Cold calling craigslist ads pretending to be an interested customer seems like a pretty desperate reach to get customers in the door....Edit.. Yes your sales associate was pretending. He called did not announce who he was, asked ridiculous questions and kept me on the phone for close to 10 minutes before saying "like I said my name is shoelicker from paramount"... How many fake reviews can you guys give yourself?
We are now the proud owners of a 2019 Sparkling Silver Sorento L that we purchased from Paramount Kia of Hickory. We had been shopping on their website & saw what we wanted from their inventory. We were going to wait until Fall to make this purchase but decided to go now since Kia was offering $3000 rebate. They showed 4 online but when we got there. The salesman Cody was told that they were sold already. But Cody persisted looking and found the one that we wanted after all. And he spent pretty much his whole day helping us. It was great to work with Cody & Colton who handles the finance offerings. We left as happy customers with a positive experience at Paramount Kia.
I had a really bad situation, but Paramount reached out to me and made the wrong right. They truly do care about helping people any way they can. They listened to all my concerns, helped me with all my questions, and put me in a new car when NO ONE ELSE WOULD! Took car in for back hutch door not staying up. Was told didn't have the part would call and let me know what time to come in haven't heard from them also having problems with a quiver in the motor they had worked on it twice before now the man is saying he don't know what's wrong with it and they had several complaints from others regarding this problem.apparently not interested in fixing it so I asked him what I was to do he stated he don't know. So I guess I need to call Kia office manager and talk with them

Paramount Kia did a great job in making purchasing a vehicle a good experience for me and my granddaughter. We went online to their website to look at the vehicles they had to offer & found a car that seemed interesting. We contacted the dealership via the website & was promptly called the next morning. Danny Hunt set up an appointment for us and was really helpful in assisting us when we arrived. He showed us the 2015 models and explained the benefits of purchasing a new car. However, my granddaughter was interested in a particular car she had looked at and decided it was "the car" for her. She decided on a 2013 Kia Rio which fit her budget at a good price. The entire process went smoothly and I felt we were treated with respect in regards to our wishes & the things that were important in our decision. I would recommend Paramount Kia in Hickory, NC & especially Danny Hunt.
My experience buying a car from my salesman Jerry Conning was one of the best I have ever had! He took his time to explain every aspect of the deal and even delivered the car to me at work. My husband and I went to Paramount to see if we could find a car that satisfied our needs. Phil was great, he let us get in many different styles of cars to see if we could find a good fit without pressuring us into any specific model. Seeing that we were having trouble finding a good fit, he recommended the Soul, thinking it would work for us. He told us about the great safety ratings that were important to us. When I started driving it, we fell in love with it. We even had a woman just 10 minutes after leaving the dealership, asked if we liked the Soul since she was thinking about buying one.
Our experience with Chris and Paramount Kia has been quite satisfactory. We got a 2014 Sorento last week and took it back in this morning for detailing and they did a great job quickly. Would recommend them to all our friends and family.

All was good except the recall parts were the wrong color. They are ordering some more along with some other parts that are covered under warranty. Very friendly and professional.
I was asked to leave a review of my experience from a friendly email from this dealer, "Our business model is designed to eliminate much of the hassle traditionally associated with car sales. Hopefully, we have lived up to that promise which was to deliver you with a simple, honest, and hassle free vehicle purchase experience."
I would not agree that they fulfilled on their business model based on the above, especially related to the hassle free part.
It took me 5 hours to buy my car.
The vast amount of this time was me sitting around waiting, patiently. Luckily I brought my computer with me and got a fair amount of work done (they have wifi).
The only issue with the car (which is a certified pre-owned) had a fair amount of road noise associated with it. It took them a while to diagnose this cause which was with the tread on the rear tires was worn down. By the time I got to talk to someone about fixing this issue the service center had already closed (so as they couldn t fix it there) and I was already 3-4 hours into this experience plus my 1 hour drive up to Hickory from my home in Charlotte so I guess I was already all-in at this point so why not just continue to push through this hassle free experience.
My presumption with driving up to Hickory and buying a certified pre-owner car (outside of the KIA 100k warranty) was that the car was going to be free of any issues whatsoever, which I confirmed on the phone with Evan before driving up there.
