I ve been to this hotel several times with friends and family and each stay has been fantastic. Definitely one of the best hotels in the metro. Great location, great interiors and excellent excellent customer service!

Need to train staff to provide world class service...

Need to train staff to provide world class service fitting of the price point you are demanding in a competitive market like Manila.

I had a spa treatment and the room that the treatment was performed in needed attention and had a warp floor with possible water damage and mold as evidenced by my sinuous acting up.

Please provide better quality coffee at the restaurant during breakfast hours.

Thank you for the accommodation. Although our room was transferred since my connecting room was not available, my children generally enjoyed our stay. Highlight was the Heat buffet breakfast.

If i can think back, i recall waiting for 20 mins for a return call when we were about to be transferred. Perhaps you can check your SLA for a sooner return call. Thanks

Overall, the facility is excellent. Its your oasis in the busy metro. I'd like the fact that they have activities with young kids during weekends free of charge.
I have been very loyal to Shangrila hotels. Knowing that their customer service is excellent, it makes you at home. However, i have observed that this Edsa Shangrila, don't perform well with the companys standard espcially with their customer service. None of them greets you, they dont follow up if the check in process was ok, no follow up if the rooms are stisfactory. The front desk is very frustrating. You need to call million times for them to answer the phone. It is always the case everytime i call front desk during our 7 day stay in this hotel. Food is great at their restaurant, but again their staff are not accomodating. It makes you feel like they dont want you there to eat. In this hotel, i noticed that everytime you request something, there is always a charge. ex: i bought a cake at their bakery, brought it to my room and ask for plate and cutlery. They have to charge 100 pesos for that even tough i bout the cake from them.
A piece of advise, in the Philippines if you want to experience a true Shangrila hospitality, go to either Shangrila Makati or Shangrila the Fort.

I stayed at EDSA Shangrila, Manila from 2nd to 13th June'18.. It was an excellent stay.. wonderful rooms.. awesome ambiance..quite a supportive staff...some real good food at Heat..
overall .. THE BEST HOTEL STAY of my life so far.. I would recommend EDSA Shangrila to all and would love to go back there again.. keep up the good work guys..

We were asked to pay 2,500pesos for an extra adult...

We were asked to pay 2,500pesos for an extra adult swimming in the pool. Extra charge is fine but the price is unreasonable.

Valet people doesn t allow cars to stop even for just two minutes. It gave us hard time when we missed the car by a minute or two as the driver needs to go around again, waited 10mins outside!

No bidet(or similar) in the bathroom

Chi Spa - toilet in our assigned spa room was dirty and there was used towel hanging on the door.

I redeemed food and beverage voucher via Shangrila Golden Circle app, advised the staff of Heat that I ll be using voucher and asked them if I should go to business centre to get the physical voucher (as I read on the website FAQ beforehand) but they told me to not bother as staff can directly process without physical voucher but upon payment they told me I had to go to business centre as they couldn t do it - so had to go down, go back to the resto and wait for the settlement of the bill which took about 15-20mins. Staff were very friendly though.

Staffs were proactive and hospitable. Rooms were bigger than most of the hotels in manila. Has a big pool and a garden which other hotels don't have. Buffet breakfast was also great but you need to be early to avoid the long queue. I would also hope you could also upgrade the TVs to net TVs. Few people watch cable TVs nowadays. Either they are on digital or subscription sites like netflix

My over-all experience has been great. The hotel is a bit dated, but still sophisticated. I felt at ease walking around and coming in and out of the hotel. All entrances were guarded. The bakery at the lobby has delicous, affordable breads and pastries. The staff at the concierge was very helpful. Although one employee who presented himself as assistant manager and was covering the night shift of January 21 was a bit haughty. As guests from abroad, we were picked up at the airport by friends and we haven't seen them for a long time. It was past midnight so instead of going out to a bar or cafe, I told them to stay for a bit while we checked in so we can catch up. The arrogant fool said I would need to pay an extra P1,500 for every additional person sleeping over. It ticked me off the way he said it. The amount was not the issue, it was annoying he assumed and didn't bother asking first if there will be additional guests checking-in. And I didn't have to explain to him why my friends are there in the first place. He was very condescending. Good thing, everyone else plus the breakfast were all up to my liking.

Hi, I just have one comment during my stay. I tried to call the private dining number (on your house phone) in the night, to please accommodate my request of converting the breakfast included on my SUITE ROOM to ROOM SERVICE instead. I tried to call two times and was able to speak to different persons. They both declined my request. I said I will not take my breakfast at the club floor lounge nor the restaurant downstairs, instead send me a room service of two sets of breakfast but they both declined. I didn't have much time to prepare and go down or up anymore, thus I am requesting such. I did not experience this during my stay at different 5-STAR Hotels in the City. Thanks!

After a 4 night stay, I wish I had more time to enjoy this place. Every one who works here are super pleasant and accomodating. I could relax by the pool all day. It's connected to large mall complexes, so there's no need to stray very far from the hotel. The rooms are clean, the shower is like standing in a rainstorm, and beds are comfortable.

I don't think I've stayed here as far as I remember. Although, I believe I've had but that was a long time ago. I went here mainly for an event of my Aunt's 60th birthday party. The venue was absolutely amazing. They were able to decorate it so well and the program was also so beautiful. Truly world class. However, the facilities can feel very dated. Some areas are obviously looked over such as parking areas, bathrooms, doors, halls and etc. It looks and feels very old. And I personally don't like old places. The Fort Shangri La is was more amazing in this respect.

