Great hotel with all kinds of rich history! The restaurants inside are all delightful. We had our wedding there and I couldn t have been happier. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I loved the grand staircase leading upstairs. The decor is light and refreshing. Special place. Can t wait to go back and visit. Made many special memories!

Attended a wedding at this propery. The garden outside where the ceremony took place was very nice lots of shade. The reception area was setup to allow for space and conversations. The ballroom and dance area was lovely not overly crowded but a great area.

At check in staff was everything but friendly. Booking was done via my corporate travel agency who also provided payment details, yet the hotel did not acknkwledge that and tried to charge my private card.

Room was spacious but poorly equipped, could use renovation, especially for that price.

Love this hotel & it's history but disappointed in the quality of some of the convention services & housekeeping/maintenance day to day work. Restrooms consistently out of TP over 3 days, breakfast food cold, the cart was not available or did not offer to drive the lady with the foot cast to the lunch pavilion. Hoping it was a fluke...

The room is nice and spacious, but lacks the amenities I would expect, such as a microwave and refrigerator. There's a large balcony as well with a table and two chairs overlooking a good view of the courtyard. The front desk staff have all been friendly and helpful, and the maid service is good. The location is a nice central spot in Chandler, with easy access to the freeways and not too far from the major Phoenix area attractions. The grounds are beautiful, and attending a wedding here as well, the events facilities are quite nice. The historical aspect of the hotel adds to the ambiance. The food provided by the hotel for the event was sadly a little under par, but most of the guests seemed happy enough. We were sad to find the elevator in our section of the hotel out of service for at least several hours on our second day, and have not returned yet to see if it is yet repaired.

I was so disappointed in how the grounds were maintained. The property was under construction which was not the problem however, I can t believe the hotel manager would allowed his property to be so Unkept. The construction companies had left broken tiles over multiple parking spaces, the back of the parking lot where they kept storage for the Construction supplies were thrown around with broken boxes everywhere and the gates had been left wide open to the point that we could barely drive by that part of the parking lot. I found razor blades in the rocks near our room, a dog was barking from another room, the trash can near the elevator was over flowing onto the rocks the whole weekend and there were white claw cans in the court yard in the grass. Plus, the elevator looked like it had not been vacuumed in weeks.. you would have thought with everything going on with Covid they would made sure their property was a little more cleaned and presentable.

I attended a wedding. It was beautiful . The cocktail party was in the antiroom of the lobby. The ceremony was outside surrounded by Palm Trees. The reception, in the ballroom was spacious with lots of room for dancing. The DJ kept the party moving right along. The food, and desserts were delicious. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a wedding venue to look here.

We chose to stay at the Crowne Plaza for our wedding, along with everyone flying from out of town. We started looking at hotels one year prior to our wedding for proper planning and were told all rooms/ lobby would have renovations completed by that time (12/15/19). This is why we chose this hotel as well as the great location in Downtown Chandler. When we arrived, none of the renovations had been done, they were just beginning. The rooms are very run down, the property is quite old. There were holes in the walls, the rooms smelled of smoke, overall very poor condition. The elevator near our rooms was broken. We had to drag large suitcases up three flights of stairs or walk to the complete opposite side of the property to use the other elevator, which was very far away. My future mother in law is in a wheel chair, which made this very difficult/ frustrating. Even more frustrating was the front desk response. They could care less that the elevator near us was "undergoing maintenance" and said to use the one on the opposite side of the property. Never an apology. For our second night stay, we moved into the presidential suite. Again, extremely outdated but at least it was clean. Since this was our wedding, we had a ton of stuff to move from one room to the presidential suite, again with NO elevator. After moving as much as we could in one trip...the key to the new room doesn't work! The key the front desk just gave us. So, now we bring everything back, go back to the front desk, ask for a key that works but again, no apology. The front desk staff wasn't friendly/ accommodating at all. Considering we chose this hotel for our wedding guests it was extremely disappointing. We also had incorrect charges billed to our room. Would not stay here again or recommend.

