My experience with this warranty company was horrible. I purchased a 4000.00 dollar warranty on my 2018 5th wheel and intended to get just a few things fixed on it 2 years into the warranty and was completely denied coverage on all items except the chairs that only needed new heating elements. My toilet, a simple septic hose storage cap, and a few small cosmetic items were all denied. Instead the company i purchased the 58000 dollar 5th wheel from wanted to try and charge me over 2500.00 dollars for all of these minor fixes. This warranty company is only after your money and will leave you scratching your head and wondering why you purchased the extended warranty. DO NOT PURCHASE A WARRANTY FROM THIS COMPANY. THIS WARRANTY COMPANY WILL NOT STAND BY THEIR PRODUCT OR SERVICES. PLEASE READ ALL REVIEWS AFTER MINE. YOU WILL BE SHOCKED!!!!

Worst warranty company I've ever dealt with. Been in auto repair for over 20 years, dealt with dozens of warranty companies. None of them are as frustrating, manipulative and down right shady as this company. Any consumer should not buy a warranty from them and all repair shops should not accept them. We no longer do.

As part of an auto repair shop, I see a lot of warranty work. We had a customer come in with a Subaru with a head gasket problem. Phoenix American did everything they could to avoid paying for repairs that were EXPLICITY COVERED in the customer's warranty. After they required that we send the heads to a specialty shop for measurement, they even tried to argue with the expert opinion that resulted. Only after constant pressure in writing and by phone by the customer and his family, us and EVEN THE DEALER WHO SOLD HIM THE VEHICLE did Phoenix American finally pay a portion of the cost of the job. The dealer was so embarrassed, he covered most of the rest of it himself. We have never dealt with such a bad warranty company. If anyone comes in with a warranty from Phoenix American, Wynn Warranty, or any of their other subsidiaries, we will send them elsewhere.

I own an auto repair shop and deal with third party warranty companies frequently. Having read all the other abysmal reviews of this company, I can say my experience with Phoenix American was the same. The original adjuster I dealt (Kenneth) with was exceptional and the girl who finally got us the payment was helpful (Natalia). The effort it took in between to get payment left me feeling that the primary objective of this company was to - at best - delay payment as long as possible. I was told that every other fax and email I sent had not been received even though I had proof they were all delivered. I won't go on because you can read the other reviews.

The warranty i bought through this company will only cover the cost of the part that i can't buy. so i am out a fridge and the money i spent on the warranty. They have denied each claim I have submitted. One for a leak affecting the wet bay floor of my motorhome last year and today for the repair of a cracked coolant tank. After reading other reviews now, I guess I should have looked them up prior to paying them $8000.00 for a 5 year extended warranty. I feel ripped off! Buyer beware!

They refused a transmission repair and driveshaft replacement on a customers truck.

I would give zero stars if possible. I bought a car that came with a warranty from Phoenix American. After two weeks, the car was overheating on me, so I had it towed to a shop. It has been there for a MONTH because Phoenix keeps coming up with bs reasons to not cover some part or another. All the broken parts are listed to be covered under their warranty, and their own appraiser even came out and said they should cover it, but they are still fighting me on it. If you have a warranty from them, be prepared to get screwed over.

I am a mechanic shop owner that deals with warranty companies all the time. TAKE MY ADVICE, DON'T USE THEIR WARRANTY. My customer has their warranty plan through these guys and after 2 repairs the warranty told the customer and I to screw ourselves they're not paying for anything. THEY ARE A SCAM

They messed around two weeks having us get quotes and when the inspector showed up they turned down the claim because the Jeep had bigger than factory tires... like 2 sizes bigger... what a joke!! Anyway to get out of paying a claim! Now the customer is stuck with a Jeep tore apart and hrs of tear down and such that the company wanted..

Bought a used 2012 q5 from a dealer for the wife. We paid the extra for this insurance. At first I thought this was a godsend when the turbo (which was apparently shot when we bought it) malfunctioned and blew my engine. Pay the deductible and get it taken care of, right? WRONG...I m going on week 3 without a car, and I am currently just under 1000 dollars for labor that they refuse to cover, in order for them to finish this claim. The kicker is when I was connected to a rep named Alan...when I asked him to explain why they will not cover the labor for the work that they are demanding to be done, he told me that it is my problem and not the companies. I would give this place a half a star if I could.

NICE TO KNOW THEY CAN CHANGE THE AMOUNT THEY WILL PAY WITHOUT NOTIFICATION. WAS TOLD THEY WOULD PAY ONE DOLLAR AMOUNT AND WHEN PAYMENT INFO WAS RECIEVED WAS A LESSER DOLLAR AMOUNT. THEY CHANGED IT BASED ON INFO FROM THE WORK ORDER FAXED IN "AFTER" APPROVING AND WE BILLED CUSTOMER.

