I booked this for our wedding and planned to exten...

I booked this for our wedding and planned to extend for a week However due to these reasons, I did not: Your premiere suite does not have bidet, room service was not prompt for suite, some of the compliments like water and toothbrush were not replenished. Flush does not work well.

You should not call yourself Shangrila , suggest you do a good assessment on what it means to deliver a superior customer experience.
Room dirty
Room service dinner , 1 1/2 hours to deliver
Room service dinner (beef and french fries) cold as ice , beef overcooked , fries soggy
Call center not delivering accurate information, from the last call to follow up on my dinner it took them 20 minutes to deliver it after saying it will be there in 5 " sir.
Clock alarm in the room, 10 ' behind the time
Liquid Soaps in the room , same quantity as for my little son
Egg Omelete at Business Center , white like blankets, after complaining to the chef , the chef said the yolk was there it was just a white egg, the chef did not even bother to come and see me.
Overall, if I compare you to Shangrila in SG or Raffles in Jakarta, you should close your business. I will seriously evaluate changing hotels in the future.

In any hotel, normally we are amazed with the aesthetics but having great personnels sets you apart. I loved how endearing your staffs were during our stay. It made our experience more memorable. We will definitely come back to stay with you again.

One of the best hotels I've been to so far. Excellent service. All of the staff were accommodating. The check-in part was a little confusing but it was fine as the rest of our stay was fabulous.

I book the city tour on Friday afternoon, around one o clock.But not on time to pick us up.
The other I am the gold member,I did not get the Fruit when I lived in at first day.
But they gave us cake for birthday celebrating.
Breakfast guite good, but for pick it out ,the hotel only prepared one piece of sandwiches ,a small cup of coffee, a small cake, a small apple and a bottle of water.(It cost almost 1950 ph)

This is the worst experience I had with Shangrila ...

This is the worst experience I had with Shangrila EDSA, the staff specially the valet parking staff are not helpful, not prepare and don't have contingency plan, when guest come in volume. I check it at 12 nn, December 24, 2019, then staff at the check in area would not even great guest good day or good morning, then will just point us where to go and to fall in line. Then after I check in, I went out to have dinner with outside with friends, when I went back at 8 or 9 p.m. the valet staff said to me that the parking is full and instruct me to park my car at the mall. They did not even offered to help and just told me that I park at the mall, and then transfer my car after 12 midnight which is of course so disappointing, because I check in so that I can stay and rest, so that I can avoid the noice from fireworks at home. But this made me stayed up late night so that I can transfer my car after 12. Then when I about transfer my car at past 1 a.m. I ask to concierge if there are any available parking already, then they said that the parking is still full,. At this time, Im so annoyed and insist that they should be the one that should find a space where to park the car, because im so tired and I want to rest.

Shangri-La Hotel located in downtown Manila.

There are shopping malls nearby and weekend markets nearby.

The pool is a bit small.

The room is also a bit small, but there is no big inconvenience.

It is divided into Garden Wing and Tower Wing (Main).

There is a well-equipped fitness center and additional facilities including Jacuzzi and sauna.

There is a sofa in the lobby, but there is no space for simple business work.

Breakfast is at a good 5-star level. Serves food from various countries.

Security screening is cumbersome, but it is for safety, so there is no big inconvenience.

The elevator is provided with a card key that only moves to the accommodation floor.
(It is a little uncomfortable if there is a group, and the floor cannot be moved)

There is a spa facility, but for some reason it is not available during this period.

The menu of the pool bar includes pizza and spaghetti, and the price is not cheap.

The hotel is very clean w/ good ambiance. The staff always maintain their smiling face. The guard on duty is very polite and accomodating in helping us find the bag we lost in the lobby the night we checked in (i forgot their names? Thank u so much! ANd last, we hav an easy access to mall. One thing i will suggest, can u hav a ministore inside where we can buy emergency supplies e.g. sanitary napkins. Etc.

Sincere welcoming attitude and gestures of hotel staff will always be the edge of Shangrila hotel, aside of course from the comfort of the room and its amenities; the good food and clean hotel, superb ambiance it has. Security and safety is ensured w/o intruding one's privacy. Great hotel as ever.

The hotel was overcrowded, absolutely no service during breakfast at the Heat restaurant, and no consideration for smokers as there is only one smoking zone that is not easily accessible from the rooms.

it has always been my choice when i entertain frie...

it has always been my choice when i entertain friends... i feel well loved whenever i am at the Heat. The people there already knows me and always have a ready smile to greet me. Special commendation to the chef who manned the japanese food corner... he always asked me what I want whenever he would see me and would recall when was the last time I was in your resto. Actually almost all the waiters and the chefs would approach me and ask me what I want. That is so very personalized and made a mark above the rest.