I was able to negotiate down from the advertised price the cost to replace 2 tires plus a couple hundred more (for a total of $1k off of this price). However, when I got back to Charlotte I spent the better part of the next day driving to a couple different places to get an alignment (as I learned after the fact that I needed to get this before replacing the tires or the tires would just just get worn down like before) then the next day after that getting all 4 new tires (not just 2 that I was told by the dealer).
One thing that I really disliked was that I was told that I needed to sign a piece of paper titled Purchase Agreement however wasn t in fact a purchase agreement. I was like, Uhhhh, huh!? It seemed like the idea was to quickly move through this information and just get me moving to the next step, wherein I could finally talk with someone about the discounting the cost of the tires. The car didn t have a window sticker on it (which again I found odd) and the price amount on the purchase agreement (which again I was told wasn t really a purchase agreement) was different that the advertised price I found on Cargurus.com and confirmed with Evan on the phone beforehand.
Also, just a small thing, the first thing I was told to do when I arrived at the dealership was to move my car. I had parked in the back of the dealership in a parking slip which clearly read Customer . I was told to park in one of the handicapped parking spots up front. I didn t really want to do that but whatever. Perhaps because I had an old beater car (2007 Honda Element with 200k miles) maybe they thought they weren t going to get a lot of money out of me??
I was rest assured that all the small hiccups and what not along the way were just accidental and inconsequential. When I step back and look at them all combined together, they seem more like they were orchestrated to confuse and kind of bother me all the while just dragging out the process longer for the benefit of the dealership. Perhaps though it is a bit disingenuous to think you would get hassle free from any car dealership.
With said though and in closing, I was treated with politeness and got plenty of sir s and niceties and bottled water. After investing a solid half a day after purchasing this car, in addition to the extra 2 hours driving there and back plus the 5 hours at the dealership, plus another $600 out of my pocket for an alignment and 4 new tires, I am happy to say that the car is now noise free and I finally feel satisfied although perhaps as you can tell from this Google review perhaps a bit jaded.
Sales man actually yelled at me when we walked away the first time, to talk it over. We came back after talking about it and got the car. They offered us and extend warranty for $2 a month. When we got the final bill from the bank we were actually paying $4,000 for the extend warranty. I canceled it and it took them two weeks before even filing the paper work to cancel it. I lost the $300 dollars in taxes I was charged for the warranty. Also, found out I paid well over what I should have, which was my fault for falling in love with the car. The service department was very helpful with some issues I had later on though.
WORSE PART.. I few months after getting the car I applied for a home loan, and found out the way they applied for my financing was wrong, and I got TWENTY EIGHT INQUIRES ON MY CREDIT REPORT!!!!

Good experience with this dealership, details had been worked out the previous day and a appointment was made to look at a used car I saw online. We had a 3 hour drive and they called to confirm appointment while we were in route. Upon arrival everyone was helpful and knowledgeable. I would recommend doing business with them and would do my own business with them again.
Michael was a great salesman and was extremely helpful. I was not familiar w/ Kia s at all well now my mind is at ease and I will never own a different vehicle. I located the car I wanted online, stopped in to drive it, decided it s the one I wanted. Went into negotiate, it had several spots that needed touch ups and signed the we owe with the instructions they would be taken care of. While this took longer than expected ultimately they resolved the issues and I m satisfied with the work and overall experience.
My sales person David Hoover helped me through the process, financing was a pleasant and quick experience, and the service folks have been spectacular. I recommend them.
A little over a year ago we were looking at leasing my 3rd Kia, and after bad experiences at 2 other Kia dealerships, ended up at Paramount and had the best experience. Everything was upfront, no bait and switch. Had another good experience this past week when we decided to buy out my lease as leasing no longer made sense. It was easy and relatively quick. I would recommend Paramount and plan to go back there when I decide to buy my next Kia.

Michael Griffin was fantastic! He did not give up till he found the Sorento I wanted. He found the one, had not even come off the truck from kia, had it pulled off and had it serviced ready for us to drive home that day.
