Garbage. You get almost nothing at this hotel. There is Wifi in the lobby, but in the room you get 20 minutes for free, then it's 7 pounds to keep it on for 24 hours. Absolutely ridiculous. Breakfast is 10 pounds per person. I asked them for a power converter from English to American and that costs 5 pounds. The hot tub isn't free. 4 pounds per person. This place is a rip off. I usually stay in Hilton or Marriott and I thought I would give this place a chance. Deeply regretting it and I've only been here for 4 hours. I am pissed enough to the point where I am using part of my 20 minutes of wifi to write this review. Never coming back. Rooms are sub par, hallways look old and dirty. The signs for directions to get to the rooms are pieces of paper taped to the wall. Don't use this hotel.

Staff unhelpful with booking, my hotel voucher said I had booked for 2 nights the computer system said 1. Staff acted as if I was trying to get a free night stay. Had to explain the situation to 4 different staff before one said it was More

The room was nice and clean. If you go first time the long running corridors with the ancient miniature warriors give you a spooky feeling. On the negative side the service is tardy. You might end up without room service one of the days. Plus they take a long time to respond. 4 stars are for the hotel and it's location

This hotel would have been good in its day, I would say late 80's, however it appears not to have been updated since, rooms or communal areas. Convenient for Canary Wharf, relatively cheap and some friendly staff, nevertheless, very tired, lacking basics (free wi-fi & daft things like a lack of plug sockets for example), not a good experience I'm afraid.

Very beautiful lobby and public spaces. Room itself was a little more archaic, older furnishings and stuffy AC. Small but long beds smushed together. Marks on floor from guests of years past! Hotel breakfast is ample and has plenty of variety! Staff was also seemingly very nice (few interactions). Other big downside was the Wifi policy. 20 minutes free twice a day or huge fees to buy a daily voucher. WiFi in lobby but still very frustrating. I realize this might be a common policy when staying abroad but it is frustrating nonetheless. Great staff, great location. Water and bathroom are fine. Cheaper rooms a little rickety and WiFi situation uncomfortable. Would recommend with those small caveats.

Looks fancy on the outside but did not live up to it. The buffet dinner was terrible, definetly not worth the price. Breakfast was okay.
The place definetly needs an update. The bedside lamps in our room were broken, there were too few plugs to charge devices on, and the beds had certainly seen better days.

Book in process took too long, had to wait about 20 mins in a queue. Lifts could only take 5 people even though it said they should be able to take 10 people, and they were very slow. Food was good. Staff were friendly. Hotel was a bit shabby in places but comfortable.

Good location in canary wharf decor is a bit dated the 20 minute room wifi i thought was a negative aspect but the staff seemed professional.Breakfast was standard fare and a plus point is it was amongst the cheapest room rate for the area.

Discusting room, the furniture and decor is older than my grandmother. The bed sheets are smelly and seems like they were changed once every two years. Please book in ibis its 10 times better for similar price.

Nice location. Really good customer service. Spacious rooms which were bigger than most double bedroom rooms in london for a 3 star or under. Free wifi only for 20min/day which smashed all the positives.

Very disappointed with this hotel. Everything was worn out: Bed, carpets, lifts, coffee machine. The breakfast was the worst hotel breakfast I have had in the uk for years, and also the worst laid out!

This hotel is in a brilliant location within Canary Wharf and about a 10-15 minute walk to the tube station and shopping mall. They are really helpful and as soon as I had an issue they would get it sorted as soon as they possibly could. The negative is the building itself, although pretty and has some old school charm, the place is knackered. The lift has issues and the rooms aren't as modern as I'd personally like on a business trip to London. However for the price, location and friendliness of staff on my visit I'd put it as ok. I'd like to rate it higher but I feel I have to put 3 star unless they can modernize the building a bit.

Good hotel with good rooms! if you feel comfortable in old style rooms - it's your choice. DLR 5 minutes walk, underground station 6 minute walk, Canary Wharf and Canada water by the hand.
Wifi limited 20 minutes in the rooms until you have a voucher but me didn't need internet.
Also there's a construction sites around - that makes windows dirty(there is no sound goes inside room) but hotel can do nothing with that, views was still good.
You can enjoy your stay!

I suppose this hotel was really 10 years ago! Old school design and 70's atmosphere. Sounds nice right? BUT NO!!!
Free wifi in the room for 20 F***ing minutes... (Reminder: NO ROAMING ANYMORE in EUROPE, I think they missed that part) You definitely can go to the lobby it's free BUT needs to reconnect EVERY f***ing 30 min (Try to have a 2 hours call here...)
Elevator, try to go to the 7th floor with the left elevator... Not possible...
Reception service not understanding the requirements. (Sorry I'm a PM)
It's the second time I'm here, and I really disappointed...
Why 2 stars? The bartender in the Lobby is Awesome!! I take my Guinness now!!!

