I just graduated college! I was in Stopover for several months. the staff help find jobs and school. I'm so happy to show that this place works for only those that want to succeed. One day I will give money to help support the program.

This program does a great job at giving youth a second chance for a better life. The staff does an amazing job to support and motivate the residents and there should be more shelters like this in our city.

from a bad and yet sad point of view i can say that there is a lot of things not being cleared yet for only for people like me who have been in programs and better structure groups way better than this ... they literally like someone posted about 2 Boys being there exits everyone out one of the boys brought weed into the house giving to BCP or emergency shelter kids and they sent him on vacation for 30 days yet to put me in the room with him and he came back after the remaining time of me leaving there another boy which is sad because i tried reaching out to give him advice because he pretty much doesn't have anything resources wise or what might help him at least survive in the future he just follows people who arent a good influence yet setting him up for failure .. and staff explains about these people arent are friends but yet why does it have to be a comptieiton to succeed or to help one another and I am On the Youth Advocate for youth and crisis but suppose to let somebody like myself fail not me sorry .. anyone 17- or up i suggest you find better help and things in place because this is not the place

As a parent of a former Stopover resident both in the emergency shelter and transitional living program. I think a lot of people with negative reviews have it wrong. My child experience there was nothing but positive and they learned a very important life lesson. Which was when you chose to go out on your own you become responsible for your action and behavior. Stopover removes a great deal of obstacles out of the way for homeless youth so they can thrive and ask very little in return. I think most youth can benefit from the program if they are serious about becoming independent. However, I feel most youth even my son feel entitled and believe they shouldn't have consequences for their actions. I sincerely believe Stopover gives every youth a fair chance to succeed but I also believe some youth don't take advantage of the opportunity. When they leave program usually because they couldn't or wouldn't follow the rules they never tell the wrong things they did to get removed from Stopover but the wrong things they believe the Stopover did to them. As I tell my son even today nobody owes you anything especially when they are helping you!!!!!!!!

This place is a joke they kicked me and my friend out cause I was taking her to work in my personal vehicle. THIS PLACE CLAIMS TO HELP YOU BUT THEY GIVE YOU 2 weeks TO GET YOUR LIFE TOGETHER AND NO RESOURCES TO HELP YOU. They SAY THE PROVIDE BUS PASSES BUT THEY DONT...they SAY THEY PROVIDE FOOD BUT THEY DONT ...they WILL KICK YOU OUT THEN PUT YOUR CLOTHES IN TRASH BAGS AND PUT THEM ON THE CURVE ...(I HAVE VIDEOS AND PICS of everything I said and witnesses to back me up) currently in the prices of Trynna get a news interview to get this place shut down...Courtney did my intake and Courtney is the one who kicked us out...they use government funding to support them ...at stop over you get the bare minimum maybe not even that ..they have such a low success rate if they program I m surprised no one Has stepped in
