Horrible experience. This institute and it's service is not worth it. I'm just in the process of applying to mdis for an advanced diploma in business management. Just enrolling in this course as an international student has been so difficult. They don't provide the student any information or guidance. Only clear guidance for payment procedures nothing else in terms of timelines, student visa everything you have to run after them and they ll give you every excuse under the sun. Very sketchy staff, unwilling to provide time to explain anything. They don't answer calls, don't respond to emails. Impossible to reach. Even if they do respond it's a wonder and then they give you half information not the full picture. The country managers for the international department provide such poor pathetic service. They re only objective should be to admit the student and even that is made so impossible and difficult very unlike Singapore. Singapore is a great place but the lack of work ethics within this institute is astounding.
The lecturers there do not even can explain well on their subjects. So, I stop paying the fees and enrol to NUS.
Good teaching, but unfortunately most of their Diplomas are not recognized if you wish to continue studying at universities.
Worst student care and admin department. Worst student coordinator rachel samly. Worst customer service. Worst lecturers. Worst teaching materials. But collect money number 1. Highly NOT recommended.
Think Before you Join. Worst Staff and teaching professionals.
Cleanest, Greenest, Iconic institution with best Services and Courses , Founded in 1956.
Loved the experience and the degrees offered, especially at MDIS Business School. Well-Done!
MDIS is the school of choice! International standards, overseas partners, lots of courses to choose from. The best school for my son!
I did my MBA in 2015-16... Shifted back to India and my degree works fine here.. I work in a bank with a decent designation.
Why must here be a student in MDIS to waste their time and joy? JUst work as an Auxillary Police Officer.
I have a feeling they just want money. They unwilling to provide time to explain. Their responses they give you half information not even the full picture. What kind of school refuse to tell you anything?
I heard that people study here still cannot get promoted in their careeer.
The campus is beautiful and the faculty is really insightful and friendly. It may take some time to familiarise with the life on campus but it turns out to be amazing! A lot of activities are encouraged and learning is more like experiencing and having fun. The canteen food is good too.
I was warned by my older relatives that going to MDIS is a waste of money and time.
All their courses are such a waste of time and money.
I study here, got motorcycle parking nearby and 711
I glad to complete MS course in that place and do not come back there anymore. My expectation of the course was completely different from experience during the study. I can't say that all course is nothing, but I just saw how weak the management and lectures team in MDIS. For the student who wants to study in Singapore, I recommend to chose another institution instead of MDIS. Thank you.
This insitute is a place where false teachers prosper by scamming.
I had many former classmates that keep complaining aobut MDIS.
Poor communication between staff and client. I ended up waiting at the first day of a class that was cancelled, but wasn't communicated to me.
Everything is very good ex. Building , teacher , hostel and other services accept washing service In my and my friend opinion we think that washing service is not good as we expect because - one of the washing service employee (a woman) is very rude to me and some of my friends and she is always angry . - sometimes I get clothes that aren t mine Thanks for reading our feedback
I asked about the course and they ask me to quickly pay.
The worst private institution in SG. Please beware. The certificate here (diploma/degree, etc..) is NOT RECOGNISED, I have confirmed with MOE and teachers teaching in MOE schools. Besides, this school just want your money and more money from you. I feel like being scammed. Even the student administrator can t be of help. They make me paid so much that in the end I realised it s more than the course fee. If you want to study in a private school, please find elsewhere. I highly don t recommend this school at all (unless you re willing to pay them blindly).
There are cases of people quitting the course on the first day (orientation) and not getting a full refund even though it's stated in the contract that there's 100% refund on the first week. The head of the school are foreigners who's only intentions are profits exploitation. Literally the worst private school in Singapore, a scam organisation. Worthless certificates.
MDIS It seem like there are more negative comments than good one. How come? Last update Oct2017
From the way the recptionist talk, I already know that their courses do not give me better qualification.
I attend the presentation at my first year of my degree and they make fun of me. So, I quit the course.
MDIS is a big college located at near queenstown MRT. Campus offer all courses from diploma to master level.
Degree awarded by UK Teesside university and have friendly staffs, fully equipped engineering laboratory and workshops on campus, singapore oldest not for profit propessional institute for life long learning, diverse teaching team with relavant industrial experiences.international working professional can utilise the part time to complete the degree also. Friendly staffs, coolest environment.
