I wasn't happy with the service I received which makes me apprehensive to even pick up my pictures. I told the photographer that I was there for a maternity shoot. He took pictures of my husband and daughter, then daughter by herself. What does that have to do with the mother, me? Then he never took one of me alone and told me I could only have 5 shots.

Horrible people the man was so rude and disrespectful to us. We didn't even get our pictures taken because the man was being so disrespectful and nasty!!! They wouldn't even give me my money back!!
The worst photo experience possible. i recently had my 5 month old baby's photo taken. she is probably the most photogenic baby you could find. however, the photographer used this god awful blanket that had no business being in the photos to prop and position her. i the photo shoot i thought surly they will edit or crop the photos to hide the unsightly blanket. they didn't. and one of the few shots that looked decent looked like a cross between an 80s glamor shot and the kind of photo you would put up next to wreath at a funeral. the lady that went over the packages and photos was rude. over all i can honestly say that i could take better pictures in my living room with my smart phone. don't use them.....
Great photographer knows how to deal with little people. Had my granddaughters in the portraits, ages: ten, four and 3 weeks old. All felt comfortable with the photographer. Pictures came out beautiful, all of them. I recommend everyone to go and get portraits of your loved ones or themselves with this company.
The only reason I have this company two stars is because the photos were gorgeous. However, when I was there to get our pictures taken there were two families before us with young children and the photographer was horribly rude to not just the children but the family. I am truly unsure as to why the parents said nothing at the time. Even my two teenage children were upset how these children were being treated. Then I went to pick up my picture today. As I have several trips coming up I was going to purchase more at a later date after a move. I was informed that they would not allow me to purchase more pictures later that they would be destroyed after I left. I won't be using this company again.
My family and I took pictures here and the photographer was nice after we went back to order pictures we ordered the whole package deal. I ordered a canvas and one employee told me she was going to cut out one of the pictures I bought from the package so she can put in the order for the canvas saying so they can know it would be that exact photo. When I received the canvas in the mail it wasn t the same canvas material they showed me during the time I bought the package and they also got the wrong color of the photo canvas to add they didn t mail me back the photo they took away from me. When I called customer service about it I got yelled at I also told them that they didn t sign the print release and I couldn t print out photos. this lady was in a bad mood and didn t want to help me she hung up on me. I called back a different day and told them my situation with the canvas and photo they still didn t mail me nothing back or mail me a new print release. Really bad customer service this company has.
I was so nervous, because I read the reviews after I signed up. I actually went up to them in Walmart and reserved a spot because we need updated family pictures bad. My family and I chose to wear our own clothes. Took the pictures wish we could have did one more pose but it's limited to 5. No problems with that part it was quick and fun. pick up was a hassle thought it was one day, which people other than us was up there for pick up as well and no one was there. So it actually was the following week, ok mistakes happen. I couldn't pick up the following week. Guy was so rude when I told him I we couldn't make it over there and told me call number on paper because he don't know how I will get them. I had forgot and a few weeks later I called went the same day to pick them up loved them so much bought whole package. So I guess everyone experiences are really miss and go.
DON't DO IT... RIP OFF, RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL!!! Will never do this again.. Signed up and had to reschedule the date. No, biggie. Well they sent us to another location that was for a different setting than whatever paid for. Assuring me that the new location is exactly the same.. Wrong!! So after waiting for 2 hrs after our appt time mind you, we arrived 45 min early as well.. We were then informed that they could not take our pictures at this location. So we were rescheduled for another location and another day. Finally we were able to take the pictures, and we're told that we would receive a reminder in the mail of the date and time for pick up. Well that never happend.. The day of pick my daughter had gotten very sick and had to be rushed to the hospital. I called the number I had to infront them of my emergency and that I couldn't make it there, but no answer. I left a message, sent a text and called again. With no one returning my calls. I thought I lost the picture and the money. I was wrong again. Finally, a month later someone called to let me know me that out picture was ready and they would ship it to us, the catch, for a $9.00 fee at our expense. I was told that if I wanted to chose our pictures and not have a shipping fee, then I should have been there on our pick up date. Well I apologize my child was ill.. Lol.. This place is a joke. And so rude..
Everything was just as explained.. I told my self I was just going to pay for the promotional picture... and had to buy the whole package they were just that good... They did a amazing job with my daughter ...so many compliments on her pictures, photographer was so good with her she just modeled away .. and if anyone knows how hard it is to take pictures of a 8 month old that crawls everywhere .. but photographer knew exactly what he was doing and had her smiling away .. Just so perfect..
