Nice and comfortable. We were in a double room facing one of the many courtyards. It is on the beach but you may have a little walk depending on where your room is located. We had a view of the beach in the distance. We were located where the pool and bar is in the conference center building. You get lounge chairs with the resort fee which is nice but you will have to pay a $20 a day umbrella fee if you want shade. The beach seemed very quiet, not as busy as the end where the public access is located. They have a few hammocks around. It has a lot of wasted space but bathrooms everywhere. Not a big fan of the city itself but would stay again if I were there.

Front desk staff was very rude. Check in is at 4 yet my room was not ready til 7. There was no housekeeping. No microwaves. Fridge barely worked. The best part about this place was the beach and the Rum runners.
We decided to have our wedding here. From start to finish everything was wonderful. Check in was quick and easy, a bell hop came to my car in the parking lot to assist us. The view was fantastic. The few minor issues were smoothed out quickly by the wonderful staff who was always ready to help.
The event planning was so easy and was flawless thanks to all the wonderful work from Amanda. She made sure every detail was ironed out well in advance and was readily available to answer any questions I had.
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay there's plenty of activities on the beach. They have jet ski and kayak rentals you can take a tour boat that takes you out to see the dolphins. Our room was nice and clean with a TV and internet access. A full size refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. There's plates, bowls, and coffee cups in the cabinets. They even give you dish washing liquid.
Was told check in time was 4p was told we would get a phone call or text when room was ready never did. Did not get a room till 6:00 was not the room we requested.
My husband and I had a lovely stay at Sirata! Waking up to a peaceful view of the ocean and white sand was wonderful! The pool area was fun and lively and the complimentary beach lounges were the perfect place to relax in the sun (or shade)! We enjoyed getting a drink at Rum Runners along with the live entertainment at night. We would definitely stay here again! <3
Best drinks ever. With all the amenities, you don't have to leave the property. The Queen suite was clean and comfortable with an amazing view. The staff seems to love there job and it shows. Thanks for a pleasant time.
Has been a great stay. Clean room great food and everyone is so nice. I came with my mom for her conference and enjoyed being able to relax and enjoy myself.
They only clean your room every (4 days sand everywhere ! Not cleanest rooms! also the prices you pay 42,50 a day for resort chairs ! yes that s only two lawn chairs ! No Umbrella Resort fees don t include it ! I was quoted $2000 for the seven days and then it end up being $2900.00 Also when they tell you the cabanas free no you have to pay $60 a day for the beach chairs out there ! if you want to lawn chairs they re free ! that s if there s any left ! never did find one ! Went to the front desk to complain they didn t even care ( no towels! She is always empty ! Rooms old run down!! Oh yeah they only put coffee in your room every four days! But they ll sell it to you for $$ Next time I ll go back to the plaza next store! there cabanas are free every day!
Nice resort located right on the beach and next to many other 5 star resorts and restaurants. Have been going here since the early 2000's and they finally just started to remodel this year. The access to the other pool is cut off because they are doing the remodeling but they did offer a free night for when it's all remodeled. Free breakfast passes werw given to us and there are also free drinks after a certain time, bingo, trivia poolside daily, a lot of stuff to do. If only they had bigger toilets though. We'll probably be back in the future.
Awesome resort, super friendly staff! Kid friendly! Love the fact that it had 3 choices of food and drinks on the spot! Beautiful beach pool, the bonfires were the cherry on top! I miss it already!!!
This was my 7th time and I was okay with the resort except for NO room cleaning! To add to that they charged a room service fee at the check out! This has soured my taste for this resort and it saddens me because they used to be my favorite get away! Sorry sirata!
Sirata s room floors were not washed when entering the rooms. On the decks to overlook gulf and pools there is a bar that makes it uncomfortable to look at the incredible views. Aside from the rooms the resort is clean and has easy access. Pools are warm and hot tub is great temperature. Beach towels are provided at a location that is nearby both pools. The beach is clean and Rum Runners and Harry s have great options for drinks. I would go back to Sirata if staying in St. Pete again.
This is the perfect spot for a staycation. It offers the beach, 2 large pools and gated child play area with a water spray area. Harry's and Rum Runners Bar and Grille are an added bonus for food and cocktails.
