I've been a customer of RA for about a year and a half. I've purchased moog suspension parts, AC Delco fuel pumps. Lilse tools and a host of other items.I have always received the correct part/tool. RA has saved $161.23 on one job alone compared to the brick and mortar stores (part for part) (brand for brand). RA is my first choice for Auto parts
I am a ford master tech wanted to try rock auto due to great prices and usually buy locally. I am working a Honda civic and purchased a o2 sensor and air filter which they had in stock and wanted the car running properly asap. I noticed I did not receive I tracking number two days later I logged in to rock auto and found out the air filter was out of stock so they didn't ship the o2 sensor so i cancelled the air filter and called customer service to see if they could get any help. The customer service is like a bad nightmare that you don't want to remember. very rude no help what so ever I asked to speak to the manager and was told by the rude customer service representative the the manager will not help me either I ask to cancel the order which was showing at the warehouse just 15 min ago and was told it was already shipped and I would have to send it back. Which means I have to pay for shipping so I didn't save any money and customer service horrible. Think before you buy ,because I bet there warranty is going to just as bad. stick to advance auto or oreiilys auto parts or your favorite parts store.

Excellant job!

I placed an order and after checkout was completed these morons wrote me an email 2 days later stating that they apoligize but one of the parts was not in stock in the warehouse they thought it was. So if I want the part I would have to pay an additional $17.00 to have a $16.00 part shipped. How about taking some responsiblity, you screwed up by not keeping your website up to date. I will never use Rockauto again!!!!!! That cost should have been eaten by YOU, now you lost my entire order and any future orders, I hope the $17.00 was worth it. Not exactly a good business model.
They repeatedly sent me the wrong part for my Chevy Silverado. I explained the way the part fits, gave them the requested VIN number, year, even the actual part number and pictures of the fittings. The part they sent uses the modern quick connect fittings. My truck is an earlier model that uses threaded connectors. They told me I have to pay $50 shipping on the part to return it. Will not be buying from them again and definitely not recommending them for anything more than very basic parts like windshield wipers and filters. Completely lacking in technical knowledge and automotive repair competency. Really disappointing.
I ordered a bunch of parts for my car, and firstly: the price, including shipping, was stellar, much cheaper than any Canadian parts supplier by an order of magnitude. Shipping was fast, experience as a whole was great.
However, two parts (a pair of Tie Rod Ends) I received were unsatisfactory, they were mismatched and just appeared cheap. I sent Rockauto an email, and 48 hours later, the replacement ones were at my door, no questions asked, no extra charge.

Never EVER but anything from Rock Auto! Buyer Beware! They will not process ANY RETURNS for any parts (I'm talking sealed and unused) if you are ONE day outside of their 30 day return policy. I just tried and they said NO, for absolutely no reason. Sorry. The ABSOLUTE worst customer service experience (there is none).

Ordered from RockAuto many times, never had a bad experience with them. Some parts are shipped from different warehouses and arrive at different times, which can be a pain, but the price (including shipping) can't be beat on brand-name parts (may come close on "store brands" if you want that junk in your ride). I can only assume those that complain of wrong parts, etc., didn't know what they wanted in the first place and should rely on the hand-holding of the local vendors. If you have the luxury of waiting a couple days to get the part, RockAuto is the way to go.
This is from my husband, Dennis. It showed my name at the top. We were very happy with our purchase, however, I paid a 500.00 core charge and need to email that with a problem on that and can`t find any way to contact them. There is nothing in the order/status area to let them know what the problem is. It only has a drop down menu and no place to tell them what my problem is. I either have to return the item I bought or pay the big charge. It is a lot for a power steering pump! I feel when I spend that, I should have a way to at least email them. Nothing I find online anywhere let`s you contact them. Other than that, I feel they are good.

I purchased a towing hitch cover for a GMC Yukon. The price was 30% less than GMC Direct. It was delivered within 24 hours of being ordered. The product is an after market make, but it looks good as a replacement. I just have to get it painted to match the vehicle. I have used Rock Auto many times and I will continue to do so.

Reufused to pay for return shipping even though their website incorrectly listed the part for my vehicle. When I tried to resolve the issue they automatically closed my ticket and I have been unable to continue communications via email which is the only way they communicate. Buyer beware and do your research because the website is flawed and customer service is severely lacking.

Called to find a part and there customer service didn't even want to help from a 2 min call, and tried to tell me I didn't know what size engine I had, I think I would now my car info these guys suck, find your parts somewhere else.

They are CROOKS; don't stand by their warranties. Took three weeks for them to ship a defective, poorly package part. Called them, and they wouldn't honor the warranty because it was out of warranty. Nevermind, that it took all but 2 days of the warranty to get to my house and it was packaged by a 2 year old. WILL NEVER USE THIS WORTHLESS COMPANY AGAIN.