I would not recommend this company at all. When we had the session, the so called assistant sat in a chair the whole time. The photographer made me who is pregnant get on the floor to help entertain my daughter. I had to have my mother in law help me get up. Also my daughter who's 2 wanted to use the soccer ball as a prop and the photographer wouldnt let her and made her stand at a piano that she didnt care for at all. Then when we went to pick up the pics, the helper wouldnt let us look in the envelope until the other lady was ready for us. We ordered the big package that came with the CD and the pictures on the CD you can tell were copy and paste. Theres some pictures where her feet aren't even touching the floor.
I paid twenty dollar for a session. They rushed me out and told me to come in two weeks to pick up my photos. I missed the pick up date and they mailed it to Oregon. The customer service rep told me I had to pay ten dollars for shipping and handling. What an awful company to not let the customer know they shipped the portrait off within three days.
I would love to give less than 1 star about this company, however, that was not an option. This company is the biggest rip off ever. Don't waste your hard earned money. You'd have a better experience at a photo studio in your near by Mall.
I purchased my $20.00 session in Charleston, SC. I was impressed. When I arrived for my scheduled photo shoot. I paid my $5.00 sitting fee to the registration lady who was very informative about what to expect. The very first pose was for the 12x18 wall portrait offer, they made sure to be clear to tell me that. So the whole family was posed together for that one. I also decided to have my family dress in the vintage style clothing they had The wardrobe lady was very helpful to get all of us looking nice. hats included! They took 4 more poses, me and my husband alone, and one pose of each of my 3 kids for a total of 5 poses. Finally, after the shoot was done they gave me a reminder for my appointment to come back along with a pricelist of different packages. I came back after a couple weeks, picked up my paid for wall portrait and then purchased the $89.95 pkg, but I really wanted the largest pkg. because the photos were ALL gorgeous! Next time I will budget for it! Better than I counted on for sure!!
just paid in advance & was excited to get my baby s pictures taken but once I came home & read the reviews I regret paying because now I m disappointed that I might have got scammed & worse part is , they don t do refunds but i still emailed them & asked for one . hopefully they give me a refund but I doubt it .... my appointment is on 12/12 hopefully all goes good & I don t get scammed . I will update when I hopefully get the pictures taken & will let you guys know if it s worth the money or not .
I love all of my photos even tho I couldn't purchase all of them at the moment but they're beautiful...I just wished it was a way for you to pay for the extras anytime not only that one time ..Is it a way that you can purchase them online and have them mailed to you? And I wished I could've took a pic of the others I couldn't purchase with my phone to have for my grandson...
The lady tried to charge me 4$ more for nothing the special was 15.75 and she said it was 20 luckily I called customer service before I went I wonder where the 4.25 would have gone probably in her pocket and after that she was so disrespectful and was on her phone the whole time

They need better employees with better customer service! My appointment to take the pictures was at 1:48 p.m. I arrived on time but had to prove to the employees because they were in such a rush to go to lunch at 2 That I had an appointment. Once I got done with the short paperwork and we only wore our clothes not their clothes! A Caucasian gentleman took one family pose with me and my children then he took an individual poles of my children but not me. Then we was done! The photographer never let us look at what he took of us. Felt very rushed just because they needed to go eat lunch and not treated fairly! I called in and made a report someone said they would get back with me and never did. The day I pick the pictures I was lied to and told that there were five poses done by me and my family and there. But actually it was five different background!then when I got to the Walmart to pick up the pictures a black man and a Caucasian man rude to me because I called in about the situation that I was not treated right it's like they teamed up together to make me feel some type of way when they did the customer wrong from the beginning I didn't even want to see the rest of the pictures when I finally got the pictures our mouths was open on photo... And then I was LIED 2 and treated wrongly when they did me wrong
I have always had my pictures done with them..the - 1st time I wasn't sure,but when I saw them I got all of them..and today my husband and son had our Christmas pictures done.can't wait to see them..going prepaid to get the whole set of puctures.can't wait
We were greeted by a Portraits Intl representative upon entering our local Walmart one day. They displayed beautiful vintage style photos, so we decided to make an appointment. The costumes and props were all very old, worn, and torn - NOT vintage! When my wife went to pick up our free photo, she bought the CD because she felt like she ought to... but that night when I looked at the photos I was extremely displeased. Also, when I spoke with the area representative over the phone about my experience, he was very defensive, rude, and he even insulted me! If you're disappointed, don't expect a refund!!
