Taylor Made Realty Review

The place is absolutely beautiful! It workout out very well for what we needed it for. The bedrooms and all rooms for that matter were a great size. And the view is amazing! The only downfall that we found with the place was the appliances. The stove was not in the best condition. It took us about 2 hours to cook breakfast. And when we ran the dishwasher, it didn't clean the dishes at all so we ended up washing them all by hand. That is the only thing stopping me from giving 5 stars. Other then that, I have to say the place was amazing and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the deep creek area! I would love to return in the near future.

We love booking our rentals through Taylor-Made. They are wonderful to work with. We had a slight problem with the washing machine in our rental. When I spoke to Taylor-Made I was told that somebody would be out shortly. We were told that we did not have to stay at the home but were encouraged to go about our day and not change our plans. Since the key code is provided ahead of time you don't have check in at their office but can go right to the rental. How convenient!!! We will continue to use Taylor-Made in the future!

TaylorMade Vacations is the best. We have been using them for years and will continue to do so. They have a wide selection of properties and white glove service.

There was plenty of space and the place was clean and kept up. No complaints at all. The people reached out to see how our stay was and I thought that was awesome. The best vacation of my lifetime! When they gave this vacation rental home the name of "Heavenly Grove" - they nailed it! It is all and more you could hope for! This home is well stocked with everything, and if you need anything, you just give them a call and they are there before you know it. We had a little problem with the upper bedrooms cooling - we made the call, and before we knew it, there was the maintenance man - he fixed the problem and everything was good. The beds are all very comfortable - the home was spotless when we arrived. Tastefully decorated - good lighting - and the downstairs game room is awesome. We have rented many rental vacation homes across the nation, but this one tops them all. If you decide to vacation here, I promise you won't be disappointed. For our group of 11, it was perfect! Our ages ranged from 14 to 76 years old. Everyone had plenty of privacy - it was all that we hoped it would be. We enjoyed the wall in the kitchen that was painted with blackboard paint. Here's a picture of the mark we left. Enjoy!

I would highly recommend Taylor-Made Deep Creek Vacations and Sales. They are spot on with property descriptions. The property descriptions and photos are exactly what you get. The ease of online reservations is excellent. The entire process is easy to understand and easy to navigate. If you need assistance, a simple phone call will get you a customer service representative. They will be happy to assist you with your reservation and all planned activities. Kudos to Taylor-Made. They made our trip a great and pleasurable experience!

My family and I had a great experience with this company and our rental home. The house was brand new, beautifully decorated, clean and had everything we needed. The rental process itself was super easy and didn't have any issues. We were able to get into the house with a security code and leave without ever having to stop at a rental agency. Great experience and would definitely rent from them again!

Loved staying with Taylor-Made. The house was perfect, contactless check in-check out was great. This company does well. We will be back for sure.

The house was beautiful! Plenty of room and well kept. We took advantage of the community fire pit and hot tub.

La Dolce Vita worked well for 8 adults in early June 2018. BUT, when we checked in, it was clear that the photographs of the house and property posted on the Taylor-Made website are old and should be updated. At least 2 large shade trees flanking the entrance to the dock and shown on the T-M website are GONE. Why? Also, the deck and lounge chairs need to be power washed. The wooden skirt around the hot tub is falling apart and looks bad. Leaky faucets and slow draining sinks should also be fixed. The basement needs a large dehumidifier to make the space down there comfortable to hang out in. The extreme dampness in the basement warped the bottom of the foosball table, an advertised amenity, and it was not useable. The house and property need some TLC to get it back to what I'm sure it once was.

Amending my review based on a recent experience. Apparently when you make a reservation you have to guess how much it is and how to pay. No emailed invoice - no payment instructions. I added insurance so I knew the amount would be different from the original quote. Weeks later I got - after multiple requests - an invoice - still no payment instructions - from renting before they would send a link with payment options. Unknown to me they changed this and now you have to call - fine - yet sending a invoice seems like a reasonable pre-requisite. And the invoice I finally got is not itemized - just a dollar amount. No excuse for this with the technology available.
Prior review - Booked through Taylor Made many times - always a great experience. Houses are clean and always as represented on the site. Check in and check out is a breeze. Customer service is friendly and excellent. Highly recommended.

Heart & Souls was a perfect house! It was so roomy and comfy. We loved it! And it was decorated for Christmas which was such a beautiful surprise! I would recommend anyone to choose this beautiful home!

I have stayed at Deep Creek every year for the last 15 years. This was my first time staying at a Taylor- Made house. It was the best experience we have ever had. Best house, best people to deal with. If you are frustrated and tired of dealing with Long and Foster, you have to try them. Way better experience!!

I am excited to write a review. Mainly because I depend on them myself for all my trips. Well here I go:

Bad:
The oven did not work during our entire stay. We arrived at Noon due to an early check-in I paid for which was great. However, I received a call at 3:00 stating "not to use the oven because its putting off an excessive amount of carbon monoxide" which was alarming!!! Especially since we had already used the oven to make calamari at 1:00 pm. If I had known prior to our arrival, we could have prevented a possible death. I really could/should make a HUGE deal over that poor judgement in Management to call us so late but I was more thankful that no one passed out.
Secondly, the fire alarm went off three time while we where there. Once while we were outside in the jacuzzi (Weird), second time my friend was in the shower (weird), third time was in the middle of the night (scary weird). Mind you there was NO FIRE!!!!!
(Update-We were credited $200 back by the Customer Service Manager due to our troubles. Perhaps they were trying to avoid a lawsuit...Your guess is a good as mine).

Good:
The check-in process was easy. The home was very clean. The water pressure was fabulous. The televisions all had Netflix, cable, and movie channels. The beds are beyond comfortable. The jacuzzi was new. The outside deck with the fireplace had a television too, which was a surprise. Property Management brought us a toaster oven to cook our food, however, with 6 girls it was a challenge, but the thought was appreciated. I loved the mini fridge on each floor of the home because we could separate our beverages. The home is overall gorgeous!!!! I would book again, once I figured out if the oven works and the home is safe from Carbon Monoxide.

House we stayed in for 2nd year is nice but has issues. The basement is always 60 degrees. Even though you have a heater it still is cold. Hot tub stayed at 94 degrees temperature and barely no jets. The ice machine on the refrigerator doesn't work. the kitchen was dirty but I cleaned it myself. There should be hand soap in all 3 bathrooms and toliet paper too instead of having to bring your own. I come down there every year for the past 6 years and don't rent from anyone else but after this year that may change. Also atleast 6 chairs at the table in the kitchen