RockAuto sent me the wrong part and wont accept return because it is passed their 30day return policy. Ordered brake rotors few moths back. Had them stored until my car tells me to replace brakes (Car has brake wear sensors). When tried to replace new rotors won't fit. Contacted Rockauto via email (only way for customer support) but they didn't accept the responsibility for sending me the wrong part (Their site still lists the same part for my vehicle). Only reply I got was order passed 30day return policy and cannot do anything. Then they closed the support ticket without reaching a conclusion and now won't respond to my mails. Worst customer experience. I'm stuck with $250 door stoppers.

Ordered a wheel bearing and hub assembly for our Toyota Corrolla. When we received the part, it was a completely different part (a vapor canister/solenoid, see photo below). Didn't think it would be a big deal so I went on their website to return and get a new part sent to me. But no.... First of all, they will not send me a replacement part until I ship the wrong part back to them. Secondly, they will only pay return shipping if I use FedEx (making me travel to a FedEx site while my car is down), otherwise I will be charged over $17 to return an item (that I never ordered) by U.S. mail! Third, Rockauto does not have any customer support over the phone, and no way to actually communicate with a real person for these kinds of matters. I have ordered from them before with no issues, but they have terrible customer service when they mess up.

Tried to buy parts on line using rock auto catalog, they needed to know make and model and told them it was a 1989 toyota pickup 2 wheel drive 22re motor. the catalog was very confusing, had parts for 1 ton trucks, 3/4 ton trucks, 4 wheel drive, needed to check vin number without telling how to check number. Ordered the wrong parts,the parts were from 3 different locations and the shipping cost more than the parts. Now they will not take the parts back because the shipping is more than the value of the parts.This was a total waste of time and money if you need parts go to your local parts store pay more and get the correct part it's cheaper then wasting money on rock auto. p.s. the brake linings I ordered were supposed to be the correct ones for the truck but didn't fit and were very poor quality
I definitely have to say that Rock Auto is on top of their GAME!!! This is the second time that I've ordered parts through your site and I have to say that it's been an absolutely great experience! I will continue to purchase for the parts I need. I had to place an order with another site (Geek) at the same time unfortunately due to it not being available on Rock Auto out of stock I have to say they are not as quick as Rock Auto to ship your parts if you want them next day FYI.

I ordered 26 january a caliper 43018-TA0-A01 for my European Honda Accord 2009.
This part is 100% identical to Acura TSX part A1-19-B3358.
I received it on 1 february, I assembled it- it looked 100% similar and fitted 100%- and what happened.........the caliper was defective; the hand brake did not work and even after thoroughly bleeding the caliper there was no sufficient pressure behind the piston so the brakes failed to work. Then I replaced it with the old, worn out caliper, and everything functioned well.This means the new caliper had a factory defective so I sent a mail and the incredible answer was that this caliper was not intended to fit for my Honda and I did not get a replacement or refund. The part was only intended for vehicles made in North America. I replied that it is wellknow in America that Acura TSX parts fit 100% on European Honda Accord (CU). This are technically the same cars.But Rockauto insisted: no warranty
I hereby warn every person outside the States: do never buy anything at Rockauto. You will have no warranty or replacement or refund or what so ever.So you take a big risk. With import charges included i payed 210 euro's for a defective part of which RockAuto only refunds the core (75$). Can anyone tell me if there is a consumer organisation were i can put a complaint?

Very disappointed that Rock Auto DOES NOT list the positive battery cable I need for my 2014 Chev, Cruze diesel.

Ordered a part the easiest part of this experience. Paid for expedited shipping. Part was suppose to arrive on Tues here it is Weds and not part. Don t even try to check order status because it don t update. Sent emails no return. Tried calling no customer service over the phone. This company is a joke. Tell all that on your cartoon commercial. When I finally got someone to answering my email and called the shipping company the part was never shipped.

I have 3 aging cars in my household and I have always found that Rockauto has an amazing selection of parts at the best prices and delivered with amazing efficiency. The only parts that I don't buy from Rock Auto are exhaust parts since the less expensive Bosal and Walker, aftermarket exhaust parts often don't fit well and necessitate a return....which is a hassle with Rockauto. Even though Rockauto is good about returns, I use my local Advanced Auto Parts store for those parts.

I ordered two front lower control arms for 2011 Nissan Altima. RK620195 and RK620196. The left one (RK620195) appeared used. It wasn't in plastic bag or protective cup over ball joint like the other one and is dirty and has hammer or pry bar marks on it from someone installing or removing it. Rockauto lack of phone customer service ( only by email) is very disappointing. When I attempted to call the person that answered told me I had to use email process and hung up on me. I will no longer buy from rockauto due to this experience. There are plenty of other part supplier options.

