Took 3 hours for an oil change WITH an appointment!! Service Advisor told me it would only be 1.5 hours. I told him I was running late and very frustrated and that I was going to Escondido Honda from now on. He didn t say, I m sorry to hear that he just said, That s fine! Well, I guess it ll be fine if I buy my next 2 brand new cars from Escondido Honda as well. This isn t the first time we ve had bad service there. Do yourself a favor and find another dealership or an independent shop!

The sales person was more worried about the numbers rather than any customer satisfaction. The worst part was that we were not even allowed to test drive the car. We leased a Honda CR-V. It was a wonderful experience. We have never purchased or leased a new vehicle. Poway Honda was not pushy at all. They let us come to our own decision. We took our time. When we made our decision,, they bent over backwards to make it happen. We will definitely buy here again.
Due to Covid, we have not driven our cars much last year, so after a long time, I took my car to Poway Honda to be serviced. The maintenance reminder was mainly due to time passed and not the car mileage this time. They were also very cautious with the Covid and required face masks and all the staff were also wearing masks. As always, Marco and technical staff at Poway Honda service department were excellent last week in servicing my Honda Accord. My service advisor, Marco is simply OUTSTANDING! He is extremely nice, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, courteous and trust worthy. He always goes the extra mile to make my visit to Poway Honda service department a pleasant one. He always provides me with useful information on near future service recommendations. The waiting area is clean, but there was no coffee and snacks provided due to Covid. I waited outside since it was a beautiful day that day. All service advisors and staff are nice and friendly and I also had a chance to say hi to Sheryal, Gary and my other friends at Poway Honda. Sheryal is super nice and friendly and I thank her very much for the appointment reminders and also the service follow-ups. I Highly recommend Poway Honda service department and dealership. First of all, I m going to start by saying I m giving this a 2 star instead of a 1 solely based on the politeness of the attendant (Marco) had with me the entire time. Otherwise, I was not pleased. Yes, I primarily got done what I went in looking to get done (under warranty AC issues, tire pressure sensor light de-mystified and to let me know what the maintenance light was indicating), but when I end up paying $400 more than I was under the impression for I m not happy. I was asked to sign a preliminary total and the was shown a tentative quote (all which added up to around $300-ish...give it take $50). When I asked what the B1 service was the explanation I was given was oh just a general look over the fluids and topping off . Mind you I wasn t looking to get my oil changed or anything since I have that done elsewhere. I don t know if it s because I m a female or what for not getting a detailed account of what was going to be done to my car, but it was obvious when I was handed a $720 bill after all was said and done I was not happy at all.
Long story short, go to the dealer for items and issues that fall under warranty. Otherwise stick to the auto repair shops that aren t looking to price gouge your eyes out. Lesson learned.
I took my car in for an oil change and my service rep was Al Rodriguez. He kindly accepted a coupon from another dealership and let me know how long the wait time would be. He texted me when my car was ready to be picked up and check out was straight forward and quick. I was also texted my multi point inspection.
I purchased my 2017 from Pacific Honda, and the service there I found to be unreliable. Every time I've taken my car to Poway Honda or El Cajon Honda for service, the facilities are clean, the workers are kind, and the service is reliable and consistent.
I am switching over to Poway Honda from now on.
This was my third time buying a car at Poway Honda. Everyone there is great, Jose and Scott helped us this time along with Jim who has always made sure to take care of us. It's easy to say we will be back for the next car.
My Son was in the market to lease a new vehicle so his triplets can ride in safety and comfort (and pack everything child related with plenty of space to spare).
They settled on a Honda Pilot, so while he was at work, I started contacting various Honda dealers around Southern California. Every dealership responded eventually, but the response I got from Gary Lobel at Poway Honda was not only prompt, but he graciously kept the conversation going (as I had plenty of questions) via email, even though he was swamped.
Gary was awesome and not only shot me a great deal (and I mean no other dealership could/would touch that price) he gave me all the details and pricing information via email. And during Covid-19, that is invaluable.
We had this fantastic deal negotiated before we even got to Poway Honda to look at the Pilot.
Gary was detailing the Pilot model my Son wanted as we arrived to finalize everything the next day.
From checking out the Pilot, to signing everything (special shout out to Andre Allen - Finance Manager, who was incredible) to receiving instructions on the features of the Pilot, we were in and out of the Poway Honda in about two hours!
We told Gary, with the spectacular service we received (and great pricing of course), Poway Honda now has two new customers - for life!!!

