My son recently had an issue with his 2011 Accord ...

My son recently had an issue with his 2011 Accord V6 with about 90K miles....the problem, the engine is needing replacement at his expense. The cars history; 85-90% of the oil changes and 100% of all work on this car was performed at certified Honda dealerships. (there is documentation to prove this record). Royal informed him that they found a "bolt" that was located in and floating around in one of the cylinders which caused the engine to fail. Supposedly this bolt came into the engine through the air intake and was there for quite some time (Royals words not mine). Hang on folks, this is where the story gets interesting. My son spoke with American Honda which settled a class action lawsuit against this 3.5 V6 engine for failures due to poor design with piston rings. Honda issued this Technical Service Bulletin (TSB #11-033) in July of 2011 that quietly acknowledged the problem. (interestingly, no recall was ever mailed to customers) The engine now miracualously has a bolt in a piston, ruining the engine, even though this region of the car hasn't been touched by a mechanic for thousands of miles. Forgive me here, but it walks like a duck (3.5 liter V6), and sounds like a duck (class action suit) but we're told it's an elephant (bolt in a piston)....How could this be? The last hand(s) to be near the air intake area of this car was Royal Honda. Sadly, we took Honda dealerships workmanship in good faith that all work would be done professionally and with expertise. Should we have filmed/Go-Pro'd the mechanics work to verify it being done correctly? Is Royal Honda or American Honda pinnocio-ing the issue? We've owned numerous Honda/Acura vehicles over the years. I'm normally hard to convince otherwise and change my mind but Royal Honda with the help of American Honda sure did a great job to turn this family into Toyota fans. Shame on you Royal Honda! Shame on you American Honda! Disppointing to say the least. Truely disappointing.

Thank you for responding to my concerns but there is another issue I have to ask. Why then when my son asked you numerous times to remove the said bolt, was it not completed? I still feel the loose item was a faulty ring that broke loose and ruined the engine. Now that he had to wholesale the car for a fraction of the price he should have received, I guess we'll never know. I realize American Honda has/had the final say so in the matter but I question their decision on the "facts" you provided. If you couldn't remove the bolt after numerous requests (3 or more conversations) I really question your mechanic's assessment. How did they know it was a "bolt" if they in fact didn't or could't even remove the item from the piston? You could have acted as an advocate on his behalf but instead chose to go a different route. One that I call lackadaisical. Not the best way to conduct ones business and advertise your service center as "Fixed Right the First Time" First time???? To my knowledge you had three times or more to remove the object. The automotive world is just too competative to not listen to customers requests.

Even though we first got to the dealership less than 30 minutes before closing, from the minute we arrived, we were greeted and welcomed. It was the first time I purchased a brand new car, and it was a great experience from beginning of the visit through the purchase. There was none of the haggling over price, that I thought was something that was part of the process. My salesman, Alton Clivens was so nice and friendly, and forthcoming with information, that it put us right at ease. Also, Anthony Hall, who handled the financing, was excellent, as well. In fact, everyone who we came into contact with at Royal Honda was very nice. Thanks for the great experience, Royal Honda, and I'm loving my new HR-V.

My experience at Royal Honda was a very pleasurable one. My sales associate Alberto Torres did everything he could to meet my needs in so far as finding me the car that I wanted in the color I wanted with all the features that I wanted. He was very helpful in seeing that I kept my car note low and even managed to get money back for me. I would highly recommend him to family and friends in purchasing a car.

Today was my first time bringing my car to get serviced. The guy, Steven, at the desk was very rude. A car was parked in the service area. I said where do I have to go. In a rude manner, he said, just pull up. I asked another question. He didn't try to explain the process. THe shunned me, said just pull up, and walked off. They are lucky a free oil change came with our 2017 Honda CRV or else i would've brought my car elsewhere. It's to hot for this.

Don Delaune is the person that makes sure my vehicle gets the attention that it needs promptly. He is always courteous and informative. He takes the time to look over my documents to assure that the company is adhering to the terms we agreed upon at the purchase of the vehicle. He explains what the problem is, how it might have happened, how it will be solved, how long it will take, and the cost to make it happen. I like it when my warranty covers it!! Communication seems to be effective with the rest of the staff. It s run like a well-oiled machine. It may not be in his job description but he is on the look out for a very special necklace that I believe I lost while there. I m sooooo sad because it s not made anymore. He has empathy and I like that. I hope they find it!