If you deal with this warranty company, you will be stuck with a huge out of pocket because they will weasel their way out of refunding you the money you paid to fix something that should have been covered by your warranty (3500$ Usd in my case). These people provide the worst customer service out of any company any I ve ever dealt with. If I could give a 0 star review I would. If I could get a refund of all the monthly fees I would in a heart beat. These people are despicable and only after your money. They do not care about their customers.

if I could give a zero star I would, worst warranty to company to deal with and zero help! denied a claim for a bad rear end for a seized ujoint on a truck with 49k miles!!!! yet the pinion bearing shattered!!!! after a week and having a conference call with the adjuster, the shop, the warranty rep, and myself and a hour on the phone and it was approved. now it's been 3 weeks since I tried to get my money back for a rental and there saying it's not a proper reciept!!!! from a dealership!!!!

I BOUGHT A WARRANTY FROM A DEALERSHIP ON A USED VEHICLE. THE DEALER TOLD ME IT WAS A BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY. ABOUT A YEAR AFTER PURCHASING THE VEHICLE, IT BEGAN HAVING PROBLEMS. I TOOK IT TO AN APPROVED AUTO GARAGE, AND THEY REASSURED ME THAT I HAD THE "GOOD WARRANTY." THEN AFTER THE REPAIRS WERE FINISHED, THE GARAGE CALLED SAYING I OWE OVER 500 DOLLARS. SO I CALLED THIS WARRANTY COMPANY AND THEY ASKED I FAX OVER ALL THE DOCUMENTS ABOUT THE REPAIRS. SO I DID, AND THEY TOLD ME ID BE RECEIVING A CHECK. SO 2 WEEKS LATER STILL NO CHECK, SO I CALLED THEM, AND THEY HAD NO PAPERWORK OR ANY INFO ON THE DOCUMENTS ID ALREADY FAXED AND WAS ALREADY TOLD ID BE RECEIVING A CHECK. SO I HAD TO REFAX EVERYTHING AGAIN. I'M NEVER BUYING A WARRANTY ON ANYTHING EVER AGAIN. THEY ARE SCAMS AND THEN WHEN IT COMES DOWN TO IT, THEY DON'T WANT TO PAY FOR ANY OF THE REASONS THAT THE CONSUMER HAS FOR BUYING THE WARRANTY IN THE FIRST PLACE! Covered $2,500 out of my $3,000 transmission rebuild for my Ford Escape. I have the Valuecare+ warranty so I knew they would cover a majority of the repair. The service manager at the transmission shop called the warranty company, submitted a work order, and it was approved the next day. The only call I made to this company was to verify my contract details and then relay that information to the manager at the shop. There is a lot of fine print so I would look over it and then have the mechanic do all the talking... but I maintained my car normally and it wasn't a problem.

I have extensive experience working with aftermark...

I have extensive experience working with aftermarket warranty providers and work for a repair shop with hundreds of 5-star Google reviews. We have dealt with Phoenix and without question they are the worse we have experienced. It was one hoop after another to claim approved - They said one thing and then all of a sudden additional inspection / tear down was required after reporting findings as now that was not enough. Once we were able to get approval and the repair completed, more hoops to jump through to receive payment. If you are a shop reading this - RUN AWAY - no matter the service you think will be approved it is not worth any amount of money to deal with these greasy cheats. Every person and department I have spoke with is expertly trained to deny all claims / accountability and fabricate INSANE requirements not stated in the customer service contract. If you are a customer reading this I hope you haven't already purchased a contract, I truly hope. If you HAVE purchased one, I sympathize with you as you are probably reading this because you are in the middle of an awful transaction - It will only get worse.

Nothing but hostility, arrogance, ineptitude and pure sleaze. There was not one person able to think. They lie with ease, and apologize even easier, only to lie again. This is by far the worst warranty company I ve ever had to deal with. I m a service manager for a reputable, well established garage that s been in business for more than 20 years. I ve successfully worked with numerous warranty companies in my time in this industry, but have never dealt with one that s been as big of a headache as this organization. They made me jump through several unnecessary hoops throughout my time dealing with them, but most importantly did not provide necessary information upfront failing to inform me that they require any used transmissions that are used in covered repairs to come with 12 month/12,000 mile warranties. In fact, I didn t learn of this requirement until after the job was already completed and submitted for payment. When I made them aware that the adjuster never mentioned anything about the transmission that we used needing a warranty, they flat out told me that there s no way the adjuster would have failed to tell me that and refused to let me listen to any of our recorded phone conversations. After several more phone conversations, and much aggravation, they finally conceded that they assumed, based on our supplier, that the transmission came with a year warranty and offered to send us a different transmission. Again, all this was already after we received authorization to and had completed the job. In order to avoid wasting labor, I contacted our supplier who, due to our well established relationship, graciously agreed to add a 12 month warranty to the transmission, that we had already purchased and installed, for an extra cost that the warranty company would also eventually refuse to pay. I will say that we did finally receive a barebones payment for the supposedly covered repair that we performed, but it was nowhere near worth the time and aggravation that this warranty company caused me or my employer. The experience was so frustrating that I ll unfortunately be turning away any customers who come here for any warranty work covered by this company in the future.