Stay at Almost Paradise -

Too many issues to list. I ll start from the exterior. The parking - good size but drainage is an issue especially located where rain is almost inevitable. Keeping with drainage issue, water rushes down the side of the property leaving debris all over the steps/walkway out back to lake. Perforated pipe with a sleeve and some 3/4 inch crushed stone would solve all this. Maybe $300 in supplies and I wouldn t be stepping into ankle high puddles when I exit my vehicle.The dock and porch look like they haven t been cared to in years. No safety issue just very unsightly with how worn they are with the paint chipping. The grass needed to be mowed before we got there and still wasn t mowed the entire week we were there, easily shin high in areas. The gutters were clogged. Mentioned it to maintenance man who was on sight checking on a potential leak inside. He cleared the bottom gutter, but left the top clogged so it was a rainfall almost everyday right at the beginning of the walkway leading to the front door. My assumption was that he only had an 8ft ladder with him and he would be returning with a larger ladder to clear the top, but never did. Not exactly sure what the $500 cleaning fee is for.. pieces from board games left underneath the couches from previous occupants. I returned them to their respective boxes in the closet, you re welcome. The hot pads were disgusting, there were dog hairs and human hairs on the pillows and in the sheets. I wouldn t call the place dirty, but it wasn t spotless other reviewers previously have listed, dust in some corners of walls and other debris on the floor. Not dirt but just pieces of outside, some pine needles and other things for instance. There was a pot that had what looked like pasta residue in it which had now begun to grow mold. Bugs in the bedding of one day of one of the main floor bedrooms, the same bedroom that has the large water stain on the ceiling. These bugs were in the bed the day of our arrival. The stain can actually be seen in one of the pictures on your listing right by the fan blade, though it appears to be a shadow in the photograph. The beds themselves the mattresses have to be +10 years just by the wear, creaking, and physical appearance. Extremely uncomfortable. I could understand if this were years ago when mattresses cost an arm and a leg, but these days you can get a quality, comfortable mattress a few hundred dollars. Water pressure in upstairs bathroom shower head was very poor. This was corrected in a timely manner when brought to their attention. A stairway off the porch down to the backyard would also make way too much sense. Walking down the sloped side of the house with no railing or steps was interesting with a 3 month and 18 month old. Also as mentioned before in reviews the trees outback are in dire need of an arborist. The felt on the pool table is torn and beat up. Not a deal breaker by any means, just pointing out the lack of care in this property as a whole. Also I arrived after the majority of my party and was advised I needed to stop by the office and get a welcome bag upon arrival. Thinking there would be more to it, I went down to the office the day after my arrival and got the bag. It was as literal as can be, literally just a bag. No maps, flyers, coupons for local places or partnerships. Just a bag with their logo on the side for advertising.

The good - the location. Close to many places - places to eat, shop, convenience store, and marina. Also I liked the location on the lake itself. Tucked back away from the main lake kept the water nice and calm.

Management of the property in regards to upkeep was poor. No issues taking my payment though.

We rented Morningside Lodge for the weekend and it was an amazing experience! The house was immaculate, the views of the lake were dreamy and the place felt like home...only with more amenities. The staff was professional and followed up with us after checkout to make sure everything was okay. We will definitely be going back. I highly recommend this rental!

Piney Bear Cabin

I am writing this now, mid way in my vacation hoping it will get some response from the management company/ homeowner. This was a vacation adjustment due to COVID and therefore a more planned vacation for us to happily self isolate and avoid people. We cooked meals before coming and were prepared to just enjoy the house, woods, lake and quiet. Sadly the house has a broken oven ( so much for all my planned ahead meals), broken dishwasher, broken garbage disposal, broken window( will not close). All of these should have been fixed and ready for new guests. I paid over 300$ a day for this?
We are on our 3rd visit from repairman ( WE DID NOT WANT ANYONE IN THE HOME, was the plan). Also I had to tell the repqirman to mask up as he was coming in without one, even then his nose was out. Not only were things not functioning but the cob webs are everywhere, so much for the COVID deep cleaning they told us about.
I am still waiting for ......a oven replacement? A repair part for the oven?......Honestly I am thinking about leaving early. I can isolate better at home.

This was our first visit to Deep Creek and while there were many choices when renting a lake home we certainly made the right choice with Taylor-Made rentals. The check in and check out procedures where app based and extremely easy. The few times we did reach out by phone they were very responsive and helpful. During these Cocid-19 times there procedures made us feel very safe and not only would we recommend them to our friends and family we will be using Taylor-Made for our next trip to Deep Creek.

WOW! What a great trip! Our family just spent a long weekend at a Taylor Made Deep Creek vacation rental. We stayed at the house called "All About the View" and it was incredible. The views from this house are superb. The pictures don't do it justice...it must be seen in person. The staff at Taylor Made Deep Creek Vacation Rentals are professional and very helpful. Everything you need is provided and their properties are top notch! The check-in and check-out process is extremely easy. Kudos to the cleaning staff....the house was immaculate! I would highly recommend Taylor Made Deep Creek to anyone planning on a trip to the area. Although we live at the beach, we are already planning our 2015 Thanksgiving vacation in Deep Creek! Thank you for a great time!

Above It All is an amazing house! This was our second stay at this home and I would highly recommend it....we love everything about this house. The mountain view is breath taking, the house had every amenity you could possibly need, privacy, large firepit in the back yard, the large covered deck with a fireplace, comfortable beds and the house was very clean. If you are looking for the perfect house to stay in at Deep Creek Lake....this is the one! I have rented from many vacation rental places in Deep Creek Lake but Taylor Made is by far the best!

Scam. We picked a house based on the amenities and the way the bedrooms were organized. The DAY AFTER they took our final payment, I get an email that they have decided to remove the pool table, and remove beds and change them with one bed only. These were the two reasons why we rented the house. They couldn't have waited until after the summer season to change the house? I reached out, and had zero response. They don't care about the renters, they only want your money. Horrible experience

This place was beautiful. The cabins were gorgeous and I did enjoy them. I also had a great time with the excursions that we had already booked for the week/weekend. I specifically came to this location for a family reunion and somewhere along the way the lines of communication went awry so it made for a disappointing event with my family. I would like to believe that if Taylor_made knew that the 4 cabins being booked were for a family reunion that they would have made sure that all of the cabins were close together. Two of them were- the other two were 5-10 minutes down the road so they weren't even in walking distance. Which in the end made everything more difficult because you are only allowed 5 cars in the driveway- which made it difficult for us all to visit one another. Understand- that the person who was in charge of organizing the event did not read the "fine print" , but once we were made aware and spoke to the front office - I guess one would have thought that they would have been more accommodating and understood the position that we were in. They were not. Flat NO, no if's, and's, or but's- so that was a bit disappointing. Again, the blame is on the person who organized on our behalf, but it would have been nice if they would have been a bit more understanding. Therefore, we literally had to carpool loads of people in on the day of the family reunion cookout to have them come and get their food and then leave... again, yes, person who organized ..dropped the ball- but seeing that it was a misunderstanding I would have thought Taylor-Made would have been like a bit more understanding - especially considering we had such a large group and rented 4 cabins. I just felt like every turn or suggestion that we tried to make , come up with was just returned with a NO , NO, NO. There wasn't any compromising. So I guess if someone is reading this review and contemplating going here make sure you do the following:

1. If you need more than one cabin - state that so your cabins are close together
2. If it's for an event - ie; family reunion, trip with friends, etc - state that so in case you are having a cookout of sorts and their is a huge lawn behind your cabin with a fire pit- can you use that space? What are your options? Can you visit the other cabins where your other family or friends are going to be at?
3. Let them know how many cars are possibly arriving- not everyone is sitting in the same car - so 5+ might be needed- we were told additional cars would be towed.