It's a nice place to go for a staycation, but it's run down and outdated. I wish the second time around would be better. The beach is amazing but the rental of an umbrella for $20 is a little pricey. The food is alright a side of anything will cost you $5 just be ready. The breakfast is avg at best. We'll pass on returning here.
Very nice Beach resort. Has all the amenities you need. No need to leave the resort for food and drinks. We stayed in the farthest north busing which could use a little updating however the rest of the resort is still very nice and deserves 5 stars.
Racial Profiled... we had children in our party and were told we couldn't move a chair closer for our children due to social distancing.. but the family directly in front of us did the same thing and Management did nothing other than get rid of the single chair next to them so no one else would notice they had moved it.. disappointed in our favorite resort..
I am currently staying at this hotel. Today, there was an incident where my money was stolen from my wallet, which was located in my room. I spoke to security and the front desk and everyone I spoke with acted so nonchalant, as if this is the norm here. I was asked to do an incident report and police report, which I did. I am now trying to cancel my stay and no one is available to approve my cancellation.. since I booked through a third party.. how convenient. I will NOT stay here again.
Had a great week here, and would recommend to others. The pools, hot tub, games/activities, location and generally friendly staff. Please make pool side bingo last longer than 3 games it s on the schedule for an hour and we re done in 10 minutes. Great way to win free drinks!
The only issue I had was with the housekeeping and them not stocking towels, trash bags, coffee/cups, and other items each day. I talked to the front desk twice about my concerns but housekeeping still wasn t able to deliver even with specific instructions. It s an older hotel/resort so don t expect things to be squeaky clean with no signs of wear.
All things considered I would come back to the St. Pete Beach area again, and would consider staying here.
The food prices were approximate for the other areas around. The amount and selection was good. Beach was very clean. Housekeeping should have been better.
The crowds are back and staff trying to keep up with new routine with COVID. Parking lot is full all the time so overflow has to park across the street somewhere. Probably an issue because guests who aren't staying can park at the resort for $15 per day. Elevator out of service but one that was available was very slow and HOT with no fan or A/C. As a retired couple we tried to get a dip in the pool. Rowdey adults left drink cups all around the pool and a man ate an ice pops dripping it all over his belly and into the pool. Guess I am just not accosted to such a crowd. To be fair, I have been there several times and it was better those times. Not feeling inclined to return any time soon.
Place was great, food was pretty good along with service. There's never any luggage carts available that was one my biggest issues other then that great stay.
Sandar was the lady who checked us is she was amazing.
Was only working there today, so I can't comment on the rooms. The breakfast was less-than-stellar, and the staff was very gracious to comp the meal. They really didn't have to do that. All staff that I met and interacted with were extremely friendly and helpful they went out of their way to do things for the people in my business. :-)
Very Uncomfortable, rooms small, no privacy for four people to move, floor dirty when we got there, could not even dress unless we went in bathroom. Men had to shave in alley way. Coldn't even luggage buggy in between bed & tv console. House keeping nonexistenant told us ever four days. Ridiculous! . No microwave. We did address the issues. We had to ask for extra towels, coffee we told front desk are floor was dirty when we got there. No one seemed to give a hoot. Cricket in room. we should have received all three nights tax fees. And only two were given and that's pretty cheap. Someone manager was to call me and till this day no call received. No one should even think to stay at Sirata resort. It is not a resort!! I understand there's a new part which is nice. But we must have been in the OLD part! Crummy!!
Sirata is a terrific hotel resort. It's not the Ritz, but it isn't priced that way either. Very nice pools, awesome location, friendly and attentive staff, good food, comfortable room. It exceeded our expectations and we expect to go back.
This is just that 3 stars. Service and rooms are 2 stars, beach, pools and view are 4 stars.
Rooms are dated, mine was not cleaned daily, had a large water spot in ceiling tile that kept getting bigger. Service was as close to horrible as it can get. All staff was friendly, but when it takes 45 minutes consistently to get served at the 2 beach front restaurants, thats a problem.
We were there for a wedding and honestly it was a lot of fun, but overpriced.