My car salesperson, Phil Brock, was not there but even he texted to tell me I could call if I needed anything. It was Mardi Gras and I thought I would not be able to get through so I contacted everyone. They all got back to me and I was there the Wednesday after Fat Tuesday.

The gentlemen was kind when he had to come and get the key that I didn t leave. He was polite and patient because I had a lot going on- I did lesson plans while waiting. I worked the entire time!!

Daphne, the cashier was so nice and patient. I couldn t find my card but she patiently waited while I situated myself. Thanks for your kindness!

I love it when my car magically pulls up from the back all taken care of by the staff in the back with the talent, great minds, and magical hands. Thank you. It s appreciated.

With the exception of losing my necklace, I had a great experience.

1st let me start off by saying , I truly thought I was going to be let down ready for total rejection and to be on to the next . From the moment I walked in I was greeted by warm friendly faces. Everyone had there mask on and ready to take action. I next spoke with The (FINANCE MANAGER ) ANTHONY HALL , and (the sales consultant) ALTON CLIVENS . and from that point on I knew I was in good hands , they reassured me , that they would take care of me , no need to look any further. The staff treated me like family, the same way as if they would treat their daughter mother or sister , my experience here , ultimately far by surpassed my expectations.
The gentlemen (Anthony and Alton) definitely knows how to treat there costumers, and are willing to help with any and everything no matter the situation ...Anthony and alton are more concerned about the customer's well being and affordability when it comes to car sales. With all of that being said , I just knew rejection was on my list of comings ..... BUT I m here to say I was able to Get a NICE CAR , within my price range. Although my credit wasn't good at all they still managed to get me an inexpensive car!!!!!! From the bottom of my heart I just want to personally say thank You to Mr. Anthony Hall and Alton Clivens. If I could ild leave zero stars!!

Came to royal Honda for service on my vehicle because my dealership is a few hours away and currently here for school. That was the worst decision ever. Not only was I rudely disregarded by the staff but the service done on my vehicle was the worst ever.

First, when you arrive there's no one to assist you with checking in process of getting your vehicle serviced. You're just continually told to move your car when you haven't even agreed to drop it off for service yet. Next, the staff is not very helpful. I have warranty for my car and wanted it to be fixed under that since I purchased it for the vehicle and was repeatedly told to go to some auto shop to get it fixed. why wouldn't they do it?! Finally, I told the service manager I paid for warranty through Honda then Honda should fix it. If it's taken somewhere else then they should be held accountable for it not make me go all over town to do that myself. What's the point of the warranty then. So I for went this bad vibe I was getting and left my car with them to be fixed.

When it came time to finally pick up my car, I did not receive a call that it was done. Instead I had to call them and check when it was to be finished. It was past the time frame I was told the service would take. So unprofessional!

Upon picking up my car they said they still have not gotten it back yet and had to wait an extra 30 minutes on top of the 30 minutes they said they would need to go get it when I called. granted I went an hour later after calling them since I also had to return the rental I got.

When I was finnaly given my car back the rim that was suppose to be fixed has a significant drill hole in it and the manager told me to take it back to the auto shop cause they wouldn't do anything about it. They shouldn't even have taken it with that hole there. Not to mention I had requested the leather seats be reconditioned cause there was a weird stain for my car being two months old. But that was also not done either and was told to take it to a detailing shop. They weren't even concerned about the kind of job was done for me.

This place just keeps making up excuses for them not to do anything. The way I see it, is these people are the worst you'll ever encounter. Hed my warning. Don't come to this place. You'll end up paying a lot more to fix your car correctly!