My shirt was lost during your laundary delivery. I visited desk and called repeatsely. Person in charge just came to my room after sixth calls. Even I mentiomed not delivery, your people checked my closet. After that your manager visited. Finally shirt was not found and you pay back 2,500 PHP. That s your way to resolve problem. It was my first staying and would be last one.

Exceptional and wonderful customer service from th...

Exceptional and wonderful customer service from the staff as usual, except for the female staff who assisted me at the bakeshop, i guess she was new or was substituting for someone else, she didn't know the prices of the food items and had to call one of her co-workers on the phone and took a while to ring my items up. I wasn't in a hurry and all but still, it took her 5 min.or more just asking the food prices and trying to work out the cash register.
Overall though, our family had a delightful and comfortable stay and will definitely come back

We had a great experience at Edsa Shangri-la Hotel. The staff are very accommodating and pleasant. Very fast transaction and easy to deal with. I salute Eds of front desk for upgrading our room, my Mom who is already a senior, had a great time and would like to come back soon. Kudos Eds! Keep it up! =)

Hotel rooms facilities may need a bit of renovation such as replacing the plastic bathtubs.
Overall staff services to me have been improved greatly since my last visit which was a few years ago.
However, both the Hainanese Chicken Rice and the Carbonara pasta were basically sub-standard to a 5 star hotels. The former was served barely warm when the chicken meat was very dried. The latter was much tasteless as for a good Carbonara. That's 2 out of my 3 in-room dining experience during my stay.

Like many times before, a wonderful experience.

Was a little bit disappointed that the pool area was closed. If this was due to the Taal eruption, then wondering why the outside seating in the breakfast restaurant was available - but no access to sunbeds etc. Would have been nice to chill there and have a cocktail. Air quality was OK 3 days after eruption.

This of course has nothing to do with the overall exceptional experience in the hotel. Will always come again.

Had a fine experience at the hotel, even though I was originally given a room that had a surprised guest in there when I opened the door! I didn't mind, and the team was so apologetic about the mistake. More importantly, hotel and restaurant staff who did not know about the mistake were effusively friendly and helpful, showing the staff are very well trained

Overall stay was delightful. Very relaxing atmosphere. However, the housekeeping service was quite disappointing since I have to call to request for stuff they forgot to replace when they cleaned the room, like bath mat, tissue, bath robe, etc... Would suggest they have a checklist so that guests do not have to call them to request for things that should have been there in the first place...

This is my second time staying with Edsa Shangri-La for business travel. Overall the experience is pleasant and satisfaction. Staff are polite, friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend Edsa Shang to my business partners if they travel to Manila. Well Done Edsa Shang Team.

You can tell this place used to be very upscale and posh but time and neglect have certainly taken its toll here. The guest relations is great, employees are very friendly and the beds are comfy however that's where the good comments come to an end. Lots of construction makes the place look dirty. Carpets were dirty, towel racks were broken.

This is not the first time that we stayed at your hotel. It is however, our first time to book a room at the Tower wing for we usually stay at the Garden wing. Our overall stay was quite good, although next time, maybe we'll book another date rather than New Year's Eve. I don't know what you call them exactly, but the ladies roaming the lobby on our day of check in were helpful and lovely. As soon as I got in line, one of them approached me almost immediately, but then again, I'll attribute that to the fact that I'm pregnant. She then directed me to another makeshift check in counter at the Mactan room. What I liked about that check in was that there were seating, food and drinks were also being served. It still took us about 45 minutes to get a room though. We had no problems with our room, an added bonus was the bidet. I just found the "refrigerator" somewhat odd. It seemed more like a chiller. Again, we experienced a few hiccups with our check out. Though the check out process again only took a few minutes, expedited by my expectant condition, it still took us an hour and thirty minutes before we finally left the hotel. I understand your hotel was insanely full, but you'd think you'd be used to it by now.

I requested fresh towels and it was immediately sent to the room. I actually just found the room smaller compared to other hotels of similar stars.

The check-in and check-out procedures also took a bit longer than expected. I initially thought that the room booked was under my Company who has a send bill arrangement with the hotel. Upon checking, it was booked separate from that and I ended up paying for the room charges. The request of applying the Company rate was denied despite that I was there because of a Company event. According to the person who handled the check-out, arrangement was not done prior to my check-in so the regular rate was applied.

I requested for a room with a good view during check-in but given me a room at a lower floor facing only the Shari-la Plaza mall. The Front Desk guy even acted as if he's looking for a good room for me, the one I requested. .....Why don't he just be honest if he cannot give me my request.

On my very first day, I noticed that the room fridge is not cooling sufficiently. The technician tried to convince me that its normal as its only a cooler for drinks. But it can't even make the supplied drinking water cold even after 6 hours of being inside the fridge, so I insist that it should be replaced. The replacement fridge worked well. I guess the past occupant of the room just ignored the problem.

The past several years have been a relaxing experi...

The past several years have been a relaxing experience. Until last Saturday, where your event coordinator, staff responsible for hotel accomodations and parking management did not have a contingency plan as to hotel guest who brought cars. You parking slots for valet also was full. I have to park to the nearby mall and wake up in the middle of the night just to get my car. I think, overnight guest should at least have a reserved parking space. It would be easy for you to anticipate, overnight guest who checked in the hotel, if there is a tick box for parking, once they booked a stay. It was a big inconvenience, you want to rest but you can t because your neighbors are partying and has blocked entry of your car. So you have to park couple of blocks away, where there is no assurance with regards to car safety, that you have to get the car in the middle of the night after the party is over. Oh frustrating... If only my family was not yet asleep, I would go straight home that Saturday night.
