Jimmie and Caleb were the very definition of professional throughout the whole project. Our water heater in the attic leaked badly and Jimmie s team was onsite that same day just a few hours later to begin cleaning up the damage, which was extensive. Jimmie was so helpful and talked me through everything so that I could understand the process and what repairs would be needed subsequently. Jimmie was flexible and communicative. It was horrible to have so much damage to the house, but Jimmie made it bearable by being so kind and professional throughout the process. Very shady experience. I had an emergency & paid for an estimate, I guess they thought I was hostage & would be willing to pay for anything. The quote was VERY high, they would not tell me if it was emergency hour rates or if other options were available. They would not provide the information I asked for on parts (such as brand name). They would not discuss what parts were included in the package. They did not offer any options or additional packages.They did not offer a price on restoring water to the house while I decided. They showed back up without calling to confirm I was moving forward & tried to pressure me with the emergency fee. The other companies I had provide estimates were much more transparent & trustworthy, I do not plan to have a Progressive Service Company representative in my house again.

Progressive sent a nice and professional gentleman to my house to repair a leaking gas water heater that I though would have to be replaced. Upon inspection he found the problem and repaired it.The price was reasonable around 350.00 dollars. To replace this water heater he said would have been about 2500.00 dollars. I can't say enough good things about our experience with Progressive. Our A.C. went out during the hottest week of the summer. The company was quick to respond and our project manager Joe was extremely helpful. He took the time to explain our options and stayed until 9 PM trying to get enough coolant to hold us over until the new system could be installed (at no charge). The crew came a day earlier than promised and they finished quickly, leaving no mess behind. We've dealt with many contractors the last few months as we've updated our aging home and Progressive's customer service was far superior to any other company.

I have low water pressure in part of my house as well as low water heat. I hired Progressive to help assess the situation and help me come up with a solution. They came to my house checked an outside spigot and looked at my water heater. Told me everything was fine and suggested I google what is wrong in the other part of the house. For this I had to pay $120. I would never call this company for anything ever again.
Jeremiah dropped by in the afternoon to help with a pipe issue we were having. He was polite and speedy with his work, and gave helpful recommendations for maintenance. On top of that, he was able to fix a pipe issue that other technicians had not. I will definitely ask for his help again in the future.
I received a water bill that was double the previous month. Upon doing so I reached out to the city and they advised that the meter was showing a continuous leak.
Afterwards I called Progressive Service Insurance to take a look at my issue. The plumber arrived and checked my fixtures for any leaks. While checking the water meter to see if it was still running (it was). Once this was checked he turned my water off in my home and was again checked the meter to see if it was running (it was).

Within 5 minutes of arriving to my home Leak Locators found the issue. The city had not attached my new meter properly and it was leaking RIGHT AT THE METER.
Afterwards I called Progressive to talk about the recommendations that they had made and how the plumber could have missed this (see the video its obvious). They advised the manager was not in but she would call me back.
She didn't and now we are.... Try another company because this one should refund my inspection fee but doesn't seem to care.

The problem is the office staff, they are extremely difficult and bad at communicating. One time I hung up and did the work myself.
While driving on the highway yesterday, in the rain, one of your service vehicles that was behind me in traffic decided to use a merging lane as their own personal passing lane, swerve in front of me causing me to slam on my breaks, and get literally no where in the process. Here's the thing, if they are going to have such little regard for my safety while driving, I don't want them in my home or business. How are they going to treat me then? The truck was numbered, which I have. We were in traffic. They weren't going to get any where with their idiotic stunt to pass ONE car.

Just put in a call for service on my long term warranty on a Lenox system that progressive installed 6 years ago. Still under warranty for 10 years on labor and parts that I paid for. They will not come out until Monday a normal working day. When I bought the warranty I was told total coverage 24/7. Guess when new staff comes on board the rules change. Will post a longer version once my 10 years are up.

After a rather unfortunate experience with another company, let's call them "Seven and Repair", I called Progressive and I spoke with a representative on the phone who was helpful and polite. Someone was scheduled to assess my system the following business day. Darryl arrived promptly and was appropriately communicative throughout the assessment. He collected the necessary information about my systems and emailed me two detailed proposals a few hours later, and he addressed any of my follow-up questions quickly and thoroughly. Most importantly, I never felt pressured to make a decision; Darryl gave me the info and then gave me the time to think it over. When I was ready, he got me on the schedule for a few days later. Mitch and John were the installation technicians. They were very respectful of my property, worked quickly, and they cleaned up thoroughly when the job was done. After, I could not tell anyone had been there, aside, of course, from my shiny and quiet new A/C system, and one that can actually heat and cool my home efficiently.

