Paramount Kia Review

We recently bought a KIA LX from Paramount Kia of Hickory. We want to thank Cathy Rivas for making us feel comfortable and not pressuring us into a vehicle that we did not want. She simply gave us our options, then gave us privacy to allow us to make the best possible decision for ourselves ! We were very impressed with her service, as well as the service from the financial dept. and service dept. Buying a car can be stressful and unpleasant, and I can honestly say this was a very smooth and positive experience! I will recommend Paramount Kia of Hickory to friends and family!

I had a positive experience with PK of Hickory and when I purchased the process was relatively quick and stress free. In particular, I appreciate the rep's attention to detail--Eli stayed in touch with me for a couple months about possible cars that fit the criteria of what I wanted. When that car finally came along, we had already established some of the details that made the actual purchase very efficient. No pressure environment, folks that know their product, courteous and detail-oriented.

Took my neighbor up there to have her car service. They repaired it in the time they promised. Also charged her the same amount they quoted her.

I just love my new Kia Soul- Plus Model. Close friends of mine had recently purchased a Kia Soul- Plus Model. They told me how much they were enjoying their new car. I was able to see the car on Thanksgiving Day. They showed my family the safety features, the audio upgrade package, and discussed the gas savings. I later had the opportunity to go for a test drive, and meet a cousin in the process! The sales representative that I had been referred to was no longer at the dealership, so I had to see another representative, Jim Richardson. He was very helpful in explaining the safety features, the audio upgrade package, and the fuel savings. During the test drive, I was able to see how easily the car handles and how comfortably it rides. The Soul is a great car with a four-star overall safety-rating. It is also rated high in quality. My experience at the dealership was very pleasant. The staff members were friendly and courteous. I was not pressured to make a purchase. The Kia Soul is a good value for the price. I would absolutely recommend this dealership to anyone. Please tell them I sent you!

GO TO PARAMOUNT KIA...YOU CAN NOT GO WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was in the market for a new truck and knew up front that this dealership was part of the Ford dealership that would have the type of truck I was looking for. I looked online at Paramount KIA, since it was closer, and sure enough, my truck was on the lot, and at a little lower price than I had seen.."down the street" at the, I won't mention their name, Ford Dealership here in Hickory. I was able to use the online chat feature and talked to Phil Philyaw, a very professional sales associate at Paramount Kia. We chatted back and fourth for a little bit and he told me to bring in my trade, take a test drive and see where we ended up at with the numbers. I did just that and was able to buy the truck the next day. Now, here is the even better part. After only owning the truck for less than a day, the check engine light came on, or so I thought. I immediately sent a text to Phil letting him know. Phil text me back and assured me not to worry, they would take care of it and he would notify his Service Manager. Within 15 minutes, Phil text me back and said it was not the check engine light, but a light to let me know the motor, diesel, was in a re gen state. That is basically where it is cleaning itself out. I was almost embarrassed, but pressed on. My experience was nothing but great with everyone I dealt with at Paramount KIA.

My experience with Paramount Kia was mixed but I am going to give them 4 out of 5 because of Randy Pennell.

I scheduled a test drive for a 2014 Forte because I wanted to upgrade from an aging Suzuki Forenza that had a horrible interest rate. When I came in to the dealership I spoke with the front desk and was directed to Cathy Rivas. I told her I was there for a test drive and I am assuming this happens often, people just test driving to get a gift card, but I was there to buy. Anyway, she said, "Oh it's fine I can just get you the card." I told her, "No, I don't think you understand. I want to BUY a car. Not just drive one for fun."

I was disappointed that her attitude changed based on that. Whether I am there to buy a car or not, I am a potential sale!

I drove both a Rio and a Forte that day, more than one Forte. I liked the car. It rode how I wanted, handled well, etc.

Randy was why I purchased the car, he worked his magic and got me in to a car I liked for a reasonable price. I was not happy with the finance manager who tried to offer me a higher interest rate than what they could do. I understand haggling but it's interesting how magically your interest rate can drop if you tell them no.