The selection of parts from RockAuto is absolutely excellent, although I have found that a few things are missing, such as lighting (replacement or upgrade bulbs, and such).
Unfortunately, as a Canadian cutomer, I find that the shipping rates are typically WAYYY over the top !
My last order was for a bunch of oil filters and wiper blades for my 2 vehicles, and the shipping was more than the actual order. These were not suspension or engine parts that are inherently HEAVY.
Still, I have to agree, the web site is excellent and the service cannot be matched.

I bought an alternator for my 1996 M3. Took a few days to get because it is directly from Bosch. That is fine. I take apart the supercharger etc to get the old one out. Put the new one in and notice it doesnt have threads on the mounting ear. So I call and have the "Pleasant" experience of talking to customer service. I talk to the first person Suzanne. I tell her the situation and she says since it is from an outside source that they have to put an inquiry in to see if it is supposed to have threads. So I say that I am screwed out of a car for two weeks while they figure that out. She says let me get the manager. So here comes the fun part. I talk to this useless guy named Shaun. I tell him my situation and he says either it is a defect or the wrong packaged part and also goes into the inquiry schpeal. I again say "Well due to your companies mistake I get to be the one to suffer?" I am either out of a car for weeks or I get to pay more money (as far as I am concerned I havent gotten anything for my 270 dollars yet). So I say can you send a call tag to get the old one picked up and send out a different one. Anything. Something that would work. He said no. That I have to take it to a fedex place. In what the car that doesnt work due to your company. I said well since this is a mistake on your part can you do a discount since so much money is already in limbo with no results. I told him that they probably make forty percent so a twenty percent discount would be fair. So then he feels he has to tell me how a business is run(I am a small business owner). So I ask for his boss. He says he doesnt answer to anyone. So I ask if he owns the company, he says no. So I ask him who the general manager is, who he answers to he say no one. So I ask for his name and he says Shaun. I ask for last name or initial he says I am only one who spells it that way. I ask him for last name again and he refuses. Not the way to run a business and this shaun guy is useless and cant manage anything. I wont be telling any of my friends to use Rock auto. I used to tell everyone. Shaun changed that.

Ordered parts for a brake job on my car. Did not get to doing job until the holiday week. A wheel cylinder was incorrectly boxed and did not fit my vehilce even though part number was correct. Rock Auto said too long for return, could file warranty claim, needed to purchase same part again first and then wait for a week for the part and then send in bad par for return.
Very poor customer servcice, would not recommend them.

My dad referred me to RockAuto to get new front pads and rotors, the local guy I normally go to has really gone down in quality. When I got on RockAuto's website, I was skeptical because they even beat my "normal guy's" prices. My skepticism turned to delight when I opened the boxes! Even with shipping, RockAuto beats everyone in price by a mile...and you would never be able to tell by the quality. I guess you could say RockAuto is my new "normal guy"!

Was happy with my experience until I got to the check-out and discovered the cost to ship my $50 plastic bumper cover was over $150! I chose more expensive 3-5 day shipping service but it was no faster than the standard one. One other unwelcome surprise was that someone had to be home to sign for the item (not communicated until day before it arrived) or they wouldn't deliver it. Luckily a neighbor was home to sign for it.
I purchased parts for yeas ,the last few times when I check out all parameters are filled in, google wants to keep my purchasing card number. It will never happen and it will not let order go thru. Then I purchase goods local supplier. Can't get a person when I call even before virus took place.

LMC truck can"t even supply the parts I've found through Rock Auto .. Price, Quality, shipping and customer service is what puts Rock Auto above all the other parts suppliers..

It's always a great day when you find a reliable new partner to do business with. The folks at Rock Auto seem to be dedicated to bringing the goods to the table with the least amount of wear and tear on the customer as is possible. A well positioned company that extends great prices, quality parts, and a great customer service experience to the buyers out there in the general public who are savvy enough to be doing business with them. I have used their services three times now, and in all three cases found this family run business to deliver great quality parts and 1st. class service. Lets face it, Its already a bad day when you have to replace something major on your rig. Why make it worse by paying to much for replacement parts, or getting ripped a new one by customer service that is sub par? I have found good value, and great service to be the hallmarks of the Rock Auto organization.

I needed a very specific part so I called and talked over the phone to make sure I ordered the right part. The part they told me to order was the wrong one. Even after they confirmed it was what I needed. Next time I tried ordering the part myself the part listed on the site was 160 they sent 163. Horrible not worth the agravation just go to autozone.
Cost was half of that of the local car parts stores. Was here in half the time!!! Will be using again in the future!!!
I have always been fully satisfied with Rock Auto Parts. They seem to have a good range of inventory, are prompt and sell for a good price. I have never had a problem. I have never had to take anything back.
