This review is over due, I took my car for service on 5/3/17 and Sevice Advisor Chuck Cruz did an outstanding job he is very polite , honest and professional . Well done Honda Poway for excellent customer service .

I have been going to Poway Honda for almost 10 years and everytime I have a good experience with their service department. Sometimes things happen but they will make up for it like my experience yesterday. The quote on the phone for a repair on my CRV and the final price did not match. Also I asked for inserts for the front windshield wipers and got something else. Today I got new OEM wipers and my money back for the difference of the repair quote. Chris was the service consultant inworked with. I will go back to Poway Honda for all of my service needs.

Buying a Honda Civic SI has been a pain the last couple of weeks. Been to 4 Honda Dealers and its been a difficult experience. Up selling, adding on endless fees to price that was promised, hidden fees, trying to shove a car that you don't want rather than the one you wanted down your throat.

It got so bad that at one point I was on my way to a non-Honda dealer in Temecula when I decided, last minute, to stop by Honda Poway since it was on my way and honestly, I didn't feel like driving to Temecula just to see a single Civic SI I had.

Now I've been emailing back and forth with Cortney Plaziak for a while now, she was so responsive and friendly, so I was pretty happy she was there when I stopped by on Sunday.

What a difference working with her was than other dealers. She was so straightforward and honest and spelled out every single detail of both buying and leasing and she explained it in a way anyone can understand. The whole process of looking at the car to walking out with the keys took less than 2 hours, and the majority of that time was waiting for them to detail and clean the car before handing it off to me, something they did as an extra service anyways.

I don't understand why other car salespeople can't be like Cortney. See my other review about the TERRIBLE Honda El Cajon "super" store. Its such a huge contrast, and I wonder why dealerships can't just hire straightforward and honest salespeople like Cortney rather than deceitful, condescending, pushy and aggressive ones. Most people that walk into a dealership have serious intentions to buy a car, so why not just honestly answer their questions and keep things simple and to the point?

At any rate, will definitely recommend friends to this dealership and specifically Cortney. I can't speak to other salesperson's there as I only worked with Cortney, but even the Finance department to finalize paper work was just as light hearted and friendly, so I really think the entire vibe of the dealership there is the same.

Yesterday we took our car in for an oil change. Our appointment was at 2:20PM and our car wasn t done with services until 6:20PM...... FOUR HOURS for a oil change and tire rotation??? We don t usually go to dealerships for services as they usually try to up sell services, but seeing as our mechanic didn t have any available appointments we were in a pinch. Upon checking in with our service rep, Chris Schwieters, he began to pressure us into services that we weren t interested in. He was pushy and rude and seemed to get upset when we said we weren t interested . When we showed him a 10% off coupon we had, he had attitude and was extremely rude about it. Honda, if you don t want to accept coupons and feel negative about them, why do you post them on your site and email them to prospective customers?? I have reached out to service management twice to discuss and have received no response. We have purchased all our vehicles from this dealership for the last 11 years so having such a horrible experience is really unfortunate.

Wow! Seriously amazing and so stress free. I called to inquire on a 2021 Honda Odyssey. I was told it was in stock and given a price for the vehicle. When I arrived the price discussed was the price given. There was no haggling. I know I got the best deal on my new minivan. The salesman Yul Blake was very kind and patient when we needed help setting up the features on the car. Ryan in finance streamlined the process and was able to close the deal very quickly. We will be back for all our Honda purchases, and we will be telling our friends and family what a wonderful experience we had. Thank you Poway Honda.

If i could give this place 0 stars, i would. not only did they charge me for a simple inspection , a cost for a starter was $1,000. I bought one for $250 including labor at a mechanic shop. brand new. every mechanic shop i went to gave me such a lower estimate for a brand new starter. unbelievable. not only that, every time i was transferred to my advisor, NO ONE would answer. straight to voicemail or hang up. the front desk lady told me she couldn t help me because she didn t want to leave her desk and go outside. what the hell. when the tow truck came to pick up my car, they didn t leave the key and CLOSED. the next day, the tow truck came THREE SEPARATE times, the first two times the dealership made them wait 30+ minutes early morning right when they opened and there were no other cars. when i kept calling, same thing. front desk lady said she hasn t been outside and won t go to check and that i needed to talk to my advisor. no one picked up. not even the other advisor i was transferred to. i am never ever coming here again.

The entire group of people working there was just amazing! I worked with Vince and Andre who were absolutely great. I drove over 2 hours to buy this car, and it was beyond worth it. They worked to get me the best deal, as well as the quickest service. I definitley recommend them!

