Proximity to T5 and overall room standard and value very good. Food very disappointing - fish and chips tasted pre-cooked. Luke warm, soggy batter and chips. A shame and nowhere near value for money. I was looking for a regular hop-off point for travel but...not so sure. I gave the receptionist the same feedback. Brief, superficial 'sorry sir' followed by 'use the same card to check out?' Didn't feel like real concern. I'm a 100+ night a year business traveller (mainly SPG) and this was way off. Your choice to follow up with me or not.
Perfect for airport stop over with all the facilities we needed - thank you !
Exquisite rooms and servive.
Stayed in a junior sweet and was very impressed by the room and servive from staff.
Huge comfy bed and plenty of space. Great idea to stay before a flight.
The only critique I have is that the tv screen in the bathoom is not at an angle to watch unless you are standing.
Very short, just one night to take a flight in the morning.
The attention at the hotel very good.
I think your beds have to be the most comfortable in the world! The quality of the sheets is also first rate. It is a good place for a single person to stay.
Great room. Friendly staff. Beds are very comfortable.
Travelling from Terminal 5 this hotel is ideally situated with just a short covered walk to departures. Very comfortable room
Very close to T 5 . Comfortable beds. Got the upgrade which included breakfast drinks & snacks in private lounge. Would stay again.
I have stayed here several times while travelling through Heathrow. The rooms are peaceful, comfortable and well equipped for an overnight stay. I enjoy your rooms and the staff are polite and efficient.
In future I will give your breakfast a pass and eat in the airport. My only negative is the breakfast buffet is expensive fast food and not appetizing.Price was not the issue...it was the poor quality.
I could not get a table for dinner,so no comment on that.
Large, mid- to high-end hotel attached to Terminal 5. Good option for a layover. Bedrooms are well appointed, meeting rooms are comfortable and reasonably priced. Some design idiosyncrasies: good food options but poor gym for a hotel this size, gift shop doesn't allow charge to room, lack of elevators for some wings.
This could be a lovely hotel, it has all the components to be five start. However, the level of little annoying things got to the point that I actually wanted to say something to the receptionist at checkout, however after waiting 15 minutes I lost the will. Upgrade your technology and make it simple for people who are tired to actually switch the freaking lights on or use you bloody lifts!
Decent enough venue and quality food. Had 2500 of us there and the staff managed fine with us all.
Very comfortable. No standard UK plug sockets near bed which was inconvenient
The flexible check-in time provided by dayuse allowed me to use the room early in the morning. All the staffs are friendly and helpful. I took a good rest there.
Good staff. Non-existent minibar, very few TV channels and ones included are just a Russian state propaganda outlets, hope for their to not be a wedding or other loud reception if you want to get some sleep.
Obviously convenient location, quality to be expected from Sofitel
The people were extremely warming, the service was amaizing and the attention was always a priority.
Conveniently located at Terminal 5, the room and bathroom were spacious, amenities were provided for (except for toothbrush and toothpaste)
Clean, modern. Extremely helpful staff. Quick service and reasonable food.
I was traveling for work and stay one night as a layover. It was a nice and comfortable hotel. Finding the direction to the hotel might be difficult, but it's very convenient if you have to travel the next day.
Stayed here once, and I liked the hotel, so i decided to make this hotel my main hotel when on business in the UK.
2 months ago, I was coming on business again...HOWEVER...almost immediately after booking/paying, it turned out my trip had to move 3 hours NORTH, and as such, needed to cancel. This was almost 3 weeks before my scheduled trip.
The main customer service line said that each hotel was different, and it would be "up to the hotel" to refund the money.
Well...
They refused.
NO CUSTOMER SERVICE with these people!!
They knew I would be most likely be coming back in 6 -8 months...yet they DID NOT CARE!
I lost around $1200...they lost me as a customer, as well as all my colleagues - PERMANENTLY!
TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!
They would have made MORE MONEY by simply refunding the original payment, as I would have continued doing business with them...but all THEY cared about was their immediate bottom dollar.
STAY AWAY!
Only stayed for 10 hours due to early flight and late arrival because of M25. Lovely room with super bed which I did not want to leave at 4.30am!
No in room note pad, no plug converter, no phone pick up at reception
Recently visited for a work event and there was plenty of space. Drinks were being served at the meeting point and food was served to the table. Overall good experience just a shame there was no A.C. working at the meeting point
Lovely rooms, nice staff and an amazing breakfast buffet. There are something for everyone
The staff are friendly and incredibly helpful. My room was beautiful with a very comfortable bed and a chair to relax in. The porter who brought up my luggage offered to set the temperature in my room to ensure my comfort. I decided to have room service and my meal was brought to me by a very polite gentleman who set my meal out and poured my wine. I had a very comfortable night's sleep and recieved my wake up call as requested.