These are just some things to think about. Like I mentioned the person who organized our reunion did drop the ball, many times over. However, I just wished Taylor-Made would have been a bit more understanding in regards to our situation and they were not. Customer Service goes a long way and this was this family's first time trying something like this- so naturally there were many bumps in the road. It was just disappointing that Taylor-Made didn't want to even bend a little bit. Nevertheless, we will not be back and maybe that is for the best.

I wish I could give 0 stars. Alas, I cannot so I am giving a 1 star review. That said, I was appalled by the level of unprofessionalism that Taylor-Made Deep Creek Vacations & Sales showed towards the caterers, customers, and renters. I was a guest at a property which was advertised as a wedding venue. It was a beautiful home. That was about the only thing that made this experience bearable. The manager actually showed up on the day of the event. They claimed to be checking on the property and were overly intrusive. They nearly ruined our event. I would highly recommend that you avoid this rental agency. I urge you to NOT rent a property through this company if you want to enjoy your vacation. Stay away!

Our stay at Wright off the lake was great for 5 Adults and 3 kids under 7. Kids had a blast and parents were able to relax some. House was bigger than expected looking at the pictures. Everyone was comfortable. House was well furnished with most things you would need (dishes, linens, cooking things, and BBQ). I'd recommend bringing extra towels if you are going to use the hottub.

We stayed at Mountainlair which was great. We though5 the location was good as we were only 5 minutes from the lake but felt like we were in the wilderness. The house had a few m8nor issues throughout the course of the week, but houses do that. Taylor Madewas always very responsive and quick to send someone to remedy any situation that arose. All in all a great week stay with plenty of room for our 11 people. We will definitely go back to the area and rent with Taylor Made again. May get a house on the lake next time, just to change it up.

I love this place when I got there and stayed there for 3 days it was so much fun

Great property. My family enjoyed our stay in this fantastic property. Only issue which was large at the time was checking in. I was given a code for the lockbox that was incorrect. It was cold and getting dark, so standing there Thanksgiving evening was concerning. Luckly, my cell service was working and after a couple failed tries. I found someone to answer in their maintenance department. They were able to provide a new number that opened the lockbox, providing us with a door key. This should never happen, especially on a Holiday when the office is closed. Otherwise the stay was amazing and will likely be our rental for our next Thanksgiving family gathering.

Our third trip to Deep Creek, our second house with Taylor-Made and one horrible memory taken back to Ohio. Little or no maintenance on this house in years. Images and descriptions on the Taylor-Made website made one believe all was well. It was not!

SAFETY HAZARDS
1. Railroad tie steps from the house to the water s edge (nearly every step was uneven and a trip hazard with some almost 6" deep, rotted wood on one tread that fell completely off, gaps between the stone platforms and wood treads, and lights for these steps were broken and scattered everywhere and not operational)
2. Steps from the water s edge to the dock (top step was broken)
3. Condition of the dock (loose boards in several locations and no boat cleats)

SECURITY ISSUE
4. Sliding glass door on the lower level (broken door handle and lock not operational)

MAINTENANCE/UPKEEP
5. Vent cover not secure in kitchen area
6. Canned light fixture hanging out of ceiling in master bedroom
7. TVs not connected to cable boxes and only two working remotes for four TVs and several of the remotes did not have any batteries
8. Rips in dining room table chairs and screws sticking out of sides
9. Nails sticking out of siding on upper deck
10. Outside furniture was covered in dirt/moss and half of the chairs were broken and not usable
11. Debris and moss filled the gutters on the upper deck causing the areas below them to be unusable
12. Hot tub cover ripped and torn and lock not operational (tub was filled with dirt and debris)
13. No foo s balls provided for the foo s ball table (I had to purchase new ones)

Taylor-Made management does not like to accept any wrong doing. Never their fault. I have already filed a complaint with the Maryland State Attorney's office and will pursue more legal recourse.

Strongly advise others to avoid this company!

PS: Pics where you see new pieces of wood were installed as a band-aid after my complaints.

I stayed at Duck Cove-Wisp. I wrote Taylor-Made and also posted a review which funny enough has not made it to their site under the Duck Cove listing. I guess they only list the positive ones out there....interesting.

The septic gave out on us which caused a mess in the basement and a disgusting smell that nobody came back to help out with. I haven't heard from anyone since so hope it was addressed before the next people come in. Although the location of Duck Cove was great I would never rent here again. Please see notes about sleep total and fireplace, this should be updated on your site.

Pros- Location is within walking distance to Wisp and a reasonable price. Taylor-Made had excellent customer service prior to my trip. They were always quick to get back to me and very helpful if I had any questions (with one exception below). On Saturday evening during out stay around 10pm we noticed a very foul smell in the basement, lucky me I had my room down there. It smelled like something was wrong with the septic and upon looking in the tub it was confirmed. There was leaking coming from the toilet and all the drainage was going into the tub or on the floor. TM had someone out there within 30 mins (the public side) to fix the problem.

Cons- This does not sleep 16 it sleeps 14 and only had ONE pullout not two. No fireplace even though it is shown in the pictures and description. House is VERY outdated but I guess you get what you pay for since the location was good and price was reasonable. As I mentioned above the septic backed up and they came out to fix it. A guy from Taylor-Made came out intially and said he would return to clean up/spray/disinfect when the public side of it was done. He never came back and we slept next to this nasty smell ALL night. Was disappointed in that aspect of the service and we never had anyone follow up with us about it. Showers have terrible pressure and shower heads barely work. Just beware, you get what you pay for and the septic may back up and you are left to clean it up!

I didn't actually get to stay in the house i had reserved through Taylor Made due to having to cancel because of a sick parent. They were responsive when I needed to cancel and gave me the information to file a claim with the travel insurance company. Getting that claim filed and paid has not been easy, but I finally reached out to Taylor Made and they were very helpful and made things right.

We spent a long weekend at Snow Place Like Home. What a wonderful townhouse! It is nicely updated and well equipped and has an excellent hot tub. The views of the fall leaves from halfway up the mountain were spectacular. The process of renting from Taylor Made was easy, and they were always responsive when I had to call with a question. Love the app and keyless entry. It's nice to not have to go pick up keys somewhere when arriving. We are already looking forward to our next trip back to Deep Creek!

Spent NYE weekend with the family. Reserved back in July. Beautiful house but a little disappointed in the upkeep of the house. So many things didn't work. Shelving in fridge was broke, all the food fell, recliners in main living room - broke. Ice makers didn't work. This is just a few things we noticed, as their were plenty more issues. Not anything that would ruin the trip, but i would think for the price that we paid for 3 nights, things would be a little nicer. Not sure I'll stay again with Taylor Made. Again a beautiful home in a very nice spot - but the maintenance is lacking for sure.

Only reason this isn t a 5/5 is after 5 stays with this rental company we had a booking need changed due to the house we rented having maintenance issues just before our scheduled visit. The rental company alerted us to the issue which we completely understood but then struggled to find us an alternate options for our stay. They had nothing of equal value (size and location) so instead of moving us upward in accommodations they attempted to move us downward. Smaller place, less bedrooms etc. we were traveling with multiple families so this wasn t going to work. When I pointed out that detail they said well we have bigger places but you ll have to pay more I felt that was a miss on this companies part. Better service would have been to upgrade us for the inconvenience and have the insurance pay the difference in price since our challenge was by fault of a piping emergency. We ended up paying more and staying at a lovely house but this resulted in the 4. Little details. The price difference for what its worth was $340. Hard to imagine that could not have been comped to compensate us for our inconvenience... so 4/5 it is.

