I ordered a power amp for my Cadillac CTS. They didn't have one available so I looked at one for the SRX and it looked right. The connector didn't fit unfortunately. To make a long story short it was undamaged but they refused to take it back and I have a $150 piece of metal sitting at home. It's a cheap to order from but you should only get simple things like spark plugs or ignition coils etc. Buy locally. They'll probably get shut down sometime. Today I got some wrong parts from them and had to pay return shipment. I may not get any money back. These are dadgum thieves, I aint going there again.

Ordered an alternator that they said would fit my 2002 Subaru Outback and when i got it and tried to install it didn't fit. The hole for one of the bolts to secure it was off by 1/8 in thus making it so i couldn't bolt it in. Tried to return it to get a different one and because it had a little grease on it they wouldn't refund my money. I will never order parts from them again, ill stick to Napa!! There lucky i don't throw the part thru their window!!
I am so frustrated with RockAuto. If I order 10 parts, I have to send 7 back. Their descriptions do not match their pictures. If you call to complain, they say the part can say metal which mean it's not plastic but can be aluminum or cast when the picture clearly shows metal(steel). They list parts that fit other vehicles mixed in with the parts for the vehicle being search. This is making me crazy. Anyone reading this needs to buy elsewhere. Realistically, after adding shipping the part is the same as you can buy on eBay with free shipping. GET IT TOGETHER RockAuto!
False advertising I ordered a key less remote not knowing that I was not going to get the printed circuit board and now they are saying I can't return product. The part did not show the printed circuit board because the remote was closed.
RockAuto.com is a great place to get parts for your ride. One of RockAuto.com positive points is the selection. Personally I like to stick to brand I know, but sometimes the wallet directs us to lesser known brands. I have been pleasantly surprised by the quality of these other brands.
Permanently stopped doing business with them 1). Don't refund your money instead they they apply a store credit 2). No one in customer service, always refer you to the website. 3). Always charge for shipping and they're shipping rates are insanely expensive!? When I want to discontinue business with a company, why would I want a store credit? Why would I want to go to a company that does not have anybody in customer service?
I had rotors recalled by the manufacturer that I purchased through rock auto. I have purchased from rock auto in the past and had a good experience. The only thing is now I have to communicate with them regarding a return. Their customer service is non existant and it's making a bad situation worse.
I purchased a disk brake kit with rotors and pads. The rotors were correct but the pads were not. I filled out a questionnaire about the problem with a response coming shortly after that via email. I was told that if the rotors fit, the pads had to fit. Then they checked my VIN and told me I had a different car than I actually had. So I checked the VIN and sent them back the information. In the meantime I purchased a set of pads from Amazon. They worked without any installation problems. I've been using Rock Auto for years but this is the first time I've had to deal with their customer service. Without a doubt, this was the worst experience I've had with any one. There was no offer to replace the pads, refund my money, etc. The line just went dead. I will never purchase anything from Rock Auto again.
This company does not care about its customers. They sent the wrong parts and were insulting and uncaring about a return. The customer service rep was rude, argumentative and not helpful. Do NOT order from this company...there are many other companies out there ready to get and keep you as a satisfied and respected customer..don't waste your time with Rock Auto.
My first time using RA. Nice web-site and pretty user friendly, got here pretty fast. My only complaint is that the replacement part was not an exact replacement, had to do some minor mods. Didn't fix the problem, which is not your fault. As long as I can wait a day or two for my part, I would use RA again.
I have been happy with RockAuto -- Seems to be good delivery time and quality, saved a lot of money. With my last order (146752608} I ordered a PCV valve. Rock Auto shipped a belt. Their system will not acknowledge the error. There is no other way to contact them - No phone, no email. I will contest the charge with the credit card company. Can't risk doing business with them again. Bye Bye
Initial delivery of parts fast. Wrong parts sent. Company would not send actual parts until they received parts we got. This is not unreasonable except they messed the order up and we are in a crunch now because of it. All we requested was to send the correct parts as we returned the ones we got. They can track it through the mail. But they will not send until their warehouse actually restocks the parts. When we called to ask for a manager to see what we could do, their staff through us back into the call que to wait again until finally the next person put us through to a manager. We have no trust in this organization and will not be doing business again with them.
