Wonderful staff, from the time they brought me to my room for check-in, through the experiences at the health club, to the restaurant the staff were superb. Beautiful facility and wonderful food.

Personalized but professional service of high stan...

Personalized but professional service of high standard. very spacious room, good lightning, beautiful comfortable bed, all perfect. However, positioning of a desk chair to face the room with one's back is not convenient. I had to move the chair, so I can at the same time as working on my lap top watch the news :)
despite this, wonderful experience.

We've always liked Edsa Shang and have a stayed a few times over the years. We were unhappy about the parking situation. We only stayed overnight and had to leave for a meeting the morning of checkout. When we came back to park, we were informed that the available slots were for people about to check in only so no parking for us because we're checking out! We had to park all the way in the mall and drag all our stuff with us over there to load in our car. This incident ruined our otherwise very pleasant and enjoyable stay.

When you say edsa shang its a "wow".. been spending chriatmas season for i think 2 to 4 years but we tried something else for the past 2 years until now.

When its christmas season the decor of edsa shang was unbeatable .. my child was young when the decor was good so while she wanted to check in our previous hotel, i convince her to stay at shang. Unfortunately, the decor was disappointing... super disappointing. It was like i was just in a small mall.. decor in megamall and edsa shang mall ia better. Likewise, when you check in at shang you feel christmasy..but again a disappointment. Swimming pool has no xmas decor, unlike before, you could have atleast made an effort to put christmas lights.. just like some other hotel.

The hotel is old.. maybe you should look for other ways to attract cuatomers esp christmas season. I love going to edsa shang it has been my bday home for so long but if my child would want a christmasy feel ... i might look for other hotel. Btw staffs are still great except the safety deposit box incident.

The room was great, since the bed was comfy and the air conditioning was working well. But the wifi and TV weren't as great, since the TV was not that clear and it has a limit to the volume as well. Because of this, you cannot really hear much of what your watching, especially if the volume of the film shown is so low. Also, regarding the wifi, the connection is not consistent. Thus, it keeps disconnecting from my phone. The wifi is slow too. We also ate at the heat breakfast buffet. I thought it would be worth it, since it is costly compared to other hotels but it didn't reach my expectations. I ended up pretty dissapointed, because there wasn't much variety with the food and also most of the ones that I took weren't delicious.

I had the best experience at executive lounge. Lounge staff under the leadership of Angel and Lala was extremely hospitable and helpful. Josh and Pam were extremely nice.
I had the worst experience at heat. Long lines to get into restaurant. I had to wait 25 minutes at 6:30 AM for breakfast and got late for my appointment. Service was also extremely poor. No one came to table to remove dirty plates or to check if someone needed tea or coffee. I had similar experience at Italian restaurant (except the wait).
WiFi was also extremely slow. I will put the similar review on TripAdvisor and will try my best to not to stay at this hotel again.

Everything were superb! Lawrence from the front desk were very kind to check us in at 11AM and honored my mother s senior discount even though we booked thru a 3rd party. He also granted our late check out request. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Room was spacious, clean and comfy. AC and Wifi works great. Migi from the Pool staff was nice. Offered us drinks and welcome us with a smile. Some only do care about the service charge when you order something which a bit disappointment! Breakfast buffet was plenty. Overall, we had an excellent stay and we are excited to visit again as a family. There s a lot of activities for small children as well.

The hotel is awesome! The personnel and staff are very friendly, courteous and helpful. The suite/room, amenities, restaurant/lounge, etc are simply amazing! Great for staycation with the family or even for personal retreat.

We love staying at this hotel. The location is convenient, if you want to go into the mall for shopping, dining or watching movies. We usually stay for mini-vacations, and the grounds and facilities are perfect for this purpose. The pool area and gardens feel like you are on an island and not in the middle of a city. The gym is complete, modern and well-maintained, with an array of free classes to choose from (Couch Gelo's urban dance class on Saturday morning is pure fun and can't be missed). The Horizon Club offers peace and quiet (not to mention has the most efficient and friendly staff, with superb meal and snack offerings). The evening staff in Heat are very good at anticipating all your needs (special kudos to Mike for his excellent service). The facilities are well-kept and elegant - this is a jewel in the middle of the concrete jungle.