Stay Away from them!! Very very unprofessional! They called us after our stay and described how we did not put towels back where they should be since that is in the contract! Their hot tub was not working and they offered us credit before the stay but then ended up charging us anyways since the kids got in there since it was open and they had someone spying over our stay. They called us back to basically get their hot tub refund back and claimed that we damaged a table, MOVED CHAIRS (YES, you are not supposed to move their furniture) and that we broke their pool table stick (which was broken when we arrived)...These are NOT THE SIGNS OF A PROFESSIONAL BUSINESS and we had a very very bitter experience and it left a sour taste in our mouth at the end of our stay. Their broken lights and tools to fix property and christmas lights were all left in kitchen and closets and then they talk about how they expect the property to be left!! They have broken silly tripod sitting in the living room, all kinds of broken tv stands laying in property as if it is someone's private home. IF you are RENTING home, PLEASE expect some normal wear and tear and YES, your cleaning crew DOES need to clean the property for next stay!! STAY AWAY!!!

This house was amazing! Clean and spaciouc, great amenities, and a fantastic view of the lake. Our group really enjoyed being there. We were a lot of people but the house never felt crowded. I would recommend this house to my friends!

Our third stay at Crystal Lake and you cannot beat the location or space for multiple families. Well-apportioned kitchen, very clean esp. considering it's dog-friendly. Please improve dock access to add stairs and handrails for safety, screens needed in upper floor bedrooms. Great getaway!

We had a wonderful time and the house was great! My only complaint was that one of the bunk beds appeared to have possibly not had the linens changed. They had a moldy smell and felt sandy. Otherwise it was a great experience and we would definitely stay there again!

My family very much enjoyed our stay at Starry Nights. The house is wonderful with spectacular views from the deck! The fire pit and hot tub (warm pool according to my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter) made for a wonderful end to a busy day. There is plenty of room for 12 and the rooms are spacious! The pool table and checker/backgammon table were great fun! We highly recommend Starry Nights!

They have the most and best rentals in Deep Creek. Prices are very competitive.

GETTING READY TO RENT A VACATION HOME IN DEEP CREEK FOR A FAMILY REUNION I CAN SAY WE HAVE USED TAYLOR MADE BEFORE AND HAD MANY PROBLEMS WITH THE HOME CLEANLINESS AND OFFICE WILLINGNESS TO AMEND PROBLEMS. IT HAS BEEN SEVERAL YEARS AND WAS HOPING THINGS WERE BETTER BECAUSE THEY HAVE A LARGE CHOICE OF RENTALS BUT AFTER READING THE RECENT REVIEWS I CAN SEE I WILL BE GOING WITH ANOTHER AGENCY. PEOPLE DO READ THESE REVIEWS AND LOOK TO SEE HOW PROBLEMS ARE TAKING CARE OF.

Rented a house in Tara lane this season. The house is beautiful and clean just like in the pictures.
I needed to print some papers for my work while staying there. I went to the office to ask for help. Kayla and Tatiana were so nice to help me print them out. Everyone at the office was nice and helpful.

We held our 1st Cousins Weekend in Deep Creek this past weekend September 11 - 13th. We rented three properties from Taylor Made. They were St Bart s Retreat, Majestic View, and FairWinds. The accommodations were excellent. We enjoyed the spacious accommodations as we cooked together, played games, chat with each other. The 1st night many of us enjoyed sitting around the fire pit having good conversation. The kitchens in all three houses were well equipped. We will definitely stay at these homes again. I can t say enough about the excellent customer service we received from Taylor Made from the moment we expressed interest in renting the homes. Great Get Away, we give a 5 star rating and we will definitely recommend Taylor Made and the 3 homes to our friends and family.

I was very excited to arrive in Deep Creek with 7 of my closest friends for a relaxed weekend, until I opened the lock box and there was no key. Not a big deal, I called the rental office and the woman apologized and said they would send someone right over with the key and my gift bag (which I was supposed to pick up sometime during my stay). After being unable to enter the house and waiting for the key for about 15 minutes I got a call from a number I didn't recognize. It was a different woman from the rental office who asked me to come to the rental office to pick up the key and "check in." I said "I was told someone was leaving right away with our key and that we can check in remotely." Her response was "well since we are only a couple miles away I figured this would be easier." I told her I would have had the key by now if they had left when they said they were going to and since it was their error I don't see why I should be inconvenienced. She got an attitude and basically hung up on me. After I waited an additional half hour with no one showing up, I called again to make sure they were on their way. The man who answered said he didn't think anyone had left, but he would leave right away. About 20 minutes later a woman showed up with my key and gift bag... no apology, just basically tossed the key at me and drove off. I will never give this company my money ever again.

Great place to get rental. People there are great homes are clean if you need anything from them they are right there to help you .the repair man are great if you need something fix they are very professional and treat you like family I highly recommend places

Worst experience of our lives. Rented same cabin for 6 years and now they got rid of cable (without letting anyone know). Hot tub was filthy. Dishwasher was full. Fireplace was full of burnt wood. Tea kettle was full of moldy water. Taylor made did the very minimum to satisfy the situation. $100 off of $1225 bill. The name of the cabin is canaima in Yellowstone villages. Do not advise anyone to stay there or any other taylor made property for that matter

Not only was the place not clean in general, there were bugs everywhere. I understand its a cabin in the woods. But im saying I walked into the bathroom and there were 8 spiders and 3 mosquitos. The beds had both spiders and moths in them. I had to take the sheets off and clean them myself, made me feel better about the bugs for a night but didn't help the stains permanently in the sheets. Our hot tub was broken 2 out of 3 days we were there. Check in was 5pm and check out 9am. While at first I understood this was caused by the need to deep clean for Covid related reasons, the place was far from clean. FAR!! I swear I would rather pitch a tent then rent from this company ever again. This rating would be 0/5 if it let me.

We recently enjoyed a weekend getaway at Mountain Merlot, and absolutely loved our stay. From the scenic views off the deck, to the layout of the home, and everything deep creek lake has to offer, we couldn t have asked for more. Each bedroom at mountain merlot has its own bathroom, what a convenience. The house was clean, and spacious. Deep creek is our families favorite vacation destination, and mountain merlot did not disappoint. Another successful, fun trip to the lake in the books!!

I rented a home for the Thanksgiving holiday. It was empty weeks before. Preventive maintenance was poor. Needing: paint touch up, light bulbs replaced, towel bar loose, tub faucet loose, cable turned on and low on fire wood. For my dollar spent I was disappointed.

My family vacationed in Deep Creek for the first time this year and we will certainly be coming back! We stayed in Ponte Vista, a Lake view home that was extremely accommodating, very clean, nicely decorated and had a great view of the lake from the wrap around porch. This was really a "home away from home" as many of the things that are sometimes lacking from vacation rentals were provided, linens, bathroom soap, a blender in the kitchen, propane, wood for the fireplace...anything we needed was there.

