Great hotel, we had a room with a view of the aquarium.
The breakfast buffet was great, huge selection.
Great hotel, we had a room with a view of the aquarium.
The breakfast buffet was great, huge selection.
In a 'business class' room, had a great view of Dom and river, great breakfast. Good location close to hackescher mark, trams and S bahn, and Alexander platz.
Overall 4/5 Very good service but rooms are not 5 star. Rooms 3/5 Large rooms with a comfortable bed, but the desk had coffee stains and the shower had very low water pressure. Service 5/5 Very good service, no delay in check in and was always willing to help.
For 182 EUR per night including garage space, there was a relatively spacious room - but with a view to the inside, on the bar. No windows to the outside. This is very depressing and there is no chance to catch something of the weather - it is always dark there. One must also leave the curtain closed to protect you from the eyes of the bar guests or the guests in opposite rooms.
The beds were not good. In our case, these were two loveless beds that were pushed together so lightly that they nearly separated themselves almost without help. Below, the feathers looked out - all in the charm of a youth hostel.
The breakfast for 25 EUR per person we have then left out the view of the not particularly lush buffet.
Something positive: the staff were always very friendly.
We forgot our 150 EUR toothbrush in the room. It was just gone, although the staff was really trying to find them again.
Update: The toothbrush was found by the staff and sent back.
pleasant hotel atmosphere. love to come back the bar and the restaurant are also recommended
Excellent! Elegant and great gin recommendations at the bar!
Great location. Staff are friendly. Giant fish tank in the middle of the hotel is amazing. Highly recommend.
Nice hotel and as others have said, it's in a great location.
The "fish tank" in the reception area, is obviously a dominant feature and all our party (especially the grandson), got a great kick out of it. The rooms were also well up to standard, however if I had to make one small negative remark (not a complaint), it would be in relation to the standard of the showers. However, it would not be a negative only due to the standard of the ones (showers), in the accommodation we stayed in just before that. All the staff we interacted with were very helpful, right from Sebastian who assisted us with the luggage u to the room to the concierge (sorry have forgotten him name).
Underground parking directly under the hotel, but the elevators and the front desk are at peak times completely overburdened
Amazing location and friendly staff. Excellent food and drink, will come back again.
Pros:
* Big rooms which are well organized internally.
* There are rooms with connecting doors for families.
* Soundproofing is very good
* Amazing breakfast with options for everyone
* Very good service
* The big aquarium is a nice bonus
Cons:
* WiFi at the rooms was a bit weak
* Mini bar products are outrageously high priced but there is some free space to put your own products
* Only a few English speaking TV channels
Slept great, beautiful view and a nice breakfast. I hope I can sleep there again in the future;)
Great location and the insane aquarium was un unexpected treat.
Staying here at present , lovely hotel but not what i would class as a 4star plus , Room nice with a double bed but have 2 singe duvets for it (when asked for a large duvet was told sorry all are used are singles ????)
Also very poor nights sleep on a very hard and uncomfortable bed when I enquired if it could be changed to a softer one was told no all matteresses are the same (looks like 3 nights of poor sleep then
Wonderful hotel, including a beautiful aquarium surrounding the elevator - a SeaLife in the middle of the hotel. Class. Very central location.
The hotel is quite good, but more important is the great aquarium right at the entrance, which can be visited by all
Although we never stayed at the hotel, it is worth entering the reception just to see the 1,000,000 litre aquarium floating in the air.
I'm here for business every week for a day or two and feel really comfortable. Each room has a kettle or coffee maker and free coffee and tea. The soap and lotions smell wonderful and the breakfast in the morning is just awesome. From soymilk, porridge, egg station, everything to bread and fruit ... Very nice service. Thank you very much
Although I was not yet a guest, I occasionally ask if I can use the toilet. The friendly staff are already worth a good rating
The location and the aquarium simply brilliant. The rooms are already refurbishable. The breakfasts get a lot from the standard of the hotel, very small selection, mid-range products and ... scrambled eggs with powder.