Heard from a friend that the lecturers in this school don't teach anything
Honestly speaking, MDIS is not what you would normally expect in a University. Unlike local Uni (NTU, NUS, SMU etc), MDIS is seriously disorganised as a whole. And here are some of the reasons why: 1. Student Management services takes way too long to get back to their students. Be it request or enquiry. And also, they would do nothing to heed the plea of their students. 2. Lecturers / Professors are incompetent and fickle. One moment the lecturer / professor may request of you to submit 2 weeks later, and the next moment they tell you that deadline is next week. Change on assignment deadline on short notice. At times, lecturers may show up at work 30min to an hour late without valid reasoning and still do not have their materials that they need for educating you. Often more than not, they are just reading out from their textbooks. In that case, why do you even need him/her? 3. Poor facilities. Even though the campus may look impressive on the outside, it really is just rotten on the inside. MDIS is poorly equipped in their labs, students have to share a sample, which could result in cross contamination, but the staff would not care either way. Upon feedback, the staff informed the student that they may have to pay more school fees for better facilities. In the first place, the environment provided is not sufficient to be called a university, if you needed the money, charge them. If not dont try to stay borderline "safe", by providing inadequate materials. 4. The certification that you get out of MDIS is definitely not as recognised as any other university here in Singapore. Moreover, there are other better options such as SIT or SUSS, if not just go overseas to study on a loan. It would be a hell lot better than staying in Singapore and getting a bad certification. If the above reasons to you does not seem like much of a problem, then go ahead. Enjoy your stay at MDIS :)
during my 2 years here i found this is a good course for local students especially with good lectures and lab combined with tutorials help me so much and all the experiences with my friends here although most of class mates are local .Thank you
0 star. I studied Computer Science there. I dont care about the student service although it was the worst you could ever get. What i care about is education quality, and MDIS is some sort of a primary school: Incompetent as a whole, from lecturers to students, there are only couple of phD level lecturers and absolutely no professor or ast. professor, students cant even speak english properly. If you are a competent student, the lecturers are not good enough to understand you, they have no knowledge in math and data analyst, they cant do basic matrix operation ... zero understanding in time and space complexity (they dont even put complexity, data struct and algorithm in the syllabus) Next is the assetments, you have to remember this is a primary school. The ones who mark your works are a bunch of people with master degree from some private school. So if you are competent student, you have to lower your IQ alot to use non technical term, choose non technical topic of research. Dont even think of using binary tree or graph to solve problem, nor using any machine learning algorithm, simply because the lecturers are not qualified enough to mark you. So they will give a "safe" mark like 6 or 6.5 out of 10. Finally, mdis get u a worthless degree which is not recognised by any other organizations. If you are not good enough for NUS, NTU at least go for SMU. MDIS has never been, never will be a university. And you deserve to be in a university.
Very worse admin and eagerly lookin for money. Please don't choose it in future for your children
On my first day of MDIS the lectuurer do not teach anythings, so I stop paying their fees and enrol to NUS.
The recptionist do not answer my questions for the course, they push me to sign and pay.
Adminstration team is 1 star, system is not in place, MAS does not recognise, student care centre supposed to close at 7.30pm, but the truth is last transaction must be completed before 7.30pm cause they are too busy packing up to go back.
Huge campus with a lot of facilities. Very conclusive place to study. Located close to Queenstown MRT station.
Big hall with stage for rent to organize Dandiya, garba, Ghoomar dance party, wedding events.
Their students owe me money and I can t get any help from the school
I would give the MDIS Singapore-Cambridge GCE A level prepatory course zero stars if i could. Most teachers are awful with terrible teaching materials. Some teachers are great, but it depends on your luck if you are in their class. I had a teacher who did not even know what syllabus they were supposed to teach and a teacher who would only spend half the lesson teaching and the other half going on breaks themselves. Administrative staff are beyond hopeless, zero communication if classes were cancelled which led to many students travelling down for nothing: a waste of time and money. One of them even barged in during a lesson to conduct a survey. Additionally, turnover rate for the admin staff is high which suggests a poor working environment Internal exams conducted seem to be only for show as you are not allowed to keep the papers for your own revision after they are marked. The number of practical lessons for H2 science subjects is woefully insufficient. This is a profit-maximising company who appear to be suriviving by scamming foreign students, i can t think of any positives about my experience here. Avoid at all costs.
All their qualifications are never recognized. Don't ever study or pay a fee there.
Place to earn private diploma. Whether it is good depends on you
Singapore s OLDEST Non-For-Profit Professional Institute. A good choice.
Before I sign up for a course in MDIS, I have a bad feeling when I listen to how the admin speak.
School and the lecturers are very unprofessional. Barred me for a whole module, base on some rumors that i signed for a friend. Humiliated me in class, infront of everyone and gave no solid evidence. Only came to find out on exam day i was barred from the exam!
A lot of pretty girls on Instagram are from this school.
Below average college offering unrecognised diploma programmes, mainly populated by students from mainland China. Approach with caution.
Many students seen coming in and out daily.. seem like a conducive place to study.
THat place is an open and cheap place compare to all the Campuses in SIngapore.