The staff has been very courteous, as always. The room was clean. However, I was disappointed with the breakfast food in Heat. The bacon was too hard. The ensaymada was also hard. The sago from the taho was cold. Overall, it was a very disappointing breakfast for me.

room didn't quite match my expectations. it's a 5 ...

room didn't quite match my expectations. it's a 5 star hotel but they have to update to current times. no socket near bed. can't charge phone while using in bed. have to charge using the outlets on the desk.. another major issue we had was the room next to ours was very noisy. you can literally hear them laughing loudly because of the wooden doors that allow rooms to be joined. although the said doors were closed, we could hear loud noises from next door. and it was sleeping time.
on a positive note, food in Heat resto was great tho

The best thing about the hotel is its well-trained...

The best thing about the hotel is its well-trained staff who also bring in the inherent Filipino hospitality. Outstanding are the waiters/food servers at the Heat namely: Rico, Cris, Dexter, Aldrin, Alvin and Aileen! They go out of their way to pease guests. I have observed that they are very attentive, friendly, and courteous to all guests. ...I am very disappointed with my experience at the Horizon lounge. There was barely any food outside of the cocktail hours. I travel extensively and I stay in other 5-star hotels and sometimes 4.5-star hotels. EDSA Shangrila pales in comparison even with 4.5 stars. I've also used the Horizon lounge at EDSA Shangrila before. The service and the food and drinks have deteriorated tremendously. Moreover, I was asked to check out early. I was informed that check out time is at 12 pm! As if I didn't know that I am allowed to check out at 4 pm given the type of room I have! I even have a copy of the document that says so. I made a compromise and checked out at 2 pm. I had to cut short the time I had to work at the Horizon business corner --which is the reasons I booked this room anyway. One thing I know for sure is that I'm not going to use the Horizon again--IF I will stay at EDSA Shangrila at all.

I stayed in your hotel more than 10 years ago and you had great service then. I am very happy that you were able to maintain the hotel's high quality of service throughout the years. The room was well kept and all the staff, from the front desk, concierge, security, F&B, were all well trained and gave us an amazing experience. All I can say is WELL DONE!!!

I stay at Edsa Shangri-la fairly regularly. The service is usually good but this time the service was exceptional, from the moment I arrived very late in the evening and was greeted by name (by Juki at Horizon club check in) and quickly taken through the registration process and got to my room. Every small thing was top value - breakfast order, extra coffee, room cleaning, turn down service, ordering of cars, greeting in the corridors, the service at Horizon Club each day, use of the gym. For the first time I was delighted with every aspect of my experience here. Yes I will be back and I have great expectations that you can maintain your top level of service.

Upon our arrival it seemed very chaotic in the lobby during check in, the receptionists looked completely stressed out. Not a smile on their faces, nor did we get directions to where we were suppose to be. There was one receptionist guiding but would disappear for minutes at a time. It wasn't the typical Shangrila hotel check in that i was use to. When we got to our room, i turned the hot water in the tub on, like i usually do when we check into a hotel to sanitize it so my son could take a bath but the water was brown and disgusting. Needless to say, after they had fixed the issue, i didn't feel comfortable letting my son swim in the tub. Everytime we showered we kept thinking if the water was dirty. Another issue was getting through to reception. I called so many times but no one would answer which is something i'm not use to when we stay at Shangrila. I have never felt so unwelcome. Last but not the least, the head bar tender at the pool bar seemed to be very attentive to the foreigners (americans/europeans) but when a filipino customer would ask for something there was no smile, actually there was no reaction. There was only one bar tender behind the bar and it was him. I decided to wait for another bartender to show up because i was so annoyed by the one who was so focused on the foreigners. I wanted to order but i couldn't, seriously, there was a lack of staff i guess but it was so not fun. At that point i just wanted to go home. Were regulars at the Edsa Shangrila because my son loves their pool area. I can't say i've experience this type treatment in all the times we stayed there. It was disappointing. Anyway we still love the other Shangrila's, just not this one. We won't be returning. It's no wonder it's so much cheaper than it use to be.

Time has taken it's toll on this place but still well kept. Stuck in the middle of the Ortigas business district it provides direct access to the offices and malls in the area. Better to walk instead of hailing a taxi around this area since the walkways has been improved as well.

Overall a very good experience, would definitely recommend. Room cleanliness and service were excellent as well as the gym staff, equipment. Breakfast could be a bit improved, as sometimes food choices could be a bit healthier and service could improve a bit. Thanks!

perfect service from reservation to check in to check out. all requests such as early check in and late check out were granted. specific instructions on pull out bed was followed. Quite pricey though. But only living up to the hotel's name.

Fix your doors, hinges are already noisy (it creaks horribly) when you open it. Takes the class out of the whole hotel from the get going into the room. Air conditioning didnt quite suit me, it can be colder maybe through maintenance? The TV on my room was a bit tilted by the way the tv bracket was fixed to the wall (its quite annoying when you notice it actually) and probably expected a better smart TV installed nowadays for a "great" hotel like this one.
The usb port charging at the tables were a plus however there were no sockets near the bedside/lampside so i could have charged my phone beside me while i slept. Which was annoying cause i had to get up. There were no combs provided at the toiletries. And the shower room door was hard to open/close.