Kim at check in was beyond rude. No help getting bags to room. Luggage rack to move bags was falling apart and very difficult to steer through the narrow hallway. Furniture old and out dated and not well kept. Room smelled like mold and concentrator in room was full to top with filthy water (which we had to empty). Bathroom dirty with blood or something else on wall and shower curtain ( I took pics) and handles in bathtub were falling off. No help from any staff. Ice machine quite a hike from room. Way over priced for what you get. This should not be listed as a resort as you could get a nicer room for a better price at Motel 6. Very disappointed.
Our room looked nothing like the photos on their website. Water in the rooms was undrinkable. Furniture was stained and wallpaper and paint was peeling. Charged a daily "resort fee," but the only amenity we received was Wi-Fi. The beach was the only redeeming factor-- perfect for families.
The rooms were nice and the beach was well kept and welcoming. The beverage truck that runs along the beach was a great touch. There's a trolley bus stop right outside the hotel which makes travelling around St Pete's easy.
Some things I wish were changed: The maid service for the rooms was sub par. They would only come once a day, which is fine, but would fail to leave important amenities like dishwashing soap and on one occasion, forgot to leave our towels. Kim (who works in the lobby) can be a little difficult to deal with, but the rest of the lobby staff seemed welcoming and kind. It's a nice hotel, but I will be trying another location next time.
Great room. Great view. Free parking. Beach loungers. Great pools. Great bars and food. Free drinks from 6-630. Beautiful beach. What more could you ask for!! I will definitely stay at the sirata again!
Was there for a job fair and do believe the interview with Terry went well.I am hoping that it leads to employment.Staff were friendly and grounds very well kept.Compass Grill where the job fair was held is a nice restaurant.
We have stayed at the Sirata previously, but this stay was different, very different.
When we arrived in our NEWLY REMODELED room we were a disappointed, as we were in building 4 on the north side of the hotel, far away from everything . . . because there was so much construction going on. The room was a nice size with a bedroom, bathroom, and a sitting/dining area but the front door opens into the bedroom and not the seating area. We found this weird. Also, the sink is outside the toilet area, which is okay, but I prefer to wash my hands before having to touch a door knob. We also had a balcony, if you could call it that, you could not even fit your foot onto it? We called the front desk and were told Queen Suites do not have balconies and that we should have booked the Executive Suite. It would have been nice to know that prior to booking, we would have chosen a different room. The toilet also broke!
We decided to not let the French Balcony or weird front door get in the way of a well needed vacation. As we started to bring in our luggage and put stuff away we noticed the ceiling fan was about to fall off the ceiling. It was working but wobbling in an unstable way. The ceiling fan is right above the pull-out couch, so we were concerned that it would fall on us in the middle of the night. Then we noticed the coffee table also severely wobbled, almost to the point of being a small see-saw, seriously (see picture). We called the front desk again and they sent a maintenance man to fix the ceiling fan.
We then noticed a large clump of hair in the corner of the room, it looked like it had been swept into the baseboard, it was gross (see picture). At this point, one of us had to use the restroom and noticed the towel bar was jerry-rigged with paper towels or toilet paper (see picture) and when we touched it (not sure why we did that) it completely fell apart and came out of the wall. We told the maintenance man not to worry about fixing that, we really didn t want him in our room that long. He was friendly and did an excellent job fixing the ceiling fan. In the kitchen area there as a large cutting board and you really do not want to know how dirty it was underneath. I won t bore you with the details. Just don t move the cutting board if you go there.
Restaurants/Food It was early evening and we were all hungry, so we decided to eat at the Compass Grill. It was a nice restaurant with white table clothes. We decided to eat in the bar area as we all felt a little under-dressed and there were no other customers in the restaurant (we should have known). The bartender was our waiter, however, every time we asked him for something he let out a large sigh , like we were interrupting his day or something. Seriously, I ordered an alcoholic drink and he gave everyone water except me and when I asked for a glass of water he SIGHED loudly and walked away. He did come back with the water but the whole service was weird.
Breakfast It was early morning and beautiful, so we decided to all eat outside. Oh my goodness, the food and the service was horrible. I think when you order at Rum Runners the servers go inside to the buffet and get the food of it. My rye toast was chewy, like it had been sitting around awhile and I could tell my scrambled eggs had been cut from a larger batch of scrambled, they were not cooked to order. The server might need to rethink her career choice.