I have had Phoenix American warranty now for three...

I have had Phoenix American warranty now for three years. In that three years I have had about four claims and with the exception of one I end up paying as much if not more than they do! This last claim was an air leak in my motorhome. The air controls the ride height and level of the coach, it levels the coach and it has air brakes so potentially a fatal issue with 60,000 lbs rolling down the road.

I took it in to a facility and they were allowed 1 hour to diagnose the problem. The air system has many components and to find leaks can take hours and hours, not a couple! They found the leak and American phoenix picked up 1200.00 and my bill due after they paid the claim was 1100.00. I paid it and picked up the coach on a Wednesday and Thursday we left on a trip. Within a few miles I noticed that I had the same problem and the rear air was only reading 90 PSI. We took our trip and I checked the front and rear gauge every 12 hours to note the reading without starting the coach. In two days the front air still read about 90 PSI where the rear gauge went to 0 so I knew we still had a leak. We finished our trip and came home Sunday and I dropped the coach back at the repair facility on Tuesday. We drove a whopping 200 miles! Now they went back through the coach and spent 10 hours and found another leak. Phoenix American paid about 300.00 less 100.00 deductible so they paid the shop about 200.00. I called American Phoenix and long story short talked to the Customer Service Manger ( Emily Martinez )after attempting to call for a week (She is never there and leaves at 4) and explained the situation and that I felt I should not have another deductible. She explained that I should not be upset with them but with my repair facility because they did not properly diagnose the system and yet they only allow about an hour diag for each repair! This company is a joke. They got out of my first claim which was about 2500.00 on a technicality because it was not called in with the proper mileage and was repaired so when we went back to collect they said they would not pay it because the mileage was originally called in wrong. I paid thousands of dollars for the warranty with a 5 year unlimited miles with a 100.00 deductible. I have had 4 occasions to use the warranty (5 if you count the second trip back on this repair) so I should be out only 400.00 and yet I am out over 4,000.00 out of pocket

Find another warranty company or put the money you would spend in the bank and just pay for your own repairs!

One of the WORST warranty companies I've ever dealt with. I work in the auto repair business and deal with warranty companies nearly every day. Phoenix American Warranty is a total joke. After authorizing the repair of a vehicle, I faxed in the invoice for payment. This company then proceeded to try and not pay me. They want specific wording on repairs in hopes to con you into repairing the vehicle past allotted warranty time. They will send you used parts, or have you band aid a repair instead of fixing it the correct way then expect you to offer an unlimited mileage warranty on said repairs. I would give these clowns ZERO stars if you would let me. MY SHOP WILL NO LONGER ACCEPT THIS WARRANTY PLAN DUE TO THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE EXPERIENCED IN YEARS!

Amazing company! I read some of the reviews and there are several people on here that have no compliments in any of their reviews, just complaints. You have to know that not ever part on the car is covered going into this. They give you a list of what's covered so everyone is clearly in the know. Give them a chance, they save people like me lots of money. I don't have $5000 for a new engine.

Their customer service reps, and I've talked to 4 or 5 different ones, all are very matter of fact, this is what your contract says. They ha e no desire to try to help, at all.

This place has really effected me in such a negative way. I just financed a vehicle 41 days ago and the engine seized on me while driving. I get it towed to a repair shop and give them all of my warranty information. This company wanted me to authorize the shop to remove my valve cover. I indeed said yes. Now my auto shop diagnosed the problem and we all know what s wrong. But this warranty company now wants me to authorize that the auto shop takes my entire motors out to see why it happened how it happened etc to see if it s covered. We re talking about 13 hrs of labor that will be out of my pocket if the problem is not covered. The warranty company also will not tell me the value of my vehicle. In which in the fine print of the contract says they will not exceed the valued price of the vehicle as right then and there. If the car engine is shot it will impact the value. I m very frustrated and don t know what to do. They are no help and will not send out anyone until the motor is out of the vehicle.