This was one of the WORST experiences of my life. My family and I was expecting professionalism and quality of service and didn t receive it. Upon signing in he gentleman Shane was rude after he was notified that there was going to be 7 children and 1 adult in the picture. I really didn t understand his dilemma because the family ahead of us he was really respectful. The photographer asked what 4 poses would we like after we insisted he choose he told me he didn t know what i liked. So after i made a suggestion he said that didn t make sense!!!! My brother was insulted by the statement so he asked if the guy could just take the picture he said but that means i have to reposition the children. I wouldn t suggest anyone spend their money at this place!
I am also posting this to the BBB. Be warned: This is a long and factual story. I scheduled an appointment with portrait international on 3/19/19. I pre-purchased my 12x18 and set time for 3:00 pm. Me, daughter, mom, and grandmother showed up for pictures on day of appointment 3/23/19 around 2:30. There was one family in front of us and we only waited about 15 minutes. The hostess was friendly and took my information and informed me of how the process works. When it was our turn we walked to the green screen area and I said hello how are u to the older male photographer. He replied and who are u, and who s who kind of aggravatedly. I introduced my family and we started. First he instructed my 70 year old grandma to sit on a child size bench. She said she couldn t practically laughing and he said yes u can . Then he decided she could stand behind me and my daughter. Then he pulled my daughters favorite stuffed animal away from her. I asked if the bear could be with her in pictures at some point. He sighed okay. He then comes around tells my mom and grandma to stand behind me and my daughter; picks up my feet and shoves them towards my behind and does same to my daughter very hastily. Does not ask if he can touch and move my/or daughters legs or feet before he does. Also, Mind u we were sitting on the ground in dresses. Then he says prominently this looks sloppy, but I will take the picture if you want. At that point I felt humiliated and violated towards myself and daughter with a room full of people watching so I said loudly come on everyone, we are leaving. Me and my family left and my husband went back up to get our refund. After the photographer basically begged my husband not to press charges against him, he gave him back the $20 deposit, not the $5 sitting fee. I am posting this to fore warn anyone of coming within 5 feet of this older male photographer. His pupils were also very dilated and he was sweating.
I took pictures for me baby with them. Very friendly, very professional. I see so many bad reviews and I do not understand why, they explain the whole process and even send reminders by mail. My two year old son was crying a lot during the session but the photographer did an amazing job making him smile and pose for the pictures. The photos were beautiful. Thank you!!!
Don't do it! Bad business. They took their "main one" for $25 and many others for extra. When I saw the printed out pictures the main one doesn't look good, I asked if I can leave the main one there and pick another one instead, they plainly refused. You just have to take the one you don't like home, or nothing. I told them it would be better if I could see the digital pictures at first and decide which one i want to be the main one, but they said no its not possible because there are so many people waiting there (which is true, you have to wait for so long to get photos taken, that was bad experience in itself). Basically, they got a way to do business, they can take a bad main picture, and if you don't like it you are stuck. You want to exchange to another one you need to pay extra. Is it worth $50 to get a small picture? No. I told them that's it i will just leave with nothing then, but they insisted on giving me this main one that "you have paid for", and told me " you can dump it in the trash can".
Briefly, you pay $25 for a photo taken, it could be good or bad, you just have to take it or leave it. For me, a waste of $25 and two awful hours in total. Next time you see them in walmart, don't do it. You are much better off going to a professional photographer, or using your iphone at home on vintage mode.
If I could rate with no stars, I would. My family and I were coaxed into going. I had a bad feeling about it from the start, but my husband really wanted to get us a family picture. The dude was good with the kids, but my husband requested that we receive a certain picture. Not only did we not get that picture, but we didn't even get to pick one picture ourselves. They choose what they thought were good, and charged us over $130 for five photos with copyright release. Never use these people.
There should be a negative star for these people. I was approached by a man at a walmart and decided to schedule a portrait for my kids. The man asked me if I wanted to be scheduled for Saturday. I told him that we had other obligations that Saturday and would they still be there the following Saturday. He assured me that they would be there and scheduled me for that Saturday. When i went to my appointment the photographer was not there. I called their corporate office and they gave me the photographer's phone number. When I finaly got in touch with the photographer, after multiple attempts, she said that they were not going to be their that weekend and that the guy who scheduled the appointment, scheduled a date that they would not be there. I was told that a refund should be coming to me because it was an error on their part but never received it.