We partied both nights at Rum Runners, there were about 40 of us. Service is almost nonexistent unless you sit at the bar. You must go to the bar to get a drink and then you are ignored for a while, told to wait a minute, while you see one employee watching the TV screen, they other two trying to figure something out at the register.
Vacations are important, it is a time for rest relaxation, great food, and good friends. The owners and staff may want to revisit their business plan and adjust a few things.
Very UPSET have reservation for this weekend have contacted several times to reschedule my reservation (not even cancel) because of hurricane Dorian and they REFUSE to work with me! Unbelievable, my first time at this highly recommended resort and truly what a disappointment. I even reached out to Kevin Snyder, the manager on duty and nothing. I DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.
At best a motel. If you are looking for a place that follows any type of CDC guidelines of social distancing, cleaning this isn t the place for you. Severely over crowded pools, smoking at the pools, absolutely not one person cleaning anything not even the tables you eat on, this is place for you. There is no house keeping service. Your room trash and dishes over flow. Luckily we had a new room. Our room can with ripped sheets stained with machine grease and other stains. The bar manager at Rum Runners was the rudest person ever. I feel sorry if you have plans to stay here. Bring your sheets, cleaning products and towels. This place is a dump.
Friendly staff, lots of things to do. We were upgraded from a queen room to a king suite. Very nice oversized room. Not 5 star quality, but nice clean room. We would definitely stay again.
This place looks good on the pictures but it us complete dump, Starts with outdated rooms, broken showers, understaffed restaurants and bars, and very rude personal!! Hope Paul is reading this, This establishment is going down fast, Will go into details on trip advisers, .... Just got kicked out of our cabana that we paid for, I asked for 5 min to pack my 2 year old, the guy said Im cant do so and literally kicked me out and start pulling my matres and the cover!! What kind of service is this!? Wouldn't recommend!!! Go somewhere else...
We checked in and our room was dirty it had cockroaches. I was told they would clean it again. Don't expect clean sheets either. They couldn't keep up with the demand of towels and wash cloths. My husband waited 45 minutes for a wash cloth. They didn't seem to care. It was always I'm sorry. It's out of control...we will never stay here again. You couldn't even give us a better room. Maybe you should've offered us some of our money back. You tell everyone the same thing how sorry you are but, don't act on anything negative. Please don't waste your money here. I 'm not a angry person. I feel bad for anyone who invests there money here and get a bad experience like my husband and I did. The room was disgusting.
Had reservations for another resort. Came down a day early and picked Sirata because resort I was going to was full day before. Service at Harry's bar was very slow. No sense of urgency. The 2nd bartender made batch recipes of drinks while 7 people stood in line. Later that evening went into the little convenience store on property. The lady could not have been more ignorant. What I ordered was a different price than what was rung up. When I mentioned it I was told oh well that's what it rings up. After I said I didnt want it I was told that I needed to wait for a manager to refund me. Once the manager arrived the lady sat behind him and rolled her eyes at me. When I ask if there was a problem, the manager reply was buddy calm down I'm getting you your money back. The only reason not 1 star was the next day before we left we went to Compass. The food was really good, the service from Grace was outstanding. Very friendly, helpful and genuine. What confuses me the most is the restaurant was very on top of social distancing and gave single use condiments and was perfect. At Harry's the said bartender wasnt even wearing his mask. Overall, it was a nice place just think there are some bad eggs working there. Below is pic of bartender, just take it off if you are going to wear it that way.
Beds are soft, room is clean, dog friendly and staff is exceptional. They text after you have settled into your room to see if you need anything. They even recommended a restaurant for us.
Beautiful location. Attentive and welcoming staff. For the size of our group all meals were amazing and very well served. Buffet breakfast was always hot and fresh with plenty of options. Lunches were served quickly and efficiently and the dinners were amazing. Weather was gorgeous. Beach was amazing. Cant find a single problem with the several days we spent at this resort.
