They did not consider an exchange of a product which was a little more than a week late to ask for. When in doubt to exchange/return, have it done well before the 30 day mark. Now I need to find someone to sell this to which I have no use for

I have used Rock Auto several times. I am very pleased with the prices of the parts as well as the quality. They are much less costly than the "big box" auto stores. I will continue to use and recommend Rock Auto in the future.
Do not order parts from Rockauto, they have no customer service by phone and email responses only refer you back to their help page. They received payment for my parts and put a shopping scan on my parts but wiil notput them on the fedex truck or even look for the parts. They only want you money and are not concerened about you receing your parts. I warn everyone to look at their BBB reviews before buying from them.
Very poor customer service experience. Ordered brakes for two of my vehicles on the 25th of the month. One all in one package with (4) rotors and pads all the way around and separately (2) rotors, front pads, and rear pads for the other vehicle. There was a RockAuto Only Rebate on the all in one package good until the end of the month (6 more days). These five parts shipped from three different warehouses. I get an email, which I did miss, the next day (now the 26th) saying There was a problem, some of my order was out of stock . I did not see this email until part of my order arrived from two ship locations and the rest didn t arrive. I now see that part of the order was cancelled and I only have the front pads of the brand I ordered. Of course it was now the 1st of the month, the rebate has expired, and I asked what could be done and was told they strongly recommend I update my phone number in their system so the next time I don t miss the email . I said OK, no rebate, I will just send back the front pads and go somewhere to order a matching set of pads. I then am told I have to pay return shipping for the front pads and that it really doesn t matter if I use a different manufacturer on different wheels. They also say if I don t want to do that, everything is now in stock, just reorder it . So they ran out of stock just long enough for a RockAuto Only Rebate to expire and the day after it expires, they have it in stock no problem? Very disappointed in how they handled this. Beware if your order ships from multiple different locations because if one location has a problem, you are left to deal with it. Also be wary of RockAuto Only Rebates . Finally, the fact that they process your order does not mean they actually have what you ordered. Their inventory system apparently cannot be trusted to be accurate. BTW, I ordered the matching rear pads off Amazon with free shipping. Ordered the 4 brake kit off AmericanMuscle with free shipping - Saved 5% off RockAuto pricing. If there is a problem, you can bet Amazon will bend over backwards to make it right!
Easy to navigate their website and find the parts needed at a good price. Gives upgrade parts when available. Order came complete and was VERY well boxed up for shipping. Rock Auto is my 'go-to' for any future parts I need.
always seem to have what i need and shipping is extremely fast even to canada,would recommend them to everyone always the best price around ,even up here in canada with the exchange rate and shipping cost ,they are still way cheaper than canadian stores ,and usually always have the item in stock that i need, and even with the shipping i can get my parts here way before my local parts store,just wish there was a phone contact,for items that are not listed or items that are hard to find
Just started using ROCK AUTO and I really like it. I of course don't know heads or tails about ordering parts from them for my 1998 Buick Century but my son is a mechanic so he orders and I pay lol. But I have never had to send back wrong parts or damaged parts so we I would recommend them. The only bad thing I can say about them is the shipping is WAY to high.
Rock Auto Rocks, and I am a Rock Star at Rock Auto...RA truly showed me the $....an issue arose from a purchase that went awry, and Rock Auto credited me 100%, plus shipping, as well, they sent me a 5% discount code...so, even if I wanted to complain, I can't....RA Rocks!