I recently just bought the new 2013 Accord and let me tell you that Royal Honda was the best dealer around town that was able to sell me the car in my price range and they actually knew useful information about the car. I've been through all the dealers around the New Orleans Metro area and most of them just try to talk to you to get you to like them. But at Royal they sell you the car, as in giving you much info about the car before you purchase. That is what made then different from the others. Also the salesperson Jared Hotard was very kind and gave me excellent service. He never pushed or pressured me into buying the car. Not only during the car purchasing process he offered excellent service but also after the purchase he made sure I was 100% satisfied with my car and as of right now if I had any question about the vehicle or needed assistance it would not be a bother. I would highly recommend purchasing a Honda at Royal Honda and Jared Hotard

Called for an appointment for an oil change but couldn't get one because they were super busy but they told me just to come in. So that's what I did, dropped it off thinking it could be there all day to fit me in and they were finished within a maybe 2 hours they called me it was finished. Every time I have received excellent service, so very happy with Royal Honda.

Over the years I have bought 10 cars and trucks. Purchasing a car from their was the worst. The price of the car and warranties that were quoted and in black and white. Further on in the purchasing of the car I was told the prices was improper and I had to pay more for both after agreeing We agree upon the price.
With your price writen to you is not ture thier.
Won't step foot back in that dealership again.

Used early bird drop off, got a call, two texts, by 9:00, that the job was in progress. Service department representative Roy Sellars, handled our Honda CRV case quickly and efficiently. He reviewed in detail all work done, specifically, patiently, addressed our disappointment about the battery and the need to replace after 17 months and two jumps... reviewed all areas of the completed job..
Heads up Honda design team....Time to redesign/update/improve this woefully inadequate battery for these multiple, electric system car!!!!!
Thankful to get the direct line of the service agent, as contacting on the Royal phone system can be quite involved, time consuming!!!!

I appreciate the genuine experience given at Royal by Nate and David. These gentleman were extremely professional and displayed care in the selection, pricing and delivery of my purchase. Nate, my salesman, didn't hesitate to answer my questions concerning airbag recalls and provided written proof of my vehicle's service history. The front desk receptionist was also overly helpful to me in locating various establishments I needed to visit within the area. The facilities and the vehicles were extremely clean at the pre-owned section and I have already recommended potential buyers of my experience at Royal.

We ve purchased 3 used vehicles from Royal Honda in the past several years, (2 in the past 8 months). The process has been painless & even pleasant, which hasn t been my overall experience at other used car lots in the past. At Royal Honda, we never felt hassled, stressed, or pressured.

Our salesmen, Felipe Pazmino & Nat La Beaud; were both personable, pleasant, professional, & never pushy. The finance manager, Anthony Hall, presented the extra warranty options & details clearly, but again not pushy. On our most recent purchase, the general sales manager, Walter Wild, presented us with a very welcomed Friends & Family discount, (without us even asking), seeing that we were frequent flyers with Royal Honda.

The Carfax report was made readily available both online & in person, & there was no problem with us bringing the vehicles to our personal mechanic for a thorough check each time. (On our most recent purchase, our salesman even dropped off & picked up the vehicle from OUR mechanic while we were at work.) After the vehicles received a clean bill of health from our mechanic, the sales paperwork was ready for us upon our arrival, no waiting around wasting our time.

Upon completion of all sales paperwork, our vehicles were presented to us clean/detailed, & with FULL tanks of gas, & even a dozen long stemmed roses! To top it off, our license plate was personally delivered & installed onto the cars once they came in. It doesn t really get any better than that!

My husband and I were looking for a larger vehicle...

