Made an appointment for 100k miles service and to get factory recall fixed. They said it would take the full day. I dropped off my car in the morning. I got a call mid day, they found something else to fix for $$$ so I agreed. When I came that evening to pick up my car the service I originally requested and the factory recall safety service wasn t done and I was told you re good to go when I explained I needed the rest of the service done for the 100k and the factory safety recall airbag inflators serviced. I was give an apology and told the airbag service would be free, of course it s free, it s factory recall! I had to leave my car for another day. After dealing with 4 different service representatives, 3 trips deep into Poway and spending 30% more than originally quoted, the service I originally asked for was completed.

I think the most frustrating part is they called me and charged me for more work to get done, without even bothering completing the work I asked for.

No consistency. No accountability. My research shows I was over charged. Wasted my whole weekend going back and forth to the dealership.

Absolutely the worst customer service I have experienced in my life. If you expect customer service after they make their money off of you, you better rethink your choice. The people here are untimely, irresponsible, unprofessional, and extremely mediocre. If have grudges with anyone, refer them here, you'll definitely get your revenge.

So I come in to Poway Honda as a first time custom...

So I come in to Poway Honda as a first time customer to have my car serviced. I have a 2013 Honda Civic. I come in for a B12 service which is cabin filter air filter and oil change. I also had a wheel alignment service due to recently purchasing new tires. The service advisor by the name of Alvaro Rodriguez claimed that I had mice running around in my engine at some point. I live in the city. I don t live in an area where mice are a problem inside engines like for those people who live in a more rural area. After I have my car serviced Alvaro Rodriguez comes back with a quote. $153.88 for a brake fluid exchange. $254.80 for a transmission fluid drain and refill as well as $139.95 for a fuel induction service. That s $548.63 extra service. I have just over 76,000 miles on my vehicle and have been flawless with the maintenance on my vehicle. Little did Alvaro Rodriguez know. I used to work at a Honda Dealership on the service side just like him. So needless to say I know the inns and outs. The funny thing is I just recently had my transmission fluid serviced which means I knew he was trying to double cross me. And when I looked closely at the quote he gave me for the $254.80 in regards to the transmission fluid drain and refill service I noticed something interesting. The quote was for a pilot 9 speed bringing the service price up around $160 or more. Double cross 1. The mice comment. Double cross 2. The fact that my transmission fluid was fine. Double cross 3. Jumping the price up approximately $160. Double cross 4. Telling me I absolutely needed to have my brake fluid serviced and if I was unwilling I would need to sign a waiver in order to drive my vehicle. Double cross 5. Telling me I needed a fuel induction service. What a liar and all kinds of other dirty rotten names. So I took my vehicle immediately over to the old Honda dealership where I used to work. And guess what. They confirmed that Alvaro Rodriguez was a complete liar and that I did not need to spend $548.63. So my intuition was right. I was doublecrossed in multiple ways by this Poway Honda Dealership. Be aware and weary. Whatever you do, do not come to this dealership for anything and especially to have your car serviced. I am a middle-aged male. Imagine how much this automobile service center would be willing to lie to the elderly. Poway Honda. You have lost all of my respect and you have completely dishonored me with your absolute utter dishonesty.

Updated: I love this place. They take good care of their customers. They treat you way better then the escondido honda ever did. I had the worst experience when trying to buy a car at the Escondido honda.... So i went somewhere else to buy my honda. They tried to get me to go to escondido location for a service. I won't go, so i travel to poway. .im faithful to poway honda. Everyone is so great! It was a absoulty pleasant experience, today, and all other times. Marcos is helpful, so smart, and funny. Love the team.

