The Americana Conference, Resort, Spa and Waterpark Review

Spa is very zen like a d quiet despite the craziness of the waterpark area nearby.

We spend a night here at the hotel and a day at the water park. The pool water was comfortable and clean. All pools and slides have lifeguards on duty. Most areas of the pools were not too deep which are safe for small children. However you are still required to be in arms length with your kids. The hotel rooms are very spacious equipped with two queen size bed. One minor thing need to improve is the dust on and under the slide out bedside lamp table need to be cleaned regularly. Most staffs were polite, friendly and willing to help. Kids had an amazing time here at Americana Resort and Spa.

I didn't stay at the hotel but did attend a christmas party here at one of their conference halls. I swear the chicken that was served was the best I ever had. Props to the kitchen and also the Christmas setups in the front lobby were really nice. Staff seemed pretty helpful and now I am hoping to find time to actually stay at the hotel one day.

This is a great banquet venue for conventions, it is very large and lined with marble pillers. I loved the excellent five star food served by staff wearing black ties. Three was a chocolate fountain, roasts and so much more. The water park is great fun, the kids loved it and so did I. The rooms are great also. I highly recommend this place. It is a short distance to all the Falls attractions as well.

Wow just wow.... I reserved months in advance calling ahead to even ADD a day! Then when i get there what do ya know? They dont have my reservation... I missed my grandmas 90th birthday party because of it and she went on to pass away the next day. I never got to say by to grandma because of this reservation mishap. If you would like to see your grandma happy on her last day dont stay here...

Locating the resort wasn't difficult and the staff was very welcoming. The room was surprisingly bigger than we thought with two queen beds and a bunk bed as well to fit our rather large family. The waterpark was smaller than expected but was fun and safe and easily accessible.

Everything was great except the beds. They were uncomfortable.

Quite an interesting place. Quite cheaper but still nice. Waterpark is smaller then that other place. But thats ok. Had a great visit

We had a great time . The waterpark was perfect for my son's age. He's 2. And the hotel was nice. Will definitely come back again

Hotel facilities are aged and not well maintained. The cabinet hinges in my room are broken and both doors cannot be closed properly. Overnight parking costs around 23 per night which is very radiculous expensive.

Clean and well-maintained with good slides for kids under the age of 10. Expensive for what you get. Theres sometimes groupons which make it a decent price though. There are still a few minor fees at the door if you get the groupon. Only a little splash area with not-warm water with tiny slides for kids under 2, but you still pay full price for them.

No worth the price. Staff were very rude, rooms were not clean and they really don't take into consideration large families.

This place is amazing for the whole family there are deals for it on Groupon and the Jr suite rooms have 2 queen size beds a small kitchenette with a fridge and microwave and sink and 2 tvs with a seating area separate from bed room and waterpark tickets that include check in and out dates all under $200 with parking! That includes 2 adults and 2 children! Also for same price instead of seating area you can get bunk beds and for an extra cost per person more waterpark tickets! Such a great deal!

Stayed in a suite. Kids loved the bunk beds. Had a blast in the water park. 3 kids 2,4, and 6. Was plenty to keep them all interested.

Stayed in room suit 315 internet was really bad. Devices kept disconnecting. Black ants were found crawling on the floor

Okay for the price. Felt safe. Room was clean just bring your own washroom supplies. They don't provide soap, shampoo or any of that stuff. What they supply is in those public washroom dispenser and is crap.

The room was large. My son (7) had a blast. He loved swimming and the little play area. It is a smaller waterpark, but fun for kids. He enjoys the arcade. It's nice that you don't need to leave to go to Boston Pizza. Dinner there was great. I was nervous with some reviews about noise, but it was quiet and we slept well around 9pm.

Very rude agent, forced me to buy a pass for a 1 year old child even when she was not getting into the park. Besides, the couple that checked in before us wasn't forced to buy one for theirs and both were the same age. Skin color or race profiling here?
Over the phone they told me the parking was included on the reservation and when there, they charge me $23+taxes a day for parking.
They offer you a $25 spa discount knowingly they are over booked. The person at the spa told us that they are most of the time unable to accept those boucher's because they don't have time for same walk-ins or same day appointments, if they know that, why do they offer it? Scam?
The worst... I've tried to contact them to try to get an explanation about all this. They NEVER replied. The contact section on their website doesn't work and Groupon reviews got no answer to this.
It is a nice place but there is bad people there, I won't recommend anybody to go there. There are a few options in Niagara where you can spend a nice stay whitout dealing with these kind of people.

It was clean and there was plenty of staff to ensure safety. My issue with Americana is that the entry fee is quite expensive per person and the food is quite costly as well for not so great quality. Americana promotes the same agenda as many other like organizations: once you enter, they have a "no outside food" policy which means you are bound to extraordinary costs for food and once you've paid $170 for entry (four kids), who has money left over for food. We ended up buying a couple of pizzas which were $20 a piece and then drinks for us and the kids so the total bill there was another $60ish. On top of that, we had to purchase more drinks because the facility is quite hot. For a family of four one would need to budget approximately $300 as long as you only need one meal inside. Aside from the fact that it's not affordable, the main pool was closed for quite a while as staff had to clean puke out of the pool. While not Americana's fault, I paid a lot for entry and the lost time has a cost to me. For the cost I'd expect a larger facility with more diverse activities. Bathrooms could be tidier as well (while they clean hourly, they may want to increase frequency of cleaning).

Was fun booked through booking.com seems the hotel and 3rd party booking service do not communicate well as I asked for early and late check-out recieved email that the hotel approved both. When it came to regular checkout time I was contacted by the front desk I needed to check-out I proceeded to show them the confirmation email of the approved requested checkout time and they claimed they had not approved it.