My husband and I were looking for a larger vehicle for our family. After much research we agreed on liking the Buick Enclave. After looking at multiple dealerships we chose Royal a Honda. It helped also that our neighbors bought two new vehicles and were satisfied with their purchases. When there we decided to buy our enclave and yes it was not new it was used. We were told the only issue it had was the power lift gate was broke. No big deal it was a 200.00 fix for us not a deal breaker. They then handed us a list of repairs including a full inspection on our vehicle and even noted they looked at the power steering and added fluid. Dave talked us into buying the power train plus extended warranty policy for our vehicle. Being a used vehicle we thought it was a great option for us in case something went wrong on the vehicle we would be covered on big expenses. I then learned my car was supposed to have power mirrors on it. But when we bought it it was not disclosed to us that they were suppose to work and didn t (1,400.00 repair cost) for those like us didn t know. After two weeks of having the vehicle I noticed it was making a hard thump noise as well as steaming from my hood. I then called their service department and was instructed to wait until the policy takes affect. He also suggested I go to a Buick dealership when I do so they would have the parts I needed for any repairs instead of them having to order them and wait. I thought ok this guy is really looking out for us. Well, then the vehicle was taken to the Buick dealer and we were told in total there were 6 major issues with the vehicle that had a cost of $4,347.63. These were strut issues, front and lower control bushing, leaking power steering gear, and core hoses. All not covered by the warranty. Needless to say I was very upset. I called the dealership and spoke with Dave. He had seemed deeply concerned and acted like he was going to help us fix these problems. I was told to bring the car there right away after leaving the Buick dealership. So I spoke with Dave who said he personally wanted to get involved to see if he could help. I thought wow what a great guy. After multiple calls and messages left for Roy (parts manager) Mike (supposedly head sales manager) and Dave, I finally got a call back at 4:45 pm the day after I left my car for a update. Immediately Dave tells me that none of the listed items where not going to put me on the side of the road tomorrow so they were not going to help fix anything. I then asked but why does it say you checked the power steering on the car but it is actually broke? His answer was they filled it as a temporary fix. I repeat a temporary fix and as a delearship they are not required to disclose every problem wrong with the car. I couldn t believe what I was hearing. They knew there was a 1400.00 plus problem on the car but neglected to tell us. They put a band aid on it to sell it. So he then got angry with me on the phone told me my car was ready to get and my paperwork was at the front. I said ok I will get it. While there I asked to speak with Mike, because to me this was not right. I brought up the issues with the car 2 weeks after buying it. He explained he has a son on the way and understood what it means to have a safe vehicle when you have kids riding in it. I then asked for the owners email so I could email him, he wouldn t give that to me. He said he would bring it up in a meeting first thing in the morning. I explained I was going to work for a 12 hour shift through the weekend, and he said he would email me the outcome, it is now the day after and no email, no call, and they don t care. I even had asked if they would consider fixing the problems on the car and we could pay installments to them as we had just paid 9,100.00 cash for the car and just paid my sons school tuition for next year. But yet I get nothing. I want to warn anyone considering buying a used vehicle from this company not to. They put band-aids on major issues and don t care about anything else but the sale. It s a shame.

BUYER BEWARE! My husband and I went to look at a preowned vehicle. The first salesperson we spoke with was friendly, but we were soon passed to another salesperson (no big deal, he was nice enough). As we were discussing the price of the car, it became clear there would be no negotiation. The preowned vehicle office is open cubicles, so everyone can hear everyone s conversations. We did not even get an opportunity to discuss the price alone and decide if we wanted to proceed. While we were voicing our concerns to the sales associate, the sales manager, Daniel Morse, came over and immediately began talking over us and became extremely condescending. I don t know what kind of sales tactic it is to talk to customers like children and tell us to get some real world experience, but that is certainly no way to get business from me. I am very disappointed and will not purchase from them in the future. Be on guard when you go look for a preowned vehicle at Royal Honda!

Went in for an oil change and wheel alignment with an appointment at 11am. At 12:53pm I went to check on my car to see how much longer it would take because I had another appointment at 1pm. The guy acted like I was bothering him by asking. He had zero interest in helping me and absolutely no sense of urgency. I had to start giving him an attitude to get him to actually do something. When he did get going, he went with a sales guy to do something else first. Then he came and found me in the waiting area and didn t even walk over to me. He just motioned for me to come and told me it would be about 10 minutes. When I asked if I could pay while I was waiting he didn t even show me where the cashier was. He just walked away. The cashier barely said anything to me and when I asked her about it all she just shrugged her shoulders and asked for my payment. When I got out to my car the windows were rolled down in the cold and there was another car in the way. I saw that they didn t even vacuum the drivers side and when I asked about it the guy acted like he didn t know anything. There wasn t even anyone at my car to talk to me about what they did or to give me any feedback about what they saw.
I don t know why it could have possibly taken 2 hours to get an oil change, but I will never go back! This was a horrible experience. And I m sure the guy that I asked to help me find out the status of my vehicle talked badly about me when I left cus I heard him say she was a piece of work about another customer earlier. Needless to say, I will never go back!!

