Sofitel T5 Review

Great hotel, clean and impressive cleaning service. The room disserves 5 starts for sure. The reason for the one star is the bar. Slow service, dirty tables and ... Oh the drinks: enjoy the photo of a glass full of ice and 15% coke. When you pay full price for drinks in such an expensive hotel, you do expect PERFECT service everywhere

We always choose LHR Sofitel to stay overnight if we are traveling to or from the States to another country. The room is always ready for us when we arrive at different times. If not ready, they will gladly keep our luggage while we go into town. We can always expect a clean comfortable room.

Very nice. The perfect room and the services they offer are of quality. The proximity to the airport key in the election.

Lovely hotel. You melt into the beds, the staff are so welcoming and the rooms are really nice. The bathroom is so luxurious. It's worth paying a little bit more to stay here as it is so much nicer than every hotel nearby. You can also walk into terminal 5 under a covered walk way.

Decent accommodations but could use a coffee machine and later hours in the executive lounge around dinner time.

We have stayed at this hotel many times. The rooms are well equipped, and the dining facilities are excellent. Above all, the hotel staff are outstanding, reflecting a very strong management. congratulations to everyone.

Excellent room, spacious, spotlessly clean and perfectly insonated. Soft and comfortable bed, room services included from the kettle with coffee and tea to the iron. I would add a pair of disposable slippers.
Everything else is perfect.

My stay was very professionally handled during Covid times. Pcr test routine great too. Pricey meals as all is now Room service

Friendly, helpful staff. Good choice of eateries. We had a one night stay before departure. This was our second stay here, better than the first, two years ago, when we had a disappointing experience at the Epoch restaurant. This time we are at Vivre which was really good. Great food and prompt service. Rooms are comfortable and well appointed.

Very nice hotel, clean and good value for money. However, it was advertised as 5 stars, but wasn't quite at that level in my opinion. One slightly annoying thing was that the porters insisted on transporting our luggage, and would not let us do it ourselves - not what we're used to in the States!

Great hotel for stopover in London before morning flight from Terminal 5.

I would give this comfortable hotel a higher rating except for a few unfortunate incidents during my stay. I treated my daughter and grandson to lunch at the tea room restaurant and were met with some curious service. The supervising girl was bullying a trainee within earshot and interrupted her while serving us literally pushing her aside saying I ll take over. The trainer was gracious and a lovely server and we proceeded to see her berated for goodness knows what at a distance. We were saddened by this. On my out to a different terminal I was called a cab and was assured they took credit cards. The driver arrived and at my destination which was supposed to be eighteen pounds he said that he couldn t accept a credit card. I said I only had euros. He said that was fine and it would cost twenty five euros. I handed him two twenties and he gave me back ten pounds. He wanted to only give me back five but I protested I was at his mercy had another plane to catch so left feeling very scammed. To their credit Sofitel is looking into this for me since I did order the cab from them and they knew the driver. But really this should not have happened it was truly shameful behaviour and left me feeling very disappointed. I am staying at the hotel again at the end of my trip since it is essentially comfortable and pleasant and I hope that my scam can ride will be resolved

Ver.y nice . Room near lift as requested. I have a mobility problem. When the airport wheelchair service failed to turn up one of the hotel staff took me all the way to the desk in the airport.

One night stay at the hotel during layover before an early flight in the morning. Lovely hotel and nice room. Excellent concierge service - assisted us in finding a local pub for dinner and personally took us to the airport when the wheelchair service did not arrive - definitely going above and beyond! Suggest that housekeeping check the status of the linen - sheets and comforter too short for the bed and even after requesting they see what they could do only the duvet was changed with the end of the mattress still exposed.

We needed a hotel close to the airport for our last night in London. After a grueling 8 day trip of business and pleasure from Ireland, England, and Scotland, we were exhausted and just wanted to crash somewhere convenient and comfortable. The hotel is very clean, smartly appointed, extremely convenient, very friendly staff, room service fantastic, and just what we needed. Exceeded expectations. Have already recommended to friends and will definitely stay again next time we're in London!

We visit Florence, Italy every year. We missed our connecting flight home to the States due to inclement weather in Florence. We arrived at Heathrow approximately 7 hours after anticipated arrival time. We were exhausted and spent. The room we received and the staff were all excellent. Helpful and accommodating. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to staying with you again.

Excellent hotel, super convenient to Terminal 5. They have a good deal on car parking too.

Just a lovely hotel nice staff and the food was great

Selected this hotel as it was at the airport. Had to ask two airport staff how to get to the hotel from Terminal 5 as signage was not abundant. Front desk was helpful on check in. Unfortunately gift shop was not open after 10:00pm. Room seemed a little dated but outfitted well. Room service breakfast was good. Omelette with toast.. no jam provided.