Brian was fantastic!! I wanted to purchase a 2017 CR-V EX L, my color was Modern Steel. We saw that Honda Poway had two in stock, we headed out to buy it! We arrived and met Brian, I told him I was looking for and as we searched the lot there were none left the last one had been sold earlier in the morning Brian did some research and saw they had one coming in route and would be arriving in a week. He told me he waod call me as soon as it arrived. He called a few days later and said it here, my husband and I headed down to pick it up!! Brian had everything ready as he had promised, he wakes me through how everything worked on the car. He made some great suggestions and linked my phone for me. Easiest car purchase ever!! Brian said if I had any questions to give him a call, but that he would call me in a couple of days to see how things were going and two days later Brian called to make sure I was still excited about my car and see if I had any questions!!!!! Worked with Pourya to buy a 2018 CR-V. He was amazing and not sales-y at all, which made the buying experience realy nice! We test drove at other dealerships as well, and Pourya was by far the best at telling us exactly what we needed to know, not pressuring us in any way, extremely communicative via text over thge next few days, making everything easy, etc. Highly recommend working with him and Poway Honda!

Jon Callao of Poway Honda is as good as it gets. Having a PhD in chemistry I am always ask him to justify exactly why a certain repair will solve my cars issue. He always provides me with succinct and logical answers. Better yet he always fixes my car issue the first time around. I have worked with lots of Honda dealers and auto shops in the past and have found you can spend a lot of money replacing the wrong parts if you don't work with top notch mechanics. This is why I recommend Jon and his fantastic team at Poway Honda.

I have been here a few times when we need oil changes mostly since we don't need an appt, and each time feel like I am trying to be upsold for items. It hasn't been a great experience ever. It is hard to believe everything they say is needed and charges are always very high. After this past visit I called nearby auto mechanics with Honda's prices of the six items that they was time to replace, fix, or clean and prices were any where from $15-170 more to do the same task.

I ended up only getting the oil changed and was suppose to have a free courtesy car wash. They gave me my keys and I had to find my car in the lot by pushing the unlock button and wondering around. The car wash never happened either.

It took four tries to finally reach someone in the service department. He was very nice and gave me directions on what to do.

great people here. had a great time working with Tim on getting the best deal with no pressure or anything. The first day I asked about insight and when figured out they have sold all available ones, I requested a test drive on one of the Accords. Tim was so helpful and never put me under any pressure to sign contract, run my credit history or anything else. I asked a lot of question and he answered them all even though he knew I wasn't there to shop on the first day. After visiting a few other dealerships I ended up coming back to Tim and got the best deal.

I was searching for an updated, reliable car to last me for the next several years and I was helped by one of the most authentic, kindest salesmen at Poway Honda. Mickey is a top-notch salesman who worked in the car services department for many, many years. He is very attentive to what you are needing in a car and has the knowledge to back up what he is selling. As a woman entering a car dealership, there's always that worry that the salespeople might be condescending or may try to swindle you. Not once did I feel that working with Mickey. As for this Honda dealership, they should be grateful and realize their luck to have a team member like Mickey! I did not purchase a vehicle from this dealership, but if I know anyone who would be searching for a car, he would be the salesman I'd turn them to.

It took longer than expected to complete the service. I've been told by Honda service advisor the service would take no more than 2 hours to complete, but I have to wait more than 2.5 hours. That's too much waiting time.

They didn t try to up sale me on anything I didn t need or want and I appreciate that .
This is my second time leasing a vehicle from Honda of Poway .
If you need to buy or lease a Honda don t bother with other dealerships
I had contacted other Honda dealers in San Diego and they didn t come close to the deal I was offered by doc at Honda of Poway .

This is for the service department only. I had a great experience in the sales department when I leased my 2020 civic. I leased two cars from this dealership.
I brought my 2020 civic in only a month after i got it from Poway Honda because it is having multiple issues.
The car had rusted parts on the front suspension (see photos).
One of the hubcaps is making noise when the wheel is moving.
There was clunking noise coming from the front suspension when going over bumps.
After multiple visits to the service department they said that I have to contact Honda if I want the issues resolved and there is nothing the can do except get me a new hubcaps.
So they finally called me to tell me my hubcaps are in and I come by to have them put on.
I come to the service department and Marco the service advisor said that it would be an hour and a half to two hours to put the hubcaps on
Really??? To put hubcaps on???
He said yeah what did you expect??
I expect Honda to stand behind there products
I expect some level of customer service
I spend my hard earned money on a brand new vehicle so I don't deal with issues
I asked if I can take them and put them on myself and he said no
It takes a total of 2 minutes to put hubcaps on why do I need to sit there for 2 hours??

