Saleswoman was amazing, however when I asked the finance manager specifically, in plain English, "will you do any hard pulls on my credit" he lied to my face and said no (I knew it would do at least one). The next day there were 5 inquiries.

Called me SIX TIMES in an hour while I'm at work. Very unprofessional, and making me have to pull my phone out of my pocket during meetings to make sure it isn't an emergency.

There are plenty of dealerships in Charlotte. I went to another and found a better vehicle, for less money, and a lower interest rate. Their finance manager didn't lie to my face either.

Was looking for a replacement to a totalled 2008 Saturn Vue. Wanted great mileage. A friend highly recommended the Cruze which gets 38 mpg. After going to my local dealer and not quite getting the purchase deal that I wanted, I called City and Sid told me that he'd beat my local dealers price by $500; the next morning I came in and bought the car at the price he promised. Great deal. Thanks for all your help.

Negotiated for a Chevy Bolt. They had one on the website as in transit. I called to ask if it would be in by Nov 30th and they said yes.

We came to terms and I put $1,000 down and stopped my negotiation with other dealers.

I was handed off to a half dozen different people apparently due to meetings and sickness and days off. They were *very* hard to reach.

On the day that I was to do the deal, I still lacked the written confirmation of the verbal agreement promised days before. After several hours of trying to reach someone in the know (the last day of the month, so you think they would be reachable), someone finally told me they would not have the car for several days or a week and they would honor our deal. Given the EV tax credit was going to disappear after what was to be a "sellers market" in December and needing to close the deal in November, I said no way. After more hassle on my part, I was able to get the deposit refunded (I was not worried about it as it was an easy-to-dispute credit card charge).

I suspect that they knew all along the car would not be there on Nov 30th and lied to keep a fish on the line. I asked for documentation that the car was originally scheduled for Nov 30th and I received no reply. If they update me with documentation that I can verify with their shipper, I will gladly update this review.

2 weeks ago I made a decision to get another vehicle. I am very happy with the service I received. The salesman Rafael Pena, was very professional and patient with me. He helped to make this process smooth. The Finance Manager Eric Duncan also assisted with making sure I could take advantage of the different service packages that will meet my need and budget.

Even the staff I didn't work directly with were friendly and inviting. Thank you guys.

My car buying experience at Hendrick City Chevy was the best I've ever had, hands down! I would recommend my salesman, Tyler Lynn, to anyone looking for no-BS, first class service. He and the finance manager, Anya (who was also amazing and super friendly), worked with me on getting the exact SUV I wanted at the exact price point I needed. They were transparent from the beginning on pricing and fees and answered all my questions quickly and with honesty. I would recommend City Chevy to anyone in the market for a new or used car and who appreciates integrity and an easygoing buying experience.

I visited Rick Hendrick Chevrolet for the first time in September 2018 at the time of Hurricane Florence. I had just arrived in the area from Columbus, OH and was introduced to Orlando Hall to be my sales
associate. I was super impressed by Orlando and can t say enough good things about him. He is very knowledgeable and has the integrity to keep the customers best interest in mind. Although I didn t make a purchase at that time, I returned now in April 2019 to seek ZOrlandos assistance once again I knew I could count on him to help me find the vehicle that would work the best for me at the price I could afford. He went above and beyond to to get a deal done for me and I am the proud owner of of a 2019 Chevy Spark. Orlando was able to make the impossible happen for me and I am forever grateful to him. Buyers BEWARE picked out a vehicle that was available for transfer. Completed paper work vehicle was promised next day no vehicle. Ok the day after, get a call from sales rep vehicle is not at the location it was sold but we found one that will work with your finance equation same payment nothing changes but the vin. Bs but ok. Well shows me the new vehicle actually a bit better than what was picked out orginal. Well come to find out that was the wrong vehicle yet again. Sales guy was good an patient but as the customer I felt his counterparts gave him the run around. Mistakes happen but as the customer sale the vehicle I have paper work on, then show the wrong vehicle. Emotional roller coaster