The scheduler at Progressive called me within ten minutes of my call to Home Depot. Jonathan Burke arrived within three hours. He called me first and stated he would be here in twenty minutes and he was. Jonathan was very knowledgeable. I told him the way I would install it and he explained why he would do it different. At that point I left it all to him. My house was not to code and he told me what was needed to be up to code. He offered to install out of code but I would need to sign away my warranty giving me the option of saving money. Of course, I told him to bring it to code and he quoted me the price. He helped me order the parts I needed from Home Depot. One part wasn't available and he gave me options there. His company was out of the mounting blocks so he went to a stone company a bought one so he could install it same day. He ran around getting the parts needed and worked until 8:30 pm installing it so I would have hot water that night. He took pictures of the installation so I wouldn't have to crawl down into the muddy crawlspace. His installation was great. I worked HVAC in my younger days and I was impressed with the quality of his workmanship. He hauled away all the trash and the old unit. He kept my porch and dining area he was in very clean wearing booties or taking off his shoes every time he had to come to the door or in the house. The price I paid was what he quoted and very reasonable. I would not hesitate to call on him again for all my HVAC needs. I know they do other stuff but I'm not certain what else they do. Do yourself a favor and call Progressive. And if you are in Western NC ask for Jonathan, you will not be disappointed!!!
They repaired my gas pack heating system. I had a cracked igniter which kept the heater from ignititing and heating the house - it was very cold. Alexander even drove all the way across town to get the only available igniter in the area that fit my system. Greatly appreciated!
The Technician Larry saved my family and I a lot of money by realizing that our garbage disposal was not previously installed correctly. Afterwards he cleaned off the garbage disposal and made it look brand new again. 10/10 service and experience!

I have not had a worse experience with a company ever. On 3 separate occasions, we have taken off work only for their clerical errors to make it so they cannot install our dishwasher. I have spent more than 2 hours on the phone with them. To have used nearly a huge percentage of my time off to not have a dishwasher delivered and installed is unacceptable. If Lowes sends you here, please request a different company!
Cody was set to come a day scheduled to install a kitchen faucet . I also had a kitchen counter top installed the same day & was told I needed to wait 24 hrs before the faucet could be Installed. Cody had no problem rescheduling for the next day. He called me the next morning to let me know he was on his way. He did a great job installing the faucet and education me what I needed to do for maintenance. Nice guy. Great job!
It is challenging to find reliable sub-contractors, particularly plumbers, in my vicinity. I was directed to this provider by Home Depot and am very happy. Amanda works in Progressive's scheduling center (in Raleigh). She was very good but her colleagues were at the opposite end of the spectrum. Progressive farms out work to a local crew that, from the client perspective, operates independently. Step in Cody & Frank. I interviewed them while they bid on my job. It became clear that they are very knowledgeable, experienced, and well prepared. The price was very reasonable. When the date for the work came around they arrived on time, set to work immediately, and did everything in the manner that had been agreed. Not surprisingly there was an unexpected development once they got into the wall but this was quickly resolved. I arranged to do prep and finish work in the laundry room where the plumbing was being revised. They left everything in proper order for my part of the work to be completed overnight. It s been a few months and I have had not problems. I recommend Progressive Service on the condition that it is Cody & Frank who come to do the work; there s no knowing what might be the result if someone else were to come.

The office staff was very helpful and got install set up in a reasonable amount of time. Install was done well as far as I can tell. The reason I did not give it 5 stars is because Communication was poor. I was told they would call us once the appliance was delivered to set up install, but I did not receive that call. additionally, we needed to install in the oven in a property that was vacant and was on the the market. I was told that we had a 2 hour window of the install possibly starting but they would call us 30 min before the install. Neither my husband nor I received a call. At the end of the window time I called the office. I was told that the team was at the property installing the appliance, which they were not. I pushed for them to call the install team to which they then said the team called us but must have had a wrong number? But they had 2 numbers, surely one of them was correct? In their defense they called the team back and they were at the property about 45min-1hr after I called. But had I not called we would have had to reschedule our install and this was a very time sensitive need as we were trying to sell our house.

Chad arrived promptly between 8-8:30am and afternoon thoroughly explaining the steps to resolve the issue, he finally found a toy ketchup bottle deep in the pipes. If you have to have someone tell you your kid flushed a toy, I would recommend it be progressive service co. We will absolutely be using this company on the future... but not for flushed toys.

While he was here noticed an electrical issue I was having which prevented him from testing the dishwasher. He called his office and was able to kept me kniw what I could do to have one of their electrians come out. I called the office and this was set up for the next day in just a few minutes. They called me 30 minutes before arriving which was also very helpful. Today David came to my house, he quickly looked at the problem fixed it and now everything works. I cannot say enough about how Professional and personal at the same time these two young men were that I had the pleasure of meeting. We had a major issue with our electrical power. Brian showed up first and early. He brought in Clint who was his manager to further investigate the cause of the issue. Quote came in, they began the work later that day and it took about 3 days to replace all the equipment. Inspection was approved, and now our issue is completely resolved. I'll be calling them again for this type of work if it ever happens again.

We bought our new hot water heater from Lowe s Home Improvement and they subcontracted Progressive Service Company to install it. It took a week of calling to get an installation appointment set up. It was originally scheduled for a Tuesday at 1pm. When they had not shown up at 4pm, we called and were told they did not have the correct parts and would be here in the next hour and a half. They never came. We were rescheduled for Wednesday between 1-2pm, they had not shown up at 3pm and gave the same excuse. They finally showed up at 4pm, installed the hot water heater and then left our exterior basement door wide open. I don t think we will be using Progressive Service Company directly for service or Lowe s for home improvement needs again.
