Pleasant experience overall with regards to check in, stay and checkout.
A bit bummed that the cable connections for mobile to TV were not available.
Improvements could be made to the spa offering which I thought was too expensive given this is a transit hotel and many guests would love to use it if was better priced with more travel appropriate services.
Perfect airport hotel if traveling through terminal 5. Great bar!
The hotel rooms, staff and restaurants were top quality as always. On this stay we had a small problem with the room in that the air conditioning would not turn off. I telephoned reception and within two minutes a maintenance man came to see if he could correct the fault. This was not possible so he contacted reception again and within ten minutes we had been moved to another room, We were extremely pleased with the fast and efficient service to our problem.Top marks and our thanks to all the staff involved.

Probably the best airport hotel I've been to. You may or may not like Sofitel as a brand and that is subjective. However I rate the overall experience very high for an airport hotel.
Even as luxury hotel I would rate it as good.
It is conveniently located at Heathrow terminal 5 with direct covered access to the airport
Always a fantastic stay. I keep coming back! Hotel is comfortable, modern and clean. First class service by all staff and especially Maihra at reservations who assisted with my enquires.
Excellent hotel; the best in the Heathrow area. Rooms are quiet-- very quiet-- and spacious and well-decorated, as well as spotless. Professional staff and if you are flying British Airways, it is the only place to stay, as it is actually connected to the terminal . Transfers to Terminals 3 and 4 are easy as well, as you can take the Heathrow Express for free for the 4 min it takes to go between Terminal 5 and those other terminals. Haven't tried the restaurant or gym, but expect to on my next stay, which is tomorrow.

The entire staff was truly helpful from check-in to check-out with helping with luggage and calling a taxi. The room was beautiful and the bed was comfortable! Everything fit for this Queen, Ms. Universal 2017!
A very keen receptionist was helpful, the beds were comfortable but I just wanted to get to my room after a 12 hour flight and could have done with less questions at the desk!
We always look forward to our stay at the Sofitel, it has felt like a home away from home on trips to London. On many levels this is still true, the accommodation and facilities are great.The welcome felt less than personal. On check in I was repeatedly asked if I wished to purchase breakfast even though I had already purchased the bed and breakfast option. I had to forward an email confirming this to the reservation team to "prove" that we were entitled to breakfast ,not exactly reassuring. No apology was offered after the long phone call either. I was asked about preferences on filling in the card at check in (more later) but not about my loyalty card. Despite making several personal requests to get a daily newspaper, we did not receive a paper on any of the days we stayed at the hotel. These are minor issues but in a world where loyalty matters it is simply not good enough. I would like to however acknowledge the team at breakfast who were on point with service and quality despite the overwhelming number of people there daily.
Love the hotel, very professional porters handle luggage in timely, pleasant manner. All requests were addressed immediately. The restaurant is always a pleasant surprise as it is much better than "hotel food". the beds are comfy, rooms quiet and the gym downstairs and wellness spa is amazing. Cappachinos at the coffee bar near the reception are lovely. Another great stay...only disappointment was during the BA debacle at the airport the hotel was totally full otherwise we would have stayed another night!
Only went to the restaurant but my son who stayed overnight with his wife and young daughter recommended it
The staff are always friendly and cannot do enough for you. Our bags were collected on arrival and when we entered our room they were there already. Rooms are clean, large and have a good range of Spa toiletries. The hotel could not be more convenient for the airport. Very easy to find too!

We have just stayed again in this hotel. I cannot praise them enough for their customer care and guest relations. We had a delayed flight and cancelled holiday. Taking refuge here to consider our options Shawn checked us in and lifted us when we were down. Feeling stronger this morning we are flying out for a week in Vienna and will return again soon.

With all of the hotel options around Heathrow airport, I would AVOID this hotel at all costs. I was stunned by the poor service, lack of cleanliness, and electrical problems which kept me up half the night. Throughout the night my hotel room lights would suddenly turn on and wake me up. This happened 3 times before I DEMANDED to change rooms. Each time my average wait to speak to the operator was over 10 minutes. NEVER AGAIN.

