I've used Rock Auto multiple times recently for my '97 Infiniti QX4. Even though the vehicle is older, they have a full selection of parts available from a variety of manufacturers. Pricing is always way cheaper than the local parts store and I have received every order in record time. I would definitely recommend Rock Auto to any home mechanic looking to maintain their vehicle on a budget.

My order arrived earlier than ship date, so that was awesome!! Pices were way better than local parts. Even with the exchange rate still way worth the price. Part was exactly as described online.

Nothing but positive. Out of 100% of their product line, I would say that 90% is cheaper than anyone else online or at a local auto parts store. There online ordering is easy to find the parts that you need. Shipping is quick. When I order items from them, it usually tells me that it will be a week before arrival but they always show up earlier. I have saved tons of money through them and I will be a customer for life.

I placed an order back in June this year for 4 brake drums, upon installation they were found to be 'out of round' I requested a new set and was told to re-ordered new drums which I did and paid for, so I am now looking to return the defective ones for the refund, the return was authorized.

"This issue is caused by excessive run-out during installation, overheating, or faulty wheel cylinders. The only way to remedy the issue is to have the drums machined by a shop or replaced altogether. Before doing either, it is recommended to have your wheel cylinders thoroughly inspected and replaced if necessary to avoid the issue from happening again. Since the parts are not covered under warranty, we're unable to accept a return on the failed parts".

So let me get this straight, right from the start: I received all new 4 wheel cylinders from you, brake shoes etc and your trying to tell me this is NOT a manufacturers defect, from the moment I place the drum on the brake shoes it had high & low points, that {which then means it is 'OUT OF ROUND'}.

So are you trying to tell me that all your other parts you sold me are defective?? ME THINKS NOT. I also paid and had a Class 'A' Licensed Mechanic check them as well and he agreed that they were defective right from the start {IMPROPER MACHINING} given I spent almost $2,000.00 to redo my 'Entire Brake System' {WITH YOUR PARTS} and now you fail to stand behind them, that is a total disgrace for your company to do, I will make sure any antique car owner I know NEVER EVER BUY parts from you again, I will further more be contacting my bank and requesting
that the credit card charges for that order be return, and as for your DEFECTIVE PARTS be thrown to the trash, so you will get neither my money or your FAULTY parts back.

Funny NOT your return system said it was approved and now you dare to screw me, THX for nothing I will make sure any magazine which shows your store know the fact that you sell defective parts and FAIL to refund $$ which you took threw lies & BS, just given the fact that as directed by your site I re-order {this time a better drum} which works fine it is not like I want a total part refund I purchased better drums from you yet you fail to stand behind the first set, had I know this from the beginning I would have just machined my old ones and bought all my other parts else where.

Zero stars for handling my transaction. Always use your American Express card this way you have your protection against Uber Giants like Rock Auto. I ordered new Walker (Catalytic Converters) aka CATS for my 2010 Lincoln Town Car. CATS did not fit the car so I called RA and send CATS back. They wanted me to pay for shipping! Why because they send me a part I couldn't use? I disputed the charge with AMEX and won my case. However, RA band me from future purchases and won't do future business with me until I pay the shipping charges. [SO SHADY] Corporate needs schooling to own up to their mistakes. I would give them 0 stars if I could! I received a damaged part in shipment, replacement was also clearly damaged in shipping (not packed adequately). Customer service which only communicates via email is refusing to provide a return shipping label to send back the second damaged replacement part, now they claim that it was "from manufacturing, slight deformation" which can be read in the screenshot attached. No one to answer phones and IF they decide to return your voicemail, they will just tell you to use their website forms or email. COMPLETE DEAD END, THEY WILL TAKE YOU IN CIRCLES.

Rock Auto has saved me 1000's of dollars in material and many 1000's of dollars in labor costs. I have done auto repair for 30+ years and enjoy the challenge. The catalog doesn't specify the maximum amperage for the listed choices, except for one, which I can't use as it is too weak. Your phone line is no help at all, so I will buy or order locally or through eBay or Amazon.