Congratulations poway honda you just lost a loyal customer for ever

I will never buy or lease a Honda again.

Super helpful and very professional. Had a problem with the battery at the end of one day, contacted Poway Honda, spoke with Marco and was able to get an appointment for the next morning. Jerald Camacho recognized my wife when she brought the car in for service, coming out to meet her and take care of the problem. Poway Honda service tested the battery, found that it was faulty and that the rest of the cars charging and electrical system was ok. Replaced battery under warranty and provided new warranty for the new battery. Absolutely outstanding service. My wife has been extremely happy with all maintenance and service from Poway Honda since Jerald Camacho has been her service manager. Great job Poway Honda.

We purchased a new Honda Civic 2018 for my daughte...

We purchased a new Honda Civic 2018 for my daughter a couple weeks ago. And I am so happy that we chose POWAY HONDA.
Most importantly, I like their sales approach, as they are not too aggressive like many other dealers.
I had started looking for car through TrueCar website, and the dealerships who contact me via email and phone, were too persistent in a much annoying way.
Then, I checked the Poway Honda website and saved a car to get price alert.
Next day I got ONE email from Pouria at their internet sales department, with a considerably awesome price for the car. And a couple days later I got ONE phone call from Pouria, giving me some more details about the pricing. Later on, I got another email to let me know the car I saved is no longer available.
And that was it. They never bothered me again.
Until a couple weeks later we decided to go to the dealership and check their inventory. Pouria was not available, but his coworker Niki was there to help us. And she is an amazing sales person, very friendly and professional. I like her honest opinions about everything. Niki didn t put any pressure at us to make the purchase or to upgrade for unwanted features. And most importantly, she was able to talk to their manager and honor the same price Pouria gave us for the original car.
Niki was so patience with my daughter to test drive several cars and show her all the details about cool features and apps on the touch screen. The car my daughter picked, was not parked in their lot and Niki had to get it from a different location. By the time everything was complete, it was almost 9:00 PM. And she even managed to decorate the car by putting a big blue ribbon for my daughter to get pictures with her new car.
This was my second experience with them, as I had purchased a new Civic 2007 from Poway Honda, 9 years ago.
And I am sure, next time I need a Honda, I would go to them again.
Thank you Poway Honda, for awesome deals and excellent customer service.

They also cleaned my seats under protection plan and provided a small rental car for a couple days at no charge.

Awesome experience. Went in grumpy, not wanted to buy a new car (old car totaled when someone ran a red light & hit me). Raj was wonderful. He LISTENED to what I wanted, explained my options and the differences in the cars. He explained the differences in each "level" of car and didn't pressure me when I said "I just need the basics." The other staff were friendly, too. It was wonderful. I highly recommend them!!

Our sales rep, Mickey Perez, was excellent in all respects. He warmly greeted us when we arrived. I already knew that I wanted a new Honda CRV. Mickey is very knowledgeable of the features and controls of the cars he sells. He helped us decide which trim level would meet our needs, saving us hundreds of dollars. Mickey called several other Honda dealers to find the CRV in the color and trim level we wanted. There were no surprises in the entire process. Delivery and preparation of the car was actually quicker than he anticipated. When we picked up the car, he spent several hours helping us understand the many controls and digital displays. This new Honda is not my 16 year old Toyota...it's much better... but there is a learning curve.

Mikey's warmth and kindness are genuine and made the car buying experience great for me for the first time in my 75 years.