When I have a stopover in London, I always stay at the Sofitel. Its convenient, quiet and the service is excellent
I heard another couple talking about getting a taxi, as carparks are so expensive... I nearly said... but why not use Soffitels stay, park and fly.
Your holiday starts a day early... you get to havde a relaxing meal, good nights sleep, car parked safely and then fly off on holiday.
When you return you just go back to the carpark and there is your car.
Who wants a taxi!

Great service, good for lunch and a coffee. Handy to terminal 5 .. you can go up in the lift from reception and walk straight into terminal 5. Parking underground isn't particularly cheap, but they will discount it by 25% if you eat or stay there.
Inside the airport, very good option if you do not mind spending a little and you want to be close to the airport

No matter how good the experience of staying at the hotel is - it is highly off putting and frankly sickening to walk through the complete and utter stench of perfumed corridor that you hit as soon as you leave the hotel or the terminal to go to the terminal. It is truly disgusting and left me with streaming eyes and a cough for 5 minutes afterwards. Get rid of it please. It does NOT enhance the experience at all.
Check In male was far far too over familiar and thought he was humorous. We didn't think he was either and it would have been much nicer if he had been quicker and more efficient.
New beds and pillows are a good improvement on the old type used. Shame there is no complimentary water in the room considering how much we paid for the room.

Ridiculous small lift to get up to the next floor and then walk to another wing. Apparently no stair option either as when we tried to walk down them the fire exit door at the bottom was locked......???? Oh really ??? Wonder what London fire brigade would say to that Sofitel?
Everyone was very accommodating to us. Questions were answered and we were quite satisfied.
Everything good except the light switches! First of all could not get bathroom lights on, then I couldn't get them to turn off. Then in the morning same thing again. Thought I would be showering in the dark. But staff were great. Room comfortable. I have had other rooms with dodgy light switches here.
Only disappointment was (once again) Belle Epoque being shut 'because its a Bank Holiday'. Surely not in an airport hotel??
Fortunately your room service is very good. Would probably help other guests to know that any Vivre food can be ordered through room service.
Sofitel is a lovely hotel connected to Heathrow. Bed was comfy. Rooms are large, nice, and comfortable. Be aware though that it's at least a 30 minute trek to terminal 2 from the hotel.
Easy, lovely, fun, lux. We loved the bfast of fruit and yogurt in the little tea area!
1)Food Service too slow 2 nights in a row, even when we told them , to take away our dinner plates
2) #1 guest clothes were moved w/o permission and jacket was lost-stolen
3) Important guest from Asia gift was stolen from conference room during overnight maintenance- Very disrespectful
4) As a repeat business customer, we were shown no effort by the kitchen to accommodate our group
The hotel itself is a 5 / 5, however, the restaurant was a joke. I would certainly recommend the hotel, but the restaurant is definitely not a top restaurant. The butter chicken made me sick after having it.
The staff, both at the hotel and restaurant, are very kind.
Would I recommend this place? If you don't mind paying a premium and need to stay near the airport, then this is a top choice. Otherwise, look for nearby places.
Just fantastic. Great place to end the holiday before joining the long haul back to Australia. Do yourself a favour and add breakfast to your room options every taste is covered
This hotel seems understaffed: (1) Power went off - took about 4 hours to get room power working again (2) had to track down maintenance, was told someone would fix in 10 minutes, 3 hours later, I had to again ask front desk to send someone (3) no one answered the phones at the front desk multiple times (4) room service took about an hour longer to send food up then promised
The tills in the bar automatically added a table charge when you go to the bar and order your drinks. I call it an underhanded rip off of an inflated bar price.

It was easy once we were able to find it to stay here overnight for an early morning flight. The check-in line was long, but worth it. Very nice room and great bar and dinner.

