Stunning older building. Vast amount of rooms including the Gloucestershire Drama Academy on the top floor. I would recommend going to it if there's something going on that takes your fancy.

The Old Convent is a fantastic space with a number of uses. The creative space used by the Drama Academy for teaching and rehearsals is ideal and inspiring, especially with a new lick of Teal paint! The feel of the place is a wonderful combination of true aged beauty and environmentally inspired modern fixings including sensor controlled lighting. I feel very at home when I visit.

The Old Convent oozes character and atmosphere, making it the perfect space to inspire creativity. The perfect environment for running a wide range of organisations and businesses, with its many rooms of all shapes and sizes. On the edge of Stroud centre, it is ideally located for meetings and accessing the town centre facilities.

Such a beautiful building - I have seen some of the refurbishments recently and the top room is absolutely gorgeous with its super high ceiling and stunning wooden floor. It has so much character throughout the rest of the building and has a warm and friendly feeling to it. Highly recommended as a wonderful space to work in and socialise in!

The Old Convent is an exciting and vibrant venue. Home to the eclectic and electrifying Gloucester Drama Academy run by Chas Burns with irrepressible energy and attended by a body of trainee actors with brave new ideas and a passion for acting. The Old Convent boasts some amazing spaces to meet in, work in, perform in, film and record in. And that's just scratching the surface.

I joined the drama academy here last year. GDA put me on the path that I wanted to be on. Before I joined GDA I struggled a lot with anxiety, but Chas brought me out of my shell and nourished my love of acting to the point where, after a year at GDA, I am on a performing arts course and preparing to audition for drama school.

The Old Convent has large rooms and is spacious for many classes to take place there. The classes taken there are drama, singing, and dance that I know of so far. It is very near to the Stroud town centre and has public transport near by.

The convent has such a unique feel as soon as you step inside and the work that has been done so far to update and restore it is impressive. There are many local people and businesses now taking advantage of its many rooms.

The rooms are all so individual, as are all the people who own it and choose to work from there. A creative hub.

I would recommend looking round even just to see the fantastic work being carried out. The drama academy upstairs has a great space for individuals or group work and there is a very large room that can be hired out for larger group sessions.

A beautiful building, thankyou all who take part in keeping it open, warm and inviting, it's a real pleasure to visit and a fantastic community asset.

I am pleased to be an occupant in this wonderful building, which is coming to life as a nice community of artistic and therapeutic experts, including a TV and Theatre Company, a Recording and Rehearsal Studio and of course my wonderful room where I compose music for Film, TV and Media. The owners are doing a good job in bringing this 19th century building into a creative hub, right in the centre of Stroud!