VERY RUDE Photographers. They charged me 5$ for a sitting fee, another 5$ for a RECEIPT. Like come on people. The photographers took my pictures in 5 minutes and told me to get out and come when you're pictures come in.
The photographer was amazing. The photos gorgeous. The man I picked them up from was rude. He not only refused to answer my call/text when my partner finally reached him, he was rude. He was short in person and really soured the finalization.
A client of mine was pulled and drawn into this without any consultation. The client is very gullible and easy to take advantage of. I called and tried to cancel the appointment and get a refund but they denied it. This client is diagnosed with MR, has issues with impulse purchases. When his staff found out that he did this they went back right away to undo it just to find out the guy running the portrait stand had already gone. No refund. Client lost 20$
I was caught off guard by a guy at walmart offering these pictures, but he gave me an even better price than advertised so I said what the heck. And then I read these reviews and I was so nervous. But my husband agreed to get them done and More
We take 20's pictures yearly with this company and this year was absolutely awful. The photographer rushed us the entire time. He was rude. Multiple poses had No prompts which was the entire reason we did these photos. He was irratable with my children the entire time and it was honeslty a waste of time and money. One out of 6 pictures turned out okay and it was only because he caught a picture of my baby smiling. All the other prints had my kids looking away from the camera or with them mid blink with their eyes squinting. Im pretty upset with our experience especially because the last few years they have done so well. Not sure we will be taking pictures with them again. Aside from the photographer the lady we meet with to pick up our pictures was not friendly nor professional either. She texted me 3 times in a row reminding me of my appointment time to pay for my pictures and repeatedly asked me not to be late because I was her last appointment before lunch. The person who texted me once to set up the photo shoot and take the $20 payment, ignored me when I texted him 3 times to reachedule it when I couldn't make the original time. Never even heard from him again. Everyone I delt with with this company made the experience horrible.
Rip off i thought the cd would have more photos just the same pics that's printed only in different colors so paid 220 for copies i could have made in walgreens ...pathetic
Not a good quality service! I should have known something was not right when they make you pay for the first portrait up front. First, when you sign up they don't tell you that you are paying for the very first pose (regardless of how nice it looks) or the pose of THEIR choice. Second, they tell you that costumes are provided and you will be assisted and posed by a professional. Well the costumes were all the same just different color, they were ripped and of poor quality. The "professional" was some person with a camera similar to the Nikon my mother owns and there was no professional lighting. We were NOT posed but rather watched while I tried to figure out what to do with our family. The lady did try to get my son to stop crying and she was polite but, being honest, she was not a professional at all. Also, they advertise 5 different poses will be captured but there were only 3 that we were taken in (that I did on my own). Then, after all that chaos you find out that you don't even get to view the photos at all! And they offer you a pricing sheet for their packages. These packages are very expensive and to top it off you don't get to select which photos and sizes you get... they do! As for pick up... when you schedule the appointment to come back and get your photo they tell you that if you have to reschedule then it will be reschedule at a time and location of THEIR convenience! Just to top it off I got my appointment card for pick up in the mail only 2 days before my appointment and see that they scheduled me down for the WRONG time to what we agreed upon so now I have to reschedule and I can only imagine how far I will have to drive based on what I've heard about these people. I tried to call their corporate office and I left a detailed message only to receive no call back. I called again the next day and was told to call the local office so I did and got a machine and left another detailed message. I don't expect to hear from them until tomorrow (my pick up date) at the earliest. So far I'm highly disappointed but hoping that at least one photo of my family or children came out nice to make it worth it. Never again.

I would not even give this company 1 star i am submitting something to the better business bureau the customer service was the worst and they will trick you into buying a photo you dont even get to see or choose. It says on the paper portraits are available for viewing when i called corporate the lady said it also doesnt not say they choose the photos for you i replied with thats tricking people and she told me she did not need to have that conversation and hung up on me i called to leave a message for someone to call me and there is no voicemail. I hope bbb shuts this horrible company down!