Let s see where do I begin are the prices good yes I d say so however they get you with shipping fees and use shipping companies that are not reliable at all. I purchased a car hood, headlights and a front bumper from them. Purchased on Sept 22 and received on Oct 1. The shipping company dropped the packages off infront of my house and forged a signature. Rock autos policy is to unwrap and inspect parts before signing or your liable for your products. Real head scratcher when the items are boxed in multiple boxes and the items are huge let alone dropped infront of your house. On oct 9 I was off and managed to have some free time to install the parts I ordered. To my dismay I found the front hood to be damaged. Appeared as if the shipping company walked all over it. Here s the displeasure, absolutely no one to talk to! Everything is automated or through email. The representative who responded to me could careless about my situation regardless of me explaining how I never signed for the package and how it was forged and dropped off. How I m just a do it your selfer who doesn t own a shop where I have time to inspect the items immediately. Right now I have yet to get a reply from them in regards to why the shipping company forged a signature or any type of reasonable explanation. I m in the middle of filing a dispute with my credit card company. Check the site for yourself no phone number! It s terrible!! My advice/suggestion. I purchased my remaining parts needed to repair my vehicle from eBay and Amazon both sites which cater to you the buyer. Both site offer the same prices if not better then Rock auto with a return policy and better customer service. I do not recommend Rock Auto at all!!!

I LOVE these guys. They have the best prices, a wide selection, and when a part was out of stock, they contacted me and solved the problem without a delay. I highly recommend them for brakes, they offer different options in quality, and beat the local "AutoXXXX" place that carries only the cheap parts. Make sure you keep all of your fridge magnets!

Parts catalog is very easy to maneuver through very descriptive, ordering processes just as easy and the checkout is one of the most safest and simplest I've ever done online from any establishment. Packages arrived quickly and in good shape apparently they have good standing with the parcel service. IT'S just all-around good experience, never any problem yet and I use Rock Auto fairly often, matter of fact, it's the only place to get Auto parts. I'll never buy Auto parts anywhere else

I've been ordering from Rock Auto for over 5 years now. I've had at least three dozen orders placed I bet. I've never had an issue with shipping times being off as Vicky mentioned. Sorry! Besides DHL is a HEAVY freight company not a small parts shipper. Makes since if your ordering a transmission or palletized item. And Jerry "everyone" knows Saturday in not in the 2-Day delivery window, Saturday is usually $15-$20 extra on top of that. Where you been man? I always use USPS. UPS Ground or FedEx and pay a few cents more. When I have needed to return parts, I HAD MY MONEY BACK THE VERY NEXT DAY! Can't beat that with a stick! Very happy with Rock and there products! Order with confidence and they will take good care of you! Sorry, I just had to call these two out on pour shipping decisions when they ordered. Cheers!

Bad part handling. Rock Auto sent me a u-joint that was re-packaged and re-assembled improperly. When I attempted to return it, they refused citing the 30 day limit. The re-assembled part caused damage to my axle shaft for which they accepted NO responsibility. Beware of substandard parts and concealed defects. I have returned to my local and more honest providers.

Your PAYPAL ordering process sucks. I order exclusively from sites that use PayPal and none of them require the gyrations you do. The address given by PayPal works everywhere else but you say FEDEX can't verify it. That's total nonsense because this is the first time I've had any problem with it. The problem is in what you are Doing. Fix it or you'll not get another order from me. It works fine on Amazon and EBAY. Overall you have a pretty crappy site. Only your prices keep people coming back.

Ordered a nearly $1,000 part with 2-day shipping so i could get my truck on the road. They called with an automated message late the next day notifying me the part was no longer in stock and i had two options; cancel and wait a few days for my $1,000 to come back to my account or pay $500 more to get a substitute part... no one to talk to about it, no form of real customer service, no form of compensation even in the form of shipping to get the more expensive part to me faster.

RockAuto solved my parts adventure. They have huge inventory and great options of price and Mfr. I found their web site to be top notch and easy to find what you need for your vehicle. Ordering was made so easy and even had suggestions of tools or other needed parts to get what is needed to finish the parts experience. Several shipping options also made easy. Parts were here pronto as described on order.
Thanks RockAuto for saving me a couple hundred bucks compared to local Dealership and local parts stores.

Rock Auto is my new best friend!!! I was kinda of scared to order because I thought the parts would be fake or cheaply made because the price was so cheap. I saved over $150 from this website verses buying the parts at my local parts house. I highly recommend Rock Auto!!! For the money I saved it was worth waiting 3 days to be delivered to my house. Four of my friends now yse Rock Auto and they too were well pleased.

Unless the snail they strapped it to took a wrong turn along the way! There's only 1 state between us, so it shouldn't have taken THAT long. They did refund my money, but just a huge waste of time that I can never get back.