Rockauto no longer has a customer service department. They made huge mistakes on my last order, that still over a month later, they haven't resolved. First they sent someone else's order, then they sent parts that were damaged prior to shipping, then the replacement parts they sent aren't compatible with the design of the other parts they sent. I've been waiting over a week with no Email response!
On time delivery, great prices, and I didn't have to send anything back or complain that the pieces were wrong. I'll continue to use this site and recommend this site to everyone I talk to and know.
I hope you read your reviews. I was just getting ready to order a lot of expensive parts (brakes, suspension, steering, and hub/wheel bearing assemblies) from you for my K2500 until, I read the nightmares about your crappy return policy and customer service. Until you fix it, keep losing money.
Make totally sure that you order the part you need, or they will scam you when you try to return it! We sent a $340 part back for a refund and they claimed the box was damaged by UPS, although the shipper did not give any notice and they deny doing any damage. The photos RockAuto sent me looks like their shipping department intentionally damaged my box so they would not have to give me any credit. We ship stuff all the time and the boxes never get damaged. Then RockAuto sends me an e-mail saying if I don't pay for the freight to get the allegedly damaged box shipped back, they will just keep my part. This place has the worst customer service in the industry. You cannot call them and if you send them e-mails, it's like talking to a legal department. Their return department is a sham. If you ever need customer service, you get stonewalled. I will never buy anything from them again.
I ordered a mirror replacement for my driver's side. It doesn't fit. Rockauto will only refund the cost of the part and not the shipping because "it's not their fault." It is their fault. They should sell parts that fit. I can't contact anyone to dispute this because you can't talk to a customer service rep. You can only use online prompts. I won't be ordering through them again.
As a Canadian customer rock auto is amazing. They prepay for border fees making every transaction effortless. I will be ordering from rock auto much more going forward.
I've bought over $2k in parts over the last year, so I guess that makes me somewhat of a frequent customer. RockAuto always has what I need, gets it to me fast, and saves me a TON of money!

Ordered multiple parts, all exact OEM replacements. Prices 50 to 60% of costs locally. Only problem was FEDEX shipping. They misplaced 1 of the pkgs. for 9 days. I had already installed 2nd shipment parts and completed repairs before 1st pkg. mysteriously appeared, confirmed by Tracking Number system.
The product I received from RockAuto was spot-on in their description and the pricing was just right!! We ordered brakes for our car. We had to return them. Car motor quit, so no need to replace brakes. We tried to email them. No answer, nothing for 2 weeks. No response. I will never do business with a company that doesn t provide a 1-800 number. Now we are hoping for a full refund, not holding our breath.
I ordered some parts from them 10 different items, 7 of the items were shipped from one warehouse by USPS and arrived just fine the other 3 items were shipped from a different warehouse by FedEx, they claim they were delivered but I never received the items, after filling a request to find items the just closed the invoice and now refuses to refund my payment, I consider this fraud and will never purchase another thing from them again. I will inform any one who ask me if the should purchase from Rockauto my answer will be only if you wish to be cheated.
The website is not glamorous but an incredibly intuitive way to quickly sort out parts specifically for your vehicle. The parts selection and prices both make this my only source for automotive needs.
The worst customer service I have EVER had. RA has no customer service phone number, email, chat, ect. The only way you can get a return it to select the online options, which at garbage. I'm not driving 25 miles just to drop off a package at fed ex to FIX a screw on RA's part. They sent me the wrong air filter.
Rock Auto's web site is well designed and very easy to use. I have ordered various parts for 3 different autos over the last few years from them and all parts were significantly below local auto parts stores and well below dealership part departments. Delivery was reasonable and all parts fit perfectly. I highly recommend ordering from this company. Since I have never returned any items, I am not able to comment on the return experience. One suggestion is that if your concerned about a part fitting properly (say a power steering pump), I would purchase locally just for ease of return.
I have bought many times from this company and always gave a 5 star rating. Now, they no longer have customer services to answer any technical questions prior to ordering.
The best they offer now is a recorded message suggesting you get guidance somewhere else before purchasing from them. Big mistake!

It is very rare that I write a review for anything but i am really disappointed in this company so here it is. I have always recommended RockAuto to friends and customers because their website is super easy to use, prices are amazing and its super easy. I have spent a lot of money with them and over the last few weeks they have dropped the ball.
#1 First I found an issue with their parts catalog which ended up in my project being delayed a few weeks until I got the correct parts from autozone. They did not care to fix the issue or ship me the new part right away so i could complete the job. after several of the wrong parts they were even nice enough to recommend I get the part elsewhere.
#2 There customer support is setup to remove you from talking to actual people and just refers you to using their website. I wrote an email trying to resolve my issue, no response. I wrote an email to file a complaint, no response.
#3 They ship thru FedEx which is normally not an issue but FedEx lost my box. Rockauto handled it and sent out a new one but my parts didn't arrive for almost three weeks from when i ordered them. Huge delay. I had to make multiple calls to them, a half dozen phone calls to FedEx and make a trip to return the parts and all I got from RockAuto was sorry. The situation was handled poorly in my opinion.
Rockauto is an awesome idea but their customer service blows. They should take some notes from a 5 star customer service company like Summit or Jegs.
I think RockAuto used to be cheaper it's still cheaper than a lot of places but this is many places that are now cheaper for the same brand or quality part