I highly recommend staying with Sofitel.
The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. Check in early and my mother-in-law did not want to leave. Comfy beds, plush towels, decent internet and helpful staff.
We had booked spa package and afternoon tea. Not impressed in changing rooms with no dryer for swimwear. No plug point. SPA area was good however the steam room was not even working. Only got 2 hours of parking free. The body massage was ok but could be better.
I always stay at the Sofitel at Heathrow for numerous positive reasons.
Great hotel but far from the city which means that food options are limited
End of our honeymoon. We got an upgraded room free of charge after asking and the service was exceptional. Very nice and polite and accommodating as can be. Loved everything about it.
Excellent reception, service, and overall stay during a hectic period of travel. The Sofitel experience had a calming effect
Great place, right next to terminal 5, they've got a pool, Top of the line rooms. Soft towels and overall there's a premium feel to everything. Just skip the breakfast, it's low end buffet style and skipping would allow you to make better use of 20 pound per day. Last thing I want to see is a horde of people and even worse, kids. Touching prospective food that im supposed to consider eating. You'd do better going to Tea (located right next to the elevator) and ordering everything fresh made to order while sitting in more comfortable seating.
Excellent customer service - had to change a booking made in error for the wrong date and they were happy to do so, even though the T&C's said they didn't have to
Staff were very pleasant. Room has everything needed. Perfect for preflight stay.
I find the hotel well situated but with a few flaws. The food offerings are limited and on the high end side only. More variety would be good. In addition, we were staying at the hotel but taking off in Terminal 2 and needed assistance because one of us was disabled. I believe that the hotel staff really tried to find us assistance but there was a bad missed communication. While we were told that we would be picked up at the hotel entrance, the person who drove us from Terminal 5 to Terminal 2 said he was prohibited from picking people up at the hotel itself. It seems the hotel needs to do a better job of interacting with the service for handicapped people to provide accurate information and a helpful service. If we had not allocated a lot of extra time to get to the terminal, we might have missed our flight due to this lack of communication and information.
Great option for those who have a longer stopover to rest between one flight and another. Excellent breakfast, comfortable room, friendly staff, all within the excellent Sofitel standard. Highly recommend.
The only hotel (as far as I know) where you can walk to terminal 5. Takes about 5 -10 mins to get to the departure area. For an airport hotel is has a bit of character and the reception is friendly and professional. Parking is great also (no offsite moving of your car). Bar is good - be prepared to pay London+Airport prices! Breakfast great. Rooms nice and big and clean. Really a good experience if you are okay to pay a little more for the experience - it would be a nice start to a holiday and takes all the getting to the airport stress away.
This is a two star hotel at best. The hotel is difficult to find within the airport, the food is barely average, and it is understaffed. For a chain with such a nice reputation, this hotel is missing many amenities that should come with a four or five start brand.
The hotel was very unprofessional in the way they handled their guests. My bag was checked in at the cloakroom throughout the event that I was attending. The cloakroom left my laptop bag (laptop included) on the side of the room along with my jacket. Anyone could have walked up and taken my valuables. Very unprofessional, I will not be setting up an event here again.
Brilliant place. Especially for an airport hotel. Super easy to get to from any terminal. Great staff. Excellent rooms. Best buffet breakfast.
Very posh but didn't feel out of place, staff are lovely and the food was out of this world highly recommend
Very clean and comfortable hotel. Food is pretty good also. I will always use this hotel when flying from Heathrow.
Was pleasant and convenient. Food a bit pricy though.
Cozy, with dignity, with care. restaurants and rooms at a high level! There are not many hotels of the same level in England that can provide such comfort.
Individual approach in the restaurant: changed the dish, which was for me salty
Super practical ...
Nice rooms and good service ... Shuttle to Terminals.
It's a hotel handy for T5.. to me it's just an expensive bed handy for catching a red eye flight.
Very fancy and close to terminal 5, but probably expensive
Incredibly convenient, very friendly staff, well-appointed rooms. Not your typical airport hotel!
Lovely, clean, spaceous, well laid out room. Attentive, friendly staff. Problem free parking. Very relaxing stay :0)
Another stay here on the 15th February. This time we were flying the next day from terminal 5. Again a lovely room. Very clean. Very big and comfy bed. Lovely bathroom and a welcome gift of sweet treats. Breakfast next morning was in the French restaurant. Lots of lovely food to choose from. The staff were lovely and very helpful. British Airways have the brilliant facility to book you your luggage in at the hotel for your flight. Stress free. Amazing idea and service offered by them. Walk way from the hotel to terminal 5 is a pleasant walk. Again stress-free. Thank you all for a lovely start to our holiday in Bahrain.