I cannot stress enough how great it was to stay with Taylor Made, these guys really know their stuff! You can tell that they have a passion for the area and really went out of their way numerous times. When deciding on a property (I wasn't sure if my grandparents would be coming) the reservationist on the phone offered to go to the property to count the steps to the door. While on our stay, we had an issue with the grill and someone was out to fix it within a half hour. When it rained one day, we stopped into the office and got a movie from a kiosk in the office, a service that's completely free for guests. We also got recommendations on things to do and bought our white water rafting tickets at the office for a discounted price. Check in and out was also a breeze, we were able to go right to the property with a key code and stop into the office whenever it was convenient, this was especially nice since we were crammed in the car for 6 hours and anxious to start vacation.

I could go on all day, if you're renting a house in Deep Creek, you should definitely stay with Taylor Made.

The worst customer service and experience ever . Camping is a part of my life and been to so many places this location and company was the poorest. Mice every where , all over our food in the kitchen , in beds and personal stuff .

I wish I would have done more research on the rental company before renting. We rented Tips UP for a 3-night stay. If I could give less than 1 star I would. Do not rent from this company unless you are looking for unsanitary conditions, horrible customer service, and disappointment. We arrived late in the evening upon arrival we found mouse droppings all through the house, on the bed, dining room table, cabinets, bathroom, carpets..everywhere! It was disgusting! How could this house have been cleaned prior to arrival if there were droppings everywhere?? Dead bugs in the showers as well. We contacted the management first thing in the morning and was told "well we do have a mouse here and there" basically they acted as if nothing was wrong. They agreed to send the cleaners back and put out traps. I'm sorry, Did I pay $1500 to have mouse droppings and then get rid of a dead mouse from a trap?!!! I asked if they could move us and was told that all houses were booked. Cleaners came back, cleaned up the droppings then the maintenance man arrived with several snap traps. I asked who was going to dispose of the mice and we were told we would have to! He went back out and instead brought back box traps. We dealt with that and then had to deal with our neighbors have a house party for 24 hours with blaring music and yelling outside all night. We called to complain and she basically laughed at us and said she would she if they would turn down the music. Horrible experience, Horrible customer service. I would never, come back here.

I stayed with one of the companies rentals in Januar . They were professional, nice, and when I called them they had no issue resolving a question or concern I had. It was smooth checking in. The property I stayed at was AMAZING. It was cute and cozy. Had everything you needed on a trip.

Me and my family booked a reservation for December 2020. We called to talk to someone from the office she was rude tatiana and transferred us to another employee kayla she was also rude. They go to tell us that because the names on the reservation didn t have match that we were not family and are charging us for that, but in fact we are. They go to say we are looking for a mom and dad yet we are all of age(22-25). I am disgusted by the discrimination towards me. Do not book with them , unless you want to be insulted and socially profiled.

We found a couple mice in the basement and one dead in the living room. We couldn t sleep in the basement and it was disgusting. Hope you guys take care of it for the next guess. Thank you!

We had a great experience renting our house from them. The house was so clean and all the instructions were simple and easy to follow. We never had one issue with the place. Exactly as described in the write up and pictures. They made it very easy to check in and check out so we could maximize our time on the lake. Thanks!

Have booked with Taylor-Made several times. Chris R. is always very helpful and responsive! She has assisted me in searching for both long-term and short-term rentals and has always been very easy to work with. Securing a reservation, making payment, and access to rentals is hassle-free

Last week I stayed at Valhalla with a group of family and friends. In 14 years visiting the area I have never been so disappointed in a rental home. There were so many points of unhappiness or just plain inconveniences that I felt feedback was necessary. This home is listed as an "Elite Properties" and it should not be. The view was undeniably breathtaking but that's the only thing this property currently has going for it.

The major issues first:
The oven, as in the large oven that should be used for cooking for a large group, does not operate. In fact it has a sticker that is old enough to be partially worn off that reads - Temporarily out of order, or something to that effect. The wall oven is too small to do a large meal all at once so it takes twice as long to make a meal as you have to do it in shifts. Had this been disclosed at the time of booking I would have elected to choose another home. This inconvenience tops the list as we do not venture out for meals but enjoy doing all of the cooking ourselves.

The bed, lower level, was also broken apart and not laundered. Upon arrival we noticed the odd angle of the bed and once we removed the mattress it was discovered the frame was apart and part of it sits on wooden blocks. The first hour of our stay was spent putting the frame back together and washing the linens. The mattress is not really a mattress at all but instead a 4 inch foam piece with a 2 inch mattress topper thrown on top of it. If you try to sit on the side of the bed to put on shoes the entire mattress flips up and over on top of you.

Every dish, cup, bowl and pan pulled out for use was filthy, greasy or had food particles stuck to it. Everything had to be washed before use.

A visibly set mouse trap with peanut butter was left inside the cabinet to the right of the refrigerator - disgusting

Downstairs television viewing is not user friendly. After 45 minutes of trying we were able to figure out that in order to watch tv and change channels you have to open the closet door holding all of the equipment and point the remote back over your head towards the closet for the remote to work. Getting the dvd player to work was another 40 minutes of wasted time - your directions are wrong. Bottom line - with no tv upstairs the lower level should be as user friendly as possible and it is far from it.

In addition I would also like to share this feedback:
The kitchen is not stocked well enough for the size of this home.
Not enough utensils, especially forks.
Not enough mixing bowls
Not enough baking pans
Hand mixer - broken
No pot holders - we went out and bought our own
Not enough hand towels
Dishwasher - not anchored to the cabinet so when opened it falls forward
Faucet sprayer is cracked and leaks when used
Throughout the rest of the home.
No screens on many windows making opening them for a cross breeze impossible without bees coming in (we tried). The large windows facing the lake make for a heated afternoon and not being able to open other windows is uncomfortable.
There were no hand towels in the main floor 1/2 bath
There was only 1 spare blanket
There were no extra linens (towels, hand towels, etc) - again for a house this size
The master bathroom sink area has ants, lots of them
The hot tub does not heat and cool properly
The shower in the upstairs bathroom has zero water pressure, to the point of being useless - those two guests showered downstairs
The tiles have fallen off of the sink in the lower level bathroom
The towel hanger on one of the shower doors falls off and the other is hard to move so either way you are rolling the dice to something going wrong when trying to shower (lower level bathroom)

I expect some issues to arise, after all these are rental homes, but to be disappointed on so many levels is not acceptable. I search extensively for a home to meet our needs for this annual trip.This rental failed on every level except the privacy and this is the first time I have felt ripped off. And now 8 days later I have yet to receive a response to my feedback. Poor business ethics.

Taylor-Made reality was top notch. Very professional and answered questions we had about a future summer stay. Our place was perfect for a weekend getaway. Can't wait to come back to Deep Creek to another visit.

My big family is giving the highest recommendations of Taylor-Made Deep Creek Vacations & Sales and especially the house we had.

