Beautiful. Tucked away on the peninsula. Company outing with plenty of activities available.

Great getaway spot, beautiful beaches and grounds. The rooms are dated but clean, you should spend minimal time in the room so doesn't really matter how nice they are. The pools are very nice and the the grounds are beautiful and well kept. The food was ok, some was very good and others weren't good at all. I definitely recommend this place!

Cool resort with fantastic views and a decent selection of Filipino food. Staff were friendly and customer service experience was amazing!!!

They provided "managed buffets" where you are only provided with a single serving. The only buffet where you'll go home hungry.

Aside from this the amenities are okay. The pools are closed until 8 am, where the sun will be up and you'll easily get burnt. Rooms are also just fine and provided with the standard things.

I dont usually give a five star rating because there is usually a problem in every place. But Montemar beach club despite of some problems like the internet/wifi connection in the rooms and the long drive are all worth forgiving because of the view and the place and the services they offer.

The beach has a great view, you could say that you almost own the beach because it is never crowded the food are not too pricy for a beach club and the servings are large. If there are enough guests there is a free buffet in the morning and if not every guests get an ala carte breakfast with multiple choices of american or filipino breakfast.

By far one of the coolest and I like since it has a relaxing ambience, cool beach, accommodating and attentive staffs, nice and clean rooms, secured place, nature s at its best and the food is above average though. Their pool were well maintained and there are various water activities you can take. Definitely a must place to visit in the province og Bataan.

Beach, sand nature is perfect. However, the waiter sometimes seems not attentive, they also like to hide from customer, the food lack taste and their shakes not consistent. Their added service are also not customer friendly, they charge client with a simple phone inquiries from resto to reception.

Our experience with Montemar Beach Resort is we were not able to experience it. Our company was looking for a resort in Bataan for our company outing/team building. I was able to communicate with Nikki, the Reservations Officer on March 16, 2017. Well, she told me to wait for the call of their Sales Team. March 20, I followed up Nikki that nobody is calling me yet, so she apologized. March 24, I sent a gentle reminder to check if Montemar can accommodate us. Finally, on March 28, just this morning, after almost 2 weeks of waiting and after 2 follow ups, Montemar's Sales Team called me and she said "Our May 27, 2017 date is fully booked, do you have any other date in mind?" hahaha. Seriously??? After almost 2 weeks and you will say that the date is available no more? I understand if Montemar is fully booked, that is a sign of good business, but does a client need to wait for 12 days just to be informed that they cannot accommodate us? How many days would you realize that you are fully booked on a date? This is just unfortunate as the website and the pictures on it sent us a lot of promises that we would never experience. PS - I was about to post this but they would not let me without shading a star, just an FYI, it was not my intention to shade even half that star.

Clean and well-maintained resort. Served by very friendly and honest personnel.

The view is the most best thing that happened when I visited, its a bit pricey but its all worth it cause the accommodation is great and the food is delicious

The water is Soo nice and clear.clean fresh air and good food and the waiters are nice they talk to you and the have great service.

What a beautiful place. First class resort! Cant wait to go back.

the most romantic place to be with your special someone

It's farther than most resorts in the area including Anvaya, however the beach is worth it. The sand is fine and no pebbles. The shoreline is long enough, the beach deepens gradually so it's safe for the kids and no swimmers. The waves are friendly. Basically everyone has a place. You can either relax and enjoy the scenery or go jet skiing. Its also a pawikan conservation site. The accomodation at dinning Hall are well kept and modern.

The place is beautiful and romantic for beach weddings, although they need to upgrade their in-house sound system and food menus. The Staff are accomodating but needs a little improvements.

So quite..you can have your peace of mind in there..

Montemar Beach Club Resort is a well established resort being in operation since my mother was a child. I have visited this resort and stayed numerous times during my visit to Philippines and Bagac.

Facilities:
Well maintained landscapes, facilities and club house.

Rooms:
Well maintained and modern rooms. Good value pricing.

Activities:
Gazebo, pools, beach, volleyball, jet ski, massage, manicure etc.

One of the highlights for me has been being part of the Pawikan (turtle) release from the beach as part of the conservation efforts. Visitors were able to partake in the release of baby turtles onto the beach and watch their journey to the open water.

Food:
Large selection of food options from the main clubhouse.