The girl at the front desk was rude however the manager I spoke with was extremely nice personable and understanding she went ahead and allowed the late check-out.

Also I spoke with her prior to checking in and she upgraded our room at no extra charge without even requesting it so would say the manager of this hotel is great and would stay again based on her great service alone.

Rooms were nice clean and kids had a good time

I don t think you would go out and buy a tread mill . I will call next time before I stay to see if you bought one

Kids had a blast, and everyone was very friendly. Waterpark got a bit boring the 2nd day though. Great for younger kids. I heard they are expanding, hope that they build on the Waterpark and add more slides!

Waterpark is a blast. Great for the kids. WiFi is terrible IMO. But I'm a WiFi guru so I'm hard to impress. Staff is great and typically knowledgeable in all areas. Rooms are nice and comfortable.

The waterpark itself was great for the kids, they enjoyed themselves.

The Americana staff have been very accommodating to our rowdy group and am sorry on their behalf. Thank you for putting up with us!

Rooms smelled like smoke! No accommodations! No view at all! The "waterpark" is a sham..theres 2 slides lol what a joke of a place! And they refused to give us milk for our infant...never again! Save your money and go somewhere else!

We have had an amazing stay. Our room was very clean and spacious. The water park was great fun as well.

Service was great, rooms we're nice Totally recommend bringing the family!

The hotel manager was great fixed our problem with our room himself

Our first time visiting and overall it was a great night at America. Our shower must of had a leak we didn't know about and we did get a visit from maintenance at like 10pmthat they needed to fix our bathtub. It took like 10 minutes, it wasnt a big deal. Overall the room and hotel was clean. As for the water park, even on March break it wasn't super busy which is great.

Some issues I noticed over the two days was for some reason in the water I occasionally saw pieces of brown paper towel, who is bringing brown paper towel into the water, seriously? Also, I noticed the overall supervision to be less then expected on slides/areas. I didn't see any kids getting measured for height, there was no supervision on the smaller kids area and I saw bigger kids that were jumping lines and going down slides not waiting for others to clear.

Overall a good experience and I would probably return.

Rooms are nice and clean, kind staff and eautiful facilities.

Great place overall. Only complaint is the chlorine level is way too high for my liking. I know the staff says it's "normal" but it burned my eyes and it wasn't only me. Others complained about it too. Other than that it's a great place to stay/play. Thry have a mini arcade - typical arcade games. Restaurant attached to the hotel so you don't have to leave to eat. Hotel room was clean. Staff were friendly and waterpark water was warm which helped in the winter. I'd definitely recommend and go back again.

Good for a family, nice pool for the kids and great jakuzi for parents , have a Boston pizza but no other activities though people are very friendly

Kids had fun but the facility isn't maintained. We didn't get the room we specifically called prior to confirm. Parts of the water park didn't work. It's was too crowded. The buffet if you can call four hot items a buffet was sub par. My eggs were disgusting my wife had a hair in here eggs. It was cheap and you get what you pay for. I wouldn't go back.

The room was great and the pool has a nice variety of things to do. Bring moisturizing lotion. The chlorine levels are very high and your skin drys out severely.

Average compared to price and the park is small and has only few slides and pools

Good place for little ones. Food like anywhere is priced like it's made of gold but that's expected. Nice little arcade as well.

Nice, clean rooms, friendly staff, fun for the whole family, centrally located and minutes from the Falls. Food is good but pricey.

The water park is fun for kids under 10. Water is extremely chlorinated though. No free coffee in the lobby in the mornings. 1 hr later check out would not be accommodated on a Sunday.

Awesome water park for elementary school aged kids; at least on a Friday afternoon it wasn't too crowded.

Concept is great, execution is disappointing. They use high schoolers to work there.. super unhappy, really unhelpful, miserable kids. About 1 in 3 games weren't working properly and when I told the girl at the counter she literally just shrugged at me. Worst of all.. the water and the air temperature is FREEZING. My kids didnt last 20 minutes in the waterpark because they were shaking so bad from the cold. Really disappointing experience and won't be back because of it.

Because first to be a resort, the attention to the public srtas did not know how to cope with tourists, he does not speak English, and also those who speak is to say unprofessional, second when my friend registered, they withheld 230 Canadian dollars from their card, and they did not They return until today from date 21, being Canadian, they do not explain from the beginning and advise that they leave in cash to avoid these withholdings, the same thing happened to me confused between my friend and mine payments and the card deposit, I do not recommend that you leave your deposit on card leave in cash, at any hotel they had asked me for it but in this one they ask for it, I am also waiting for the return of my card money from date 21 I do not think they would be ripped off would be the last! !!, second they ask for another monetary guarantee for towels to enter the pools, and you have to wait for your money back too, they are very distrustful it was an unfortunate stay, the pool I do not recommend it for Delicate skins have enough but, quite chlorine, so much so that it never happened to me, I bleach my swimsuit and my husband went out with itching advisable to shower immediately and drink a lot of water, I hope they improve and update in these aspects, train their employees. please I ask you to return my money on my card that until now my bank of Spain has no knowledge thanks

Waterpark is awesome for younger children. Room was ok, a bit dated but we were just there to sleep. Staff that we had any interaction with were friendly, amazing and seemed to be working hard.

I enjoyed their watermarks a ton and I'm a little disappointed that the water wasn't too deep. The location was a little odd because there were kinda a bunch of weird motels nearby. Room service was good but the pillows and blankets were uncomfortable

Kids had a great time. Not a big park but the staff is so friendly and great. Food at the snack bar is pretty good too. There's a gym, a spa, and the room is really nice and very clean! Definitely recommend it.
