They took over openpay services while we were paying off a bunnings kitchen.
They do NOT take payments on time in a deliberate attempt to charge late fees. They also double charge, you need to keep an eye on the transactions.
Horrible business, and good luck getting them on the phone, I don't bother anymore just email.

Over the past few weeks, I have been contacted repeatedly, approximately every two days, via phone and SMS messages. The caller has a distinct accent that I associate with a country known for a significant number of global scams, which raises an immediate red flag for me.

What is particularly alarming is that the caller is in possession of my personal details, including my full name, address, and phone number. During these calls, I am asked to confirm confidential details such as my full name and date of birth as part of a "confirmation process".

These people are a scam do not respond to them. They have been reported

Paid my debt off early using their special discounted offer and then was still charged for the same debt a few days later. Haven't been refunded yet either.

Agree with Todd above...parasites is an apt description of this mob. My experience so far is that they behave like common thugs; they seem to think they can arbitrarily make financial demands of people while providing no explanation or opportunity for recourse. This is the type of company that is ruining Australia. Shame on you Recoveries Corp!

Appalling customer service, and lack of timely delivery, I was expecting a closer letter to be provided so I could receive a pending home loan and Recovery corps was the only institute holding the process up, every other organisations provided this instantly however recovery or corp firstly could not only could my details When I first rang. After calling back another Customer adviser located them and informed me I would receive a letter within 24hrs this was on Thursday 9th May 2019 I rang to follow up on Friday 10th b at 1100 only to be advised it would now be arrive by Monday, This may be to late, I rang again at 445 only to be placed on hold for two hours I can only assume the team went home before or exactly at 5 I hope recoveries corp are aware they potentially may be leaving without a home loan I hope the entire team are aware of the stress this has caused me and my entire family and friends

Extremely rude, mannerless and incompetent customer service staff. I called them and asked a simple question and the lady did not want to explain the process, just very rudely told me what my problem was. I could not believe such people working in customer service! Pathetic!!!

Crooks. Somehow they got hold of my postal address and when I returned from holidays, they'd sent me a final notice threatening legal action for a debt that wasn't mine! The deadline had well and truly passed by the time I received the letter. When I called them, they admitted their "mistake" and said they wouldn't pursue it... but I don't trust them. On advice from Consumer Action Law Centre, I have written to Recoveries Corp (via registered mail, so I have a record) requesting they confirm their mistake in writing, and will not take any action against me, and remove my details from their system. I've also written to Scam Watch and ABC TV The Checkout. Beware, people!

Companies like this no doubt contribute to the suicide rate in Australia, I can see how people in dispair and struggling would feel helpless deeling with thugs like this, australian government needs to step in and SHUT THIS COMPANY DOWN, disgusting that big insurance companies and banks partner with these people.

They have been sending me toll notices saying there overdue how can I receive toll notices if I have a e tag. They then sent me another letter saying if I pay now they will lower the amount that s owing... SCAM I contacted the toll companies and turns out to be I owe nothing... so please people be aware of these kind of things.

Tried to call a friend of mine who had moved overseas you recover money she didn't owe to AGL, she left the country with a credit on her account - company will attempt underhanded recoveries of money that isn't owed.

The guy couldn't even prove who he was - just knew my name No way these days do I then give anyone any info - went directly to Optus to see what had gone on and all sorted .

Rude service, there is a joining fee of $385 while they telling you no recovery no commission. totally a scam. And they will direct debt the money when you call at the first time while they are confirming you bank account! do not use their service, there is too much reliable companies in the market who do not charge a joining fee!!!!!!!

Received an SMS from this mob saying I owed $87.94 to a company I had never heard of. Three phone calls later I was told it was a mistake and to ignore the SMS. I requested this in writing or at least as an SMS but was told that was not possible.
Why not?
What happens down the track when the matter is elevated to their lawyers and I have nothing other that a verbal statement from an unknown person that I owe nothing?

Never use this company! Constant monthly payments debited from your account and no evidence of communication to the debtor. Over the course of the 73 days my debt was loaded, not once did i receive a call to give me a status update on how things were tracking. If i hadn't called, the contract would have been rolling over every month with no correspondence. This company is a complete scam! Upon wanted to cancel the contract, it was advised to cancel the "debt". This in fact did not cancel the "account" and therefore i was wearing the same monthly payments simply to have an account with no debts being chased!! Incredible!