I will never us this company again can I say run a around. You tell them one thing and they do what they want. I wanted a picture of my youngest to be the prepaid picture which I told the one checking us in and then the photographer. When we come to pick the pictures up it was a family picture which was horrible. We then proceeded to tell the guy that was doing delivery that this is not what we asked for he wrote our information down and told us that it would be 4 weeks before we got our pictures back. I waited 8 weeks and had not heard a thing so I called to check on the status of my picture to have to repeat all my information yet again they then told me I should get my picture in a week or two. I waited still nothing so I called this time I did not talk to the person but he texted me so I called corporate I asked to talk to the head person she made it right by making sure my picture came to me in less than a week and also sent me a extra sheet. I am glad to finally have my pictures but it should not have took 12 weeks to get them especially if they had listened in the first place. There was a lot of other things wrong but I feel that other people have stated a lot of the same problems we had.
The only good thing I can say is we got two good pictures.
All they are interested in is signing you up and getting $10 from you to reserve an appointment without mentioning "no refunds on the promotin" - you lose $10. I called the corporate office and I was told they can call me within 6 months once they are back in the area but there office is located in Houston, TX, they're local. Who knows if I'll get a call, mistake on my part for not google searching the company first.
I was very nervous about using this company for portraits after reading online reviews but my experience was great. I signed up at Walmart in New York and I paid $20 for 12 x 18 portrait. On the day of the photo shoot I paid a five dollar fee and the photographer was very professional and worked hard to get good pictures of my five grandchildren. Four of the children were toddlers so this was not easy. I went back a couple weeks later to see the portraits I was given a price list on the day the portraits were taken so I was well aware of what the cost would be to purchase. I thought the prints were great and I bought a package for $189 that included prints and a CD. The CD did have high resolution files and I even had an extra picture on there that they had not printed. I think the cost was comparable to other portrait studios i have used And their portraits are unique. Personally I plan on using them again.
I paid for the pictures upfront and made an appointment to pick them up. No one was there I waited 15min past my appointment time and no one ever showed up. I dont know if it's a scam and this is how they work but do not give these people your money and be foolish like I was!
Very disagree, I don't recommend it to anyone!, Since after you pay for it, they dont let you choose the picture, they choose it and give you the worst position picture!, In that way you have to pay more for the better position picture.!! They dont care about the better position they care about the money they will make buy making you choose a better one!!
My husband, my son and I did our family photos with them, it wasn't the best experience. Not only that but I lost my son a couple of weeks later and the sales guy was unsympathetic, only cared about me buying pictures so he could get rid of me and go home. Besides that the are way over priced and so not worth the time, effort and energy.
These people are a scam. They take 20 dollers up front, then they charge you again when you go and take the pictures 10 dollers and then you have to pay 180 dollers for more than one photo. These stores should not let them be there. Awful people.
I m with the others that say if we could give them no stars I would. First when I walked in it smelt like smoke so bad I could not take it . Second the photographer was late and not even set up when we got there. Lastly when it came time to take my pictures the photographer seemed like he was mad that my 2 Year old was scared of him. She did not want to stand still so he got her to sit in a chair. This was NO VINTAGE CHAIR, it was a Peppa Pig chair (wth) is what i was thinking. Then he did some with her standing playing with an Umbrella (that came out good) so before I left there I asked him and the helper to please make the umbrella picture my big picture and she wrote it down. When it came time to pick my picture up the girl pulled it out and there it was my daughter sitting in the damn Peppa Pig chair. That is when I lost it and said what the hell does Peppa Pig have to do with vintage and the lady that was giving them out said I m with you on this one and marked the picture I wanted and I went on my way. Well something told me to call customer service and let them know, well they were no help. They all acted like they did not know what to do . One even told me to go back and pick up the picture I did not want and send it back to them (me paying for shipping) and they would send me the one I wanted after I paid again for shipping the new one ($10). So I went back to the place and told the lady what customer service told me to do and she called her manager and what she did was right . Let s just say I would tell everyone not to use this company for pictures. They do not know what they are doing and really do not care if you are happy about your pictures or not .