Hotel could use some updating and freshening up. I wouldn't consider "resort" to be an apt description. I had a 'traditional room' which unfortunately overlooked the front parking lot and Gulf Blvd (and noisy motorcycles all the time). Bathroom is kind of ratty, peeling paint on the door, and mold in the corners, plus shower is not tall enough to wash your hair unless you're under 5'2". On the plus side, the beds are super comfy and most of the staff is very nice (one bartender at Rum Runners not so much).
We came during Thanksgiving week 2020. (That includes taking precautions during pandemic) for anyone coming during the pandemic; note there will be no room cleaning at all! We had to ask for new towels and a kind housekeeper swept the floor once after my kids spilled snacks. Apart from that; we didn't have a good experience. Our room door didn't work properly, our keys didn't work half the time, bathroom door got stuck once, the food service was extremely slow and unkind. The beach was beautiful and the pool was nice.
We stayed in the hotel for a family trip. We enjoyed it a lot because we had the beach right there, but, there were a few things we dislike about the place. Customer service is not the greatest, you don t feel welcome. Even though the parking lot it s huge, It s kind of difficult to find a parking spot. they have three buildings and you might have to walk 10-15 min to get to your room. We cannot say the room was 100% clean since we found a cockroach in the bathroom. Late check out has to be requested on the same day you re checking out (not in advance as any other places) and when you request it, they block your room s card before your check out time.
Would I come back as a hotel guest? No, but I d go back to enjoy the pool and beach.
I stayed for 3 nights and the bed had big dips in it and was very uncomfortable. I walked by housekeeping and saw an old mattress that looked dirty on the floor. I felt like I had bugs crawling on me. I left one night earlier and was not given a refund. It was so cold in my room and I would adjust my thermastat and even at one point turned it off but air conditioner keep blowing cold air. The view of st Pete beach was wonderful. I will never return due to lack of cleanliness. Oh, and the elevator was broken and had to climb 6 flights of stairs. Would not recommend.
we have stayed here before and had an experience good enough to go back. We booked it months in advance and even called the day before to confirm our room since we were traveling with a 2 and 12 yr old. We requested a pack-n-play several times the months before arrival. After checking in, we got to our room to find it was not the Family Suite we booked, but a regular King room. So no bunk beds and no pack-n-play was taken to the room for us. I went back to the front desk and was told the Family were not available and they had known for several days. I was told buy the front desk that if we didn't like it we could check out and go somewhere else! We were also told they had a shortage of pack-n-plays and may not have one for us. This was the worst customer service EVER. They should've told us on the phone or at check in that the room we booked months ago wasn't available and not try to sneak it by us. If it was just my wife and I we would've gone somewhere else, but with 2 kids after a long plane ride we felt stuck. We will never go back. Never had an experience like this before.
Room Smelled horrible, had baby roaches everywhere, dirty stained towels, shower had hair where someone shaved and wasn't cleaned and an opened beer in the freezer from previous guest. Do not recommend. Embarrassing to call it a resort.
Our first time at Sirata Resort and will be back years to come! This is a beautiful resort! When you enter the Lobby to check in they make you feel so welcome and are very helpful with getting you signed in and comfortable. The standard suite is big and has a sitting area along with a desk and 2 full/queen beds. There is a flatscreen smart tv that allows you to access plenty of cable channels. There is a small closet with hanging areas for your clothes or dressers in the room to place your clothes in. As you pass thru the closet you enter a nice bathroom with a full tub and shower! You have a small kitchenette with along of a table and chairs, microwave and full size refrigerator, so if you want to purchase a few groceries from the local Publix which is literally 1 1/2 min down the road. You can also choose to eat at Harry s Bar/Grill or Rum Runners Bar/grill. They both have amazing food and service and you can relax and have a drink or eat a meal overlooking the ocean! The resort has everything you could possibly need or want, outside you have multiple swimming pools and by the pool you have fire pits that has swinging chairs to relax in. I could literally go on and on as this is by far one of the best resorts I ve ever stayed at while on vacation!! Check it out for yourself you will not be disappointed!!
It's a really nice hotel when my cousins came to visit this is where they stayed and it is a beautiful hotel! Very pricey though but it seems worth the money. Walking distance of a beach too.
