Nice rooms, however my phone didn't work and there...
Nice rooms, however my phone didn't work and there wasn't much sound insulation in the walls. Clean and the food was good. Good location; a short walk from a lot of good night life.

Very nice location next to downtown Chandler, grounds are nice however they are going through various renovations so some parts are in needof work still, but overall friendly service, breakfast buffet was really gold, overall enjoyable stay
Came here for a work function. Very nice environment, staff and time. The hotel was full unfortunately so we had to stay somewhere else. Bummer.
The bartender was super friendly and made strong drinks
This is a great property to visit, I've stayed at this location several times. If you are planning to stay at a property next to the airport, it is worth the drive to stay at this resort.
This hotel was built in 1913, it's amazing how well they have kept it up. Had a great time
Food great, pool very nice. Rooms are nice, bed a little hard. All the staff is friendly and very helpful. We are going back in July since we had such a nice weekend.
Beautiful place and comfy beds. Despite posted signs stating that they promise not to disturb u for housekeeping before 10am they will disturb you. I was awaken twice (9am and 10:30am) by housekeeping. I explained both times that I wasn't planning on checking out early. I reported that I planned on checking out at the checkout time posted 12:00pm noon. I reported the issue to the front desk, Natalie, who was only able to waive the $15 resort fee since I pre-paid using Groupon. I reported the incident to IHG who owns the property who responded with an apology. That's $140 and lost sleep I'll never get back. Bathtub was backed up too by the way. It was disgusting to have to shower with water to your ankles after turning off the shower.
From the looks of it, this seems like a pretty nice place to stay. It's around the corner from several eateries and a few pubs, so there's plenty of nightlife entertainment nearby.
Despite the age of the property, the room was clean with a great view. I was there for professional development and the service was great.
Absolutely a great place to stay. Very friendly staff. Very quiet and room was clean and well supplied.
I loved the way that it was 30 min from everything and walking distance frin food and drinks
It was the perfect place to stay the night of a nearby wedding. We also took a lot of pictures there. It's a world-class Resort
Didnt stay here just met some friends from out of town staying there. The rooms did look nice.
Went for Mother's Day brunch. Food was horrible and super expensive. Will never go back.
I visited this hotel as part of a wedding party. The rooms were all very nice and the property overall met expectations.
Tom was clean and check-in was fast. Its location is the best.
Excellent property. Spacious, comfortable, in the middle of the action.
The Arizona Classic Jazz Festival had the best event ever thanks to the attentiveness of the hotel staff. Everybody exceeded service expectations. I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for event space.
Hotel is in perfect location, right in downtown Chandler. Walking distance from a lot of nice places. Hotel itself is dated with some updates. First room smelled like smoke, second room was okay. Not high end but nice. Would stay again.
Stayed on a few occasions over the years when visiting Chandler before moving here. Swimming for the kids, golf for me, and shopping for mom.
Great location in Chandler, 30 min from airport, lots of restaurants around. Wedding ceremony locations are beautiful. Rooms were comfortable and clean
Love this hotel, just needs some updating. Great location, lots of history!
Good venue for a professional or social event. Plenty of parking. Well maintained facility with a lovely setting and nice atmosphere. Good location in downtown Chandler, surrounded by lots of options for dining.
My first night here, out of 5, and I am already ready to run away. Someone left hair in the bathroom, and room service didn't care. They left it up to me to clean. Moreover, the complimentary tube with body lotion is empty. Looks like someone has already used it. Meh!
Stayed for 2 nights room was dirty bathtub was nasty bed sheets were stained and gross. Worst hotel experience ever.
Nice place and enjoyed Chandler and the stores near by.
Went to the Crowne Plaza in Chandler for the Hertz desk. Forgot how cool the lobby, bar, and restaurants are there. It has an ambiance that only an old luxury hotel can have. Going to take my wife back for drinks and maybe dinner.