Pools:
Very clean and well maintained with sun beds nearby

Beach:
Clean fine sands with calm water. Perfect for swimming

Atmosphere:
Relaxing environment with diverse range of guests

Staff:
Friendly helpful staff

Despite it's age, the place is still Lovely to stay at.

A beautiful exclusive beach club for members only. If you are fortunate enough to be able to buy a membership to Montemar you will be treated to a lovely semi-private beach and several crystal clear swimming pools with very few fellow guest sharing the area. Their food is good and their rooms and accommodations are large, 5 star quality, and clean. Their staff are very professional, very friendly, and very helpful. There are times I feel I'm the only guest in this place. Staying in this resort feels like a constant relaxing and quiet meditation.

Good facilities and good enough beach. Food is tasty and servings are big. I just don't recommend this for a day trip since the facilities for those not staying overnight are below par.

Membership only. Members can endorse friends or family. Newly renovated rooms and dining area. Beach has always been one of my favorite clean places.

Unfortunately, its a resort only for members. And non-members can only get in after an endorsement letter from members. Very disappointing policy! What if I am a foreign tourist and dont know any members, so I dont have any chance at all!

We had our company outing (staycation) here. The place is great. They have 3 swimming pools, 1 is exclusive for members and the other 2 are open for guests. It's also near the beach. They have standby lifeguards near the beach and the pools. The rooms are clean and organized. They have mini bar each room and toiletries as well as neat towels. It's just unfortunate for us we weren't able to use their team building stuffs outdoor cos it was raining. But overall, I had an awesome experience and this place is recommendable for team building venue on sunny days.

Super Duper Environment Friendly Members Only Beach Resort

Beautiful beach and pool . Place is quiet and serene. If you're a nature lover and love the beach and need to be relax. This is the right place for you.
Not congested with a lot of people.
Food is great too but a little pricey.
We keep coming back to this place.

I just hope they assign non members to the building that's not in front of a pool they can't use. The pool which we are allowed to use is ok but the surrounding tiles are a mess, cracked and not maintained. Other than this, the facilities are fine, water heating works, room is clean, beach area is perfect and the grounds are close to nature -very relaxing.

Beautiful rooms, beautiful pools, beautiful access to the sea!!! I loved this place. And they do conservation work for sea turtles which was a very cool experience. The food was also memorable and delicious!!!!

Beautiful place...courteous staff...nice rooms and good food

Home away from home, Montemar is an introvert beach lover s paradise. Inns and rooms are well-maintained, and over the years have been upgraded. The menu is constantly being changed but there are still some favourites there (crispy pata, sinigang na lechon kawali, and their ever-reliable calamares). Every now and then they ll have inihaw (grill) nights where you can choose your viand and have it grilled on the spot.

If you're looking for a getaway that is just a few hours drive away from Manila this is one gem in the north to check. Make sure to book here on off-peak season to avoid the crowd. Rooms rates are above average compared to other resorts. They have pools just in case you're not a beach person (beach is beautiful too) and they have a big playground with a tree-house for kids. Bringing in cooked food is not allowed as they have their own resto. I wish they could upgrade their booking process so people can book online instead of manually paying at the bank.

They wont allow you to swim, surf and do any other water recreational activities if there's swell/waves. What a waste of money. I scheduled my trip here to be able to check their waves. Talked to manager and asked if i could sign a waiver and permit me to surf. Guess what, they do not have a policy for that. So they will not allow it.
Montemar, you are not a beach club if you dont allow your customer to do water related activities. There's always a risk even if the waves are knee high or flat.

Friendly staff, decent rates and clean rooms. Large open spaces for the kids to play and a nice wide beach. Food is a bit expensive, but good.

Been going here for a while with my family, never disappoints. New renovations are also very nice

If you have a chance to get a share here, go and get it. For members only (as far as I know) but they do allow companies to do their team building activities here. It's a relatively quick drive from Manila (3 hours) and the drive has many options along the way whether it is through the towns of Pampanga or through the scenic route of SCTEX. Facilities in Montemar are complete and the staff are very nice and accommodating. Food is pretty good but on the expensive side. I've gone here each year for the past 13 years and I'll continue to do it every year.

This place is very peaceful and offers great view and great food. The beach is great too and accomodation is best.

It is a paradise with wonderful ambiens for rest and family reunion.