The lobby is unique. The giant aquarium just makes it all better. Rooms were very clean and beds very comfortable.
This is a very poor hotel in terrible condition requiring major renovations from entrance to roof. The only benefit was that we were given two separate rooms instead of a family room. However, they did not explain why the family was unavailable. Everywhere there is dust, bed linen with smudges, dirty carpets, furniture worn to holes, uncleaned toilets, smoky rooms (although they gave a non-smoking room). Bottled water in rooms from the tap, but bottles from mineral water.
The breakfast is very poor and pathetic. Now it is apparently accepted to justify oneself with a pandemic, but then several stars must be removed.
One of the elevators had a burning smell and it shook violently while driving. We informed the staff and began to observe their actions from the side, but no one inspected the elevator or even turned it off. This hotel positions itself as 5 stars Hotel, but in fact it does not reach 3. Unreasonably expensive for such living conditions. I do not recommend staying there.
The room does not have any plugs next to the bed. The bottled water in my room was used and half empty. The tissue box was empty. The fridge was unplugged and empty. With many options in Berlin I will avoid this hotel in the future. Staff was friendly and the room was clean.
A fancy restaurant for gourmets. However, the room service is between 3-4 stars ... There's a very nice view ...
It is very close to the TV tower it is a very very nice hotel
Exactly what you would expect plus a 15 metre fish tank in the main lobby. Well worth a stay.
We stayed at this hotel with a child.
One thing is clear to us, 5 stars do not automatically mean that everything is clean and beautiful. We only give 5 stars for the location, the size of the room and the breakfast. We only give 3 stars for staff and cleanliness.
In our bathroom there was long black hair in the shower and on the tiles. And all in all, everything didn't make a very clean impression (telephone, TV was covered in dust, carpet dirty) so we really expected more.
When you consider what the room cost. The bed was very clean, as was the toilet. There are no sockets on the bed and no hairdryer in the bathroom (is separate in the closet)
The check-in staff spoke no German and only poor English, so we had to find out some things ourselves. The aquarium is an eye-catcher, but for us it doesn't make up for the lack of cleanliness. The hotel is really big and central and has so much potential. Really a shame that the cleanliness in the room was saved. We would have liked to have said this personally at checkout. Unfortunately, we weren't even asked how our stay was. Measured by the price (190 euros / 1st night, 2 adults, 1 child) including breakfast, this is a high price and can only be justified by the location and size. For us, however, none of them were worthy of 5 stars.
Good hotel in Berlin. Ideal location to visit many Berlin attractions on foot. The aquarium in the lobby is a must-see.
This unique 5-star hotel features a 25-meter aquarium. It features a spa with pool and free Wi-Fi. The hotel is located in the city center, opposite the Berlin Cathedral and 700 meters from Alexanderplatz square.
The stylish rooms at the Radisson Blu Hotel Berlin feature air conditioning, a flat-screen TV and a laptop safe. The modern bathrooms have high-quality toiletries and a hairdryer. All rooms are non-smoking. Many rooms have a balcony.
The Atrium Bar with a superb aquarium serves a variety of drinks. The elegant restaurant HEat with a terrace serves international cuisine, and a buffet breakfast is served in the morning. Breakfast can also be served with takeaway. Guests can download e-journals for free using the hotel s application.
With a friend of ours we took part in the "Hotelaktion Berlin" of the Radisson Hotel on July 25th / 26th, 2020. Unfortunately, the promised and included services were not provided. It was not possible to check in from 1 p.m. (the rooms were only ready from 2:30 p.m.), and our friends (room 1208) did not receive a room upgrade. We searched in vain for the bottle of sparkling wine in our rooms, which was offered as an additional service, in both rooms (we had room 1113). Also the promised 2 bottles were missing. Water in our room. Too bad, these really avoidable negative things spoiled our otherwise great hotel visit.