City made my car buying experience amazing! I wasn't looking forward to buying a new car because of the hassle that usually comes with it. I worked with Ian Garrison and he was SO helpful. I have a very busy work schedule and I wasn't sure when I would be able to come pick up my new car. Ian personally was able to deliver my car to my house after everything was signed so I didn't even have to worry about making multiple trips to the dealership. After visiting 5 other dealerships and conversing with 3 more over email and phone, I was satisfied with the offer at Hendrick's City Chevrolet. But then my planned Christmas gift for the wife got caught up and I was notified that arrival would be after the 25th. Deal breaker. But Michael M. and Scott worked hard to find other options before one was brought down from VA that was the exact spec as the original.

Problem was Tuesday, new ride in transit Thursday, and they had it ready for me to surprise my wife at noon on Friday.

Good people that put forth the effort. Thank you gentlemen.

After having a confrontation with one of the salesman bc he lost my drivers license and paperwork and then lied about it I went back up to the dealership to get the issue resolved. I was highly upset and irrate at the salesman who lied on me for no reason . I ended up talking to the manager his name was Mike. He was very sincere and listened to me vent the whole time. He even helped me get a newer car than what I had and with way lower payments even though I didnt have much to put down. I also got an extended warranty and gap coverage to go along( hope I don't need it)

He and Kenny Pritchett answered all my questions and concerns and I left there a happy customer. Mike I am very grateful for your compassion and understanding. You are phenomenal!! OH and he was also able to recover my drivers license and personally handed it to me!!(icing on the cake)

When its time to trade in I WILL BE BACK AND ITS ONLY BECAUSE OF MIKE!

The first time I came here in November my experience was A1 . I got in a wreck a couple wks ago the other party was at fault. Totaled my car. I came here again and was basically being bullied into getting a car I couldn't afford. I repeatedly told the salesperson and finance mgr (older white lady) that I couldn't afford it. After being there all day I was tired and wanted to reschedule for a day when I could bring more cash. Total waste of my time and noticed I was treated better the first round because I had money to put down. I will be going elsewhere. Very dissapointed.

Fantastic people there. Just bought my second car from there and can t say enough about the amazing team of people they have. Paul was my salesperson and he was awesome. Incredibly helpful, great communication and follow up, and very responsive. Disclaimer - I used to work for Hendrick Automotive Group, and my experience there as an employee is why I will always come back. Their focus on customer service and doing things the right way is second to none, and a lesson a lot of businesses could learn from.

Your service team is great. I have a problem with the sales tactics. Calling me to say you want to put me in a new truck and never follow through with the sale. Finance manager calls me to say he has assigned a sales person to work with me and they never called. I kept getting calls and emails from Customer Care for 2 weeks asking me if someone is working with me and I told them no each time. Customer Care apologized each time and finally asked me if I would work with someone else. After 2 weeks of games I was done with this dealership. I guess he made his numbers and kicked me to the curb. I don't like those games and I don't like that you wasted my time. More than likely I will do business with another dealership for my third Chevy truck.

He's been a friend of mine for years, whom I've gotten to know personally, and has never let me down when I've sent coworkers, family members, and friends to on several occasions to buy vehicles from him. Just taking the extra steps that he takes is the driver for his success. Garret has sold several vehicles in the referrals I've sent him, and I've always heard positive and great responses from everyone. Garret's desire to answer every question without hesitation, and going above to show / train customers on things has definitely created repeat customers and true relationships. UPDATE: After leaving this and the Yelp review, I personally spoke with Cam Stewart, the general manager of the dealership. He was understanding of the problem and led me to believe that he would look into working with me towards the purchase of a newer used vehicle. I explained how I'm not the richest person, and my limited but firm terms, and he was willing to find a vehicle on the wholesale market to satisfy my terms and desires. Immediately after speaking with him the first time, it was clear he had NO desire to work with me, and made zero attempts to work with me further. Just like every other time, I had to make the first contact by texting or calling him first. On a whim, I went to another local dealership, and they gave me a SMOKING deal on a used car, without me ever telling them about the City Chevrolet story. Get in touch with me if you want their contact information. City Chevrolet WILL disappoint you if you aren't there to plunk down $50,000 dollars or more. It's absurd that they don't try harder, because there are other, better Chevrolet dealerships within thirty minutes of these guys.

