Horrible service. Customer service is poor, room quality is poor and outdated. We had mold in our room and had to ask for Engineering to come and remove the mold. The manager claimed she didnt know. I was called a liar when I told Amanda the Manager that we had mold. Even when I showed her pictures she didnt believe me.

Very satisfied with my experience at this staybridge. Room was clean, bed was comfortable with awesome pillows. Good variety for breakfast. But the best part was the front desk staff. They took good care of us, keeping us in the same king room despite separate reservations.

Pros:

Pros:
- Great location, friendly staff and excellent room service.
Cons:
- Rooms are too small and during summer, old carpets can get smelly.
- Continental breakfast - if you are a vegan/vegetarian, you'll get sugar laden food; don't rely on this food.
- If your room is situated on one of the higher floors, you have to be really patient as it can take several minutes for an elevator to stop at your floor.

Well located, very close to Time Square and subway station from 42st. And Autorithi. The hotel has a kitchen and the beds are comfortable, good showers and attentive staff. It is opposite the Port Authority Bus Terminal.

Loved the experience here. Best location to travel around Manhattan. Rooms were spacious enough and taking the room with the view was totally worth the money. Only annoying thing was the non-functional and insanely slow elevators during 8 a.m- 10:30 a.m. Overall a great hotel and would totally suggest :)

The room is really superb! The plus is the bed measuring 2 meters by 2! It s a real treat !!
Comfortable bathroom, fridge and dishwasher in the kitchen, good TV, good ergonomics of the room.

Negative point: the lack of power outlet and the difficulty in reaching the light switches.

Others: The breakfast is good but nothing more for a hotel of this prestige and one of the elevators must be changed or put a little oil in it, it makes a real noise that annoys the end of the night

For the view, we had seen on the side opposite the road so saw not terrible but very appreciable since no noise nuisance !!

I recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel in a great location. Can't fault the staff. The beds were comfy ( but pillows not). Kitchenette was a bit small but suited our needs. Not enough elevators for the amount of guests in hotel. Free breakfast and free food and drink at social hours were great for us and saved us a lot of money. Lounge/restaurant area needs to be bigger for the amount of guests.

Absolutely the worst stay I've ever experienced in...

Absolutely the worst stay I've ever experienced in a hotel. I'm still here and as I type this I continue to hear a very loud and horrendous noise that has been coming from the elevators for three day AND NIGHTS now. I spoke to the front desk three times and they said they would send security up to see why so much noise, but I still haven't noticed anyone come up. Once they said they would investigate, but I've heard nothing back. So... third sleepless night. I talked to another guest on the floor below me and they said it was "horrible" too so it wasn't just me. The tv signal sucks for 1/3 of the stations, the outside noise is insane (but it is NY so...) the very loud A/C fan will not stay on so it turns on and shuts off all night waking me up when I can actually finally fall asleep, and... back to the elevators... they are sooo slow. Every morning I wait almost 10 minutes for one and this morning when one showed up it was completely full (as usual since there is a backlog of people waiting). Fed up, I took the stairs. 23 flights first thing in the morning and on the way to see a client! And there was a LINE of people going down the stairs (presumably all the other people who gave up waiting)! I've never seen anything like that before at a hotel. And, no, I don't believe there was an issue with one of the elevators being out of order as I've seen them all open at least once per day and this ha been going on every day. Some good notes - clean rooms, nice bathrooms and actually good water pressure in the shower. Fix the freaking elevators and complacent staff and this might be an ok hotel.

It doesn't get much better! The location is great, the staff members are incredibly friendly, and the studio-styled rooms are spacious and comfortable. The kitchenette comes in handy when you want to cook a whole meal on the stove, heat up your dinner leftovers in the microwave or just chill a bottle of wine in the refrigerator. They even provide dishes, cups, utensils and a cookbook!

Breakfast is free and they provide food for happy hour as well :)

I don't know what all the fuss was about regarding the elevators being slow. I never had to wait very long.

I will definitely stay here again!!

My favorite place to stay always while in NYC, Karim Gittings took care of everything very well for me, very kind and a great manager, easy to check in and out. My room was very nice, clean, and comfortable beds. All the staff was great with a smile and always there to answer questions. I loved the doormen-very helpful and funny and made you always feel safe. The free breakfast was great with so much to choose from, the evening drinks and appetizers was a plus. Subway is very close and easy to get around. Best pizza place is a few feet away from hotel. I look forward to coming back and staying at Staybridge Suites Times Square.

WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE. First of all, the most unprofessional and rude receptionist. Not only she took forever with checking us in, but also didn t comply with the safety rule of wearing a mask inside the building. Secondly, the state of the hotel rooms is just not it, especially for the price we paid. In the first room we stayed in, the bathroom was completely clogged so it was impossible to take a shower. So they put us in another room, which actually ended up being occupied, so we just walked in on people (awkward). As a part of their apology, another (nice) receptionist guy changed our check out time for an hour later. However, the day of our check out the aforementioned rude lady came up to our room asking us to vacate it earlier than our upgraded check out time. Overall, if you wish to enjoy your stay, DO NOT STAY THERE.

We stayed there last year, but our friends stayed again this year.. another disappointing stay for them. Two years in a row the "Elevator's" were out...Really? The staff's only response was "Sorry", and they don't have any way to compensate for this inconvenience, which is Sad!

This is our first time to come to this hotel, we think it is a good deal. The room here is larger than the usual room in New York, with a small kitchen area and a full-size refrigerator. It is only one block from the subway station and you can quickly walk to Thames Square.

Somehow I couldn't find the appropriate curtain to drown out the light from the window until I couldn't fall asleep for 2 hrs but I feel like that's my fault haha. There's the thin one, the "thick" curtain and the decorative which doesn't move. Also the whole place needs a good cleaning/areas need repair.

Nice rooms. Sloppy management

Nice rooms. Sloppy management
The room I stayed in was very nice. Relatively spacious for Manhattan.
There are 32 floors and three elevators. One of the elevators was out of service when I checked in and also when I got to my room after a day of business. My key didn't work and so I had to go back down to the front desk to get my key fixed.

The front desk clerk just asked my room number. Not my name and not for ID. She just gave me a new key.

When I got into my room around 5:30 my room had not been serviced by housekeeping. At 5:55 the maid knocked on the door.

Nice hotel. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Location is 10 min walk from times square. Lots of good places to eat nearby. Room is clean and well maintained. Drawback is the elevator situation long waits and often times too full. Can be very frustrating in the mornings. Coffee and water always available and they have a small store. Checking your bags is free.

It s unsafe, should known it was the nypd was over there for at least 6 hours, no where to park if u do ur paying 70, dollars a day,!!! I m speaking with the manager and getting my money every last bit of it refunded!!!!!!

I've stayed there a few weeks over the past six months and I'll likely keep coming back because of the excellent staff.

The street is little sketchy at times because of the bus terminal across the street, the parole office a few doors down and of course the peep show storefronts.

Now, I have encountered a few problems, namely with the wired internet being down in a few rooms but the staff did everything that they could to make sure that I had what I needed, even if I had to move several times.

The elevator situation can be maddening so I'd suggest staying on a low floor if you don't like waiting.

The dining area is usually very crowded with tourists but if you get there early for breakfast, you'll have plenty of space. It's unfortunate that they don't have more space because the it's difficult to eat in the lounge area. Also, the passage way from the lobby to the dining area is way too tight and they try and encourage more people to go around to the side.

I really like the exercise room there but do wish that there were more than the two channels available on the treadmills. I usually end up running with my iPod and trying to read Bloomburg news, one of the two channels that work there.

The staff at this hotel are superfriendly! The doormen really knew their stuff and helped my girlfriend and I find some fun things to do while in NY. The rooms are a little tight, but it's expected when in Manhattan. The breakfast was delicious! The only downfall is the elevator. As much as staying on a top floor is nice, I'd recommend opting in for a lower floor. 30+ floors, and only 3 small elevators, one of which was being used by the cleaning staff for a short period. But all in all, a very nice place to stay!

It was ok. We came for our honeymoon and Was promised a room with a view and the view was of a brick wall.. disappointing. Breakfast was terrible. We stayed here specifically for the morning breakfast as we had many tours to head to and also didn t want to spend extra money but ended up having to every day or wait until lunch. The breakfast was totally empty and so picked over by 8am.... every morning(4 days). We tried all the different spots they serve breakfast level one and basement and it was the same. Every time barely any food left at all except bagels and cold eggs. One day there was pancakes but they were almost black and the ones that weren t totally black were so hard we couldn t cut into them. Such a let down. Elevators aren t great, takes 20 minutes to get from top floor to the 1st floor. We won t be back next time. Only plus was housekeepers made the bed and picked up our room daily and I appreciated that. Also front desk was rude. Overall wouldn t recommend for similar price you can find a better hotel.

Very nice establishment. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Elevators were slow. Breakfast - I would avoid it. Some of the worst hotel eggs I have ever had while traveling. The happy hour event was a nice touch. Will stay again on a future work trip.

