We go here every year. It's a little dated but the rooms are clean and we like the feel of the place. The staff is wonderful and there is always a pool where you can relax quietly in the sun. Great coffee place in the lobby too. The pool food is great but you'd be wise to plan on going out to eat during part of your stay.

I think the place was newly renovated because our room smelled like fresh paint. The room was nice, the bed and couch were comfortable. Housekeeping left a towel in the bathroom from the previous guest and the drain in the bathtub was partially clogged. I tried not to think about what it was clogged with as the water pooled around my feet. There are pools everywhere and our little boy loved it. The staff at the pool was very attentive and friendly. We ate dinner at one of the many on-site restaurants and while the food was good, the service was poor. There are lots of these types of resorts in the valley, I'll try others before I come back to this one.
The resort is on very steep hills, which makes getting around difficult. The pool area is great, and has a cafe. The rooms are very dated in need of a remodel.
Nice room, nice people, strawberries and champagne were good. But the details are lacking. The hot tub was cold, the bathroom sink made noise and the wasnt any microwave.
This place is amazing. The drive up and the views from the top are impeccable. I love it here!! The food is pretty good and the wait staff were very nice and helpful
In the hotel room, the toilet handle broke, than one of the light bulbs burnt out in a lamp while I was using it. In an advertisement I read, it said the place had 5 or 6 heated pools. Heated pools, my foot. And those pools were so dirty you couldn't even see the bottom. According to the Phoenix inspector, pools are supposed to be blue and you have to see the bottom at all times. I know this because I just dealt with an inspector at my house! I wouldn't be surprised if someone didn't call someone to really check this place out! For the amount of money they charge per room and the amount of money you spend in there. And check in is at 4 pm n check out at 11am. I felt rushed, misled, and raped on my charges. Hilton makes billions of dollars a year yet they only comped us $29. I'm not going to let a stranger come into my room and fix it while I'm not in there. And I'm not going to wait. Tick, tock were on the clock. All of the pools close at 11pm. Back to the toilet, we had to manually flush! GROSS!!
Me and my family stayed there for Friday July 6th and checked out on Sunday July 8th, The first night we were woken up at 1 am by a fire alarm and it went off for about 20 minutes it was hard to go back to sleep after that, then Saturday we were gonna go swimming the pools were dirty and crowded, The room was nice and clean but the landscaping and concrete was dirty. I think the pictures online looked way better than the actual resort.
Stayed here with my friends and no doubt that we really enjoyed the place, especially the view at night. Great place to relax and bond with your friends. Let s start with the staff, well I find them very approachable and nice. Have a quick response when I need something. Next the rooms, one thing I must suggest to little update it. For the food, it satisfies my tummy. What I really love about this place was the view, it s good to watch the sunset a very peaceful environment.
Been going to this resort for over 15 years and to this day have never had anything bad to say. So its a bit of a shocker reading these bad reviews. We've had small rooms and mostly their "Presidential" suites and we've loved the rooms. We have had meals at all of their restaurants and never experienced any rude staff. Love that they have pools scattered throughout the resort if you dont want to go to the waterpark or go swimming after the park closes. Reading a lot of these reviews it seems that these folks dont really look at their bookings when checking in. We've had to cancel once and we had our booking refunded and spoke to someone real. The only real complaint I have is mostly about some of the guests that have been there, adults not being able to handle their booze and cursing in front of the kids at the pool or screaming and hollering at 1:00am, but one quick call to the front desk and the staff came down to let them know to time it down. We've booked rooms via Expedia and the hotel directly and both services we're fine. Myself and my family would definitely recommend this resort. Just feel bad that some folks had bad experiences.
We had a lovely 3 day stay at this resort. We were upgraded to a cliff view suite gorgeous sunset views we actually spent time relaxing on the patio. Easter week lots of guests yet there are so many options for pools you were easily able to choose fun, kids and food poolside or quiet peaceful adult relaxing with drinks delivered. Also a variety of restaurants to choose from no need to ever leave the property. They've done a great remodel on an old phoenician gem!
Nice resort. Rooms are designed as suites. Bedroom in back bathroom in middle and living room in front. Layout is weird but ok. Wall light switches are in odd locations, like outside of rooms. Resort is starting to show its age. My room had cracks in ceiling, poor workmanship on patched walls and worn furniture. Their is a lot of ambiance in the multiple outdoor courtyards, again starting to show some age. We only used 1 of the hot tubs and this one was way to too hot and the jets didn't work.
The check in process was odd. While there were 2 employees working with no one in line, they were too busy with issues to greet me. The price given at check in but not charged at check out was way higher than I expected. Something about an extra charge "in case". No idea and at check out wasn't applied.
After checking in I was given a map and directions to my room. This included how to get to the elevator. As I learned my way around, I figured that I had been sent a round about way. This facility has a great many outdoor stairs that are part of the decor and I should have been sent to the closest stairs on the way to my room. Really odd.