City Chevrolet fumbled my service appointments, broke my door handle due to negligence, then lost my car while it was on their service lot. I'll keep this brief, but you can head over to their Facebook page to read my in-depth reviews about what happened.

How can you like this dealership? Walk in with big money for a new car. How do you get a terrible experience? Literally anything else. If you go through all the social media reviews of this dealership, the people who left a good rating/review are the ones who walked in with $50,000 for a new truck, or $100,000 for a new Corvette. Anyone who came in for a cheap car or service probably got screwed over in some way, and at minimum left the lot feeling slimy. Don't take my word for it, check out all the Yelp reviews, Google reviews, Facebook reviews, etc.

This is a dealership where the people at the bottom are the nice people who care about the customers. Their management and sales staff, however, only cares about the money you bring. They genuinely do not care about customer service or experience unless you bring good car-buying money. Caveat emptor.

I communicated with the dealership via email about a particular vehicle listed on CarGurus. The dealership was very responsive to my inquiry and set me up with a sales associate. I made an appointment to see and test drive the vehicle. My wife and I drove nearly 2 hours to the dealership. I even emailed the sales associate with my ETA to the dealership. When we arrived we were told that our sales associate was helping another customer and they handed us off to someone else. After waiting appx. 15 min. they brought the vehicle up for us to test drive. I noticed immediately when I got into the vehicle that the check engine light was on. My wife test drove the vehicle and she noticed that the vehicle was missing when she accelerated. When we returned to the dealership, someone else came to talk with us. When I mentioned my concern about the issues with the mechanical function of the vehicle. He told me that the vehicle would be fixed before we drove the vehicle home. Assuming that we were going to purchase the vehicle. I asked him to have the vehicle checked out by a mechanic and then we'll talk after they figure out what was wrong with the vehicle. He agreed and asked that we check back in a couple of hours. My wife and I went to lunch and discussed the entire situation. And we both had a bad feeling about the vehicle and the poor service that we received at the dealership. We decided not to return to the dealership and I expressed our concerns when the sales associate called to say that the check engine light was off and it was either the gas cap not being tight or the sunroof wasn't closed completely. We will not return to this dealership. I have heard good things about other Hendrix dealerships on both Charleston and Atlanta. We're planning to give them a try to earn our business.

I've been waiting on a part that was supposedly on...

I've been waiting on a part that was supposedly on backorder. However, I was advised that the part was located on and being shipped (overnight) on Wednesday. Today's Friday evening I never received a call letting me know if the part has came in. And I honestly just want my vehicle back. Because it seems that the individual that was assisting me was annoyed because I asked to hold off on "recommended services" that aren't even due yet. I'll be calling back on Monday if the part still hasn't arrived I'll just be picking my car back up. Because in the past when I've received my car back extra miles we're on my car and, my tank went from right under full to half a tank. Even though the car was supposed to be parked waiting to be repaired.

Wow! What an experience! My boyfriend and I were first time car buyers. And everywhere we went we either got a crappy salesman, the inventory didn t meet to our needs or the prices were ridiculous. When we walked through the doors of City, we were greeted by Mr. K. Orlando S. Hall, what an amazing human being! Very direct, and also very on his toes. As we were checking out vehicles he never stopped looking for more options. He never settled for just any truck, he looked out for our best interest. He met all of our needs and gave us a great deal on our new truck. He helped us get financed with us BOTH having NO credit! That man is a blessing and I will forever be his loyal customer. We were there from 10 AM and he didn t stop working his magic until we left with our truck after closing hours! If you are serious about buying a vehicle that meets your needs, want great customer service without gimmicks or feeling like you re being pressured, I 100% would forever recommend Mr. Hall!