Disadvantage
1. The service is not enthusiastic, not thoughtful, the coffee machine is broken, the front desk said that someone will be sent immediately, and no one will come to operate after one day.
2. The old hotel can smell the taste of the old house and needs decoration
3. The hall is noisy and can't be used.
advantage
1. Good location
2. Characteristic fish tank
3. The hotel is soundproof and the house is very quiet.
It s also an interesting experience anyway.
Location is super great - near Alexanderplatz. Just 2 min walk. They serve good breakfast with beatiful view.
Design of rooms could be a bit more modern for this level of the hotel.
Well located. All services from the same company by the friendly staff. Public transport tickets, postal issues, etc., all was handled easily.
Nice hotel, friendly Peesonal. The aquarium is an eye-catcher, but you can not with the elevator from the hotel. Hotel very central with many restaurants. Room very nice, size with me wg upgrade not assessable for normal room.
Service:
Excellent frontdesk staff. They were very considerate and accommodating. They offered to look for a nice room before I was about to ask! That was unusually nice.
We asked to change the city view room to fish tank view. They did their best to find a good room without us having to move our luggages.
Hardware:
Fish tank is amazing! So beautiful. We felt like wanting to stay in our hotel room watching the fishes moving. Breakfast was good.
Location:
Excellent location. Center of Berlin without a doubt. Easy walk to many attractions.
I was a member of the heaven spa and always liked to go there. Great pool. Small, fine gym
Nice hotel very well placed beautiful central aquarium
The rooms looking out towards the cathedral have an amazing view. The hotel has good amenities, although the service is not ideal. The location is quite convenient.
Within what you expect from a hotel in this category, without disappointments or surprises, stay comfortable and pleasant.
Not good arrived today 3 degrers outside heating not working so given a single quilt we payed for a balcony view not happy at all
Very nice stay, lobby smells of fish for inexplicable reasons. Do not know why.
Very good hotel. Well located. Comfortable rooms, with WIFI, with safe deposit boxes. Breakfast more than plentiful. The attention and dedication of the staff is very good. Point to improve, the coordination of the cleaning staff, in the rooms.
It took them for ever to place an order. When they finally took the order, I had to wait for 20 minutes for a Coffee. On serving the waiter dropped the spoon with asking if I needed a new one... Ofcourse I did! I got a new one that he smashed on the table and said really brutally here! And why no cookie with my coffee? They really need some hospitality changes and more + trained staff. Not coming back here.
Great service and a fantastic ambiance. The aquarium elevator is a must-try!
I went to see the hall with the spectacular aquarium tank
A great place to stay on a business trip, professional and friendly service. recommend
I ordered 2 hot drinks at the bar downstairs, each 5.5, and I get the hot chocolate with water and not outrageous milk.
Internet z.T. not reliable, furniture a bit neglected (shower bracket broken, etc.), value for money not convincing, location top, concierge could be nicer, despite street very quiet (when the windows are closed).
Solid business hotel with a cool aquarium. Good location, helpful service. For the price a good value.
Nice place but they could not seem to get my room cool even after asking 3 times. They also could not seem to find any wash cloths. Breakfast was good but the drinks are a little pricey. I would investigate other options first.
Very nice hotel. Great aquarium, which you can watch at breakfast and in the evening in the bar Tasty breakfast. Good location for tourists. Aquarium belongs to the Sealife and has a lift from the Sealife in. But you can also see it from the hotel lifts - for free - if you are a hotel guest. There is also a very nice spa with swimming pool and sauna.
Super nice and perfect atmosphere for guests and in terms of service is 100% quality.
Really great everything for jist and pit and aquarium
Very friendly, attentive staff and overall good service.
Very neat hotel only you pay more for the aquarium than for the hotel itself. Staff however very friendly and tidy.