I found this property to be over priced. Everything there was over priced. Meals, soda, internet service, room rate.
My husband and I do a couple staycations a year and we always stay here at Point Hilton Tapatio Cliffs. Their rooms are newly renovated there are several pools to choose from if you don t want to go to the big pool. The resort has so much to offer and you don t have to leave to get anything! Did I mention the amazing room service and the food is Devine!! We ve stayed here for years and will continue to in the years to come.
The Hotel amenities are great the staff was very nice. The only issue I have is when requesting some glasses and plates, it took two calls to get them.
Service is great. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Maybe not what you expect when you hear "resort" but for the price, it's worth the nice stay. The Falls water park is nice but small. The slide was fun. Couldn't tell you about the golfing because we didn't do that. Overall good stay!
I was born and raised in Phoenix. For years and years I had thought about staying here just to see what it was like - because the location is amazing. Stayed here with a buddy during the summer while making a cross-country trip. One of the main pools was closed when it was like 4 billion degrees outside - who closes a main pool at a resort in Phoenix in August? Parking was a nightmare. Also the resort really needs to keep track of how many people are staying in rooms - I saw one room in our building that was like a clown car... I saw at least 11 people come out of the same room. Unless they have 6-bedroom condos at this Hyatt I'm pretty sure they were overcapacity in the room. Also the workout room could use some newer equipment.
I stayed at the Pointe Hilton tapatio cliffs resort over the weekend and loved it the place is beautiful rooms were nice and clean staff was friendly plenty of things to do I would highly recommend this place and will stay here again
Nice 4-star hotel. Well-groomed and elegant. Helpful and courteous staff. Various swimming pools and golf course. Excellent breakfast. The room was a small suite
Okay...so let's just talk about the view for a moment. My husband and I first time to Arizona in June 2018 and the view...(sunset) was absolutely breathtaking. We were there for business, because I had to complete a Practicum or Residency 1 and he came along-:) The hotel deserved 5/5 although we did not stay in the hotel, because they were pretty pricey the view alone again deserves all of the praise. The rooms and pool needed some updating and could have been bigger. The hills were difficult to walk up and down in the extreme heat conditions, which was ALOT to handle being from a colder state. I suppose the Front Desk Reps could have handed up cold bottles of water daily for all of the money some paid (not me, LOL). The Front Desk Guest also could have been more informative about the whole residency thing, because again the weather was only like over 100 degrees some days 120 and walking up and down those hills when you've missed a van was not our ideal vacation/business trip, but no one can ever take this experience away from us. Very memorable!!
Never stay at this property! I just got back from the resort from a Father s Day stay with family. The resort is old and shows signs of age BUT what I experienced at this resort is pure filth. Cockroaches is the room, ant infestation, floor littered with worms and water bugs. No hot water in the room, cigarette butts and garbage littering the property. The open family pool is a freebie for the locals who come into the unlocked pool gate in the unrestricted property and party with glass bottles very late into the evening. This property is filthy, vile and you stay in swaller. The property has severe parking issues and is not secure what s so ever. I was charged for someone else s meal from the pool restaurant and found out about this at checkout. The property has the audacity to charge a $35 a night resort fee, which I refused to pay. I ve never stayed anywhere this horrendous and dirty. Stay away and my advise is stay elsewhere, plenty of other properties in the valley.
I wish I could give 5 stars as I was really looking forward to my stay. We booked a king suite, they gave us two queens and a cigarette infused room. Not to mention it s like a maze to get anywhere around the resort and parking was terrible. Then for the spa. We got two oil infused massages for 50 minutes totaling $300 including tip. My masseuse fell asleep mid massage multiple times just holding my hand in the air. Also snapped at me when I helped move my foot telling me to just relax. Natural reflexes. Not a $300 experience. I just wish it could have been a better first experience.
The resort is so spread out you have to rely on the shuttle to get anywhere. I was very frustrated that my wifi wouldn't work, and I couldn't get my shower to work! The water would only go up if it was scalding hot. Resort was beautiful and the staff were accommodating, but it was a sub par stay.
The pool area is nice, service is good. My son went swimming for the first time here. In our room there are quite a few things that need to be replaced and dont look nice at all. I especially HATE, and do not appreciate, being pre-charged 75 dollars a night in case we eat or drink everything from the minibar every day (75 x 6=450). They will not release the money back till checkout. Good thing we had a backup savings.
EDIT: Forgot to mention our sink and bath tub take FOREVER to drain.
