The Smith Thompson pest control has been great . Very respectful by removing shoes and wearing a mask and friendly . We always have the same man so I appreciate the consistency. And our house is pest free so that makes me happy !
I have been using Smith Thompson Security for a few years now and they are great. When my alarm has gone off, I get a call quickly. I do test every couple of months just to make sure and they don't mind when you do.
I also use their Pest Control, which is great and they now have a web portal that shows the scheduling and info about your account.

We called to inquire about the most cost-effective way to hook up a our legacy Brinks system and have it monitored. Smith Thompson was the only company we talked to that didn't try to sell us on unnecessary equipment and lock us into an expensive 3-year contract. The team that came to install the new system was friendly, helpful, and timely. Our system works perfectly and the keypad is really easy to use. I just had my system installed to replaced a similar existing system. I was really impressed with the level of customer service. The tech was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and met every expectation. The system works as promised with a good internet and phone app interface. There's also no contract so I can cancel it anytime.

I have been a Smith Thompson security customer for over 10 years and in the past 2 years became a pest control customer. They obviously pay attention to the people they hire. I have never had a bad experience with a pest control person. They have always been polite, knowledgeable, friendly and timely. They have also come back out when needed when we had ants appear in between treatments (and they explained where they came from and why - but most importantly they ended the problem.) The security monitoring has also been a blessing that has given us tremendous peace of mind. They call to confirm/verify alarms immediately (luckily all false/my fault).
They advertise for cheap price, but any issue or problem or if the monitoring doesn't work technician fees to check is $60. And any repair or fixing of any wiring extra. Not sure of other companies do the same, but it's kind of hidden charge (they may say it's in contract) and bottom line, you get what you pay for.

When I moved out of my old house I had to pay a whopping penalty to ADT as it was part way through the contract. My new house had a deactivated ADT system but I was very reluctant to use them again. I read some good online reviews about Smith Thompson and their services, costs and "no contract" were exactly what I was looking for. I also noticed a lot of their signs in my new development which reassured me. They effectively and efficiently scheduled the appointment for my convenience, called to say they were on their way, completed the installation quickly and without disturbance to me (working from home) and courteously explained how to use it and the App. I get everything I had with ADT but at less cost, no contract and most importantly with friendly people I can trust to look after me.

Replaced ADT with Smith Thompson for home security alarm. Jeff, the installer, came out yesterday to install new system. He was professional, courteous, on time, and was happy to answer all questions. The installation he did was great. Removed the ADT control panel and carefully placed the new control panel so as to cover the hole left in the wall after removing ADT. Jeff is a keeper! Expecting that Smith Thompson will be as well! When they came out to turn on the existing system in the our new home they thoroughly explained how the alarm worked and took time to make sure everything was functioning as it should (and didn t charge anything for this activation visit!). This company is fine when your alarm is working. However, you get what you pay for. Since the service is so cheap, they cut corners on their staff. If you have any problems whatsoever, the Smith and Thompson people are very unprofessional. When our alarm went out this summer, I contacted S&T. One of their technicians called and said he had no answers other than to check out the outlet, so I did. It was fine. I also replaced the battery and AC adapter (something their Technician never even mentioned, which shows just how well trained these guys are lol). However, the alarm still did not work due to their wireless modem being inoperable. After S&T sent me a bill, I informed them I would not be paying for an alarm service where the alarm was inoperable. When I told them I would resume staying with them if they could get their wireless modem to work, I was informed that my account was not to be reactivated. I still have their modem, which apparently does not work. However, how hard is it to swap out a wireless modem? Apparently too hard for Smith & Thompson.
