That back office is there for a reason. Still got what I wanted so that's what counts. Profit is not an ugly word. Gouging is. Be careful, and ready. Know your interest rate.

Top notch establishment. Our sales person Michael Blackwood was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and demonstrating of all the new Kia Sorento SE AWD features. Michael made the buying process our best ever, he worked hard to get us the price needed which allowed us to drive home with a new Sorento that had exceeded our expectations with all the bells and whistles. We had already test drove similar SUV's at other competitors Subaru, Toyota & Ford and were making our final choice. I would recommend that anyone looking for a top notch dealership and outstanding customer service experience then get to Paramount Kia of Hickory and make sure Michael Blackwood is your next sales person for a new or used vehicle .

I have tried to contact the manager Dave Estes for over a month. He still has not responded to my emails. As a repeat customer of the Paramount Auto Group, I was disappointed at how the KIA group handled our transaction. We were told that we could get their pricing to change out the leather seats in our car to another color by a vendor they use in the Hickory area. Then we found out this vendor was not in Hickory, but over 2 hours away. When we looked at the reviews of this vendor, they were poor and past customers were unhappy with the quality of their work. If I would have known this, I would have not bought the car I did. The finance manager, Evan, was very pushy to get the paperwork signed ASAP, because he thought he would probably lose a sale. I wish now that I would have followed my instincts and walked away from the deal. We have purchased 7 cars from the Paramount group in the last 15 years. This will probably be my last! I should have stuck with Hyundai. Our salesperson, Jon Arrowood, was very helpful and honest. Too bad the managers on the Kia side do not share th same work ethics and moral values as Jon does.

Best place to service your vehicle. I have been a kia owner for over one and a half years. Each time I feel respected, welcomed and informed on each step of the process. Never used the shuttle service but prefer to wait. The reception area is clean, free wifi, tv, well stocked with coffee water and snacks. The employees are so nice. I would recommend the service dept to any one. A+++++ service from start to finish

I have a 2018 Kia Soul purchased 2/13/18, it's our 3rd one purchased from the Hickory, NC dealership. The sales process was great and I purchased the Ultra Care package as well. This week I went to online service dept scheduling and it wouldn't give me any available dates, not for this week or next. I work in Hickory but live 30 miles away and I'm going out of town so I left work a little early and took my car over. Online and on the door it says their service department closes at 6pm. It was almost 5pm and I was told that they wouldn't do it because it's too late. It never takes them longer than a half-hour to change the oil so I was confused as to why they couldn't provide the service. I explained I was going out of town so I was wanting to get it done. The only offer I got was to make an appointment to come back at a later date. A statement is not visible on their door or website informing customers that after 4:30pm they won't provide services. I know for a fact that the sales staff wouldn't turn someone away an hour before closing, so once the vehicles are sold we should still be treated with the same courtesy. I'm just disappointed in the service team there.

I just bought a 2021 Kia Seltos SX Turbo AWD, brand new. I love my car so much. Cody McRary, my salesman, did an amazing job at giving me information on any car I asked about. I loved how he let me pick for myself and didn t push anything on me regarding my purchase. He was super helpful with everything and has an awesome personality. Thank you so much, Cody! Asheville. Sticker price padding adds to purchase hassle.
Delivery had to be rescheduled to repair overlooked paint scratch, locate selected accessories and do omitted cleaning.
Car sat 2 months in showroom but we were not told tires would have flat spot until I made a return trip thinking they needed to be rebalanced.

There were a couple of small problems with the car after I bought it and Paramount Kia took care of everything without any hassle and gave me a loaner while they completed the work. Went by myself initially and told the salesman, Gary Fesmire, what my wife and I were looking for. They had exactly what we were wanting on the lot. Brought my wife back later that afternoon and Gary had the car we were interested in up front, cleaned up and ready for us to test drive. From there the purchase process went very smooth and we never felt rushed or pressured into anything. Overall a great experience.