My Husband and I got stopped at our local Walmart by a Sales Rep. for Portraits International. I was completely uninterested at first. But she told me the price so I thought I would give them a try! After signing up, I was blindsided with the $5 sitting fee, but okay, only $17.95 invested for two photos, not horrible. It has been almost a year since my family has had portraits done, although, I have never used this company before. After coming home, I googled the company to see what to expect. The reviews are scary! I was nervous. The day of the session, we arrived about 10 minutes early. We wore our own attire. The guy handling paperwork was not the friendliest, however, he was not rude. We waited maybe 5 minutes before the photographer Kasey, came for us. Right off the bat, she was interacting with my three children, a 1 yr old, 4 yr old, and 7 yr old. She asked how we would like our two poses. We chose one of the whole family and one of the children. She posed us for the family photo, making sure everyone was photo ready. She was even awesome enough to make sure my hair was placed right, my necklace was placed right, and that my chin was posed right so it did not look like I had a double chin! I was grateful. She had my 1 yr old smiling right at the camera by acting silly. She told us we had 3 more poses that we used to take separate photos of the children then she got one of my Husband and I. In all, we had 6 poses. Of course, I knew all the extra poses would cost more. If you know you only paid for one or two, and they took five, you should not be surprised about the extra cost. They also explained the first two poses would be the promo poses. Kasey even showed me all of the photos on her camera before we left. They looked amazing on camera. They gave me a reminder for when to pick up the photos and what time that also has all of the optional packages with pricing. Although, the price is kind of high, I plan to get the full package to share with other family members. I pick up my photos on 07/27/19. I will update when I get them!
They are a fraud, they came to the heb of san antonio tx in valley hi rd and they had a promotion of a large photo for $ 14.99 and they gave me an appointment to go and pick it up and they never showed up, on the day of the photo they told me to pay $ 5 more and a month ago they spoke to me on the phone that they had the photo that they would send me by mail that I would pay $ 10 with my debit card in total they paid $ 30 and I never received the photo of my children, they are a real fraud I hope it is the only one disappointed you need to steal from people to progress which hurts a very bad reputation for you .. one
Welp! Should have looked at these reviews before i signed up. I thought this was a great idea for my two toddlers. We ended up missing the date because we were heading out of town. I asked the man prior to paying if we had to cancel would i get a refund and he said yes. I called today to get a refund. The "customer service" was rude and told me they would not offer me a refund. I explained that they had my money without any services rendered and then needed to return it. She point blank stated NO and asked me if there was anything else i had a question about because the refund would not be granted. So frustrating!
We just got the children's photo taken with their puppies. The photographer was awesome. These will treasured forever. We do not get many photographers in the area. This was great that Walmart brought them in. I am so excited by these photos.
Worked for Portraits International for 2 weeks under Dealer Chuck Morgan. First he paid in cash (Red Flag) and second he never gave me paperwork to sign. I worked for 2 week but there is no record. The second week he sent me to Batesville, AR (from March 1 to March 4) to photograph he was supposed to pay for gas and hotel but when I get to the hotel there was no reservation. I had to pay. Once I got back from Batesville, AR I quit. Now Chuck Morgan doesn't want to pay me for the work I did in Batesville,AR.
I called Human Resources and they told me that there was nothing that they could do because he has his own business under the company.
The whole Portrait International company is a fraud. Don't work for them.
This people are horrible they came to the waltmart at Augusta Ga. And the first tell you you get a big picture for 12 dollars, ones you pay that then you have to pay a 5 dollars few for i dont know what. Then they dress the kids with what they want, not what you want!. They take the pictures and when you come back for your picture, fisrt they choose the picture for you, 2. They print the picture they want. They charge you so much for a poor quality picture. And the lady is so pushi and mean. So dont waste your miney on this people.
Two weeks ago I scheduled an appointment to have my pictures done on Sunday 11/15 at Walmart, prepaid a week ahead and then when it came time for my appointment, photographer never showed and Walmart had no idea about any photos being taken there. What s even worse is I got a text the night before to confirm my appt, then another call the morning of confirming again the time and location just to get SCAMMED! Spent $100 on outfits, $10.83 for photo appointment and never even got our pics taken! Nobody ever answered on any of the numbers. I ve left tons of messages and I haven t heard anything back from Portraits International or Walmart!
Do not waste ur time and money pleaaaaaaaase. Worst company to deal with. They gave me by far one of the worst experiences ever. Do not waste your time and money. I feel super disappointed and wasted money. My husband and I took pictures about a month ago and paid for the session and one 18x12 picture and came today to pick them up. The photographer took only five pictures super fast (15 mins per family for changing and pics) and when I came today, I truly didn t like 3 of them but really liked two of them. I wanted to get the big one that I paid for with a pose that I like, but they didn t let me. He said you paid for the first picture, I told him I truly don t like it and I like the other two, so give me the big one of one I like and I will purchase another that I like as well. I just don t want a huge ugly picture in my house. I stayed for good 20 mins looking at the pics and they were not helpful at all. I told him ok what if I change the pose to the one I like, he told me $59.99 for one picture!!!!!!!! I ended up leaving all the pics and walking out of there with ruined Thanksgiving weekend!!!!!