I bought a car in January, had an issue with the cd player and they were going to call me to repair it. After 3 months of calling once a week to see when they wanted the car, they would just say they haven't found a replacement. 8 months later still not done, now the sales rep quit and nobody knows anything about it. Wanted the transmission fluid checked and wanted $90 just to check, took it to 1st place ford and they did it free of charge....a place I didn't even buy the car from. Plus just got a check 3 days ago because the over charged me when I bought the car.
I am usually very nervous going to dealerships. Kia is the exception. When I came onto the lot, no one rushed to my vehicle or acted like a wolf after their prey. I was able to walk in and someone greeted me. Andrew was my sales person and not once did he push anything onto my plate. I explained the situation and budget and he done everything in his power to meet all of my requests even down to the vehicle. An SUV was out of my price range so I was going to settle for a car but when a small SUV came in between him and the finance manager they have made it possible to get the vehicle I love. I recommend everyone to go by Kia and purchase a vehicle! I really enjoyed the experience.
My husband and I (yes, my husband is Jeremy the google user) bought a car late in October 2012, a 2013 Kia Forte, the salesman was Patrick Butler. They say you learn from your mistakes and that we have! Mr.Butler was nice enough, however he kept reminding us to make sure we did a survey and rate everything a "10.," if not, he wouldn't get his bonus. ?? I thought that was kinda pushy and unprofessional, but like him, we have children and know that every penny counts. During the process we did feel rushed, and I will give that it was in the evening on a weekday when we got there due to our schedules. However, we were not given hardly any choices when it came to buying. At the time we only had one vehicle and it was acting up, as I had just started a new travel assignment (I'm a nurse), it was crucial that we found a car immediately. We were hesitant about buying another used vehicle, but with our credit score, we didn't think we could get approved for a new one. However, Kia pulled some "magic," and I signed papers and we took the vehicle home. But, our happiness was short lived when we got several messages from the dealership a week later, that we either needed a co-signer, a trade-in, or needed to put more money down because our financing fell through. Now, when we first went there we were very adamant that we could only put so much down, were not trading in our other vehicle and didn't really think we had anyone, nor did we want to ask anyone to co-sign. So like, a previous poster mentioned, imagine driving this new car for a week and then suddenly have to explain why you no longer have it? So, my wonderful mother agreed to co-sign, and on November 8th, 2012 we went back in to sign the 'paperwork.' Now, something that held me back and almost gave me pause (boy do I wish I had paid more attention now), was the finance person asking me if I had brought the original contract. ???? !!! (red flags should be here). Now, being that I had worked all day, had over an hour drive from work and missed my kids, my only thought was to sign whatever line this 'gentleman' pointed too. Fast forward a few weeks later, when getting my registration/sticker for this Kia I realize that my mothers name is printed first and not mine? You know why? Because they had me come back in and CO-SIGN for my own damn car!!!!!! Yes, that's right, my mom is the BUYER! Because I did not pay attention to what was happening! So people. the lesson is this, these people at this dealership, are only there for one thing and one thing only, the bottom dollar. Make sure you read everything!! Funny thing is, this still ticks me off to this day! Ya know why, because I let the pressure of the sale, and the stress of not having a reliable vehicle make me weak and stupid, and they took advantage. Thinking over this tonight as I went through some paperwork, I still have the original contract that only I signed on 10/27/12 and looking at the new contract dated on 11/08/2012 there is a Big inconsistency.....the odometer reading was never changed on the new contract. How does one buy a vehicle, drive it to work and the mileage be 0 over a weeks time? Oh and the lien holder was the same on both contracts, so how did they approve it twice!!?? hmmmm.... If I could rate Kia Paramount of Hickory a big fat ZERO I would.

What a dramatic difference working with Paramount over other regional Kia dealers. After wasting a lot of time with Keffer Kia (Mooresville) and Kia of Gastonia, Paramount Kia (Hickory) was a refreshing surprise. They didn t play games with the numbers and were willing to write up the deal before we made the long drive. Unlike those other previously mentioned dealers, the sales price didn t change after we showed up. Eli (our sales guy) even stayed a hour past closing time to show us all the features of the Telluride we just purchased. The only thing I didn t care for was the final sales pitch at the end to add things like extended warranty and Gap insurance. I m ok with them asking... I should only have say no once. Overall great experience.