We can't enjoy the pool area due to crowded place. The breakfast buffet selection of food is not good. Too expensive for the price. I invited a guest for a breakfast buffet but my guest is not happy with the food and so do I. No parking availability for hotel guest. I need to pay for parking for my stay at the hotel.

Excellent reception. excellent housekeeping service. am just wondering, i stayed in room 1108. most of the people i know staying in the same floor had access to Horizon Lounge. When I asked the front desk, they said we don't have complimentary access to Horizon.

We have been staying in Shangrila EDSA almost Dec....

We have been staying in Shangrila EDSA almost Dec. for Surgical Conventions. I noticed this year and last year, the rooms look new. The staff are more accommodating, not intrudng. For breakfast, I wouls always be asked in a not so nice manner, if our room is entitled for breakfast for 2. Now, with just looking at our room number, they know and are more courteous.
Upon arrival of some friends, the staff at the lobby or those going around are friendlier.
Wifi was good!
Breakfast was varied.. Even if we stayed for 3 days, we always had something new to add to our plate.
Cleanliness of the room is impeccable. No smoke or stale smell.
Complimentary water, coffee, etc were always enough.

One of the best upscale hotel in the Metro. All staff - from guards to front desk to housekeeping are cordial and friendly. Our team @massagemiraclesbyathena have been here on various occasions and their standards seems to be getting better and better. Highly recommended!

Eddie butler was the major difference as he person...

Eddie butler was the major difference as he personified service par excellence. We could not have asked for more. We were a very demanding set of guests and he delivered. Of course Shangrila is Shangrila and no question about its general high level of customer service. But Eddie was really great. He went out of his way to make our stay really memorable. Hope management of Shangrila recognizes his high level of service. Would definitely go back. Cheers! Merry Christmas!

I love this place, even though I didn't checked in in here yet. But I visited here when my Auncle checked in there. Nice place, elegant, friendly staffs. The pool has 3, 4, 9 ft water level. It has bar, resto, buffet. It has gym. The hotel is connected in its own mall. Shangri-La Plaza

To celebrate our first wedding anniversary, my husband and I had decided to have a staycation here in Manila as we would be bringing with us our two month old baby. We had a great stay in Edsa Shang hotel: we didn't have to wait long to check in/out as we had an infant with us. The breakfast buffet at HEAT was superb, and the service of the staff was excellent. My only concern was that when we got to the hotel room, I noticed that the sink had some black spots on it. We called housekeeping and they cleaned this right away. I didn't see this again until we were about to check out the following day. It seems that there is a clog in the sink, and some remnants of what is underneath would rise to the surface because of this. This concerned me as I would use the sink to wash the bottles that my baby uses. Hopefully this can be addressed soon. We stayed in room 406 at the Garden Wing.

Aside from this, though, we are very happy with our stay and we look forward to staying there again. :)

Accommodation was good and staff were friendly, especially Hermie, the housekeeper. However, after checking in, I got a call from the front desk asking again for my credit card information. I asked why when she already asked for my card/AMEX for incidental charges when I checked in. The staff informed me that she was not able to enter the information in the machine so I had to give the credit card information again over the phone. Another concern was the bathroom sink as it got clogged. I called the receptionist and reported the problem but no one came to fix it. I tried to figure out what was wrong and found out that the sink pop-up drain was broken. I was also disappointed with the bath towels and the bath robes because they looked overly used. Being a five star hotel and considering the cost of accommodation, the management should check the standard and quality of the rooms including towels and bath robes. The towels and bath robes that we used were not white anymore and texture was not comfortable to the skin. I wonder why a five star hotel like Edsa Shangrila would still give their guests towels and bath robes that are no longer in good condition.

Every morning when I went to breakfast the hostess would ask me what I wanted to drink. Every day I told her that I wanted decaffeinated tea. When I would get back to my table there was always Decaf Coffee waiting for me. I am not sure if it was a language barrier that caused the issue, however it was frustrating. I just quit asking for anything and would go get it myself. Otherwise everything else was very good. I especially liked that when I arrived at the hotel after my 32 hour flight, that there was someone who took me directly to my room instead of me having to go through the usual check-in process. This was very nice and very much appreciated.