My dealer, Michael Fein, was a really stand up, quality man. It's hard to convey real caring with the rep that care salesman can get (deserved or not). Michael did. He made things happen and really seemed to genuinely care that I enjoyed my choice, my vehicle, and my experience. We did shake hands at the end. We hugged.

All the paperwork is still arduous, but I felt MUCH less pressure than I have from previous experiences. They want to help sell like every business, but they aren't about telling you what fits for your life - at least from my experience.

I walked in feeling very nervous about getting into a lease and a carpayment again. I left knowing I made the right choice. All smiles here!

Its stressful buying a new car. Luckily Poway Honda made it made it painless as possible. My parents and I called in to make an appointment to test drive the new car and when we got there, the sales associate, Mickey Perez, was ready for us. Mickey was very helpful; answered all my questions with no hesitations. We went back the next day to purchase the car and got an amazing deal on it. Mickey was great at explaining the breakdown of the costs and what I was exactly paying for. He did not push anything I didn't want to purchase either. Great service and I would recommend any friend to Poway Honda if they're looking to purchase a new car.

Very upset with the way they do business.. Lies lies lies. The car buying process seemed to be smooth and everyone friendly, I had 4-5 people helping me. I specifically asked them not to shop my loan around, and what did they do? Shopped it around. I got 5 or 6 letters from banks denying my loan request through Poway Honda. Really NOT cool! Also, purchased the car in March 2013, and the woman helping me stated that the registration would need to be paid in November, and I wouldn't owe anything until then. I get my registration in the mail that states it has been paid through March 2014. How nice of them I thought, they paid it for me. NOPE. They send me a letter stating the $23 I paid to them in "estimated vehicle license fees" is different from the amount I actually owe to them for paying it, an additional $198, per security agreement I had signed with them. It would have been nice for them to be honest and tell me that the registration was up in march and I would be responsible for paying it now. Nope, they lied about shopping my loan around and lied about when registration would be due/ the amount. The lady I spoke with told me that the sales people don't know when the registration is up... I am like, you guys sell cars, that is your responsibility to know that kind of information. Get your act together people! Make sure you read everything, they do a great job of being sneaky. Beware!

We stopped bringing our car here a year ago because they milk us for unnecessary work. When we brought our car in because of the airbag recall they said we needed our transmission fluid changed. I told them we just had that done less than 3 months ago and when they rechecked they "apologized" and said the fluid look perfect. A year ago they said we needed our rear brakes done and when we took it took our "new" mechanic he said they looked fine (and we still haven't had to have them done). I don't trust this place.

Excellent service at Poway Honda. Service adviser is very knowledgeable and friendly to answer any questions. Service is done in a timely manner with great quality of work. Great facility with convenience and many amenities. 100% satisfied.

After some hesitancy of the price of an oil change here at the dealership, I ve realized that it s not that much different compared to other oil change stations. Perhaps, it s because I had a coupon and/or my Honda uses a specific type of oil. But, the service has frequent oil specials anyway. It s comfortable in the waiting room, and if a customer is bored, there are stores across the street to walk to :) service is quick and the employees are friendly.

Everyone was friendly and helpful. The whole process went smoothly and efficiently. My sales person Mickey Perez , was absolutely wonderful, patient, explained everything carefully and throughly. He was knowledgeable and brought me through the whole process without ever feeling pressured. Mickey has a great work ethic and his heart is in his job. He really cares about his clients and wants to do the best by them. I would always go back to him if needed. All other people I met along the way were very pleasant. I ve always liked doing car business at Poway Honda. Thanks to all, especially Mickey.

I went in looking to buy a used car during the weekend. But unfortunately couldn't find anything that would work for what I needed and could afford. But was introduced to Vince who helped me find a really good option for me at low monthly payments that would put me and my baby in a safe car. We also got help from Lynn who was so sweet in helping and making sure we were all set up. For someone who cant afford much with a baby on the way they got us the best deal they could so I wouldnt be stressing out on payments or having a car break down. A huge thank you! I went to get an oil change and fuel pump replacement, and everything went smoothly. The oil change costs more than one at a roadside shop, but the checkup they do as well makes it worth it. The person who helped me, Nyphon, even rotated my tires for free because he noticed the treads were wearing down. Very helpful, friendly people.