We are newlyweds who love pictures and we get them all the time but a family member told us about their special offer, biggest waste of money and time, I left out of there highly disappointed and I will never ever recommend them to anyone!!!! I contacted the headquarters and they couldn t do anything about it!!!!!!!!!
I work for this company and when it comes to the service it's not so much the company's fault as it is the individuals fault, but then again how can you blame the individual if the company does not give a list of expectations for the employee to follow? it's like they want results without giving the proper education! It's quite laughable. it's like asking for something for nothing. As far as the product itself it's the best on the market linen cloth is the material color seal last Generations but then again who cares about awesome product if your service sucks. I work in the pre-sale Department where we set up in front of Walmart and get the qualified appointment first. I can confidently say that it's a excellent paying job if you're good at sales because anybody with common sense knows that sales is the highest paying profession in the world if you're good at it. You see folks this company has a problem and the problem is easily fixable however you're dealing with lazy people (owners) in a glass tower with lots of money and the biggest secret to why this company sucks at its service is because everybody that buys an Android or an iPhone is ( in my sarcastic voice) a certified photographer which tells you what? that the photo business is dyyyyyiiiinnnngggg. right, or wrong? so why would they give themselves a headache and provide excellent leadership when it's harder if it companies will no longer exist in the near future and they can Hammer your dumb asses right over your head for astronomical prices for cheap paper and cheap ink. Why do you think Olan Mills went out of business after 83 years of providing exceptional service through the call center era and the Roll canister film era? Because fool they knew the photo apocalypse was coming and why did they know this? because their kids have a whole lot of Something's for nothing's...private jets and helicopters and mansions and b****** dancing in bikinis holding fortie ounces of old English so what have we learned here folks? When the photo business is near death why would you provide something great excellent service and people you can depend on with Friendly Smiles and nodding heads and wise words when you can get something for nothing. if I dangle a carrot (the carrot being Walmart) the busiest retail store on the planet. by putting a table right next to the door put a smooth talker with a decent-looking display of pictures and by the time you come back you got this fat Jabba the Hutt photographer with three days worth of food crumbs on her shirt don't be getting mad and s*** that's why when you read these reviews you have a bunch of mad customers. I've learned in 17 years in the photo industry that strong leadership creates strong results, while weak leadership creates week results. So the bottom line stick to your cell phone you certified photographers you quit being dumb asses and expecting phenomenal service at these photo companies because the photo business is a dying business and all these big Headhunters know it. I think it's so funny because I find me an excellent paying job somewhere else and before I leave this company they call portraits International I just like the shed a little light on the topic for all y'all beefers... think of it like this Dupree sellers in the company are pretty much the highest paid employees between the photographers and the Consultants but the photographers of the hardest worked and they complain the most there for putting a bad taste in the customer's mouth. I mean come on folks if you actually stop and think about it use your medulla I got a slick tongue salesperson in front of Walmart getting you all excited about this great linen cloth portrait because he gets paid pretty good then you got the photographer that gets worked to death and barely gets paid complaining and giving the customer and attitude not putting their all into the pictures and then when it's all done and the consultant delivers the packages. If the company had a future they would be leadership instead of something for nothing.
This is the worst place for anyone to get their pictures taken! When we booked this session we were told that we would be able to pick our background from over 500+ backgrounds that they have. My kids and I coordinated our outfits for the pictures and when we arrived for our session the background was a light brown and I asked the photographer if the background color can be changed and he said no it couldn't but insured that the colors we were wearing would be great with that background. So we proceeded forward with taking pictures that day. 2 weeks later we go to view the pictures that we had a 4:30 appointment and when we arrived at 425 there was a line and only one person showing pictures. Once it was finally our turn the lady brought out all the pictures and I was like wth is with the antique look? she said that is the background that you chose. I said no ma'am it wasn't I was told that we didn't have a choice. So I asked her to downsize the package and she did once and brought it down to 150.00 i said can't you go any lower with the package and price and she said no. Because there were so many people waiting i felt pressured to make a decision and bought the package for 150.00. The lady tried to charge me more when she was trying to figure out the cost and i told her it was wrong several times and she changed it and acted like it was HEB's fault with their internet connection. The funny thing is a calculator has nothing to do with internet. Then when she ran my card she tried to run it for a different amount. Thank God I was paying attention. I was so upset with myself for being pressured to buy these pictures that I sent an email to see if someone would contact me about a refund. Well they finally contacted me and of course just like all the other reviews, there is no refund available. They asked me to send them all the pictures that I had just purchased and they would replace them with color pictures. I told them why did I need to sent the pictures back to them at my expense. Anyway there are no refunds and their pictures are AWFUL!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN HEB!!!!!