Listened to what I had to say about the issue I was having with my vehicle .Let me know what steps they were going to take to order part and kept me informed about status. Had to rekey ignition switch. Key hangs up a little probably because it is new. Otherwise repair was done well. Courtesy ride home is always a plus .

if i can, i would give negative stars. worst service ever! So awful, never seen anyone more rude than the general manger Tony LaRosa! Royal made us go through all those extra trouble we are never supposed to have. Instead of trying to figure out where went wrong, it blamed us. Tried to negotiate with the general manager, he kicked us out of the office with such a terrible attitude. No wonder i heard this place got bad reviews. With such rude management team, no wonder your place is failing. People should stop going there! Because they will blame yourself for their mistake and ask yourself to pay for their mistakes!

The service writer was very nice, however it didn't matter this place is a TOTAL RIP off! Now im not dumb and I know the dealership generally overpriced for service but holy crap this place is ridiculous.

They wanted $225 DOLLARS TO CHANGE MY SPARK PLUGS. Don't bring your car here for service unless its brand new.

I want to start by saying Thank You . Thank you for another wonderful experience in car buying. My name is Dominic A. Geraci and I am 62 years young. From the age of 10, I grew up in a family business that my father started from a second hand bread truck into a 15 fleet delivery business. I learned at very young age that people do business with people they like and that the most important ingredient is TRUST. This is never a given, but is earned every time we engage in another transaction. We may not know all the variables that make up this trust, and as time goes on we learn how people are so different and even we change during our own lives. The Geraci family has been doing business with Royal Team since the days you sold Oldsmobiles at a different location. The Royal dealership added on another line to its fleet. My mother and father bought a Mazda MPV van from you and loved it so much they repeated a second MPV from the same salesmen years later. I remember Royal moving to its current location and then started selling Honda products exclusively. I believe the TEAM ROYAL has learned how to reincarnate themselves to the changing times over and over again. This was smart business. I do not know how many employees have come and gone, but the Royal concept has never changed! You guys know how to groom floorwalkers into a salesperson that caters to the buyer s needs and wants. My brother worked for Royal some years ago and moved on. He is proud to say some of the reasons he is successful in sales were learned at Royal. I, like many family and friends, have bought multiple vehicles from Royal Honda, this past weekend has to top them all. I owned a 2017 Ridgeline Black Edition and loved it like all my Honda products. I keep up with the trends of new technology and safety Honda adds to its lines of products. Well, Saturday I was traveling westbound on Veterans Hwy and noticed a person in a tie wiping and cleaning a pretty red car parked near the curb in the parking lot. I also noticed he was wearing tennis shoes. I said out loud, I wonder if Royal now makes all their employees wear ties (HA HA) or is this salesmen wearing tennis shoes because as a team player he is willing to do what needs to done to keep buyers happy? I realize the world has certainly changed in the past few weeks especially for the entire business world. A lot of businesses will fail and never reopen so only the smart ones will survive. I chose to turn around and pull into the parking lot across from Alton. I asked him if was a salesmen and does he have a 2020 Black Edition to sell. He yes to both looking at me without stopping to clean the red car. I then said if it has the new upgrades I saw on the internet for 2020, and if so, maybe we can do business. He stopped cleaning and introduced himself with confidence he would sell it to me. I learned the dealership was on a skeleton crew due to the world conditions and was glad to see how happy and friendly the whole staff was. That explained why Alton was wearing tennis shoes, and was impressed to see him run from parking lot to inside helping a buyer who was there by appointment to pick up their car as well as also trying to help me. I respected the fact that he had customers at his desk and sat to wait my turn. There were not too many customers coming in as I sat waiting and was introduced to Mr. Marteen. He knew timing is everything and I had been waiting awhile so had defused my frustration and for the next hour we talked about business, families, and life in general. He worked the numbers and I said too much! Alton was still making his customers happy so I wanted him. Marteen worked the numbers some more until we struck a deal. Let s face it the definition of a good deal is both sides are happy, right? He then let Alton do the finalization of the sale which took almost two hours. WEEE!! At the end of the day, I will spread the word Royal Honda will survive this crisis because that s what GOOD BUSINESSES DO.