Pursuing me over a fraudulent account, it's a police matter yet their call centre persists on auto dial and who cares?, harassment is their only discipline, not deserving of the one star, can't publish with zero

I previously had issues with Optus for months in trying to cancel an account with them. Optus continually apologised and confirmed multiple times I had nothing owing and gave me a credit.
Next moment, this company is calling and harassing me.
After being called, they asked me to confirm my details and I asked them to confirm theirs first: check mate.
This was from a normal looking number. I blocked it afterwards.
Ongoing calls and harassment from a private number after that.
Never let anyone call YOU then ask YOU to confirm your details! They should already know who you are if they are calling you!

Received a letter advising of money owing no info!! Then a few days later received a demand to pay an amount with no info I feel that this is a SCAM???? Not happy Jan

Phoned back , after confirming my name and phone number they told me i had a bill with Virgin mobile (Who i am still with and haven't recieved any late payment letters or calls from ) But wouldn't give me any other info because i wouldn't confirm my Address and d.o.b with them. Called Virgin mobile , theres no bill with them , my account is up to date. (Which I knew) . Called Recoveries corp back and was hung up on twice after telling them I wouldn't confirm details. Wait for a letter in the mail the lady said... Scam artists aren't getting any money out of me !

Incompetent staff members. They call you up and ask you for your personal details to validate. Who would have ever give that. I said I will call you back and it just got worse. They could not find anything and asked a myriad of questions. I am still none the wiser.

They use a Melbourne law courts postal address displayed on their envelopes and letterhead to scare debtors.

Their actual address is 333 Collins St, Melb. This deceives people in to thinking they're in trouble with the law courts of Melbourne. Quite intentionally deceptive and scaring people into paying their debts.

They have stolen $90 of my money and iv waited 3 weeks to recieve it back and still nothing , how is this company legal and opperating ?

I have just had a call from "Tina" from "Recoveries Corp" claiming they are acting on behalf of AGL. When I questioned her back the phone call was ended. I rang Recoveries Corp back to query the call...when I asked the receptionist wasn't she worried about having the company being used in a Scam...she told me NOT REALLY!! How SHONKY!! My advice do not engage in any call from this company!!

This copany is a joke! They don't leave any message, called from private numbers and mobile phone numbers, called back asked for all personal informations before unsure what is the matter related to. Block their numbers is the only advise i can leave.

Extremely bad and unprofessional service.Recieved a real nasty shock both yesterday and today stating that now I owe them twice more than the original excess that had already been refunded.Also they stated that my insurance refusing to talk to them ooookkkk! Can I give 0 Stars? They refused to give me the details of the business that our business "owed" money to. They did not listen! They are robots that will not deviate. They have "policies" not based on any legislation and are virtually made up. They refuse to communicate in writing, pass on debt company details or aim for solutions. They sound like they are fraudulent, yet the scary part is they are operating without impunity. They need to be shut down. The Australian government must step in. Many people would be paying just to get them off their back. They were expecting us to pay by credit card for a bill that we had never received! The company hides behind the fact that the call centre is in Fiji ...really!?!?

This company are scammers! DO NOT PAY THEM A CENT! They CLAIM to be the Australian Taxation Department BUT are simply a Debt Collection Agency which add on thousands of dollars worth of fees to your original debt. DONT RESPOND to their letters of demand or harassing phone calls.

