough, efficient and took care of us to the end. We can't say enough to thank them.

They tried to overcharge the agreed upon price by $2,300. I caught it in signing final papers. Besides that, they charged us $1,200 for a UV Protectant which was never applied. Couldn't get credit for that. Managers are always "Out" and do not return calls. It has been 30 days and we still haven't received a payment book for our loan through them. We still haven't received our license plates. Title group has no idea what happened, then suddenly, "Oh! We forgot to submit to the state." The temporary plates have expired. They wouldn't send new temporary plates. So I have a camper in my driveway I can't take anywhere nor can I make a payment on it! Accessories are very overpriced unless you are a Premium GoodSam member. Very very very disappointing! If you are interested in looking for a camper RUN from this place, go anywhere but here. Only positive was the sales staff inside were very nice.

Joe and Glenn at service department were also excellent to work with and resolved my brake controller problem in a very timely manner. I had a fantastic experience working with my salesman Jordan Marowelli. He was responsive over email, understood our needs and worked up as much of the process without me as possible to make my visit to the dealer quick and productive. I had first class help while I was on site at the dealer and was well taken care of. The service technicians that did my walk through on our camper were extremely knowledgeable and the hitch installation was done by a veteran with 20+ years experience. This was my third RV so I have some experience, but still learned a few things from all three staff members I worked with. I purchased a past RV 10+ years ago when the dealer was Tom Raper and I can say my experience with our new camper was just as good as it was when we dealt with Tom Raper years ago. I will be returning here for futures service/parts etc.

Bought a camper from camping world of Richmond in February. They have proven to have the worst customer service of any place I have ever delt with. If you try to actual talk to anyone in the sales, titling, or finance dept you better plan on waisting a lot of time calling and calling.. I left 6 different voicemails for 5 different people and Never got a return call from any of them.. One person that I left a message for was the General Manager and still no return call. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

We walked up to the counter and told them we might be interested in purchasing a camper. A salesman, Larry, asked us what we were interested in and promptly took us out on the lot. 60 some acres of lot! He showed us all the different layouts, price range and brands. My wife made it clear, "we're just looking today, not buying." He took his time with us with no pressure. We thought we like one brand and then saw the Keystone Springdale Mini... very nice! We decided we wanted it. Yes... Today! Hahaha! It was late in the day, but Larry asked if we wanted to proceed with the purchase and it would take awhile. We filled out the papers, came back the next day, finished up and took it home! After first being given a full walk through so we completely understood all the functions of the camper. Along with hands on training of the towing system.
AND! Sharon took a list around the store to be sure we were good to go.
This was the best buying experience one could hope for.
As far as one of the prior reviews, this is a Wal-Mart world, you have to ask for help these days.

This was my first camper buying experience. I researched online for ideas. Camping World in Richmond, Indiana had all of the campers I wanted to see in one place. I showed up hoping to have a painless process and I wasn t disappointed. Wendi Johnson walked me through each step with no pressure. As a matter of fact, it was fun! We found exactly what my boys and I wanted. A week later we picked it up. The service department added a few things I requested and Wendi was there to make sure everything went well through each step! We drove home as happy campers! Great experience with great people!

MY FRIEND PURCHASED A CAMPER THERE LAST YEAR. THE SALESMAN TOLD HIM IT WAS READY TO GO. THEY WENT OUT THE FIRST WEEKEND AND HIS KIDS GOT SICK. THE NEXT WEEKEND THEY WENT OUT, HE GOT SICK. HE LATER FOUND OUT THAT THEY NEVER HAD FLUSHED THE RV ANTIFREEZE OUT OF IT, AND CAUSED HIS FAMILY TO GET SICK. HE CALLED THE SALESMAN, AND TALKED TO THE GENERAL MGR. AND THEY LAUGHED AT HIM. SINCE THEN , HE HAS FOUND FLAWS IN THE CAMPER, AND WONT RETURN ANY OF HIS CALLS. TYPICAL CAMPING WORLD, ALL ABOUT THE SALE, BUT DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU AFTER THE SALE.

Matt Elwell, our RV Sales Associate, was professional, helpful, and walked us through all the necessary steps to have a good experience when buying our Rockwood Highwall in July 2020. We will certainly buy other RV supply and equipment from Camping World in the future. When we were ready to hook up and drive off the lot, the service department gave us a quick walk through of the basic operations of our new camper, and I do wish this operational overview would have been more thorough and complete, we are still unsure how to initiate the hot water operations on our RV, but will learn quickly, I hope ...

This place is one of the best places I have been to.I have never bought a new camper and they where the best at making me very happy in buying my first new camper.Barry was so great to work with making sure I was happy with every detail of my purchase.If I was to ever buy again it will for sure be camping world.If you need work done on your camper please go see John in service one of the best guys I have ever ment.So honest and caring about making sure he showed me everything about my camper and knowing how to use it.Any questions I had he answered and always had a smile on his face.Please try camping world when making a camper purchase.