Hotel was very good. Your booking system was terrible. In the end I had to pay for an extra room that I had not booked but you were able to prove that I had made a mistake and refused to refund me. This was a month in advance of staying with you. You then sold that room to another customer as well. Sharp practice. Very sharp practice. Other customers beware.
Also you then tried to charge another person in our group for a second room he had not booked but luckily he had not paid in advance, however it did not stop your people trying hard to make him pay. To do it once is perhaps unintentional but to do it twice that I know of makes it look like policy.

I went to help out in the careers fair. The hotel was very nice, with jazz music playing in the background and the lobby filled with the colour gold, I felt as though I was in New York. As I was coming out of the hotel, I even noticed that the singer Craig David was exiting into his limo very quickly, that's when I noticed that many stars come into this hotel.

We used a nicely appointed meeting space as the jumping off point for a bus tour of England and several European countries. This hotel has a great location right at the airport, and is chicly elegant without being overdone. It was a very nice to start our trip. The staff we interacted with we're all friendly and helpful.

It was nice. the hotel is very conviently located and well kept. The only issue I had was with the TV which did not work and the pillow cases had an awful smell.

A very clean and corporate styled hotel surrounded by motorways. An easy walk to the airport, it serves the purpose it was built for....to provide accomodation close to the airport. Good helpful staff. It has a restaurant (there is not much choice unless you go to the airport to eat).

Was there for an event. Lunch was put on as part of the event and we very nice. The only complaint I would have is the parking. Although there are plenty of bays there are not many free ones. This was disappointing especially after I called the hotel a couple of days before the event to find out how busy the car park was and was told there was plenty of parking available always.

Fantastic very convenient location, so important when you sometimes only have limited hours of sleep when flying. Comfortable and stylish room. Very helpful staff.

Had a meeting in the conference area. Enough people checking that you have all the water in the world. Then they take away all the coffee cups... Would have expected a better, more conscious service

check in was fast and easy - plenty of receptionists ready to take guests; room was very comfortable; access to Terminal 3 was easy and free.

The sphere bar is awful. The staff are rude and they don't have a clue what's happening half the time.
The rest of the hotel is ok but the experience in the bar will make me think twice about using the hotel again.

And then a mouse ran across my foot, lose one more staff for that.

Hotel is super convenient and easy to access from Terminal 5. The decor and lay out is very modern and warm. Staff was responsive and polite, and our room was supremely appointed. This was our 2nd time here - there will definitely be a 3rd, and possibly more. Well done.

Amazing service, friendly staff and excellent facilities. Food in the restaurant is exceptional. Room service was of high quality and the room was of a good size with comfortable beds and linen. While the hotel is at the airport the noise is zero. I will be staying here again.

Sofitel London Heathrow is my favourite airport hotel in the world.( And I travel 44 weeks out of 53 a year). It is a tranquil sanctuary away from the hustle bustle of the airport scene and everything about the hotel envelopes you in luxury, elegance and stillness. When you slip beneath the sumptuous bed linens, it is like falling into a cloud . The feather mattress toppers are sublime. Rooms are kept immaculately clean and staff are friendly, warm and always professional.
Whenever possible I try to arrive there in time for dinner as the Belle Epoque has exquisite cuisine and deserves a Micheline star . The dining room is cosseting and quiet. With a luxurious spa, the entire experience becomes a mini vacation before your flight.

The place is spotless. Inside the room, you can't believe that you are in the middle of an airport. Sound proof windows did the trick.

The receptionist who registered me was charming and made me very welcome. I did not eat in the hotel but had a nightcap in the bar and again the Seville was impeccable. My room was luxurious and I could not fault it.

Basics... I think that you could do more to make this experience unforgettable!

Really handy hotel inside terminal 5 - Heathrow Airport. Step out of your room and take a lift into departures. Brilliant. Rooms are big also.

Adjacent to the Heathrow Airport is the T5 terminal with a covered bridge and the rooms are large, clean and elegant and the lobby has restaurants and cafes. The staff are very friendly

The perfect start to our trip. Room was very luxurious and staff were all friendly and professional. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

It was amazing stay until I went to pick up my car. Having just come back from Malaysia and experienced 5star service in another country. I asked to freshen up before heading home, which the hotel said they can accommodate, only to find that when we went to the spa where the receptionist told us that we can go, the clerk at the spa informed us that the front desk shouldn't have allowed that. She then proceeded to ring upstairs to inform her colleague that she shouldn't have done that. It felt degrading and we where made to feel that we where causing a massive inconvenience. Bare in mind that we had just come back from the most perfect holiday only to be embarrassed like this from an establishment that are considered to be five star. Quite disappointed. To add further insult to injury, when paying for the parking which I had emailed prior to arriving, I was informed that I could have got the parking included in the room which would have been cheaper. I couldn't understand how this nugget of information would have been useful seeing how I was in contact with the hotel prior to my stay where I was told that I did not need to pre pay for parking nor was I told about how to get the best rate.