The last two times I ordered from rockauto my order was changed from a quantity 1 to quantity 4. The first time I didn't notice until my part and extra parts arrived. The second time i noticed right after my order placed i'm sure there was only 1 in the cart but my order showed 4. I changed it back to 1 but probably now my order is going to take longer. Please fix this.
ROCK AUTO SHIPPED ME THE WRONG STRUTS FOR MY HONDA. I CROSS CHECKED THE SHIPPING LABELS AND NUMBERS AND IT APPEARED I HAD THE RIGHT ONE; AFTER INSTALLING THEM IT ENDED UP THAT I COULD NOT MAKE A FRONT END ALIGNMENT. AFTER $1100 IN PARTS AND LABOR TO A HONDA DEALER TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM I CALLED ROCK AUTO. JOE, ONE OF THEIR REPS, TOLD ME THAT THEY WOULD RECEIVE THE PARTS BACK AND REFUND ME ONLY THE COSTS OF MY PARTS. HE EXPLAINED THAT THEY WOULD NOT HELP REIMBURSE ME FOR THE EXTRA EXPENSE THAT THEIR SHIPPING MISTAKE CAUSED. IT APPEARS ROCK AUTO DOES NOT CARE ABOUT HELPING THE CUSTOMER OUT. I WILL NOT BUY ANY PARTS AND I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE USE ROCK AUTO ANY LONGER. GOOD PRICES AND EASE OF ORDER DOES NOT MAKE UP FOR THE $1100 I LOST!
Ordered a part from the website, received the part and it does not fit my vehicle, the part they shipped is for a previous year model line, the error is on the rock auto site. They wont issue a full refund even though the error is on their side. Because they dont have any working phone numbers, email, or chat options I can't even let them know about the error on their side, nor can I dispute the charges. Lesson learned, I will never order from rockauto again. I'd rather pay 20% more knowing I can get a hold of someone if there is a problem rather than going through the bbb or credit card dispute for a full refund.
After calling to confirm to the right part numbers and listening to their recommendations of which rotors and pads to go with I went ahead and purchased them. I had a reputable local shop put them on. My first clue should have been the brake shop asking me if this is really what I was putting on my car. Even after following the manufactures recommended break in steps the brakes warped. They didn't just warp, they warped to the point the car would vibrate so hard I get a back massage out of it. So I contacted rock auto and they told me due to the varying styles of driving they couldn't replace the rotors. If I drove like a mad man I could understand this BUT having a newborn I'm the slow guy that everyone is passing. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THIS PLACE AGAIN
ROCKAUTO is in my opinion the only online web site that a person can actually navigate with limited computer skills. (great for us older generatation) . The ordering process was easy and flawless. $$Their prices were more then competitive and some were cheaper then said competitors.$$ Overall ROCKAUTO IS A 10+ COMPANY, AND PRODUCTS ORDERED WERE WHAT I ASKED FOR AND DELIVERED RIGHT ON TIME. THE STAFF MADE NO MISTAKES. All my future business will be exclusive to rockauto, short of a product they do not carry. For you old timers scared of the internet, have no fear it was a very simple process, and surprisingly easy. summit racing lost my business now and future do to their inferior webpage.
My order was over $200 for 4 different cars and several parts. The order was quick and prices 80% lower than local stores. I simply don't know how they do it? each item was packed carefully in bubble wraps and small box's inside big box. It took about a week to arrive. The items had Napa branding on them. for those who don't know Napa is as good as it gets for aftermarket. Happy as hell and yes this is my 3rd order.
I've got several dozen of the car magnets on my toolbox so I guess I'm a fairly heavy user. Basically I use Rock if I'm not in a major hurry because prices are almost always equal / less than local. I like the closeout parts which can be extraordinary bargains. Quality hasn't been an issue.