Great work, I thought about just the promotional picture but when I saw the package all the pictures were beautiful, I will definitely use their services again
I was approached at Walmart to take some portraits and was told about the $5.00 sitting fee and was given a list of prices for all packages that will be available to me. I have a 1 year old daughter along with my 4 other children. We went to our appointment and then at that time I decided to dress up which they provided all costumes and props. During the session my 1 year daughter was crying the whole time. The photographer was so patience with her but I was thinking the pictures are going to be ruined due to her crying. And to my surprise the pictures came out gorgeous you couldn't even tell my daughter had been crying at all. So I purchased all of the pictures. I'm so glad I went prepared with the money to order all of them. Thank you Portraits International for such beautiful and unique pictures which I will cherish.
Just had a picture appointment the pictures came blurry and they don t let customer choose which they like they choose whatever they wanted, very disappointment they say is one price but when the pictures are taking they wanted to give a pack for more than 100
I was not impressed with the quality of the pictures, did anyone else get pictures that were grainy and not clear? I know they are supposed to be vintage photographs to look dated but are they not supposed to be clear? I went ahead and bought them anyway because the poses were cute but the pic I got for my big one was not the one I would have chosen, and the photographer was kind of pushy. It was not the best of pictures but not the worst, but bad enough that I won't be doing them with Portraits International again because the experience was not the best.
Horrible service in general!!!! Scammers!!!! Fraudsters!!!!!! Very unprofessional!!! It s hard for me to write a review let alone a bad one. This company deserves a true review- disrespectful from manager to junior staff.
I'm a photographer with Portraits International. I WISH more people would post their positive reviews. I've worked for this company 3 years and have had plenty complaints because people don't understand what they are getting. If people READ the offer they pay for it states EVERYTHING. You pay for 1 pose, the 1st pose. A good photographer will make sure you have that nice picture! You pay $5 for your sitting, its on the ticket! No refunds, it's on the ticket. IF you miss your appointment you can be rescheduled, just not at the same location. We travel, so it will be at the next closest location. It's not our fault you missed. You leave knowing you will have ONE image that paid for, and you leave knowing how much they cost. Try going somewhere and get 6 8x10's 6 5x7s 24 wallets proofs, and a CD for under $200.
Katy Tx.....went to the store where I bought the coupon to pick up the pics, and none of the WalMart employees or managers that I talked to knew where they were. Drove to the WM where the pics were taken, and no one knew anything there either. Called the contact person, and he couldn't give me the exact address. It ended up being the same place I was at the first time, and they were stuck on the side. Hello???? Who glances to the side of the entry??? The rep knew I was the person that had been driving between stores AND that I was now running late for an out of town tournament AND STILL MADE ME WAIT!!!!! UGGGHHHH
This place will screw you over tell ya you get a 12x13 for $19.95 + tax then you pay them and they say oh theres also a $5 setting fee so by the time its siad and done you have almost $27 bucks in one picture no refunds and very poor quality
We just bought our photos of our son. They turned out perfect! The photographer did an amazing job with getting our son to smile, and laugh. Every single picture he took was priceless! It was most definitely worth it for us.
Ok I am going to write in Spanish because I am very upset and English is not a first language. These people are not professionals at all. I made an appointment for the day Dec, 1 and it turned out that my baby suffered and had fallen and had a black eye and incharado. Immediately I call to change the appointment and they attend to me and they tell me if there is no problem, they say 2 days before Did, 15 they call her to tell her the time of the appointment. They never called, I call them Dec, 14 to ask and they give me another number to call and leave a voice message to call me back, it was never like that. In other words, I lost my money and I had a very bad experience again. If you want a burn experience with photographs, pay them dearly.

They scammed me for $159. The guy said he would mail them, waited a week and called him. He then proceeded to tell me him mother was dying and that he had a lot on his plate. He did say he mailed them though, it s now been two more weeks later and we haven t gotten anything! We called him and told him this is a scam and wanted corporates number. He texted us a number that was out of service and now won t answer our calls. DON T GO HERE!!!