A little disappointed so far... we just got here, 4 rooms party of 16. Our room has a broken bathroom door, the resort restrooms are pretty dirty, the front desk person was horribly rude, the beach loungers and umbrellas were all taken and we had pretty poor service at the Compass Grille. Rum Runners was great for lunch today and our server was great. Hopefully tomorrow gets better. For the money we spent, I hoped for a nicer resort.
Family friendly and you will find a lot of different activities to do with the family! The resort fee should have more things included with it but the location is prime
The hotel, beach and the bars are awesome but it feel like a retirement are since most of the people are seniors or elderly couples . Not many local restaurant or bars open late due to covid-19. But overall experience was great. Go for the parasailing ($84 per person for an hour. Picture (additional $40), tax and tips are not included
Disappointed with the service. We booked the hotel for 3 day and this place didn t provide us any costumer service at all. We had to wait in line for more then 3 hour just to check in, no room service provided, and still getting charged the full resorts fees. At the end we tried to dispute the charges but no one would respond to us.
Our family stayed here several years ago before the remodel. The room at that time was still clean. We were traveling with very young children the location was great to walk to a store to get food etc. Playground on the beach which our children loved. One minus was the pool were cold. We plan to visit again.
My first room was not so great, the hotel staff was perceptive to my concerns and upgraded me to a much nicer room. I will stay here again with this level of service!
Very satisfied with our spacious room, the bar and pool area, and beautiful beach with complimentary lounge chairs. They were doing some construction right outside our room, but it didn t bother us. Looking forward to coming back when everything is finished!
Third time at this hotel. Absolutely love it here and will be back again. Clean rooms and very friendly staff. The beach is clean and goes on for miles. White sands. They have two pools and a splash pad for kids. The have water sports and live music each night. Lots of shells on the beach. Located near a lot of restaurants and not far from local attractions. If you like boats I would suggest the dolphin speed racer located in St. Pete. Saw lots of dolphins. It was a good time. Will be back again!
Rooms were okay. The sliding glass door to the room didn't exactly close securely, but we were several floors up, so no worries about it. Excellent access to the beach. Rum runners had tasty cocktails!
Room was dirty, roaches in the kitchen. Broken TV. The room smelled like cigarettes and weed. Front desk staff is extremely rude and unprofessional. The food is mediocre and the service at every restaurant here is EXTREMELY slow. If you don t get a menu yourself and tell the staff where you are sitting they do not know you exist. Totally disappointed.
Its was our 5yr wedding anniversary and it was so beautiful and perfect the room was perfect...the restaurants and the beach access..they were always checking on us to see how we doing.. we definitely will be going back professional and courteous staff.
We stayed for a weekend from 6/1 to 6/4. We booked our trip a few months ago and were very nervous about the construction noise/debris reviews and even contemplated a change of plans because of them. Now, I will start off by saying, I don t know what kind of people have been writing said complaints... we can only assume they fall into the same category as Bridezilla s! We didn t hear any construction and there was certainly no construction debris anywhere. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a very pleasant young lady (I can t remember her name but she had some swelling around her right eye like she had been in an accident). She was very thorough, polite, informative and answered our questions with confidence and a smile. The lobby was nice and clean, we only wish there were cocktails there for our walk to the room. Speaking of room, it was not what we expected. It was beautiful and very clean. Obviously a recent renovation; A mini-suite with a queen bed upon entry, enter a hall with a large vanity counter top and ginormous mirror then into the living/kitchen area with a super comfy couch (turns out it was a pull-out/sleeper couch) a small dining table, toaster, microwave, coffee maker w/coffee and a full size fridge (this was excellent, given there is a small market across the street so we could stock up on assorted beverages). We made our way to Rum Runners and were greeted by Dominick. His sense of humor was right up our alley with a very island-time attitude which is what we were looking for. He was very accommodating, polite, friendly and very funny. We had a great opening night. We did order the Conch Fritters and I was a little disappointed with them. A bit on the doughy side although the flavor was nice but they were just really, heavy. Must not have minded them too much cause we ate them! In fact, over the weekend we ate a lot off their food items and overall, the only hiccup were the fritters. Adult bevs are just