Very professional efficient staff, the room was very comfortable and quiet. Location is superb with easy access from M25 to parking at the hotel. A short walk to T5 - perfect!

Very nice service! Lovely hotel. 2 restaurants and a bar. Only downside is that there is no breakfast at 5AM. I can recommend this!

Excellent hotel by any standard, but especially for an airport hotel. The hotel is right inside Terminal 5, making it extremely convenient if you're traveling on British Airways. Outstanding breakfast buffet. The only shortcoming I experienced was that service in the bar was inept and indifferent.

Luxurious comfort at the start of your travel adventures.
We stayed in a Superior room with a bath & stand-alone shower. The bed was huge & very comfy. Adjustable air con. Friendly room-service. NB The in-house tea salon "Tea 5" do the BEST coronation chicken sandwiches by the way.
The hotel is situated in Terminal 5 so relax by staying here if your flight leaves from there. You walk through a long link corridor straight from the hotel into the departure lounge.

Perfect location for a business meeting. I use it every few weeks for when somebody is flying through Heathrow and can't be bothered going into London. Reasonable price and in an environment meaning you won't be judged.

Had not stayed in a Sofitel hotel before and found a good deal on internet for room for myself and granddaughters before flying out to Bahamas on holiday. What an excellent find - lovely hotel, courteous staff, excellent restaurant and the perfect start to our holiday. Will definitely stay here again. Really was value for money.

Check in was fast and fuss-free. The hotel is very luxurious and we upgraded to a better room which included entry to the executive lounge and included breakfast (though we had to leave too early to take it.) Our room was spacious and well appointed, with the usual super-comfortable bed. An expensive hotel, if you're not on expenses, but good value for money anyway.

Large rooms, great big comfy beds and beautiful bathroom.

Very luxurious accommodation. Felt rather extravagant for 1 night before an early flight but it did contribute to the special weekend. The convenience alone was worth the premium. And I got a birthday drink from the lovely lady at check-in.

Great hotel and even better service - staff could not do enough to ensure our stay was to our liking - the hotel bed was the most comfortable I have slept in - everything was 5 stars - highly recommend

Reservation experience direct with hotel was poor. Addressed this with reservation manger Taniya Jaffrey before stay who provided excellent service recovery.

Check in and out polite, efficient and helpful.

Prestige suite clean, well appointed, offering all thats was required, even a distant view of Windsor castle.

Lounge offering good, self service. It's not the most luxurious or customer focused Sofitel lounge but for a busy airport hotel adequate. Hot drinks come from a machine including warm water for tea. Lounge used to offer a kettle to boil water which was a lot better. Lounge is rather inflexible with requests usually met with something along lines of "This is only a lounge" i.e. Request a pot of tea - no if you want that go to the bar we only offer tea bags and warm water. Request appropriate glassware for the offered brandy - no if you want that go the bar. otherwise drink it from the offered large heavy tumblers. Not big issues, just lacks the extra touches which often make Sofitel lounges special.

Dinner and breakfast good. Prices as you would expect for a large international hotel.

It's a large hotel with lots of guests coming a going all day so character is absent but generally does its job as an upmarket airport hotel well.



Sofitel Heathrow is the best option ignoring price at the airport especially if using Terminal 5 but with a few rough edges.

The overall experience were good, good air conditioning and lighting, the room is big enough for us to open all our luggage, but seems there could be more TV channels. Room service was really tasty. All staff are kind and nice, the transportation counter provided good help for me when I'm leaving.

The check in staff were very helpful and cannot be faulted. The the room itself was a good size and the amenities were generally good. It was the little things that niggled. The bed was on coasters and it kept moving from the wall. We felt like we were going for a ride! We ordered room service. It was a very busy time for the restaurant and the wait was reasonable under the circumstances. But my meal was lukewarm at best. No fault with the staff who were uniformly polite, efficient and friendly. And the brown colored bath rove. yeeks! These are small niggles. We were happy to pay for the convenience of the location of the hotel, its quietness and size of the room. If the small things were corrected this would be without doubt the best airport hotel in Europe.

This review is for the afternoon tea, served in the tea saloon.
Although reasonably priced, the quality and quantity of the food leaves much to be desired. In a party of three, we were served pastries that were not pastries and as the cakes were all different it was neigh impossible to share /try everything. What we did taste was quite bland.
The sandwiches were very specific and there was no option to swap one for another. Each person was served one of each type and that was it. All three of us ended up leaving something that we would have happily switched.
Good selection of teas, however the waiter who served us liked to talk up his own style on how he liked to serve them, but left out vital information like brewing times.
Overall a really disappointing experience.

Our first visit, and it's an excellent place to stay and worth spoiling yourselves, before you jet away. We needed a straight forward route to terminal 5 and this was it. We had extra luggage and the staff were so helpful, loading our trolleys and life was easy with the 10 minute walk to departures. We will definitely stay there again and get we there early to enjoy all the facilities.