We enjoyed our thanksgiving time at the Gathering Place house on Deep Creek Lake. It was prepared for us with love, and I think it will be the same for anyone who will have it next. It positively enhanced the quality of our family time. The interior and outside of the house are fantastic a very sophisticated, unique design. Spacious and comfortable bedrooms. Huge dining table with enough chairs. Fast Internet, nice TVs everywhere. Great location. The list is long. It was effortless to work with the management. No issues. We're coming back!

I have rented homes at Deep Creek Lake with Taylor-Made on multiple occasions over the past year with varying outcomes.

The first time was Fall 2017 and our experience was great.

The second time was April 2018 and the only issue we had was that they promised to plow the driveway after it snowed and they never showed up.

I had a third trip planned for June 2018 and due to the bad winter we had, we couldn't make it because the schools extended the school year by a week. I explained this to a representative at Taylor-Made and they basically said too bad. They offered to run a special on the house to see if they could rent it out to someone else. I kept checking their website and there was no special listed. After repeatedly contacting them, they added a special at the last minute but it didn't get rented out. I understand that the owner would be losing money if I were to get a full refund but Taylor-Made could have done something in good faith to show that they care about their customers. For example, they could have refunded me something like a cleaning fee since the house went unoccupied. I lost thousands of dollars but tried to just move on and not get too upset about it.

I decided to book a different house for the following week since our kids would be done school. By this time, our options were limited. I picked a home that looked nice in the pictures and had a great view. When we arrived, the house had a strange smell to it. I noticed that there were wet areas near the doors with ants dead or dying. It appeared that they had just sprayed some insecticide right before we arrived. There were ants throughout the house the whole time we were there and their bodies piled up around the perimeter of the inside of the home. I wasn't overly concerned about the ants but it was just the beginning of many problems.

When we went to cook, there was mouse poop on the baking pans under the oven.

The hot tub would only work for a few minutes and then it would shut off. Then, the air conditioning stopped working. We arrived on Sunday and when we called, we got a message telling us to call tomorrow. We called on Monday and reported the issues. A man showed up saying he was there to clean a dirty grill and fix some other issue...he had the wrong home. He tried to fix the hot tub but couldn't. The next several days we had several repair men in and out of the home all day long trying to fix the air conditioning and hot tub. I asked Taylor-Made to move us to another property because this was uncomfortable for us. This is our vacation, not time to wait around for someone to fix this rundown property. They told us we didn't have to be there while they were working on the home but we didn't want to leave our valuables behind. They refused to move us to another home and basically said too bad, you picked this one and you're stuck with it. They had to order parts to fix the hot tub so we barely got to use it. At this point, calls to Taylor-Made were not returned so I eventually gave up. Even though they had two repairmen out to fix the A/C, it continued to stop working for periods of time. I could hear it trying to start up over and over again but again, they stopped returning my calls.

In 9 months, I spent thousands of dollars of 4 property rentals and would have continued to do so each year for many years to come. Taylor-Made does not understand building relationships with customers. This was supposed to be our vacation and it was a headache and disappointment. We will be coming back to Deep Creek Lake but we won't be renting with Taylor-Made. I'm going to try one of the other rental companies next time. I see they have better reviews anyway.

6/26/18 Update:
A representative from Taylor-Made called me today and offered to correct this situation. I very much appreciate and have changed my review.

This was my first time trying to rent through Taylor Made..just now reading the terrible reviews, I m glad now that I didn t. Called to inquire about a property that advised me I had a 3 night minimum rental but only 2 days were available. I had to call a few times myself after speaking with someone and being promised a call back..that should have been clue #1. After quoting me the same price for 2 nights as I would have paid for 3 had 3 nights been available, I ask for a breakdown of the cost only to be told we don t have a per night rate for this home..it s all supply and demand ????? So charge me for 3 nights when only two were available??? Talk about scams! That was it for me..the home owner lost out on renting for 2 nights because THEY left Taylor Made to rent their property. Back to Railey Realty if I ever rent again in Deep Creek.

TL;DR - Taylor-Made (TM) advertised a wedding house as holding 100 people. One week prior to our event, they told us no more than 30 were allowed in the house and we could not have a party after we booked it. They claimed it was a fire hazard, yet the fire extinguisher in the house was out of date and the arrow was on empty-- talk about a real fire hazard. They intruded on the event and stayed in the driveway for 45 minutes blocking it for our visitors.

Normally I don't write reviews, but it would be unjust if I didn't share my experience. The house we rented is advertised as a wedding celebration house able to hold 100 people. We scheduled to rent this house over a weekend where we could celebrate our marriage with some family and friends (well below advertised capacity) for a get together. We booked the house several months in advance and were very transparent about our intentions from the beginning. There were only 60 people in total! A week before the event, our caterers inquired about getting a look at the house so they could figure out where to set up. TM was unaccommodating and very rude to the caterers. One week before our event, they told the caterers to set up outside. TM then told us only 30 would be allowed in the house at one time and that it was a fire hazard to have anymore people. (Note: They broke a fire code by having an expired fire extinguisher on empty; see picture.) They said in order to have an event such as this we needed to rent tables, chairs, and a tent. On top of that the tent could not be staked into the ground. There was only one company that could accommodate this on such short notice. Unfortunately, they were out of tents because it was the week before. Go figure. We ended up having to go to Cumberland (over an hour away) to get a tent that could be set up to their liking. They also forced us to get two Porta-Johns even though they have 7.5 bathrooms. It was unnecessary. On the day of the event, management actually showed up at the house to make sure we had all accommodations. It was a needless intrusion on our private wedding party. They parked in the driveway for 45 minutes watching us. In every interaction, TM was extremely rude. We wanted to rent this house for it's advertised purpose. We ended up spending hundreds of dollars on last minute amenities to appease Taylor-Made. Otherwise, they would have canceled our reservation. I am so frustrated at my experience with this rental agency.

If you've gotten this far in my review: I hope you decide NOT to do business with Taylor-Made Deep Creek Vacations & Sales.

We were able to experience all 4 seasons in the 5 days we were here at Sm'Oars from 2/17-21/2018! A large snowstorm on Saturday, cold winter weather Sunday, A rainy 55 on Monday, Sunny and beautiful 76* on Tuesday and a beautiful and sunny 80* on Wednesday!!!

I just wanted to report that the large jetted tub upstairs smelled horribly like Sulphur when we used it on Sunday night. One of the main reasons we had rented this house was because of the awesome tub!! We thought that maybe it hadn't been used in a while so we tried again Monday night. It was a tiny bit better, but still smelled of rotten eggs. I read up on the internet that if it hadn't been used in a month or so and had a lot of run off into the well that that might occur, but after 1-2 uses, it should be back to normal. I myself tried it Tuesday night. It started out perfect. I went downstairs to make a cup of tea while waiting for it to fill up since there wasn't an egg/Sulphur smell present.

Once I went back upstairs, it hit me hard in the face! It smelled like someone had left a cooler full of egg salad to rot in 100* and opened in the upstairs bathroom. I opened windows, but unfortunately I had to sleep in the basement because of the smell. It was completely aired out by morning.

Other than that, the house is adorable. It does need a good scrubbing though. We still had a great time from snow tubing with 10 inches of snow, to walking the falls in the 70's, to eating Dairy Queen outside at a picnic table in the 80* sun!