It's always a pleasure to start at the Sofitel, even if it does mean another night away from home. This latest trip was more of the same, which means perfect service, excellent facilities and a good night's sleep on a comfortable bed. This time I was in an Executive room; these are larger than the Classic or Superior rooms, with a king size bed and better specified bathroom, but all rooms are fine for a single guest. Eating in Vivre was a change (I usually just snack in the bar) with some great ribs and good service again. Great facilities and great service is a simple formula, although one so many get wrong, but the Sofitel nails it every time - it's no wonder I keep going back.
Got off the plane. Had a beer. Got into a comfortable bed. What more can a person want.
After losing my plane, I booked a room in this hotel, clean place almost inside the airport, comfortable bed, large room.
Very nice hotel - Good service and good food in the restaurant
Nice rooms with easy access for quick layovers. Make sure you know the train layouts and be ready for some walking.
The room was lovely and the public areas were very impressive. Stephane on reception was very kind and professional when checking us in, as I was quite upset after a nightmare 24 hours travelling from USA. Our room was upgraded and we were given a voucher for a drink in the bar. Thank you Stephane & Sofitel.
Excellent Hotel. Clean, all great facilities, professional staff.
Stayed for one night so had no real experience but I enjoyed the bed as it was real comfortable.
Room was dark and the temperature in the room was real good. The close proximity to the airport made it perfect. Toilet/bathroom was large with shower and bathtub. Everything felt clean. The few things I noticed to be negative about was that the sheet had some tears in them. I did notice some minor details on my way from the reception to the room. But I felt they just show some lack of maintenance in other areas.
The stay was as usual, but the guest relations person at the Club Lounge is amazing. She remembered me from a previous stay when the receptionist gave me incorrect opening times and she provided outstanding service throughout my stay. She definitely went over and above the high standards of the Sofitel. I wish I had asked for her name, but she was amazing.
Hotel good for one day stopover in London. You will reach it in 10 minutes walk from terminal 5.
Kindly just offer complimentary dinner...it will go a long way to help boarders
I loved the Pilots career live event and I even got to meet captain Joe.
What a fantastic hotel. The staff and I mean everyone of them are attentive. The walkway across to the terminal with Train links to all other terminals. The room was top class and plenty of breakfast selection.
I needed to adjust my biological rythms before flying from London to Sydney. I was to arrive at 6 am and meet my wife before driving our caravan 500 km to spend the week birdwatching. What was more obvious than to chill out at the Heathrow Sofitel before a 9-30 pm flight! The room was comfortable..room service efficient and the food tasty. I managed to move onto and Australian schedule and got some work done during my stay before checking out at 4pm before my flight.
Certainly more than adequate and great for a layover at LHR. Note that it's quite a hike to T5, with international flights arriving at T3... you take the free subway to T5, and then walk about another mile or so. The same subway (for a cost) will take you to London (Paddington).
Great room and awesome sound deadening. The only down side of a great start was the air con in the room had been locked to 22C making the room feel like a sauna. Several calls to maintenance resolved this but it seems a strange thing to do in the first place. We met another family who moved rooms to try and get working ventilation. It would be good if the hotel stopped this strange policy of locking the controls.
Club M was closed due to the current situation but a replacement had been set up in the T room. The chicken teriyaki and onion bhaji were delicious, the olives and garlic were flavoursome and not over salty and the cheese was a buttery delight.
As good as the hors d'oeuvres were, the best was to come from Clive who was working in Club M. He managed the difficult job of delivering attentive service while also managing to appear from nowhere when he was needed.
We would definately stay here again.
Staff friendly, rooms clean and comfortable. Worth the money. I have been several times and it is always as good as the last time.
We were only staying one night in transit from our UK trip back home to France. The hotel is perfect location for us, as it is connected to Terminal 5, Beds are super comfortable, with what I call "shmooshy" linens. I love the large bathrooms, with separate shower, plenty of tea and coffee, and a great hairdryer.
Check in quick, receptionist very helpful. Staff very helpful.
Great place. Convenient, elegant, quiet, well staffed.
Was there as a stall holder for jobs fair. All staff very helpful. Nice place
Very comfortable clean professional. A walk away from your departure lounge
Your coffee shop (Manage?) Nalinga made sure that I get my sandwich on time, have a power outlet next to my table, even chased me down at the gift shop to tell me that my sandwich is getting cold. How can one man have so many qualities for a single retail customer?
I never met Nalinga before. But he will be the reason I will return to your hotel.