Scammers, keep on calling my daughter s number, they are using a private number so one can t even see a number they are calling from. Asked them for a number to call them back on today, they said they would text it to me, of course no text. DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM!!!!! They all have Indian accents. Absolute scum company. First of all I got a text from them: "MR *my name* (I'm not a Mr lol) recoveriescorp has an important matter for your attention click the link to view" and did they not even attach a link, I thought it looked like a failed scam and ignored. Fast forward a few days, and I start getting calls from random phone numbers and another text saying to call them, I did and the robotic sounding lady on the phone with no manners or customer service demanded my full name, DOB and residential address!! I gave my name as they already had that, but refused to give them my sensitive info, as to my knowledge I did not have any debts needing to be recovered and still thought it was a scam call trying to steal my personal info. Called up my electric and phone providers to be sure and turns out I did have an internet bill with an old optus account that had a pro-rata amount left on it that I was told by optus previously was fully paid off and closed. The bill was $83 ($30 of it was late fees as it has been sitting there since october 2018), worked out with optus that they had been sending overdue notices to the wrong address even though I had provided them with my current address, so they waived the late fees and I paid them my $53, all sorted. Recoveriescorp called a few hours later again, now I knew it wasn't fake I provided them with my details to verify myself, they gave me the usual "we are recording this call blah blah" and I said "oh that's okay, just to let you know I am recording from my end also". The lady on the phone seemed to get really angry about that and yelled at me to stop recording because I don't have permission and authorisation. I asked her why can she record but I can't? She went on about some privacy thing and she said she will stop recording me if I stop recording her, I say "sure" and she goes on to say "your total outstanding amount is $94.xx, how would you like to settle this amount today, mastercard or visa?". I tell her in polite terms to get screwed if she thinks I am going to give her my credit card info over the phone. I then tell her the bill is for $83, not $94, and she spouts some nonsense about optus having a new service charge that has been added to my bill - talked to someone at optus again about this, this is total BS! Recoveriescorp obviously adds a random amount onto your debt to keep for themselves. I finally give up my act and tell her I've already resolved the matter with optus so she can stop calling me, and she pretty much acted like I was lying and demanding a reference number proving I had paid them and asking how much I paid them, I told her I paid them $53 because they waived my late charges and she implied that she would have to contact me again because she doesn't think I have paid them enough.

I can't imagine being someone who has fallen on tough times and haven't been able to pay bills (this whole saga was over less than $100, imagine how onto you they'd be if you had hundreds or thousands owing in bills) and have to deal with these rude, pushy, demanding phone reps who want your payment info to get more money out of you than you actually owe to your providing company/s.

Don t bloody ask me for my personal information when you can t verify who you are or the purpose of your call and who you represent it is a against policy for me to share personal information for the purpose of privacy protection, if you wish to do business with me you are required to provide information on who you are and on who s behalf you are calling if you cannot provide this information you are welcome to stick any and all debts right up your rectal cavity

This is a Scam company! . First off they were harassing me by ringing me 4 or 5 times a day Monday to Friday from a private number. And then because I eventually answered, they wanted me to confirm my full name, postal address, phone number and email address. This is what leads to identity theft and there's plenty of that going around. The last thing you'd ever want to do in this life and the next is give away any details about yourself to a bunch of low life Scumbags

A lady from this company called me asking for my date of birth and my address. She was insisting on getting these information without providing me with any information. They sounded like scam. Don't trust them and don't provide them with any personal details.Cheers!

Just received a letter for unpaid tolls from this company saying I owe them money. Funny, I have all my receipts of paying the tolls. This company is a complete scam. If you do receive a letter from them saying you owe them money, DO NOT PAY IT. It is horrible how this company can do this to people. Just HORRIBLE!!!!!!

Extremely rude with very little knowledge. I spoke to a woman by the name of Jez who had very little manners and insulted me numerous times. She also failed to send me the biller code for bpay after I asked her to twice. I dont want to have to deal with them again.

I have not had that much contact with this company yet. But after reading all the reviews, how can this business still be operating. I have been sent an amount of nearly $7000 to be collected in a week supposedly from an insurance company who s process is to contact you themselves. Who I have yet to hear from yet. I was sick to my stomach when I received this email. They need to be reported and stop operating.

these people are the stand over merchants, we have given them all the legal paperwork to the actual bad debtor that they need to seek in relation to a fraudulent telephone account and even the police link number and yet they still ring us daily even trying to get us to do deals on half the money or they will just keep ringing we have now reported THEM to the police they are nothing short of a bunch of criminals trust me if you are looking for a debt recovery company these pests are not even worth considering

Without eluding to what the matter concerns and refusing to disclose who they are acting on behalf of, I was asked to verify personal details over the phone in order to proceed. Im not an idiot, so I declined to do so. I was told I'd continue to receive calls until I complied. I have no outstanding debts and can only assume this is a scam. If not, I imagine they need to revise their privacy framework, as it would be remiss of anyone to volunteer personal details in the manner requested by this 'company'.