Wonderful experience with the rental company and staff. Easy check in, check out and everything else! Some things about our rental home were not very clear in the description, but no deal breakers. I probably could have asked more questions!

We stayed at Bear's Dream after Christmas and into the New Year. This was my first experience with Taylor Made and I was nervous. The experience was amazing! The house was clean, well stocked and still had all of the beautiful Christmas decorations. I was especially grateful because we arrived at night and to my surprise, there was plenty of lighting outside which made me feel very safe and welcoming. We will return.

We had an incredible weekend. The house was beyond words and the view was just spectacular. We couldn't have asked for a better value for our money. 8 adults, and 4 toddlers, felt like home away from home!

My family and I (8 adults and 5 children) stayed at Valley Lodge from November 27th and checked out on Saturday, November 30th (we spent 3 nights). On the first night (Wednesday) as we prepared for bed around 1:00 a.m. we checked all windows and doors to make sure everything was locked and secure. As we checked the front door we noticed that the door locked but could still be pulled opened from the inside as well as pushed open from the outside just by pulling or pushing hard enough, the same was for the sliding door. This meant that the house was not secure and if an intruder wanted to enter the house they could, leaving us all vulnerable and very insecure. We did what we could to secure both doors, but we were still left sleeping with an uneasy feeling. Also, on our first day we noticed dog hair all over the rug in the kitchen and elsewhere throughout the main level (even though this property is listed as non-pet friendly). Thursday morning, I tried calling several different numbers including Taylor Made and got the same recording for all numbers (not knowing the offices were closed for the Thanksgiving holiday). I was able to speak to someone Friday morning explaining my deep concern about the 2 doors that could be easily opened from the outside and the dog hair. I was told someone would be sent out to clean up the dog hair and look at the doors. Shortly after the phone conversation a young lady came and vacuumed up the dog hair, and then a gentleman came to look at the doors. The gentleman was able to fix the problem with the front door but said a part would have to be ordered for the slider and it would come in sometime next week (leaving the slider insecure), meaning my family and I had to spend all 3 nights in an unsecure rental home.

I would like to say that the house itself is beautiful and suited our needs, but one of the reasons I choose Valley Lodge was because it was not animal friendly as myself and several other family members have allergies and asthma. I find it to be false advertisement. And the issue with the insecure doors is inexcusable and to be told that we were in a very safe area where break ins don't happen was not very reassuring (break ins happen everywhere).

My husband and I paid a lot of money for our family to have a nice getaway for the Thanksgiving holiday and everyone was so excited and we all really looked forward to our trip. This trip meant the world to me and my husband to be able to do this for our family meant everything to us and to then be so disappointed and feel unsafe.

Finally, to date no one has contacted me to see if things were taken care of adequately or if I was satisfied. After returning home I
wrote to Taylor-Made and I have not heard a single word from them. This shows a lack of customer service and professionalism on the part of Taylor-Made. I'm sorry to have to give such a negative review for such a beautiful property.

TAYLOR MADE DEEP CREEK LAKE RENTAL PROBLEM !

We arrived to our rental called "UTOPIA" at 4:00 pm and found the Townhouse a MESS (never cleaned). The neighbors said no renters in weeks. We waited for the cleaners to arrive in 37 degree weather. My wife tried to call "THE BOSS" Chris and she would not call us back nor come to the property at all. The property is NOT what the pictures show on line. It is run down AND invested with bees and yellow jackets. I finally went to their office and spoke with Chris expecting at least 2 Free nites for our problems. She acted like she knew nothing about our numerous calls to her office and no return calls. She gave us only a FREE cleaning. DO NOT RENT FROM TAYLOR MADE IN DEEP CREEK LAKE, MARYLAND.

This was a hidden gem! There were no pictures up when I booked it and was a little worried about the inside. Man was it awesome! You are tucked away in your own little private area with a great area by the lake to hang out. Definitely will be booking this one from now on.

Everything from the initial ordering of the room to check out was very easy and went really smooth. Great vacation homes and customer service. Highly recommend to anyone and will most certainly use for future trips!

Wonderful place for our family. Love the lake access and the firepit. We will be back next year!!

When we arrived the fire alarm was alarming with a low battery signal, I called the office and they sent someone to fix it very quickly. The home was very clean and comfortable. Our trip was just my husband and myself so we had more than enough room. I would say this house could hold 6 people comfortably. The kitchen was well stocked for our uncomplicated meals we prepared. We really liked the central location of the home to all the state parks in the immediate area as we wanted to visit them all for hiking. The hot tub was a great treat after a full day of hiking but it would have been nice if there had been some reclining chairs on the deck as well for relaxing outdoors. Lovely home for our purposes, if you were looking for a home with a view this would not be a good choice.

I made a reservation to stay in a Taylor Made property and cant wait to get there, I've stayed at the property that I reserved 3 yrs. ago and enjoyed it, but the reservations line that I have been calling since before I made my reservation the is no answer always busy never rang. I have sent several emails with no response it was easy to take my down payment and the balance is scheduled to come out automatic. They gave the option to change payment options but could not get to it. I have questions about the payment I made and the payments that are left it do not match. It is a shame that the only way to contact them is to make a reservation and a deposit. So far I am very disappointed being that me, co-workers and friends are trying to do this twice a year. I will be writing a review on the house also in another month.

This company simply did not meet expectations. For a house that costed 3500 dollars to rent, we expected to be able to walk in to a clean, problem free home and enjoy our vacation, but this simply wasn't the case. When we walked in, the floor and furniture were filthy. There was dirt and what looked like wood chips on the floor, the place looked like it hadn't been dusted in weeks, and the kitchen was simply not cleaned to what one would want their home's kitchen to be. On top of this, we had to call about TV and internet not working correctly. This was something that wasn't the direct fault of Taylor Made, but it should have been noticed and addressed before we got the house. Finally, the house had a propane fireplace, and the entire time gas was leaked from a valve on the floor. Calling someone to repair it awarded virtually no block to the propane. This is all on top that the house was super grimy and overgrown on the outside and looked very unclean. We stayed at Sunset Reflections.

Great place with an awesome peaceful view! We loved it, so roomy for the entire family. TVs in every room, full kitchen, nice hiking trails and beautiful lake. Definitely ready to go back

Awesome house! It was perfect for a family-friendly joint bachelor/ette party! All the house amenities were perfect for 14 people - it was great that we could all sit-down and enjoy meals together with the kitchen bar and huge table. The bedrooms were comfy and the bathrooms were nice considering there were 5 suites! We enjoyed the outdoor spaces - decks, hot tub and fire pit. We will definitely keep this on our list for a future trip to Deep Creek!

The Taylor-Made people were all very nice and helpful. Break Away Chalet is absolutely beautiful. The one recommendation I have is the back yard needs a spotlight to make fires easier. We were very upset because EVERYwhere we went to fish was private property or you had to fish from a boat. We finally got the idea to ask the people at Taylor-Made where we could go and they told us of a fantastic spot where we caught several fish. We highly recommend using Taylor--Made.

Very good and quite property for relax and all the activity are only less then 2 miles away. This way you have best of the both world.