Stopped by to look at used cars and there was nobody to talk to. Crazy huh? I hate being bothered by sales people when browsing the lot. As we were backing out of the lot a guy ran up to the car and asked if we has been helped. I said no, and we didn't find anything anyway. If dealers make more off used cars then why was there nobody breathing down your back? DON'T KNOW, DONT CARE! BUY AMERICAN!

Update: (6/8/2020) Still 5 stars. I called around 1pm today and the person on the phone had the most pleasant voice. I forgot the name but if my appointment confirmation email is correct, then Sheryal was the one I was speaking with. I called around 1pm and they were able to squeeze me in at 1:40pm.

I feel like I've worked with everyone there? Sorry if I havent mentioned you in any of my reviews on here or Yelp. This time I worked with Marco. He was on top of everything. He made sure I had all of my questions answered and gave me a rundown of everything so I wouldnt be surprised by any charges at the end. I always wait at the dealership and all of the chairs were 6ft apart due to covid. All of the employees were wearing masks and respected everyones space. As always 5/5. Ya'll already knew that from me but just wanted to give Marco a shout out.

I've worked with Christian and Chuck when getting my Honda serviced. Poway Honda breaks down everything they're going to do to your car so it's simple to understand and there are no surprises when you get the final cost. They both check in to give you status updates if you're staying in the waiting room which makes you feel appreciated. Waiting time can take forever so try to bring something to work on or have someone pick you up in the mean time. It may be long but I'd rather have them take their sweet time working on my car than rushing through it. Highly recommend Chriatian and Chuck. Those are the only two I've worked with so far but I'm sure everyone else is just as great.

I used their service department and was extremely pleased. They had to diagnose a problem with RPM surging. With no codes indicating the problem they stuck with it for 5+ hours and charged the amount that they quoted $134, cut blank key on my FOB for free and did a courtesy wash. I would highly recommend their service department and they will be my go to Honda dealership from now on, even though they are not the closest to where I live. Good job and much thanks, it was a pleasure doing business with them.

We test drove a new Honda Hr-v and found that is was perfect for us. Mickey got us the car we wanted at a reasonable price in very little time. It was the best car buying experience we've ever had.

Bought a used 2003 Mercedes E320 with 59,000 miles. Buying process went great and they even had a 30-day 1,000 mile warranty on vehicle. Problem is they service/sales/warranty department keep passing us around, fail to return calls. The Battery indicator on this car came on 3 days after we bought it and we are now at two weeks and they want us to pay $125.00 diagnostic fee to figure out the battery is going. Just horrible service and customer care. This was my third and now final car I will purchase from Poway Honda. This business used to be special, but not anymore, just another car dealer, they all seem to be the same, sell the car then its customer who?

He was patient & didnt mind going on FIVE different test rides with me over the course of three visits to the dealership. I appreciated that he wasnt pushy and also took me seriously as a female. Ive had very bad experiences in the past at other dealerships bc I was female, but Im happy to say that didnt happen here! When I came back with my husband to purchase the car together we were treated very well. Poway Honda has great service providers and you will be treated with respect. Our service tech Nyphon Vue was very professional and responded quickly and compassionately to our many questions. However, I am disappointed with the performance of our certified used 2014 Honda Odyssey that we purchased from Honda Escondido. To be clear, I'm not disappointed with Poway Honda or the employees there. My concern is that I have had numerous issues with our Honda in general to a point that I will be looking to trade our Honda for a more reliable vehicle. We purchased our 2019 Odyssey at Poway Honda in October 2018. Since that time, we've had four service appointments for our Odyssey at that dealership. Each time, we have found the service writers, technicians and cashiers to be friendly, efficient and highly professional. I had a fairly good experience here. I worked with Jeannie to buy my Honda Fit 2017. While the normal sales pitch with the expensive extras was pushed, I was able to negotiate without much problem to find a monthly payment that works for me. As usual, the process took a few hours (~2.5 ) from walking in to walking out, with a test drive and paper signing included.