Well, actually it is 4 stars everything but German, a guy at the bar and location make the place 5 star.
Stunning hotel just a few years old. Extremely comfortable rooms designed for the business traveler with rock solid fast Wi-Fi, numerous plug sockets and a large desk. Very quiet rooms with thick curtains so you are assured of being able to rest whatever your schedule.
Enjoy the top quality breakfast buffet and the fact you don't need to check out until noon.
Then just walk to terminal 5 for your flight or take the free heathrow express to other terminals.
I would never stay anywhere else at heathrow!

I always love to stay here, even if I am not flying but need to stay in the area. Great rooms, large and a big bathroom, very comfortable.
We usually stay here when flying from LHR 5. Again, a perfect stay. So easy to park up, check-in and stay. Rooms are comfortable and quiet. The hotel amenities superb and the staff professional. Leaving for the flight the next day is stress-free with just a shirt stroll in to the Terminal 5 Building.
Used hotel for car parking and over night stay before holiday flight. Staff were good room was quiet and very comfortable. Easy walking to terminal 5 made for a no stress airport journey. Thought food and drink a little pricey but have to expect that. Would recommend this hotel.
3rd or 4th stay now and despite a rather average experience last time where our wake up call never happened this trip was perfect. Superb room, wonderful dinner and 2 wake up calls and a knock on the door to check we'd woken up! Back to what you'd expect.
Connected to Terminal 5, we stayed here one night as a stop over. Easy to find and it's not too difficult to move between terminals to get to it (free train- just get a ticket from the machine or ask a member of staff for help) Hotel feels More

Enjoyable stay with a nice room.
We booked into the French Restaurant in the hotel and enjoyed a high class meal. Our son, who is a Chef, drove over from Oxford to join us for the meal.
I consider the hotel charges for parking short term are to excessive amounts and should be reviewed!!!
We had an amazing stay. Second time we spend the night at this hotel to take a morning flight the following day. Rooms are clean and spacious enough, and service was great, specially the person that helped us at breakfast!

Although the room was great and great all around service from the personal. We had electrical and air conditioning problems late at night. It was quite annoying but it wasn't resolved that night. Engineering couldn't figure it out. Then the next morning I had no electric in the whole suite. They had to come back a second time. This became even more disappointing. Got the electric back finally!I really didn't get chance to enjoy the room. Had to deal with these problems that weren't mine.
We chose the T5 Sofitel as we had an early flight to Geneva the next day. It was ideal preparation: the hotel is relaxing, luxurious and calm. We received a free upgrade (thank you!) and enjoyed our very spacious room. The French restaurant in the hotel is exceptional and well worth the price. Excellent staff.

Amazing, from checkin i was instantly served although there were a few other people checking in they had plenty of staff on hand. I was asked about room preference which was nice, and was given an upgrade to a beautiful, modern, clean room with anything that could be needed. 10minutes after arriving in my room the kind lady at the front desk called to ensure I was happy or had any questions.
Fantastic service for breakfast also.i will be staying here again, it made the 35hours of travel ahead so much less daunting.

The Sofitel London Heathrow Hotel has a pleasant atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and they will make you feel comfortable and relaxed. I had recently attended a training and it was fabulous. The food and the surroundings will make you stay longer and you don't feel like leaving.

A bit on the pricey side, but super comfortable rooms and its location couldn't be more convenient.
We had to overnight in LHR before catching our morning flight to Los Angeles. The Sofitel LHR was a welcome find. The location could not have been better. Beyond that, the service was superb! From the check in to the check out, the staff was attentive and professional. The room was elegant, and the everything about the bed was sublime!
Great hotel, great service. Sofitel is an oasis in the hustle and bustle of Terminal 5
Note: Please could you put "Reception" against the appropriate button in the lift between Sixt and Reception?
Also put "Spa" against the appropriate button int he lift between Reception and Spa?
That would make life easier for the traveller who does not know where Receptiom and Spa are.