Ordered part that was defective and found out after it was installed. Internet lets you send back but who pays to take it off and reinstall new one. Can't talk to no one from company. I have ordered a lot of items from them and this is really a manufacturer's fault but no one will answer their corporate phone to tell you how to get hold of manufacturer. Good prices aren't good when you have to pay twice to install them.
I recently had the worst experience with Rock Auto and I may plan to else where from now on. I was told many of times not to use R.A. but I never had an issue. Until I purchased a replacement air/smog blower for my S600 Mercedes. The part costs almost $400 but I purchased it. I did not know that the faulty part that I had was being replaced and was under warranty. So when I got the newly purchased item (the one that was nearly $400), I pulled both from the boxes and tried to find anything significant that would warrant me keeping the more expensive part. I did not so I packed the $400 part and shipped it back, and replaced the faulty part with the warranty part. Well I was contacted by R.A. support and they told me that they can not refund me because it was sent in the wrong box! Can you believe this!?!? So because I made a mistake and placed it in the wrong box (a cardboard box), it is going to cost me nearly $400 dollars?? That is insane! I tried to see if they could make some consideration and offered to take less out of the inconvenience for them, but they would not budge. I have never seen such lack of customer service for a customer who has spent thousands of dollars for parts, in less than a year. It is sad because they will lose my service and money (no matter how little I matter in the scheme of things, compared to their overall customers), because they could not for this one instance refund me my money. It is sad as hell to lose possible thousands more, for $400 that is nothing to them.
I have been using rock auto for 9 years and have spent thousands with them they have been amazing untill the beging of this year things have taken months to ship returns have been made impossible they have no customer service. And some times you will order things and they don't show up and you get charged for them. I am sad to say YOU SHOULD NOT USE ROCKAUTO. I do not know what has changed they must have changed owner ship but they suck now.
I am based in the UK so its either get ripped off by uk sellers or take a chance well I took a chance on Rock Autos and have not been disappointed. my S397 mustang was looked after by them and now its my C4 that is getting their parts treatment. I find the site easy to use prices competitive and delivery first class. I recommend them to my yank owning friends and get reviews from them so give them a chance I am sure you will come out smiling
I have been buying parts from Rock Auto for several years now. They always have the best prices out there, the least expensive shipping cost, and the most knowledgeable Customer Service Reps. I just ordered a bunch of Exhaust parts at 11 AM on 9/2/15 and they were at my door LESS THAN 24 HOURS LATER...!! That is some impressive processing and shipping. I have never had a less than perfect experience. You can't go wrong with these guys..!!
After seeing the numerous advertisements for Rock Auto on TV, I ended up ordering two engine air filters from Rock Auto. Their prices were much cheaper than any B&M store and even Amazon so that is why I decided to order from them.
The filters arrived about a week later and I went to install them in my car. The first filter fit perfectly as I expected, however when I opened the second box and tried to install, the filter wouldn't fit. I examined the filter closely and noticed the part number on the filter did not match the part number that was on the box it came in. I removed the other filter I had just installed to compare it to the filter that wouldn't fit and I confirmed that both filters were slightly different shapes so of course it would not fit.
I don't know how this could happen unless I got an open box item and Rock Auto misboxed it. My order and receipt confirm I ordered two of the exact same item, so this mistake is all on Rock Auto's end.
I called Customer service and they acknowledged that the part was misboxed. They immediately sent a return label for me to return the incorrect part. They authorized the return and after sending off the incorrect part, I went to my local auto parts store and just bought it from there. It ended up costing $15 more, but at least I know I got the correct part this time. I eventually got my money back for the wrong filter. The shipping was not refunded, but that may have been because I only had to return one filter and the shipping would have been the same had I ordered just one filter. So I won't make a big deal out of that.
When I buy parts, I expect them to be the correct part especially when ordering online. I could understand this if I ordered the wrong part, but I clearly ordered the correct items. I don't understand how a completely different part could be placed in a box that says it s something else. I'm not outraged; just a little irritated how a mistake like this could be made especially when the part number is clearly labeled on the part itself and it doesn't match the part number listed on the outside of the box.