The stay at Edsa Shangri-La was excellent right from the time I arrived at the hotel till my departure. The staff and the GM (who I had an opportune moment to walk into) are completely focused on the guests comfort and well being.

Staff was very courteous. The room was neat and clean. However, the old fresh scent of Shangrila in the past could not be appreciated in the bedroom. Also parking was full that even valet service was temporarily halted.

Really nice place! Five star in Filipino standards. Nice room service, people push the bell for you on the elevator. In the HEAT restaurant, the service is phenomenal. They pull out your chair for you, and when you leave to get more, they get you a new napkin. Plus there is make-your-own custom soup. The pool is nice.

We appreciate the kind accommodation and smart check-in as a walk-in couple and senior citizens. We enjoyed our stay and accommodations / amenities. Kudos to Nixon Aguas (not my kin), the room/floor attendant who was accommodating and obliging to a change of sheets, my visiting grandson threw up on the sheets. Thank you for the kindness!

Good day! It was such a pleasant experience to have stayed in Edsa Shangrila. Aside from the hotel's beautiful ambience , clean rooms, and excellent amenities like the swimming pool, what made it extra special was the courtesy and helpfulness of your staff. However, we were a bit surprised (and a bit disappointed) that we had to pay in order to use the tennis court as it was our deciding factor (the tennis court) why we chose Edsa Shangrila Hotel. But still it was a great weekend and looking forward for our next visit. Thank you!

always a good experience in EDSA Shang, we've been staying for New Year's Eve for the past couple of years. Breakfast buffet is great, rooms are great, access to Shangri La Mall is convenient. Staff are extremely friendly.

overall, it was a good stay. there's just one lady, we think she's the supervisor in the pool bar, who was not really friendly. I approached her to ask something but she was intently working on her cash register so I waited my turn. the guy beside her noticed me and asked how he can help, and this lady chose that moment to order the guy to get something for her "from upstairs" . the guy then motioned to me, and that's the only time she noticed I was there, and gave me a fake smile. if she cannot demonstrate social awareness, she won't be effective in such a customer centric job. unfortunately I wasn't able to get her name, but I do remember how she looks like. she has a bob haircut.

The car pick up was excellent. The car already waiting at pick up point. The driver was excellent service. But will be better to have a water in the car.
Arrived at mid night, the check in was slow, only one check in staff initially. Can be improved by deploy more check in staff when more guess were waiting.

The hotel was great as always. Daisy in the Chi spa is such a great associate. This was the third time to visit the spa and i look forward to my next visit with Daisy. She is the example of what all asociates should strive for. I also met Mirah in the lobby lounge. She went out of her way to make sure that things were good for me and the other guests. Daisy is the example for all other asociates to strive to be.

We are in the top 3 of the 100+ hotels we have stayed at.
I stayed about 5 times a week by 2013.
For some reason I was certified as a Gold member at the third stay, and a dedicated female staff member (beautiful woman) personally responded and guided me to the room at the dedicated check-in counter.
There was no Japanese food at the large restaurant with a view of the pool in the courtyard, but I was able to taste an unmatched authentic buffet.
It was the corporate rate of the supplier, but I didn't feel it was expensive.
I want to stay private someday, but there are only 3 star hotels in Quezon. That's not bad either.

Standard has dropped since years. Pricing became incredible high with less value in return. The buffet selection is becoming thinner and thinner especially in the area of Sushi, Cold Cuts and Cheese. Honey seems to be replaced by Syrup. Putting up a Curtain at the New Years event to protect other Hotel Guest from seeing the event is ridiculous and shows insanity of the Management. Even we had booked our overnight stay at Shangri La due to this concept we have decided to take our Dinner at Dusit Thani and also reserved there for our VIP New Year Event. We had familiar experience at Shangri La Makati during our xmas stay. For the future we will not stay at any Shangri La anymore. Very sad to write this review as we had many positive impressions over the last 10 years. Sadly management has changed the target to profitability and to get out most of their Guest without a reasonable return.

Great experience. We truly had a most enjoyable time there with the whole family. From the younger ones to our parents. The service and hospitality was great. The food for breakfast was amazing and the fitness center was very nice as well. Made for a really pleasant stay.