Rooms are small, the shower is super small. The elevators in the morning are ridiculous! Waited over 20 minutes for the elevator this morning because they were all full. Call for a bellman if you need to catch a flight. Apparently, they can stop the elevator.

Good location for both visiting downtown and uptown. Rooms quite large with a nice view (floor 21), clean. Coffee available 24 hours on the ground floor. Great breakfast, lots of choice, yummy bagels. There was also the porridge that is rarely found. Cute happy hour too. Highly recommended.

Expensive even good location! Lot of money for poor standard! Rated as 4-Star-Hotel on booking.com but it is definitely not! Noisy unhygienic and uncomfortable.
The staff at the reception seemed very unprofessional and incapable to manage customer's request. I checked out earlier than the booking and they even charged the full amount. Booking.com hasn't been responsive to our complaints (four times)!

Had to walk through a gauntlet of marijuana smoke just to enter the building everyone we came and went. Rarely saw staff wearing masks properly (usually under their chin or nose). Our room clearly had been smoked in recently and often a smell of pot was present in the hallway. Terrible experience. Not like any staybridge I've ever seen. Couldn't wait to get out of there

Room was nice and clean, great when you factor in the price. Complimentary breakfast was better than most. Excellent shower, hot water, pressure. Bed was comfortable and feather pillows were available.

Elevators were the worst part of the stay. There are only three and all small. Expect long 5-10 minute waits during breakfast.

Caution:: Hotel messed up the deposit charge when checking in "of only $50" and booked an extended stay costing over $700. They quickly fixed but the charge held over 3 days

One full week of terrible stay it's enough for a p...

One full week of terrible stay it's enough for a proper review of this property that Intercontinental Group should immediate delist from their affiliates.

The premisses are very poor and fundamentally dirty.

Rooms are mostly dusty due to a very old moquette that has never been properly cleaned.
There is a only a micro wardrobe where you won't be able to put more than a couple of coats.
Due to the layout of the room there is not place to put your luggages that will therefore stay in the middle of the narrow corridor.
AC/Heating it's powerful but so noisy that it's impossibile to let it running during the night.
Room isolation is poor therefore you will hear everything, from the neighbour to the elevators.
Toilet are in decent conditions but showers are like a fountain on the floor so much is a the leaking.

Floors are served via three creapy elevators that are noisy and uncordinated.
It can took from a minimum of 10 minute to 35 minutes during peak hours to go from an high floor to lobby.

There is no service elevator therefore often you will be sharing the elevator with the staff and even more often you will not be able to board the elevator as it will be full of hotel stuffs as trolleys and more.
Conditions of the elevators are terrible and no doubt the carpets have never been cleaned.

Hotel website highlights free breakfast.
Conditions of this breakfast can be described only as miserable.
Beside the dirtyness and disorganization of the rooms dedicated, the food quality its terrible and consist of mostly frozen items or canned product plus a couple of vegetable (tomato and onions).

There is no indication of sort for ingredients and or allergens.
Tables are dirty, long queues are constant and it's most probable that you will not have where to seat therefore, most of the guest will be trying to go back to the rooms with dishes full of foods, creating even longer queue at the already terrible elevator that will be than smelling for hours.
Keep in mind too that its basically an open buffet of micro dimension.
When something is finished its gone till when the employee in charge (the hotel and particularly the breakfast is really understaffed) will be willing to replace it, than it will be available again.
The same for dishes, forks, glasses etc. etc.

Exist also a room that is dedicated to IHG member. Beside the condition of the rooms that can be described only as offensive here the situation is even worst.
Disorganization is the queen and dirtyness the king.

Location of the structure is pretty good but it's clearly not Times Square.
Wi-Fi is stabile and decent in terms of speed.

Stay away from this property.

For the price we paid, the best thing we got was location. It was really conveniently located. It was supposedly a 4 star hotel. Now, I'm not really a hotel conniseur but aren't these types of hotels meant to have some standards? The shower leaked water from the sides, toilet paper wasn't replaced when housekeeping came one night, the bin in the bathroom went missing, toilettries at one point were taken when housekeeping and had to be requested again, the lifts were so badly programmed that I waited almost 10 mins for one and ended up walking the stairs from the 23rd floor. Another aspect was that the carpet didn't seem to be vacuumed as well. Also, the air conditioning and heating system was acting weird a few times.

The main positives were the location and they did have clean beds - but that's expected for the money we paid and rating. What we didn't like were the combination of little things that made it feel cheaper. I've stayed at 3 star hotels with better quality. All in all, the stay was good cause of the location and ease of access. But I wouldn't stay here again.