Great service from the hotel and bar staff. Location is amazing as well. Walking distance to all of the restaurants and bars. The property itself needs a major renovation. Everything from the grounds to the rooms. Great experience otherwise! The staff was as good as any 5 resort in Scottsdale.

I took my son for the electronic golf. It was a lot of fun and the service was great. Even though we use the Groupon, they treated us with as much respect as if we had paid cash and paid more to them.

This place is great. Spacious rooms. Delightful employees. Close to restaurants and bars. Heated pool. Only downfall is coming from NC, my room didn't have cold water, borderline lukewarm water. Not sure if it is an AZ thing. But that is the only complaint I had.

Pretty terrible experience. Hotel is fine but tired and built with a layout so confusing that even the workers there couldn't find their way around. That's saying something. Be prepared for a 5 - 10 minute walk to your room, and you'd better hope it isn't raining.

The included breakfast was mostly boxed cereals, frozen waffles, and watery eggs. Rooms are serviceable but tired, but the biggest issue was a non-functioning lock system that meant I couldn't get into my room without having one of the service personnel escort me. That, as you can imagine, got pretty old pretty fast.

Location is good and central to Chandler, with several shops and restaurants in walking distance, and the golf course attached. Rooms are large and well kept, good climate control. Pool and hot tub and other gathering areas are relaxing and away from high traffic areas. Bar has a decent selection of local brewery beers. Good water pressure and hot water temperature for the shower. Staff was amenable to a number of special requests without issue.

Since I arrived to the hotel I was disappointed because the pictures on the website are not the same of how looks the hotel. The hotel looks careless, unsafe, trash for everywhere and smelling of cigarettes. The night was a nightmare. The room is divided by one door, this makes think this is the same room because you can listen conversations and noises coming from the other room and by the way they did not stop slapping the door all the night. At 12 am someone knocked my door while I was sleeping. I opened it carefully because knocked many times, a woman with a girl were there, she apologized because by mistake knocked the door. At 2.06 am another person knocked my door, Gosh I did not open it because it freaked me out a lot, my husband was sleeping. I could not sleep until 4am or 5am.

It's not as bad as it could have been, but it definitely wasn't what we were expecting. The lobby and main outside entrances are nice, which is what is shown in pictures, but the rooms are not so great. Firstly, I was under the impression that the hotel was actually on a golf resort, when in fact, it is next door to a golf resort. Secondly, the room entrances were on the outside of the buildings. I wasn't expecting that. Lastly, the rooms were older, but you could see the effort to make them look up to date. I do appreciate the effort. The drapes, headboards and decor were up to date. The location is less than a mile away from the chandler performing arts center, which was my destination, so by default this was our choice. Not entirely bad, just know what to expect.

Be very careful at check in. Clerk collected our name, address, email, and phone number then immediately sold it to a group of 3rd party companies and now we are constantly being bombarded with scam emails and phone calls. I m so disappointed in the San Marcos Hotel. My family has been coming here for 80 years and now we will no longer be guests. I cannot believe how many calls and emails we have received. It is constant harassment. I m changing my phone number it s so bad

Had family come in from out of town and stay here. We met them for some cocktails. The atmosphere was pleasant yet dated. The concierge was super friendly and helpful. They provided us with plenty of restaurant recommendations as well as a local shuttle that is free on the weekends.

The resort was beautiful. Rooms were clean and well laid out, grounds were well maintained, and the pool was great. Very close walking distance to 5-10 excellent restaurants. Great spot to stay in Chandler if you don't want to have to leave the resort!

The rooms are spacious and the price is decent. However, the breakfast is terrible and service was shockingly poor. I wouldn't recommend this hotel, but it's the first time I've stayed in the area and can't recommend an alternative.

The room was very well put together and clean. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was also nice. The pool was also great, a lot of clean towels available, varying depths for the pool and poolside service also.