Great place, nice open spaces, next to good bars and restaurants,
There was heavy construction going on. We were not informed of this at check-in. We checked-in at 10:00pm after 7 hours on the road looking forward to rest. Instead we were awakened at 6:30am by heavy equipment working on what sounded like asphalt demo and removal. From the looks of it this had been going on for a while. Not being able to sleep we left early. I spoke to the person in charge and she has no explanation on why I was not informed. I asked why there is no sign letting guests know the situation. This apparently had not occurred to them, she thought this was a novel idea and would take it under consideration. I got the obligatory "I understand how you feel" line. Well practiced but cold and empty nonetheless. I was told the resort manager would get a hold of me. Three days wait on that so far. I was only refunded the resort fee I still had to pay for the room.
I only visited a guest here. The grounds are really nice and the room was adequate.
We reserved a room with a king bed. It was a LONG walk with our stuff to the room. Went to our room and walked in to an occupied room with people and stuff in it. That was embarrassing considering the state of the people in the room.
Took all our stuff back to the car.
At the desk explaining what happened. They called the room as though they didn't believe me. No one answer. The lady looked at the computer and says there was no one in that room last night. I told her there were people in there now. Then she tried to call facilities in the radio. No one answered them. Like I was lying about the room being occupied..... really there were people in the room. Can I have another?
A small I'm sorry from the desk and then another room.
Made the walk all the way up to that room. It has two beds. Called the desk- they said sorry.
Not impressed with the service. The room is fine but not nicer than a room for less at a hotel that is it full service.
We had a great time! The rooms were comfortable, the staff friendly, and an ideal location for events.
Great location, in the heart of downtown Chandler plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance, Chandler Center for the Arts is also nearby. Attractive pool area, the lobby has that retro 30s look to it, with the old vintage car.
I booked a room here last minute after a snafu at the resort where I was staying. Truth be told the room here was nicer than at the resort and for a better price.
Great location. Hotel is 3 stars, nice enough. I stay here on business because it is so close to great eateries and shopping.
Pleasant stay but needs a little update and it is a hike from the parking lot to your room.
Nice hotel, the location is amazing and it's historic.
Very comfortable beds and magnificent restaurant service
Hotel was clean during the off hours went to pick up my rental. The asked me if wanted to sit down to coffee or the paper until Hertz opened...
I have stayed in better Crowne Plaza hotels. This is a very old property and even basic daily maintenance is not being taken care of... Very disappointing.. Not worth the price!!
This place is beautiful. My room is very nice and clean. Dinner was amazing, and the staff is very helpful and friendly.
Clean rooms. Great location. Doors open to the outside however.
Clean and well staffed. Beautiful outside, everything was wonderfully landscaped. And well supplied with towels.
Clean and nice looking hotel, right in downtown Chandler. Staff is helpful and attentive.
Great location, nice room, grout in bathroom needs help and tub doesn't drain well
Stopped in to check out Ostrich Bar which is a little speakeasy style spot hiding under Crust Pizza. Huge selection of speciality and oldschool cocktails. Everything we tried was expertly prepared and quite tasty.
If you're thinking about staying here, for the sake of your health, do not. The employees are very kind, but the way management wants this hotel ran just for the money, leaves the hotel rooms very unclean. the rooms need to be done during a certain time frame, which is not feasible to properly clean and disinfect during the given time frame. If it doesnt look like it needs to be vacuumed, dont do it, if the shower looks unused, leave it, if the bed looks like it was just messed with, just remake it, amongst many other things. The rooms are more of an illusion of clean. If you do go, I suggest looking very close at your room.
Beautiful grounds and facilities. Made the event so much more enjoyable. Staff was helpful and friendly.
Excellent location close to shops and restaurants. The hotel is currently under renovation, so a lot of the amenities are closed. The new room design is nice, though.
Went for Easter Brunch. It's expensive, but a nice morning. They brunch selection was smaller than last year, no kids brunch as the year before there was chicken tenders and other kid options. Less dessert choices and service was slow. I don't think we'll be going back as the cost definitely outweighed the selection and variety of menu. Sad, because it used to be very enjoyable
The area isn't very nice but the immediate surroundings are.