As a conference hotel centrally located but hardly parking spaces
The hotel is very impressive, immaculately clean and modern. The most obvious feature is the huge aquarium in the centre, rising up from the bar and visible from inner facing rooms and from the glass lifts. There are all the features here that you'd expect from a high class hotel including spas, saunas and fitness area and two restaurants. The location is good, a convenient distance from the city centre but the traffic noise is minimal and you walk everywhere if you wish but there are all the public transportation options you could wish for. We found the large room to be ample for our needs, with a king size bed and lovely bathroom, room service with a great menu if needed and a TV and safe box. The staff are very polite, English fluent and helpful. If you want to take a closer look at the aquarium, you can get a lift up for a really good view and really take it in.
Great hotel, great location, great bar, great breakfast. Overall a great experience. And there's a fish tank in the lobby.
5 star Hotel should not have the service what we got. Internet was very slow & not working some time. One of The drinks bar staff Was very rude with us, we will not visit this hotel in future.
I'll highly recommend this hotel - For starters, the hotel has one of the most fascinating settings inside the lobby: a 25-metre tall cylinder-shaped aquarium. The room is your typical size room but has several details that made me think, "You go German engineering and efficiency!" For instance, they managed to put in lots of shelves, the trashcan in the bathroom tilts out from underneath, the light switches by the bed control all the lights in the room (I was delighted to not to have to get out of bed to turn off the light right by the entrance!) The room is of simple and clean design. There are no frilly decorations but everything feels elegant. The bed is very comfortable (almost to the quality of Westin's heavenly bed) but is on the harder (but still comfortable) side which was fine by me - I slept very well. The bedsheets are of high thread count and crispy clean. The whole room, the entire hotel is clean.
Perfect location: It is located right next the Berliner Dom and the museum island (Museumsinsel). There are several (though touristy) restaurants nearby. The nearest metro stations are within 10-minute walk.
One complaint #ProTip - when I purchased the ticket to go "inside" the AquaDom from the front desk, the man neglected to tell me that AquaDom is actually part of this indoor entertainment park called Sea Life Centre, it's about 2 blocks away from the hotel - you need to bring the voucher to the main entrance of the Sea Life Centre to exchange it into an actual ticket. You could go through the Sea Life Centre and see all the exhibits there, ending at the Aqua Dom which is in the next building (aka the building where the hotel is at) or you could take the ticket and walk back to the Aqua Dom entrance. There was a wait about 30 minutes to get into the AquaDom - which I did twice due to the front desk's failure to inform me of this "minor detail".
Great central location, well-equipped and clean rooms.
Hotel is good, clean and complies with the information. Unfortunately you have to call beforehand to load in the electric parking lot. Without a call, the only parking space is blocked by "non-electric vehicles". Presumably, because this car park was signposted only with "P women". The charging station next to it is not recognized.
Beautiful setting, do not miss the space with the aquarium. Nice lunch at a very good price. Note the toilets where you have a soft hand cream and delicately scented, the top!
Only applies to the bar in the lobby area: to forget. after 40 minutes the order was taken. after another 35 minutes we went, since our coffee was still not there. the fish in the aquarium were nice, we had enough time.
Hope the hotel is better.
A very well-kept atmosphere with very friendly staff.
Great hotel..... Go for the rooms with the aquarium view
It's a beautiful hotel. It is very centrally located, so that you are well connected to all public transport. From here you can even explore many sights on foot. Very nice staff who tried very hard to make you feel comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The coffee tastes fantastic. It won't be our last visit here.
Good hotel, as expected from a 4 star hotel.
The rooms correspond to the
Default. Highlight is the aquarium.
Breakfast also adequate but also only 4 star standard.
An impudence I found the prices at the hotel bar. I had a whiskey sour for 13 euros. The whole thing was 1-2 sips. The glass was filled with a 4x4cm ice cube so it was just the edge and a thin layer above as a drink. Photo attached!
Definitely book a room with a view of the grandiose giant aquarium