This is my first time ordering from RockAuto, but after this experience, I am very leery of ordering from them again. The saying "You never get a second chance to make a first impression" couldn't be more true in this situation. While the customer service rep was polite, authorized the return and I got a refund, I am very wary of trying RockAuto again in the foreseeable future. Luckily for me it was just an air filter this time. Had it been a more expensive item or one that required a more involved install it could have cost me hundreds of dollars in damage.
I was recommended to try them via Foster Auto Parts, their Phone Rep Shawn would only redirect me to their website... He was not willing to look things up, telling me, "I already told you.." When I asked if he could take the Manufacturer Part number and look it up and see if there is a cross refernece....Its not like I know their part system, how do I know they aren't calling something, something else, how do I know the part is not interchangeable with another part number for maybe a Ford??? I don't care if our indivisual searches would have yielded the same result, simply put, piss poor customer service...
I haven't shopped here in a long time. Going back about 6 years. Anyways, I've been on the hunt for a clutch and slave cylinder for one of my cars. I have been stuck looking at the box stores for prices and what's available on amazon. Issues with parts missing in the box have been common. Somehow I ended up spotting a link to these guys. What a great help. The slave cylinder was half the price as amazon (same brand part number), and the clutch was far more reasonably priced. Also I would like to mention I'm a prime member, and received both items within a week, where prime was listing 2 weeks. So, this inspired me to write a review and say. Thank you Rockauto. I will not forget you guys next time!
fast shipping ....oh and you can actually track thier items and know exactly when thier comming unlike thier competitors ....... also there were lower prices then thier competitors on name brand parts not junk parts like ebay thanks alot i ordered a fuel pump ..fuel filter .....and fuel pressure modulator all worked perfect runs like new vehicle ...this was my first shopping experience with rock auto but will not be the last they have gotten themselves a full time customer thanks again
worse customer service EVER encountered. Ordered a condenser fan which was described as "fits your car". Come to find out it does not, the mounting holes do not line up. Rockauto does not pay for the return postage. Will never again order from them
I do not typically write bad reviews unless something is just extremely poor. Long story short, stuff happens there are a million different parts for vehicles. I bought a torque converter that didn't fit (second step was too small). No big deal. However, Fedex won't accept my return label because the package is too heavy. I cannot get a hold of anyone at RockAuto. Hell, their "help"/"customer service" email denies my inquiry because it says the case is closed. All around horrible customer service. I can't even get someone on the phone to be rude to me.
I don't particularly care for Google, but I have to say Kudos to them for the ease I experienced in ordering a fuel pump for immediate need. This is the second time this was ordered as someone stole the first one from our mailbox. Now that really hurts when we had to count pennies to gather enough to buy the part in the first place.
I defy anyone to find a better more reliable auto parts supplier. For top quality parts at bargain basement prices they can't be beat, they have a wide selection of suppliers so you can find the right part for your budget,{some projects don't require top quality parts} but they also have the best available at the lowest prices. Their return policy is fantastic, I have never had a problem with returns and the s/h fees are as low if not lower than anyone I have found. I can't say enough about this company, I started using them about 9 months ago and I buy alot of parts, for a wide range of vehicles and in that time I have saved thousands of $ that I was spending at my local parts store, I believe in buying local but I don't believe in spending foolishly on mediocre parts.
Terrible experience with these people. They sent me 2 different rear break rotors for my vehicle and I was charged in my refund for shipping them back? Why should I be charged to ship something back that you idiots didn't send out right the in the first place??.
RockAuto has almost always been the cheaper priced dealer including shipping. I've ordered from them in the past and will continue in the future. They're the first ones I go to for looking up parts and then I compare locally. Same warranties. Normally, RockAuto wins out if I have time to wait. Excellent service and quick shipping.
I purchased two exterior mirrors for my 2007 Tourag and when I tried to install them, I found they were the wrong size. I contacted Rock auto to return and exchange the items, I was told that they don't carry the size I needed, and to make matters worst I was also told that since the size was listed, I would have to pay for return shipping. Needless to say I am not a trained mechanic or service tech, therefore trusted that when I put in make, model and engine size it would be suffice. NOOOOOOOO it wasn't. THEREFORE I AM WRITING THIS REVEIW TO SAY BUYER BEWARE AND THAT I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING ELSE FROM THEM EVER! I am sure this review will not make their website, but I feel better saying it!