The room was nice a little outdated in a busy location which I don't mind. The gentleman that helped us to our room was quite rude, that I didn't appreciate.
Property is pretty, but the rooms are old and could use an upgrade.
The rooms are great, beds nice, recently remodeled. The staff sub par, seem to be more interested in getting through with the conversation rather than enhancing the stay. Exterior of the hotel needs a lot of work, dirty walk ways, chopped stucco throughout, old paint , and dead vegetation. Would stay here for the bed and food from the bar/restaurant was good. Only complaints were the hotel staff not caring and the exterior of the hotel looking dirty and distressed.
Great staff, can't say enough good things about this place.
This was an awful stay to say the least. The best part of the stay was the free breakfsst3. Save your money and do not stay at this dump. My first room was not cold and the ac was broken. So i got moved to another room and that had a cockroach in between the curtains. Then there was some sort of moth or cocooning on the curtains. It was so gross.i am never staying here all.. please review yelp reviews before staying here if you want to make sure. Very outdated even though they try their best to keep up with other hotels.
Everything was great, food, room we had a great convention there
Nice facilities big rooms
Clean
I booked a room for my parents and they enjoyed their stay!
The rooms are large and comfortable, staff was great and the property was clean and well maintained.
Overall a very lousy stay. This March, my wife, her parents, our two kids, and I went to a family reunion in Chandler. We booked a pair of rooms with adjoining doors with a pair of Queen beds in each.
First off, we tried to check in at 3:00, and the rooms were not ready. Then upon returning later that day, we were told they were all full so we did not get rooms with two beds as we had booked. We got into our rooms, then took the kids down to the pool for a bit before bed. When we got back, they had checked someone else into one of the rooms. Once we had this cleared up, we made sure we had all of our belongings, and they had cleaned the room, it was very late at night.
Ordinarily, I'd say these things happen, and its less about this and more about the staff. Through out this whole thing, they were extremely rude. The guy at the front desk, Damon, seemed annoyed that we were asking him to kick a "guest" out of OUR room! Ha! It was incredible. I'm not sure that they even said they were sorry about the mix up. All of this, and an overall shabby hotel. No thanks.
Anyway, that's the story of our wonderful stay at the Crowne Plaza. I hope this helps you pick a hotel in the area.
UPDATE: As I was typing this review, my wife just pointed out that it looks like room service forgot to clean someone's puke off of our toilette. This place is getting better by the minute...
Love this location for weddings and events. Room are nice and super close to Downtown Chandler. Love it!!
We went to stay because our hot water was out at our apartment and I booked the room online but didn't realize I chose the wrong date. When we got to the hotel, we were told there were no rooms available. The manager did some magic and found us a room. He went way out of his way to help us out and made our day! I would recommend staying here to anyone. The staff was great and very friendly and the short walk to the great restaurants near-by was awesome. Thanks for making a bad day turn around.
5 star classic hotel. Very nice environment, relaxing place
Bit old, but comfortable place and reasonable price.
Such a nice time attending a baby shower! Beautiful grounds and a beautiful conference room. Employees were so nice and helpful.
Very nice ambiance very clean<br/>In a very nice area
We met friends for an early dinner at Murphy's Law. It was great! Then we walked around all the charming shops. I highly recommend it!
We came on Memorial weekend so it was very busy. The pool was crowded but very nice. The hot tub jets didn't work but the water was still warm. The room was clean although there was some rust in the shower near the drain. The rest of the room was very clean and the beds were comfortable.
Great place to hold a party! Good service and excellent food....
I grew up in Crown Plaza hotels (Dad was an exec). This location is nice but it does need some work. I'm only giving it a 4 out of 5 because it's a Crowne Plaza.
As far as hotels in general it's GREAT!! Rooms are spacious, like the in room fride, location is excellent, and this hotel has a awesome history.
I only expect the best out of a Crowne Plaza.. for a Holiday In or a Hilton this hotel would get 6 stars.. I'm strictly rating it in being a Crowne Plaza.
I still highly recommend staying here & was very happy living here for three days!