I booked this vacation home online, Taylor Made's website had plenty of homes for rent, it was easy to make reservations. I had to call Taylor Made a couple times because I had a few questions, each time they were friendly and helpful. The house was very clean that we rented and all information at the home was informative. When we return, we will always use Taylor Made....5 stars all around!

The only place to go for vacation rentals at Deep Creek Lake. Well maintained properties with a management company that cares. We've been coming here since 2006.

I have stayed in several Taylor Made homes, American Pride, Top of the slopes, Hootenanny, and last but not least Kendall Camp. I can truly say that Kendall Camp was by far the best home that I've stayed in and my kids loved it even more. the home had several old skool arcade games in them which made the adults more so then the kids feel like little kids again. The only downside to that home was the tv in the kids room. The only way for all 4 of my boys to watch tv was to share the top bunk. Other then that, the house was amazing and I plan on staying again. Hootenanny on the other hand was something of its own. Apparently, I rented the house right after another family and they totally disrespected that beautiful home. the bay window was knocked out/broken which in the dead of winter made the house extremely cold and the cardboard that was put In place made it a sore eye for the view.. Having to stay in that house for 7 days was cold and frustrating not to mention the tv on the main level was broken as well to the point that the maintenance man had to hook up my boyfriends speaker to the tv in order to enjoy and watch tv. there were other small things however after bringing to the attention of the staff I was compensated for my stay. The staff is always funny, friendly, and compassionate to your needs during your stay with them. Please don't let the negative comments discourage your from staying in one of there homes for every home is different. I'm looking forward to staying in November over the thanksgiving holiday. I also want to thank Taylor Made Staff for your great customer service and professionalism each time I've stayed. Overall I wish I could give more then 5 stars

While it all worked out for a nice extended weekend getaway, I'm only rating 3-stars based on the unacceptable customer service received when we experience issues with our rental upon arrival.

We arrived at the rental, the Jacuzzi in the master bath on the 1st level was full with water running (not sure how long) which flooded the lower level. Also, the unit rented was not the same as what was pictured on the website when we booked the reservation online. The layout was completely different and it had Queen and Full beds, not the king and Queen beds we needed to accommodate 5 adult couples.

The on call service was contacted regarding these issues. Unfortunately the service rep (don't recall his name but he was taking calls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday the 11th of December) dispatched maintenance regarding the flooding but was RUDE, ARGUMENTATIVE, and DISMISSIVE regarding our concerns about the bed sizes and the obvious online misrepresentation of the unit. He told us we were told that we were wrong about the bed sizes not being correct because he had been to the property before, and that the pictures online had to be accurate because the property was rented previously. Fortunately that was our last dealing with this individual as later service calls were handled appropriately by different reps.

The maintenance tecnician came out quickly to assess the flooding. He was friendly and professional and quickly assessed that external service company would be needed called in to address the flooding fully.

Shortly after that determination, a rental agent named Alysen contacted us. She was tasked with moving us to another lake-front unit. Alysen offered an upgraded unit about 15 minutes away and committed to follow-up with the marketing team to address the online picture discrepancy. She was professional and patient, sending us pictures of the new rental for approval instead of telling us the this unit was the only option.

Sadly our initial dealings with the initial rep soured my experience, as had there not been flooding, I feel that our accommodation concerns may not have been addressed. Because of this I will not book through nor recommend Tailor-Made as my first option going forward.

We contacted Taylor-Made Realty because they showed up whenever we did a search for a dog friendly rental. We found that contacting them by phone was the best route, and they were always very friendly and helpful. It was based on conversations we had with their staff that we were able to choose the perfect rental for our family. When we contacted their office about a few weird things, they were extremely responsive, and all of the staff that visited during our stay were considerate and attentive. I recommend them for any vacation rentals in the Deep Creek area. I did mention that we knew some of the properties had issues, and that we were traveling with someone who is more vulnerable. They had many reasons for directing us to this property (a bit above our price point), but one was that it is newer and in good shape. It was, and we were grateful.

Before i dog Taylor-Made homes i want to give them the benefit of doubt due to covid. Last year i rented a home called Sunset Reflections. Loved the home and wanted to try something different. So we decided to rent out Purrfect Peace. I want to first say the home is beautiful, the lay out and how it was made. However the upkeep of the house was awful. When we arrive we notice mouse droppings all over the home. In the kitchen drawers, on top of counters. We call Taylor-Made telling them of the problem. They send someone to clean the drawers. There was cob webs every where, everything was dusty and looked like it hadn't been clean in months. The second day was the show stopper. Mice started running out in the open. Not one but 4. We called again and they sent someone out to set up mouse traps. The guy who they sent said its that time of year and mice come in to the homes. I totally understand that being a homeowner, however if you know it is a problem why arent provision being made to ensure no rodents or bugs are in the house? You know something called Pest Control? The deck and backyard were nice but no one took the time to blow the leaves off the decks, so i had to sweep everything. There are no cleaning products in the home so you want to make sure you bring cleaning items because everything was dirty. They had the audacity to have check list of things they wanted left clean. (Laughable) Umm how about they make sure it is clean in the first place? We asked for management to call us to see if we could get some sort of refund but of course we haven't heard from anyone.
Amenities
Outdoor Firepit, Yes but didn't provide any wood so if you want to use it bring your own.
Hot Tub-Nice but it wasn't cleaned or serviced, and no one came out to service it.
Ive attached pictures of the dead mice that were caught by the traps and mouse dropping inside the drawers.
Again lovely home but if you want people to rent these home please make sure you have it cleaned!!!

We called to see if we can get a refund and they offered to refund us $200 if we sign an agreement. The agreement says if we sign then we cant give them any negative publicity. The contract says "this doubtful claim" There is nothing doubtful about the claim, i have plenty of pictures to prove it. CHAD MICHAEL TAYLOR of Taylor-Made can keep the $200. I will get more satisfaction blasting them every where i can. Instead of trying to pay people off to keep quiet about their dirty rental condition, take the time to fix the problems!! I am sure we are not the only people who had to deal with this fraud of a company!!

I have always had a relaxed and enjoyable vacation when renting through Taylor-made. You would be hard-pressed to find a better value in the region for the amenities and and customer-service experience. The binder they provide in every property is thorough and outlines just about everything you need to know about your property.

I'm taking the time to write this review on Google because often times people are only inclined to write reviews when something negative happens. Many of the negative reviews I have seen were the result of people trying to bend the rules or not reviewing the terms of their renting agreement. Their customer-service team is amazing so if you are worried about something call them before you rent!

Very pleased with my rental! I rented a place the week of Thanksgiving and when I got to my place someone else was there. I was super disappointed and had a large family with me so I called Taylormade and apparently an employee accidentally canceled my rental and it got booked by someone else. I know this could have been horrible, but the lady that answered my call from Taylormade was absolutely wonderful! She was so calm and assured me that they would give me another rental that was comparable if not better. I did not have any service so I could not pick a house in my own but I explained what I needed and left it up to the lady to pick a house for me. The house was amazing!! This could ve been a bad review but the way this employee handled the situation made our experience great! I wish I could remember her name but again she was great! The customer service I received was one of the main reasons I m giving such a good review.

This place was absolutely wonderful. The house was nice and clean with adequate space. The people were friendly and the view was breathtaking.