Got a call Saturday morning asking me to confirm my first name, which I did after they said they have a complete file on my name, address ect. After I confirmed my first name she wanted me to disclose my last name, email address and residency. Good joke.

I did have debts 3 years ago to state debt recovery ive paid it off. Now this company is trying to tell me I haven't paid and it's been passed on to them.
I called them up on multiple occasions they have said I owe them money being different amounts. One lady said I own $1,400 and a man said I owe $800.
They are seriously a joke

who are they, why have they been calling me asking me for my details since i have been 17. Do not give them anything!!! they are only criminals nothing else. I have no debt, finances or a mortgage and they can't tell me why they are calling or where they are calling from.

I have never paid a fine so quickly just so I didn t have to have any communication with the people that work for this company. They have no idea what is going on! I kept getting return calls asking for payment that I had already processed and when I called them back (had to call the mobile number back because the voicemails they leave are 15 seconds of silence until they hang up, which is so unprofessional) they told me that no one from the company had even spoke to me even though I had the email address of the man and email evidence. I had to sit on the phone with them for 20 minutes while they figured out why anyone had even called me!! Time wasters!

Received an outstanding invoice from the company. We have only one account with Optus. Pay monthly and on time. Thank goodness we googled the company on line and checked the reviews.

I have to say, that I have always paid for my telephone bills and I received their private number, the connection was weak and they got my name wrong and then immediately asked me for my privacy details, when I understandably refused to do so and asked that some written communication be sent to my registered address, I was berated - I then asked for the caller's personal details and was advised that I didn't have a file for them and I responded how do I know they have a file for me without any information but they were beyond rude, happy to give them a 1 star but I see nearly the majority of users have beat me to it. The irony is that I pay all of my bills so if I indeed "owe" just $150 on a bill, I would gladly pay it with evidence of that bill as I need the invoice to be able to pay it, I do not need to be insulted by this company though

They are chasing me on behalf of Optus with a ghost account. After explaining I have no account with Optus (Optus confirming no infringements) they keep calling one incompetent person after the other, right up to the managers. They call on many different numbers harassing you from 9am til 6pm. This has been going on for more than 4 months now. If anyone else is going though this is like to hear about it.

Engaged these stains to chase a debt for us, charged us a fee upfront even when we advised we weren t going ahead and have refused to return our money and ignored our emails.

Ask them to provide signed copies of terms & conditions from ISP's or carriers, or verified voice recordings that clearly show you agreed to pay the EXORBITANT charges

I had someone call me from this number and spoke to me in a foreign language. I had no idea I had an outstanding bill on a toll until I called back to see who the missed call was from! I don't trust giving my details to anyone who can't even communicate with me

Was told I owed money to CityLink for a suspended account (which I knew about) and that I couldn t pay it straight to CityLink, and that it needed to go through them. Called CityLink 5 minutes later and was told I could indeed pay the money directly to them. On top of this Recoveries Corp tried to charge me more than what I owed in the first place.

They do not care about your situation whatsoever.... I made a mistake with centrelink years back and im treated like a criminal. This company is worse than GE.... And they are BAD!!

They are a bunch on scammers! Do not be afraid to fight their claims as they are lairs and try to bully people into paying non existing debts. My lawyers proved that they are liers. Do not let them bully you.

Pretty sure this is scam, been now receiving sms and emails. They said i had a outstanding AGL bill, call AGL they did not know the referance number and any outstanding bill. They confirmed they do not work with Recoveriescorp.

No interest in IT Security. I received a scam email from a name that apparently does not work at the company, and a reference number that is not valid. I had no debt referred to a mercantile agent so I called the company by phone - but when I tried to escalate the security breach to a manager there was no interest.

Nobody available. No call back. No interest.

Very poor from an organisation that is responsible for contacting people who may have legitimate debts to be pursued.

I personally found them very professional, and very good at communication.

Been receiving letters, emails and constant phone calls from these scammers stating I owe $900 for an insurance claim against my name and a car that's apparently registered under my name and they want me to confirm all these details. Yeah good joke.