The customer service is super Duper horrible at Hendrick Chevrolet.

I still have a constant knocking noise in my vehicle since I purchased it 2014 that no one can seem to resolve. I had body work done on the vehicle August 2017 however the headlight was malfunctioning... my issue was just resolved two weeks ago.

I will say that Saverio the customer service representative I was dealing with on my last visit was super Duper friendly and helpful. However it should not take several calls to corporate office to get the treatment that customers deserve initially!

Their service dept and and customer service went above and beyond my expections. Do not buy a Silverado truck and for the love of god do not get it here.

I got a new work truck from this dealer it is a 19ft 2500hd workforce edition and is sold as a work truck. Well my office did not realize the new models did not come with ANY storage other than glovebox. When I say any I mean no center console, no ashtray not even under the back seat or the hidden cubbys the rams have. When I called the salesman and said this won't work as it is a work truck he gave me a well yea that's the way they are and hung up on me. I tried calling him back thinking we got disconnected and left multiple voice mails and he never called me back so I got my office involved. The VP called and left him voicemails as well and never got a call back.

The 110v inverter never worked since we bought it and I took it back here for its first oil change with an appointment and told them to look at it while they were at it. After 3 hours of waiting all I got was have to bring it back and leave it and get your stuff out. Well I made an appointment and brought it back on Friday with them going to give me a loaner to get home and back.

I get there to drop it off and was told they going to get me something from enterprise and it would be faster if we shuttled over there. So I take my stuff that I want to take home with me and load into there "shuttle car" and we head off to enterprise. They drop me off at the enterprise 3 miles down the road and the wait starts. They guy there did not have a reservation for me and could not get the service department on the phone to get the authorization to give me a car and this whole time I am waiting outside in 90+ heat because of enterprise not allowing anyone inside due to covid. So after 40 mins and me trying to call them as well I try the parts department and tell them to go across the isle and get them to call me.

After all this waiting and calling I finally say screw it and start walking back to the dealer. About half way back they finally call me and I tell them to come pick me up and take me back to my truck. They say they sent someone out to get me but I never saw them and ended walking all the way there in 90+ heat carrying luggage with no water.

Come to find out the service guy did not tell the shuttle guy the right enterprise and they don't know how to pick up a phone.

I wasn't satisfied. I went there for a new driver side mirror and wheelcover.however they were able to out the mirror on but not paint it and when I spoke with someone over the phone I gave my Vin number and was told they had the wheel cover for my car in stock for $67 when I got there after they put the mirror on I told they would not be able to paint it also the wheel cover was $95 and they didn't have it in stock. I was pissed because they knew that before hand and I surely would have taken my car somewhere else had I be aware of the halfass service I received. I feel cheated!! Oh and they would order me wheel cover and I would hear from them the next day which would have been Friday or Monday. No call or email from them.

We bought a Chevy Traverse redline from Paul and Andy. They were amazing. Easy to talk to, no BS. I told Andy on the phone what I wanted and to get me the best price. We pulled up the car was there but they found the tiniest of dings and wouldn t show us that car. We would of never known. That s how honest they are. They had another redline that was perfect. I was fortunate enough to work with Stephen Pecha on the pre-owned side of the house and purchase a "used" 2019 2500HD High Country with 3500 miles, when I went in looking for a similar truck I saw online with 35,000 miles. Needless to say once Stephen discussed my needs with me, he didn't have to work hard to sell the truck with only 3500 miles on it!! Stephen is a seasoned veteran at this game and shoots it to you straight. His service, follow-up, communication, and sincere concern that I was a satisfied customer was more than clear. If you are in the market for a vehicle - any vehicle - I really would recommend at least calling him first and getting his take on what deals might be available for you as well.