Fast. Low priced , 4 different suppliers all delivered and correct. Will allow me to use my 06 Honda another 5-6 yrs and pass the 250,000 mile mark with life left for some other Family

Good variety of parts; however, their hands off customer service is a pain. I've read reviews where I see how interacting with the customer is a waste of time as the problem often sounds like user error; however, I have been shipped used, repackaged, and faulty parts to which their automated service feature does not cover all these scenarios and if you choose wrong you will not get a refund. Due to overall good pricing I don't compare much as I use to, but after receiving a used or open window motor and another window motor with wiring reversed to which I could have received cheaper on Amazon and save $40 I will start looking to competitors for some of my purchases. I have used Rock Auto for years as recommended to me by a 30+ year mechanic and recommended it to others; however, it's waning ability to step up in service and quality consistency has me saddened that I won't have a reliable one stop shop in the future, but eager to see companies more easily held accountable due to a desire step up and take Rock Auto's market share. Their parts usually but not always save you money, the pictures and information on their site are usually but not always correct, and you will on occasion get a junky product to which you may have to financially eat. Overall they are better than most suppliers.
Horrible customer service. I ordered parts and only part was delivered. Now they want me to send that part back so they can mail it back to me, with all the parts that ordered originally. That's a crock. Now I'm getting the run around. I paid in full, now I want my parts crock auto
I've been ordering parts from Rockauto a lot over last few years and every delivery was made via FedEx with no issue. For some reason the warehouse that shipped my last order decided to use a different carrier and one part on my order wasn't delivered because the postal service is retarded. Which is why i don't purchase items from companies who use them for delivery. Sad rockauto is willing to lose a customer over a carrier selection change then charge me for the failed delivery. Never again will I order a part from rockauto.
My first time ordering from Rockauto was last week. Ordered on Thursday, received on Saturday. A+. I start my brake job on Sunday and finished three of the four wheels. Rotors and pads. The last rotor was warped enough to have it scrape against the caliper bracket. I thought it may have been me working for hours. All dejected I couldn't finish the project the same day, I logged on to do a warranty exchange thinking it would be a nightmare. It was far from a nightmare. Rockauto has everything automated, provided a label to return the defective part, promised to ship it as soon as it was in the FedEx system. They did as promised and I got the shipment three days later. It would've been two days but FedEx decided not to deliver on the original day.
I see they put extra care in packing this one and even put extra cardboard in the box to keep the rotor from moving in transit. Installed it today and it's PERFECT.
Ordered a dummy pulley (several years ago) to replace the dying AC compressor for my 460 dually. It finally went and after an hour of looking I finally found the part. Put in on today, perfect fit...couldn't be happier with Rock Auto. Little late w/the love. ;)
Received incorrect parts per their lookup system, would have to pay to send back for a full refund on top of paying to ship the wrong one in the first place. I will stay away in the future.
Worst experience ever! received defective piston, (pin boss elongated) was instructed to return, after part was scanned at Fedex, rockauto email says part is out of stock (5 hours after 1st email. STAY AWAY!!! #budspiston
I have to say Rock Auto has the best prices and te best service part was packaged securly and everything looked great! i have found anywhere. Got my part at less then half the price at any local auto parts store. And it arrived a day sooner then expected. Was the perfect match to the original and was the same brand everyone else wanted over twice as much. I will order all my parts from Rock Auto from now on!!
(8) days after ordering my parts have just been shipped by DHL. Parts were in stock and updated by Rock Auto as label created 8 days ago. They have no functioning customer customer service. Their catalog is useful to get a part number and then go buy it on Amazon or eBay. Prices are decent just not worth the customer service trade off.
I had Rock Auto rebuild two carburetors for my 53 rat rod, The carbs came back looking like new. I installed them and checked the operation. I will recommend Rock Auto to my friends.