This company is a 1st rate business. They have a wonderful selection of items and parts and the prices are absolutely incredible. All of my orders are always shipped promptly and are packaged very securely. Their monthly newsletter is so very informative and we look forward to it each month. This is my GO-TO place for auto parts!
I have spent over 10 thousands on parts, trying to do a return it won't let me for some sensors. I had 60 days and it is now 62 days. No way to get a exception, etc... Such a shame there is no way to get any support. The description on the site didn't say how many are needed so I don't think this was even a problem i should be responsible for. Going to loose my future business due to about 20 bucks.
When I first ordered ceramic brake pads for my 2013 Chevy cruze, I was happy that Rock Auto had some on clearance. My neighbor assured me that Rock Auto was a great site and a site I could trust. This was last year. I noticed squeaking of the brakes but my neighbor said it was probably moisture buildup because I don't drive my car that much. Fast forward to now, he took my tires off to try and see why it's always squeaking and tells me that the supposed ceramic brake pads I bought are actually metallic. I call rock auto which the prompt tells me that I have to email but I was too upset to email, I needed to speak to a person. I left a message stating the situation and how I felt scammed as this product was listed as ceramic and is actually metallic, and I got a call back from an extremely rude guy, I think his name was David. He told me that since the pads were bought last year, there wasn't anything they could do which isn't acceptable. These brake pads were falsely listed as something they're not, and I'm having to pay the price for false advertising. Even if there isn't anything Rock Auto can do at this point, the guy was completely rude and dismissive of the situation stating he's sorry things didn't go the way I had hoped. No accountability, no taking responsibility, no actually apologizing for selling me something it's not. I would have been fine with a "I'm going to look into this more, to ensure it doesn't happen again". Instead, I was talked to in a very condescending way, which I mentioned as well. I know I'm just one person and what happened to me doesn't make a bit of difference, but any company that is okay with these types of things going on, and then treating customers like this, isn't a company I'll use ever again. It's really a shame that I wasn't treated with any kind of decency as a human. Really sad.
Rockauto has absolutely been the best! I've warranty swapped, returned stuff, and obviously purchased numerous parts from them throughout the years and have NEVER had a negative experience with them. Rockauto is a true ROCKSTAR!
Worst customer service I've ever had to deal with. Fair warning if you get charged a core fee....you will then be charged for shipping again to return it....even if shipping was more then your core fee...along with paying for shipping to your house already....so regardless you lose out on money either way....Rock Auto a word or advice you should fix this problem or you will loose more and more customers. Just my 2 cents worth. Won't be using this company ever again.
First of all, I'm a female who knows nothing about cars. I purchased a part after putting in my cars information. Once I received the item and brought it down to the repair shop and they started working on my car they then told me it was the wrong part. It cost me 1/2 an hour in labor to be told this so I'm now out $50 because of Rock Autos mistake. The parts sent match up to a Ford truck- I have a Volkswagen car. I initiated the return and refund process, sent back the unopened package and had to pay return shipping even though rock auto advertises this part fits my car and it does NOT. I sent the return back. Originally they refused the package from the post office but then a few days later received it. They have had my return since September 5th, their website has said "will be inspected by September 8". They have had my return for 7 days. Buyers beware! They will send you parts that do not fit YOUR car and then who knows how long until you receive your refund