I had a great experience at Paramount Kia! I had been to numerous other dealerships before finally coming to Paramount Kia. Of all the places I had looked I received the best overall service here! I was searching for my first car and had a smaller budget to work with. Alex Cochran helped us in the looking/ buying process. When we arrived we told him my budget and he showed us the available cars within that range. He was very friendly and enthusiastic about the whole process and we took a few cars for a test drive. Even through my indecisiveness he stayed in good spirits. Unlike the other dealerships,( being a first time car buyer), I did not feel pressured or looked down upon while walking through the lot here. When I found a car I really liked we went inside to his office and ran some numbers. Through this whole process he was super nice and even bought us some drinks! Alex did everything he could to get us the best deal possible! The sales manager Teudi Flores also introduced himself and said he would be happy to help us in any way he could. The deal we got was amazing! I ended up getting a 2007 Kia Spectra. I love my new car! Thanks again Alex and all the friendly staff at Paramount Kia! I will definitely be recommending this dealership to friends/family!

After battling with another Kia dealership in Salisbury, I was determined to get another Kia (since I had an Optima and liked it). I found several online, but after looking at them, I wasn't as impressed and they didn't quite fit my budget. My dad and I stumbled upon a Ford Focus, I test drove it and fell in love. Chris was amazing with the whole process and even stayed after hours to help me, as well as Evan (as this was my first car from a dealer). Everything was finalized that night and I drove my car home! It was a great first experience compared to some other dealerships and everyone was so nice and welcoming! When I pay my Focus off, I will most likely buy another car from there. I highly recommend this place and Chris as well!

This is the friendliest and most helpful car dealership I have ever been too. Patrick was so helpful and answered all of our questions. We could not have asked for anyone more helpful. I had mentioned that I wanted a small SUV for going on trips and carrying my sports equipment. I like to golf and play tennis and I needed something to take luggage to go on trips Soon as Jim showed me the Kia Sportage I new this was the vehicle for me.

We searched online for a car and found one at Paramount that we really wanted. When we got there, the car had been sold just the night before. We were disappointed, but the salesman was determined to find us something we would like. He sat down with us and talked to us about what we needed and really got a sense of who we were. He didn't try to sell us on something just because it was available. He really worked with us.

When we found the one we wanted, we had an easy enough time doing the paperwork. I recommend bringing documentation with you if you want to take a car home the same day though! They needed check stubs and verification of address to apply for financing. The Financing department was very helpful in explaining the loan and our expectations. Our interest rate was higher than expected, but we are first time car buyers with no money down. We drove home in our car the same day even though they still need one check stub from my husband!

We have lower credit scores and still got approved for a loan! We were very excited about getting approved and being able to drive home. The car we got was absolutely perfect, even though it was one model year old. It came with a factory warranty still valid, and they did a full detail inside and out before we left. The whole experience was pain free and very relaxed.

A few notes: Be prepared to be there all day if you go on the weekend. We were there for four hours total!!!! Most of the time was spent waiting on the bank to approve/deny us. Leave the kids at home. We have a three year old and I did not expect to be there so long. There is NOTHING for kids to do there, and he was extremely bored. He ended up running all over the place for several hours, and the salesman did give him a balloon from a car, which helped for a little while. There are not "customer refreshments" short of coffee and water. I was a little disappointed in this, considering how long we were there.

SHORT VERSION: Great service, friendly staff, easy process, but a long wait on the weekends and no entertainment/good refreshments.

My husband and I were comparing 3 models of the Kia Sorento. We went to Paramount Kia and Randy Rosenbalm helped us through the process. Randy was friendly and so knowledgeable about each model. Even after purchasing our 2017 Kia Sorento (of which Apple CarPlay was not installed) Randy went out of his way to figure out how to install it before we drove off the lot that day. Sometimes service is fast...sometimes it's not . Update 7.22.17- Bought Kia Soul here in April. Was a great ,low pressure experience. This makes our 2nd car we've purchased here. We always have them serviced here also. We know the service team is well trained and professional. They can be slow sometimes but quality is top notch.

Didn't even get a chance to buy a vehicle. I told the salesman I was leaving work early to come look at a vehicle, and he even confirmed it with me that I would be there. And I got halfway into my hour and a half drive when he told me that it was sold. I lost time at work, and drove 40 miles just for them to sell it out from under me. I understand requiring a deposit, but at least dont make me waste my time.

Just the same thing as most car dealers. They want to check your credit right after the test drive. The car we went to drive could not be turned off because the battery was dead.