Arrived at 6:15 AM and was the third car for service. Had an appointment at 7:00 AM for change oil and fog light installation. Staff KEM attended to me at 7:08 AM and confirmed the service I was in for and gave me an ETA of 3-4 hours for the service booked. I was not expecting it to be that long but I patiently waited. At 11:20 AM I asked KEM the status my car and said "I don't know" (really?!). I asked him if he could give me an update for an ETA, he said it will take another 1 1/2 hour, and was not sure if the change oil was done. WOW! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I will not come back here anymore for future services. I gave one star because the service manager was nice. Poway Honda Service Center needs to improve their service staff and technicians! Terrible communication with each other! and the customer is the one who suffers!!!! Talk about the service staff and technicians arguing in front of the customer!!! Very professional... tsk tsk tsk...

When the buying process was complete he sat patiently with me to help me learn all the gadgets and buttons in my new car. I brought my pre owned car here. As all dealers are very difficult to deal they are too but I found them better then others (e.g Nebour s Ram Jeep Chrysler). Did not ran my credits to every Tom n Dick bank on earth. But at poway Honda I meet Brian from online department he is a veteran very nice guy. As long as you know what u want to buying they will help you finalize deal quickly. I brought a non honda pre owned car 2015 model that had an issues but they fixed it before delivery.

I came in for an oil change, Jon Callao took care of me. He greeted me quickly, explained the timeframe for the job, offered to wash my car and even checked to see if I had any coupons just in case! I came back at the time specified to find the service was done and my car was washed as promised. Jon's customer service was awesome.

This is my third GREAt experience with them.
Very friendly and always looking to help and save you money.
This last visit was very nice as they did a repair that was out of warranty, but so close to the end of warranty that they granted and did repair with no charge.
I ended paying less then original estimated.
Every time I go for service they try to help and give you the best!
I trust them and feel very confortable, I do have to drive out of my way but it is worth it the extra miles I drive. I think is the best for me and my car.

1st experience: very glad to have purchased the maintenance package when I leased my civic. Going in for maintenance has never been an issue and the staff at Poway Honda has always been kind.
Alvaro was a great service rep to work with.

2nd experience: completely terrible. They diagnosed the problem which was an A/C situation. They couldn t even log the repair part order for me. I had to complain on Twitter to get a corporate response from Honda and even that couldn t expedite my situation. All in all my a/c situation lasted 7 weeks. I got fed up and got rid of the Civic all together.

Had a great experience from start to finish. Houng my salesman new all the cars inside and out. No pressure. He really wanted me to be happy. Came in to look at one car and ended up leaving with a completely better car. He really took the time to find out what my needs were and narrowed down the search for me. PERFECT!!!!. Buyer Beware. This dealership will compromise you...

Buyer Beware. This dealership will compromise you to get a sale. This is a dealership who claims on their website "Each vehicle must first pass a very thorough inspection performed by one of our highly trained Honda auto service and repair technicians. If the vehicle doesn't pass, you won't see it for sale on our used car lot."

I inquired about a Lexus GX470 that requires timing belt replacement at 90K as well as several other regular maintenance items. I asked if the timing belt had been replaced. His first response was, "I have no idea. Why don't you come on down and check it out". Really? Really...

When I pushed him to find out, he claimed to be the only one there. At 11AM on a Saturday. Really? Really...

He finally obliged me and when he called back he said, "it hasn't been done and for the price we're asking, we're not going to". Ummmm.....

First of all: it is required by Lexus at 90K for a reason. It's an interference motor, which means that if the belt breaks, the valves hit the Pistons and it's a complete engine disaster. Translation: $$thousands$$.

Also, if the previous owner didn't do the most important thing on time, you can bet many other service items have not been done!

So my question to Poway Honda is this: HOW DID IT PASS???? Seems like the standard only applies if it suits you.

Buyer beware. There are plenty of similar GX 470s out there on the market for similar money that have had all services completed on time.

Not pushy, very informative, and treated us very well. Also Francisco in Finance was hilarious! Highly recommend coming here, great stock, great people. Thanks again Vince!

Honda of Poway perpetuates every negative aspect o...

Honda of Poway perpetuates every negative aspect of a shady car dealership.
They will purposely misrepresent the cost and "extra options" associated with the vehicle. Specifically, you need to avoid the after market 600$ car alarm system which is utterly useless and will make an annoying rattle at lower speeds.
Additionally the "ding" protective services is a huge waste of money and isn't covered at all Honda locations.
The finance department will treat you like royalty while you are purchasing the car but will be unhelpful (to say the least) after you have signed the contract.
So far there are no problems with the car itself, all of the problems have been with poway honda.
I would only get a car here if you get a great deal on a vehicle. Don't expect the staff to be entirely truthful or helpful once you have purchased a vehicle.

Great service department. Called for a service appointment in the morning and the work was completed by the afternoon. From the service operator to the service consultant, their attitude were very friendly and professional. I highly recommend the service department at Poway Honda.