Someone had cum all over my bed and it looked like from both female and Male clear my room was not even touched by cleaners from the night before other to straightening the sheets. The place is dirty and it stinks there are sex crazy couples everywhere and you can hear this and it s not nice if you have kids and cameras watching you everywhere it s just bad

Treat their customers awful. My bathroom sink was completely blocked up. Said there was nothing they can do until the next day or I can expect someone at some point in the day to come in. When you've paid for a room to do work in and catch up on sleep from travelling you shouldn't have to sit around waiting for a maintenance man to come in "at some point". Said there were no options to change rooms or upgrade yet the couple next to me checking in were offered an upgraded room which they refused. Meaning there were other rooms available but refused to me as an option. Even showed rooms available online.
On top of the awful service the walls are paper thin, no air conditioning so the rooms are boiling hot and you'll hear house keeping slamming doors from 7:30/8am and they stayed talking loudly outside until 3pm. So if you're jet lagged and wanting to rest up, it sucks.
Needs completely updating, everything is ripped or broken (the whole building is falling apart) and you have to pay for internet on top of everything. Wouldn't stay here by choice.
They also have cocktail menus but non of the bar staff can make any cocktails so you'll be told you can only order beer or wine. This place could be so good if they raised their standards.
Eventually after complaining a lot at reception the maintenance man came up to my room, but it was like pulling teeth just to get the most basic customer service.
Its ok if you don't mind paying money for a low quality stay.
The maintenance man was very lovely though.

Dated decor. No hot water. Got told to wait for half an hour when we tried to check in because "the system was down". No manager available when I tried to make a complaint so been given an email address instead. Poor. Breakfast made up for it, unlimited fry up was nice but the coffee was terrible.

A very nice hotel with fabulous staff from across the planet speaking many languages. I highly recommend this hotel to all wanting a relatively low cost hotel near canary wharf. The DLR can be heard from some rooms.

The rooms do what a room should do. Double bed is small and mattress is thin. We stayed on the 10th floor and had to wait 10-15 minutes for the lift everytime we wanted to leave. Absolute joke. 3 lifts the size of wardrobes for a hotel with 12 floors is ridiculous. And no stairs. Waited in a huge line to check in also, the process of checking in took far too long and with only 2 people serving customers the line backed up all through the lobby. Not worth the price the charge I'm sure there are other places nearby that offer a better service. Wont be staying here again.

The staff at the reception are beyond rude! There was a male receptionist out front, an asian guy (short chubby one) who was extremely aggressive towards us when we came with a problem. We wanted an upgrade for a king size bed, we paid for it and they moved us in a room that had a a normal double bed. When we asked why he literally would not let us speak, didn't apologise for the mistake and told us basically to go away if we were not happy! I've never been treated this way in any hotel, let alone one that claims to be a 4 star one!
The rooms were old and smelly, we asked for a smoking room, and apparently they all come with no windows!!!
I would never set foot here again! Terrible place!

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Tiny room in the basement, loud noise from ventilation, poor customer service, bad breakfast and my room door wouldn't shut, no WiFi, no cell reception and no phone in room.

Place is old fashioned and very tired. The furniture including our bed in our room seemed like it had been there since the hotel had opened. Our room also had a bit of a musty smell about it. Was very disappointed given the location and price of the hotel I just assumed it would be decent. Could have stayed in a travelodge and got similar standards if not better.

Possibly the worst hotel I've ever visited. Cold, dank room, ceiling tiles missing in the hallways, just didn't feel like anyone in the hotel cared for it's appearance.. Reception area reminded me of something out of the Adams Family movies or the Munsters. While it's not sold as a plush hotel, I've seen far better from similar priced hotels, by a long shot.

No respect for their neighbours.

No respect for their neighbours.
I live next to the hotel and due to several works in the area, I have to walk in front of this hotel every day. During the week, between 8 am and 9.30 am tourism buses are closing the sidewalk, which obligates all pedestrians (including senior citizens to walk down the road since we have no other option!). Today, I went to the reception and the concierge told me that they have nothing to do with this, and I could try to find another way to solve the problem. I am pissed off with this situation and therefore I am using the social media to seek for the management interference.

If I could give this Hotel no stars I would. Staying here for 2 nights for a work trip. I now think my place of work do not like me. The entrance is the only place that is relatively ok. Bed is like sleeping on chains, rooms smell of mould and very musky, everywhere needs a good clean and updated. Lifts that have the floor number display ripped out and everywhere you go, you are reminded that the staff do not tolerate bad behaviour. If you have to remind your guests to have manners then this gives an indication of the type of Hotel this is. Stay away and pay a little extra for a better, safer and more pleasant night sleep.

I've stayed here a few times now as it's just a short walk from the work office. The reception and bar areas are quite nice. The rooms are a bit of a mixed bag, I've had three different styled ones ranging from a tiny twin room to a great big twin room with stairs in it. Seems to be pot luck which one you get. Comfortable enough beds, though they seem rather narrow. I always find the rooms too hot but they do have ac which cools it a bit

Had to stay there twice. First time got a filthy room. Second time got a windowless room with a VERY loud fan (think aircraft in flight) that could not be turned off. Staff was very unhelpful and indifferent. Free WiFi was a lie.

The most horrible hotel have ever stayed. Staffs very unprofessional, rude and burned out. The beds are terrible, cleaning is very nasty. Will never revisit this hotel even if it s the only one available.