The dealership she bought it from basically said it s your problem now. Kia not only was very nice to her but replaced her engine and got her took care of. I must admit that my sales experience with Lizzy was second to none. Definitely deserving of five stars. However, I did have some issues. To start with I purchased my 2017 Kia Sportage on a rainy day,(5-19-2017). I understand that the dealership cleans/details your new car before you leave with it. This couldn't happen because of the heavy rain that day, of which I was accepting of and fine with. So I drive my new Sportage home to show it off. On the way the storm breaks and the sun begins to shine. While admiring my car in the driveway I discover adhesive/glue spots throughout the body and a chip and crack in the paint on the corner of the hood. Also swirl scratches in the paint and on the head and tail light lens. This damaged appeared to be from a course wiping cloth, possibly paper towel product. Needless to say I call the dealership and am instructed to return immediately. I know car dealerships work with lots of customers buying lots of cars. So I fully understand how these issues can and do slip through directly to the customer. In closing let me say that I believe Kia has some of the best cars on the road today, I also own a 2016 Soul (great driving/riding car). With all I've said in this review let me add that Paramount Kia is a great place to buy a car. Their people are top notch......really. I just fell into a set of circumstances that shoulda coulda been avoided. Thanks UPDATE: Todays date, 06-07-2017. As I have previously stated, the staff at Paramount Kia Hickory is top notch. I've had the pleasure of dealing personally with Mr. Jason Greene, (Service Manager) and Mr. Teudi Flores, (Sales Manager) to name a couple. These gentlemen have personally taken on my concerns pertaining to my new Kia Sportage. Today I went to the dealership to pick up my car. It looks fantastic. However, Mr. Greene wasn't quite satisfied and wanted to do a bit more buffing and polishing on my car. I feel confident that; if asked these gentlemen would literally bend over backwards to insure that their customers have a pleasant buying experience. This adds to my testament that, not only are Kia brand cars fantastic but they (the cars) have great people selling them. We personally had a very good experience. I first dealt through internet sales with Michael Blackwood on the phone and it was very professional and provided straight forward information. However, when we arrived Michael had an unexpected customer come in so without us knowing a gentleman by the name of David Hoover greeted us at the door and asked if I was Thomas Reed. David had a very coming presence about him and great smile. My wife and I were very at ease in dealing with David. It is nice when you can meet people and get to know them a little bit because a great connection is made. We were able to have very open dialogue that had substance. It wasn't all about the sale. I just purchased a 2019 Optima and our sales representative David Hoover was great to work with. Went to Paramount KIA of Hickory to look at a used Hyundai Genesis. I was met by Jordan Cruz he was polite and informative. He had excellent knowledge of the car and took his time to show me all the options and accessories of the car. Me and my finance was able to test drive the car with as much time as we need. When we arrived back at paramount we went over all the details of what was needed to purchase the car including bringing my car back for trade. We were able to break down all the numbers for the cars and made an advanced appointment to bring my car back. I was thoroughly pleased with my experience at paramount. The service is a little off but the staff id's real friendly. I don't think if they are going to have to keep your car another day that you who know nothing and its getting to be 5pm they need to be calling you not you calling them and then can't get your service rep you get the Secretary which then you have to leave a message by the time you find out and you need a car and you are 30mins away and you don't get a car hopefully today time will tell!!! I love my Kia but..............
I had a great experience on Friday at Kia Paramount in Hickory. Eli was a big help to me as he went over and beyond to set my new car up with my iPhone pairing to my Bluetooth and showed me how to use all of the control features. He even set up my radio to the station that I like. Driving is now a breeze! I love this car, it fits me like a glove. I recommend anyone who is on the market for a car to visit Kia Paramount in Hickory. Don t forget to ask for Eli Reese for the best costumer service in town!
This is my place of business to go to for my car needs and repairs. As always, the sales people were awesome. They were courteous, very knowledgeable of information about the car I was interested in that day. Although I went in just to refinance my present car, they had my best interest in mind -- a new care with a lower payment.