Got the maintenance in my car done fast and did a great job!
Do not use their shuttle service. It will take forever. They told me the driver will give me a call in 15min but nobody called me until I called back one hour later.
And then, told me driver was on his way but not showed up for another 30 min.
After another call, the representative said the driver will be on my home in 15~20min.
What makes me angry is not it took so long for the shuttle but they lie to me.
Please Take Uber or Lift if you need shuttle service.
I wish I didn t lease my car here. It was been a serious of unhelpful, lazy, and being over charged. They honor none of the promises they make and just want together the most money from you. DO NOT GO HERE ANY OTHER SAN DEIGO DEALERSHIP IS BETTER.
Brian our sales associate was very straight forward and looked to get us the car that actually fit us best. He never tried to push things that weren't important trying to make a bigger sale. Free popcorn and a play room for the kids didn't hurt either. Great experience so far.

Poway Honda's service can get quite busy and hectic, but I have always found the customer service to be top-notch. When I dropped my car off for service yesterday I received both an update call and a call as soon as the car was finished. They washed it for me and got me in-and-out quickly when I came to pick it up.
Bought my Honda fit here at a very competitive price. Was haggling at another dealership closer to where I lived for hours, and only offered to beat the price by only $100 AFTER i had left and arrived at Poway Honda. The staff here were so respectable and upfront compared to the other dealerships I was dealing with that I decided to buy from Poway instead. Paid in cash and the staff were very professional and quick, I was able to get in and out in a little over an hour.

Poway Honda was great! My Civic was making a grinding noise coming from the engine. B/c of this issue, I first took my car to Pacific Honda off of Convoy St. I was later told that the technicians could not duplicate the problem and was given the option to leave my car there overnight, which i did. The next day, I recieved a call claiming they still could not duplicate the problem. After wasting my time at Pacific Honda, I decided to take my car to Poway Honda. I arrived 15 min. early to my appointment and immediately Jon Callao was already there to assist me. I told him the issue i was having with my vehicle. After 30 minutes of waiting, Jon told me that his technician could not duplicate the problem, so he suggested that I drive the vehicle with the tech inside. And there was the noise. Jon helped me get a rental and after a few day, my entire clutch assembly was replaced and good bye to the grinding noise! Jon was professional and went above and beyond providing complete customer satisfaction. Not to mention, he always kept me updated with my vehicle. When you go to Poway Honda to get your car serviced, ask for Jon Callao! Thanks Jon for everything!!

Mr. Doc Marmor was simply amazing! From start to finish, we felt like we were treated as VIP customers. I sent an email inquiry, he called me back the same night. The next morning I drove from Chula Vista to Poway, and Doc received me immediately. He showed us the vehicles we were interested in, explained all the car functions, allowed us to test drive, and then provided us with a friendly, smooth and informative sales process. I have only ever got my oil & filter changed once a year because I'm from out of state.
Nonetheless, they have a record and remember me and I've always been treated as a valued customer.
My car has always been properly serviced and they check it out thoroughly for the trip home.
The staff has always been friendly and helpful and the charges have reasonable.
Not only that, it is located in a nice area with plenty of places to which to walk while the service is being done.