Alton was a great salesman person and Anthony was a great financing person I mean I walked in waited 5 minutes and Alton walked up and greeted me and we took off from there I got my SUV truck now after being turned down from 2 dealerships..I m so excited about it, I will recommend you guys to my family and friends.I look forward to doing business with you guys in the future..

I arrived at scheduled time and was cared for immediately. I asked questions since this was my 1st visit since purchasing my car and my 1st Honda. My questions were answered with patience. I waited only 1 hour for my service to be completed. The waiting area was comfortable and refreshments were available. My experience today was very satisfactory and I thank all who helped me.

The Service staff members of Royal Honda are extremely helpful and knowledgeable . On each occasion that I have brought my car in for basic maintenance service or a concern, Mr Sellers has spent time with me going over details of work requested , work which may be needed, and/or concerns and options. The work completed is always approved by me and details of the cost are clear and concise. Mr Sellers takes the time to send me updates and approximate time of completion. The completed work has always been as described and expected. I feel secure that my car is in good hands and will be maintained to enhance long life ...... which is important to everyone.

I was visiting from Texas when my shift knob broke...

I was visiting from Texas when my shift knob broke and I was stranded. Don Delaune advised me how to get the vehicle moving again, got me slotted in the service schedule and had the vehicle fixed all in one afternoon! I was amazed...I thought this would take a couple of days since this was Thanksgiving week.

Can't say enough good things about Royal Honda service, and Don's help in getting me out of a unexpected problem. Thank you for your help!

My recent experience at Royal Honda was excellent from start to finish the time that I took ownership of my Cr-V. Had a great salesman Warren Weaver whom was very informative and very helpful. Also met with Anthony Hall who was very informative and remembered me from 2 years ago. Would definitely recommend Royal Honda to everyone.

Roy at Royal Honda greeted me as soon as I drove up. He provided me with his business card and made sure while my car was being serviced he came and saw me in the waiting area to give me updates (time frame). I appreciate the fabulous service. Great service, people and place. I like getting my Honda serviced at Royal. Thank you!

Everything was excellent! Waiting room was clean. All personal were friendly and efficient. Didn't have to wait to have my car worked on. All that was wrong with my car was an oil change and tire rotation.

The staff here is great. I recently had quite a bit of work done on my car and my quote reflected it, but the staff was able to get me a discount of about $500. They also have a shuttle service that dropped me off at home so I didn't have to call a taxi. Additionally less than 2 weeks after getting my repairs and new tires, I got a flat. The staff was able to get me in same day, the tire was covered under warranty, and the staff was able to knock off the labor charge so all I payed was taxes on the flat. If you're looking for great customer service, look no further.

Alton and Chad make a KILLER sales team. Their patience and diligence helped me feel comfortable in my decision to walk out with my new 2017 Accord. They were able to answer all my questions so easily. And Dave, the finance manager, fought hard to ensure I was comfortable with how the numbers looked. All in all, I can easily say this is my go-to dealership. The staff are super-friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and really easy to work with.

My husband and I recently purchased a Honda Pilot from Chad Lewis. Chad was helpful from the start. He stood outside in the cold weather with us taking us back and forth to several different models. The ones we viewed that night were not the right fit for us but Chad kept his word and called us as soon as something different came in. He also waited with us while we waited on Anthony Hall, the swiftest finance manager at Royal. Chad was with us until 10 pm on a Saturday finalizing our deal. Chad Lewis was the perfect salesman from the start; professional and extremely informative. He made the sales process smooth. We traded in a 2003 Honda Accord and gave us a great deal. Chad also helped us clean our personal belongings out of the vehicle.

I would highly recommend Chad Lewis to anyone looking to buy.

I am on my 3rd lease and my experience has always been great. If I am ever unsure about anything Alton always reassures me. He has the ability to sense my needs and his product knowledge is amazing. By the way, thanks to him both of my daughters are now driving Hondas.