Very nice resort, our suite was clean and mattress was comfortable. Parking can be a little challenging but not impossible. Pools are heated and there are several hiking and biking trails right on the edge of the property
It's a resort because it has a golf course, but I would say it's more like a nice hotel. Our room was nice. Spacious and comfortable. Private shaded patio. Very happy. Our AC quit working in the middle of the night, they can't fix them, so they moved us. This time to a room near the pool so it was noisy, and it had a shared open patio which was faced south so we had sun all day. Not a nice room at all. So I would call it hit or miss on the room you get. Restraunts were limited I guess due to Covid and they don't have a night club or even a bar open after 8 pm. I was a bit disappointed
The resort property is absolutely beautiful and staff was very friendly. However, the status of the room was extremely disappointing considering Hilton s standards. When we first got to our room, the bathroom had not been cleaned, the sheets had holes in them, and there was food on the floor.
Nice view from most of the rooms. Lots of pools and there are adult only pools which is nice on holiday weekends when there are a lot of kids there. Good food and friendly staff.
One bedroom king suite was nice, especially on the 4th floor overlooking the city
Concierge, room service and check in staff were very helpful
Hotel grounds are a bit outdated
Hotel was completely booked the weekend we were there so the point of view restaraunt was unavailabke to the public
The other restaraunt on the grounds was completely overwhelmed and understaffed
Bartender was stressed and lacked any sense of customer service. The bathrooms were unsanitary which was completely unacceptable at any resort including one that charges over$300 a night
I don t blame the staff in this case, for management failed to plan ahead
It was unfortunate the hotel was unable to keep up their end of the bargain
I am a Hilton honors member and I doubt my wife and I will stay here again
Resort is showing some wear and could use some updating. Service was excellent in all aspects. Restaurant and bar at the top of the hill has breathtaking views in the evening.
The rooms are big and clean. The bed is comfortable but pillows were a little soft. The pool is fun and there are lots of different pools to choose from. Haven't used the spa or golf course but had a very relaxing weekend.
Quite the odd experience. There is a nice hiking trail that's accessible from the hotel. My friend and I decided to go for walk. Some guy in a golf cart just drives up and asks if we are guests. Pretty intrusive, with no introduction and sounded not so nice. How do I know you even work for the hotel? He asks, "are you staying here? what's your name and room number" then drives away. How about, Hi, my name is (state name), and I'm the (state your position), and we want to make sure everyone on the property are our guests to keep everyone safe. Can I have your name and room number to verify? Not that hard. And then, at 3 am, some guy in a flashlight was going from car to car. Again, is it security? is it a burglar? Some level of communication would help.
I was heartbroken by this stay, I rented a room with two queens and a sofa bed for 4 nights. For myself my husband and our two teenage sons. Everything was closed although we were not informed of this until check in, fridge was dirty. My son and I had to clear out trash out of three of the pools prior to getting in. The water slide they boast still being open during this time was only open upon request but they are still advertising that it s open from 10 AM to 6 PM. Which is completely false. I thought they was supposed to be a limit to how many people were allowed to stay in each room, But they had no problem renting rooms out to people and having those people cram 10 people into one suite so that I am made to stay with a bunch of people making noise and having parties all night long but only paying $10 each. They trashed the place and it wasn t just one group. They weren t enforcing any of their own rules. There was so much trash from the guests I felt like I was staying at A Motel 6. Not a beautiful resort. And the only time the Security did anything was to harass me and my husband on our nightly walks because apparently it s really unusual for people to walk out there. I guess they re not used to anyone going outside the room after dark. They also said they were going to be contacting me the next day and they never did. I ll never stay at a Hilton again.
We were having great time even though the rooms were rather dated . . . until we went to the Point in Tyme restaurant/bar and were asked to not cheer so loud for our Dallas Cowboys. We were sitting at a bar and the people around us were having as much fun as we were. The manager Kathy asked us to keep it down because she said other guests were having dinner. No one around us was bothered by our cheering, in fact they were cheering with us. I was going to spend more money on the spa services but have decided that I will not give any more money to this hotel!!
Our stay was fantastic! Kind staff, comfortable room and beautiful pools. Loved Louisa ( server at the pool), Paul who brought us chairs down near the pool and Evan the bell man, we are thrilled! Will be back!!!
Great resort! This was our third stay in two separate trips to the Phoenix area. Rooms are comfortable, pools are great (there's many of them) and the food is good. If we are in the area again, I'm sure we'll stay here again.
Great Hilton resort. I wish the rooms were a bit more modern, but there is nothing wrong with them. Super good breakfast. Great pools and mountain walks around.
Parking is horrible and the shuttles arent always available. The rooms are outdated and crowded. Need a microwave and small fridge not a fully stocked mini fridge/bar.The pool was nice and the kids crafts were fun. The young people teaching the crafts were awesome. All the staff at the hotel went out of their way to be helpful and they very friendly.
This was an amazing hotel. The room was always clean, the employees were always willing to help, had smiles on their faces and always courteous. Very quiet in the rooms and around the property even though the resort was nearly full. The Point in Tyme restaurant was great food and outstanding service. Definitely can't wait to stay here again.