that so I won t talk of the cold brew and stiff shots. We did go to the beach. WOW!!! It was absolutely breath-taking and gorgeous!! As far as you can see, it was blue sky, blue water and white sand! We walked for hours and met people and swam and relaxed. It was perfect! For giggles we even did a cabana thing early Sunday morning and Chad was awesome!! Apparently, the young kids who work the beach hadn t showed up yet but there he was.. probably in his 50 s, busting his hump, setting things up, out of breath but by God, he was as pleasant as could be and was super-nice. We even hunted him down at the end of the day to tell him thank you for the service he gave us early that morning. All in all, we had a weekend to remember! Everything was perfect and we want to thank all the staff who made our stay extraordinary and having us already planning a return trip to see the property when their facelift is complete. Thank you Dominick, Troy, JC (Jo Carol) Angela, Robert, Chad and Ryan for giving us a weekend of phenomenal service and always treating us like we were darn-near royalty. A bit of advice for all those high maintenance reviewers, read a book on Island Time and bring that mentality with you. It s not about hurrying up to eat and run to the pool and run here and there. It s about stopping, taking a breath, sticking your toes in the sand, splashing in the water and leaving you cell phone in your room. The world won t end if you don t take a business call and start talking shop on a family or romantic trip. Enjoy it and absorb it. You ll live longer and be much, much happier. Thank you Sirata for giving us such a great weekend and we ll see you soon!
Rooms not that great, holes in comforter. No towels were left, found hair, I swear, on everything (not mine) Noise level was loud, you could hear everything going on outside. The wait times for all three on site restaurants were ridiculously long, very obvious it was under staffed. The food was all the same, coming from the same kitchen, for all three restaurants. Mix drinks were very weak. The only positive was the beds and pillows were very comfortable and our ac blew cold! This was a one time visit for us.
First, to be fair I did not actually stay at this resort. And I will NOT for these reasons...My review is based on the POOR customer service or lack there of. I called this morning to make a reservation for this evening and the next however, my plans changed. Not even 3 hours later I called to cancel my reservations (before the 4pm cut off) but was told it wasn't within the 72 hour policy and could not be refunded without approval from a manager. Not possible to meet 72 hour deadline (not discussed at time of reservations) for same day bookings. Needless to say, I spent over 2 hours trying to reach said manager who sent me to the reservation manager who conveniently doesn't work weekends. As far as I know reservations happen 24/7 and no one can assist on the weekends?? I spoke with several staff who all told me a different story. Be aware that when booking, the staff you are speaking with are not at this facility and they cannot help you with similar issues. In the end, the front desk "manager" had a reservation staff call me back that could do nothing for me. He kept saying you need to speak to the manager. Ridiculous!!
I don t normally rate hotels or anything because I am a very easy person to please when it comes to taking a vacation. This hotel had a great pool and beach area. The bar was great even though the service with ordering food was excellent slow. I honestly had a great time outside of the room. The main reason I m giving such a low rating is because 2 days into our stay we found roaches in our room. Even after complaining and talking to the Glen two times we still weren t given any discount. I also did not see anyone come clean our room. Our bedding was dirty & the floor & the tub. With the amount I spent on the room to have roaches & come home to find a live roach in my suit case & I got hives from sleeping in the bed. I would definitely never stay in this hotel again. I even called when after I flew home to try & talk to a manager.
Regardless of what they say, they do NOT have a kids club. I called them and asked and they said they did but when you get here it s only when it rains . They are also next to a place that has a raging party every night that you can hear from inside your room. It actually sounds like a fun place if they could accommodate a kids club. Really disappointed in the lack of activities for kids here. Right next door is Tradewinds. They have a gigantic water slide, more water activities in the water, kids club, babysitting service and tons of stuff to do for kids. If I ever come back here, I ll be staying there.
Nice resort. Clean room. Great service. One complaint is cold food. This is across the the two places. Each place I have had lunch or dinner I received cold food. Maybe something better than the room service covers?
Check In was very slow, rooms clean, food average, most of the staff professional. My biggest disappointment is with beach services, young men too much in a hurry to end the day. I spent $60 on a cabana and when the winds picked up a little they closed my cabana and pretty much ruin the day.