There is a lot to say about these people, it's hard to find a place to start. After ordering some fenders for a 1986 Chevy inners and outers only half the order shows up a week later. Figuring the other half is still in transit I sign for a slip that reads "1 auto parts". Not a slip that itemizes my order. Thinking my outer fenders are still coming, I also noticed that I was billed for 134 pounds of freight shipping at $160. I don't know who weighs these packages but all four fenders combined don't weigh 50 lbs. Ouch. I received the inner fenders, no one can find the outer fenders, rock auto and the freight company say well you signed the freight slip so we're off the hook, and I'm out a set of fenders and somehow a ton of shipping. After countless emails spaning two weeks time, I try a phone call. What a joke. The lady picks up the phone, says she has to review my information, 10 seconds later comes back with you didn't follow protocal and hangs up. Don't know who hires these people but they are screwing your company. Somehow these people think I'm jerking them for a set of fenders that fit a 30 year old pick up... because I need two sets of those kicking around my shop. If they don't think I'm jerking them, then why did you not just re send some fenders and do the job of traking the lost ones down? Must be to busy hanging up on customers who have legitimate issues with service. If I could rate you zero stars I would.

My name is Jeanice Baer and I am so sorry I ever tried this company. I made a order on may 2nd 2017. It is now July 28 2017. Almost four months down the road and between rockauto and fed-x I am still sitting here in the middle of nowhere with no car because rock auto can't seem to take responsibility for their screw up. So 127.38 of my money is out there and they want me to do their jobs locating a package I paid for that they put the wrong address on and fed-x is just as bad with keeping track of this package...How many times do they need to send it from one warehouse to another over and over. I am on a fixed income of 755 a month i need my car to be running. I just want my money back and I can't even get . These people are ruining my life Literally. I am on oxygen 24/7 . I have CHF COPD. Price cannot be beaten. I have had no problems with shipping or correct parts. I take the time to make sure everything is exactly what I need, rockauto gets it to me quickly for a more than reasonable price. What more can you really ask for?

First time I've used RockAuto, the radiator I ordered came with a bad cramp in the bottom of the radiator! Took me 35 40 minutes to install it and poured fluid back in started seeping out like a sieve! Not a lot of confidence in this establishment seems like they have been ordering from Bad Company's!

Typically it will cost me a third of the cost to order, ship and clear items from rockauto.
Great diversity of the catalog and I thank them.
Fast shipping too.
Cons: exorbitant shipping price, some parts are totally untouchable.
Lack of explanation on certain contents (are there such or such accessories needed with such articles or not?).
Overall I am super satisfied with Rockauto and highly recommend it.

Make sure when you return something you make sure you document everything. This company won't refund $250.00 for a compressor I returned because somewhere, somehow in the return process I clicked on 'core' instead of 'compressor'. The supplier does not open the return package, they only read the label. I actually finally got through to the president of Rock Auto. He stated they couldn't give me my full refund 'because you cannot expect us to lose money'. So, I bought a part for $250.00, it was wrong, I bought the correct part for $635.00.....so, to understand this, an old woman who works three jobs just to stay above water should lose $250.00 because I certainly wouldn't want a multi-million dollar, world-wide company to lose it. All because a label said the package wss a core and not a compressor. Very sad.

I received the completely wrong parts and got no kind of problem resolution from "customer service". I ordered 5 TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) sensors on Thursday. I ordered them 2nd day shipping because I needed them by the following Friday for an appointment to have new wheels and tires installed on my truck. Monday was Labor Day so I should receive the parts by Wednesday; Thursday if there was a shipping issue, but in time for my appointment. On Wednesday when I got home from work there was a box with 2 wheel bearing hub assemblies. That's right! 2! I contacted "customer service" and informed them of the issues at hand. They gave me my options: (1) a refund or (2) have the correct parts shipped to me after I sent the wrong parts back. Neither option being acceptable as neither option put the parts in my hand in time for the appointment; which by the way, the next available appointment was in the middle of October. I asked the "customer service" rep if I do a refund and re-order the parts, will they ship them Fed Ex Early AM to my company, as we receive our Early AM shipments by 9 am. That means I would receive the parts in time for the appointment. I was told she didn't see that as a shipping option. I'm not sure what that means. Anyone can send a package any way they choose. Fed Ex will be happy to take your money, trust me. Now I have to buy the sensors from the place I'm taking my truck for the appointment at $120 a piece rather than the $55 a piece from RockAuto. THANKS RockAuto! My company, if we make a mistake and the issue can't be "fixed", we do whatever it takes to make the customer happy and lessen the impact of the mistake! That's Customer Service!! "we are sorry that happened, we can give you a full refund including shipping cost" doesn't cut it! Of course you will refund All my money, because at this point there was absolutely no services rendered! Needless to say, I will never user RockAuto again. I will certainly never recommend them to anyone. I don't wish that kind of "customer service" on anyone!