I have been taking my car here for several years. Today's service was 2 hours which was exactly as predicted. I plan to continue to take my Honda here.
I needed my 2018 Honda Odyssey taken care of and they have done a great job.
The issue I had were causing sensors and maintenance lights to come on spontaneously and it was getting quite disturbing. In November 2018, I took it to Poway Honda for an oil change and Marco (service advisor) quickly gave me the option to have two recalls done on it; this was prior to Honda sending me the recall notifications so I was not even aware of them.
During the oil change, Marco and his technicians realized the issues I had with my sensors. They did a diagnostic and ordered a seat belt sensor which they felt would fix my issue. Installing a new sensor and then doing the recalls required my vehicle to stay one day at their facility. They arranged tirelessly for me to get a rental van because of the number of children I have. The next day, I pick up my car and leave happy. The error seemed to have been taken care of until Jan 2019.
I planned to return to Poway Honda and called them I was on the way in the next 30 minutes. As soon as I arrived, Marco tells me that he had already called Enterprise and locked on a van for me and said, he and his team will find out what s wrong with my van and not let this problem go on. He calls me later that day and tells me that it was the actual SRS Harness but he could not get the part for a few days since it was coming from Ohio even though he had requested expedited shipping. Along with Honda of America, they felt the alarm installed from the dealership I bought it from may be faulty. Marco kept me up to date daily of my vehicle and the parts on order. My van interior was taken apart just to fix the issue. I was called that my van was ready around 9 days later. It has been two weeks now and no issue seem to be present.
Highly Recommend Marco and his team of experts at Poway Honda. I will be there again for my regular and unscheduled maintence needs since they have shown me great knowledge and honesty throughout this extremely tiring problem.

Came in for a B1 service on my 2015 Honda Civic. The tech who put together my order was extremely friendly, provided all the info I needed and more without my even having to ask. Free wifi in the service center, delicious coffee and snacks, all made my short wait much more enjoyable. Speaking of short wait: Less than 40 minutes after driving up, I'm driving away with a fresh wash and all. Couldn't have asked for better service!

Service-I ve been dealing with Pete in service for 8 years. He s like a good mechanic. You find one, you keep him. I never feel like I am being taken advantage when I get my vehicle serviced there. If I don t have a coupon, he will look around for one. Money is important.
Sales-Since I live in Poway, I wanted to buy in Poway, but wouldn t allow myself to get ripped off either. I dealt with Gary in their Internet sales department. I quoted him the price that the USAA buying service was offering me (Which I felt was reasonable after researching everything). He met it and also gave me what I expected for my trade-ins. Never thought he was trying to pull a fast one over me.
After the fact sales- The day after we bought the new vehicle, we decided that we didn t want the hondacare warranty (You can find them $400 cheaper online, BTW). Went in, told them we wanted it taken off and without any kind of push to keep it on, took it off and gave us our money back with a smile.
Overall, Poway Honda is a great dealership with services and sales. Sure, others might differ with their opinion but for us, they get 5 stars.

Asked Poway Honda to adjust the back automatic hatch because it was not flush to the side panels. TheY came back and said my frame was bent and couldn t adjust. Gave me a card to a body shop. Bumper is fine. I can t believe that was their answer. I looked under car and everything looked fine. I really don t think the mechanic wanted to be bothered.
I ll be seeking car services from another Honda dealer.
Marco was excellent. Although he had advised me that my oil change would take approx 90 min, he had my car ready including car wash in 45 min. He was very professional and I was very satisfied with his customer service.

I had purchased a certified used car back in January from Poway Honda. On March 4
I had an issue with my car and decided to take it to a closer dealership Tipton Honda . The part that they fix was still under warranty but they told me I needed all my fluids flushed changed and they told me I needed new front brakes they only measured 2mm. I couldn't understand why after two months I needed to have all this work done. I reviewed my certification paperwork I decided that I need to go back to Poway Honda and figure out why there was such a discrepancy on my brakes and fluids. I spoke to the general manager Jackie Mafi and Christopher Melton the service manager. They looked at the car and after review it all we figured out the the other dealership was up selling and their measurement on the brakes were different. But Jackie and Christopher decided to go ahead and replace the breaks and to give me piece of mind by changing the fluids. I was totally impressed by them stepping up and going the extra mile. They truly believe in the value of customer service and even though it's quite a drive to service my car I know that I can count on them doing the right thing.
They Continue to beat my expectation in customer service every time. Each time is better than the last. Every service advisor treats customer with respect and care. They are the absolute best service center in San Diego.