I have used RockAuto on 2 different repair jobs, both times I have ended up @ either a different online site or a local parts store to the correct, complete parts to finish the job. 1st job was a tune up on Honda Accord-Rock sent wrong plug wires. Upon contacting customer service I was informed I would have to buy the correct parts(incl shipping $29 min)/return the wrong parts(incl shipping $29 min) & they would provide a credit (not incl shipping). I took the $60 & bought a set of plug wires locally. 2nd job-I purchased a complete oil pump assembly & complete timing kit (total order $2) for a Toyota, during part inventory I found the oil pump box already opened & there was was no block to housing adapter incl. Contacted RockAuto, & was told that is the way Aisin sells it & they would be unable to assist with either sending me a gasket or accepting a return. Hoping this was just a mistake I called another distributor. Their pump incl the gasket. Trying to give RockAuto a chance to make it right, I asked them if they would consider working with me on shipping cost to resolved the concern. C/S informed because there is no $ in shipping, I would have to purchase my gasket separately & absorb all cost. It wasn't there problem the box was opened & the gasket was missing.
Agree with others.. Shipping is soooooooooo slow. Tracking is inaccurate and takes over week to get your part. Ordered from CARID and the part was delivered in 2 days. Been waiting a week no to get the other side becuase they were out of stock. You cannot get a person on the phone to help you either. Good luck! Won't buy from them again!
Was usually happy with my first 100 orders. My last order was a ignition conversion kit that didn't come with instructions. Box said airtex wells but the module was made by Pertronix Ignition Products. Found the instructions on the Pertronix website, next to the $100 LOWER PRICE AT PERTRONIX.
I really appreciate RockAuto for keeping their prices low.
I have been buying parts almost exclusively from them for the last few years, and have had an excellent experience keeping 5 old clunkers in roadworthy condition.
I hope to have my refrigerator covered with their magnets in a year or two.
Most of my returns have been a result of my own mistakes in ordering and they always make things right regardless.
I would not have been able to fix most of my car problems if I had to pay the prices and deal with the staff at O'Really or the others.
Even on a limited income I can get what I need and parts usually come as fast as if I had paid premium shipping costs.
Their customer service is outstanding, they actually call you to make sure that you are happy.
I recommend them to everyone I know that needs parts.

Always have the parts I'm looking for, and it's usually less expensive. Easy to find parts, with a great deal of choice as well. Pick OEM, or inexpensive replacement, with recommendations from previous shoppers.
Parts were misslabled on page for my 2011 Sprinter and because I installed them to check the fitment I was denied a refund. Also the website deliberately doesn't have a contact number to call. Of the 3 times I've purchased from this site 2 had improper listing information.
I TRIED TO CALL ROCK AUTO CORPORATE BECAUSE THERE WAS AN ISSUE WITH THEIR WEBSITE AND WAS HUNG UP ON TWICE BY 2 INCONSIDERATE MALE RECEPTIONISTS THAT REFUSED TO HELP. ROCK AUTO HAS BEEN GREAT TO DEAL WITH IN THE PAST, BUT I GUESS THIS IS HOW THEY TREAT LONG TERM CUSTOMERS. JUST HOPE THEY GET THEIR WEBSITE FIXED AND YOU DONT HAVE TO DO A RETURN.

Have purchased many parts in the past and have never had to return any of them. I recently purchased a Bosal exhaust system. The flanges on each of the parts were wrong and would not fit each other. .absolutely the worst customer service very rude and condescending. Had to pay to have the parts shipped back. I will never buy parts or recommend them ever again....ever.

We made our second order at Rockauto, this time we've been looking for Mitsubishi Eclipse parts. We have an autorepairshop in Germany cloused to Berlin and couldn't get any parts for this modell in Germany because it's not supportet from Mitsubishi in Germany. Now we're very surprised again!!! Have ordered 2 alternators from them. First one worked for about 2 months ordered second one and its came broke. Don't recommend at all if you are in a hurry.
I had heard good things about RockAuto from online forums so when I needed a few parts I gave them a try. They had a variety of brands so I could pick a manufacturer with a good reputation. Their prices were very competitive, with reasonable shipping prices. I might have been able to save a dollar or two by bargain hunting on eBay but I would rather buy a trusted brand from a trusted company.
Finally, their shipping was faster than promised. My parts came from two warehouses. I ordered on the 5th and one shipment was expected to arrive by the 8th and arrived on the 7th; the other was expected to arrive by the 13th and it arrived on the 9th.
I have never had a bad experience with Rock Auto. Parts are quick and easy to look up, and part numbers allow easy comparisons to retail prices.
Rock Auto prices frequently are well below retail, even after paying for shipping and handling, and they do a great job of getting the parts shipped quickly. My most recent purchase was a blower motor, which saved me over $20 from what I would have paid retail, and got me a better motor (fan, and proper molded wiring connector included) than I'd have gotten from my local parts store. Best part, I got it literally the day after I ordered it!
Online customer service really suck , return policy very confusing terrible, phone call u don't speak to anyone if u don't have the person derict number that's terrible I feel like there dodging everything .Not very happy with there system