I walked out that day and ignored a few phone calls. I wasn't happy with my treatment. Still, I asked to speak with Randy once I did finally pick up and again he made me feel better about the purchase. So I cam and got my new car.

Story doesn't end there. I came to the lot, switched out the few things I had and then took the keys from Cathy and drove home. When I got home I opened my glove compartment to take the second key out and when I opened the owners manual it was for an Optima. So was the key. Joy ride? I considered it.

Cathy called me about two hours later apologizing about it. So I took the book and key back to them expecting a swift exchange and I would be on my way. I waited almost fifteen minutes for someone. I even looked directly at Cathy to let her know I was there.

My experience at Paramount Kia was not the best. Randy is the saving grace. My rating is for him, not the dealership.

I go back on Saturday to have my first service. In a way, I wonder how long I'll wait.

I am very pleased with my overall experience at Paramount Kia. My sales person, Nicholas Thomas, did an excellent job of understanding what my needs were and setting me up with the correct vehicle!!!
All the folks were very nice and professional!!!

We were very pleased with our first experience with Paramount KIA. Although production delays due to COVID-19 were challenging, Eli was excellent in keeping us up to date. He is a true professional, knowledgeable and extremely kind. Colton made the business part of the sale very efficient. He was also very professional and kind.

Half of the sales people act like you're their therapist. After two days of getting everything finalized to buy a new car we spent 6 hours listening to 2 sales people lay out their whole life stories and all their relationship problems. See a shrink if you got that many issues!

He also just made sure I was taken care of with the car wash and helped with my trade-in. Colton helped me with my loan and he was willing to answer any questions I had and sit there as long as needed.

Before I went to the dealership I had already researched online exactly what I was looking for with the right price and found it there. I was excited to go check it out, test drive and was praying everything would simply fall right into place with ease. It did the minute my husband and I met Gary Fesmire. He was so easing going, made us feel comfortable during the test drive. He was so great to work with, great personality that was genuine, no pressure and the deal all came together. Gary didn't try to show us any other vehicle, which I made notice of. Meant a lot to me. Sales manager Dave Estes willingly worked with us and accepted our Trade-in at a price we could agree on, no need to worry about the hassle of making a private sale later. The car i had at the time was broke down. Nick Thomas offered to come and pick my husband and I up on Friday and never came or called. I then called to see what happened and was given a list of excuses. So another appointment was CONFIRMED for Monday at 9am by Leeann. Again no call no show. I call and Leeann says I NEVER CONFIRMED. I have a recorded conversation of her confirming. So I believe if I'm having this much trouble when Nick offered to come get us how much trouble would i have if I was to get a car there?

They called me in for a few recalls. I told them I had a Drs appointment and they assured me everything was fine. The shuttle would take me to and from. I called them to let them know my Drs appointment was over. Here I sit now still waiting over an hour for them to pick me back up. The Drs office is literally 8 mins away from the dealership. I called 3 times, on the the third and final call they sent the cleaning guy to pick me up. He s finally here, 1 hr and 15 mins later..

Now to add more, the cleaning guy doesn t speak.. at least not to my wife and I.

Nick was an amazing sales person. He bent over backwards to make my car buying experience smooth and painless. I also want to Thank Cathy in customer service for getting me set up with Nick. The whole experience was great.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to ALL of the paramount team and my sales lady Cathy Rivas for helping me find my 2015 Honda CR-V. I was a little skeptical going in because of the interior of the car was not what I wanted at all and Cathy helped me get exactly what I wanted. She was so patient with me from the beginning she told me all about how I could get leather and she sure delivered on that! They set me up with a car while mine was getting the seats changed out and made it super easy and convenient for me to continue with daily life stuff going on. I was met by salesperson Justin Crowe and I have nothing but high praise for the polite and professional way we were treated by him and everyone I came in contact with. Good environment . I will admit there have been recalls: some major, some inconveniences, and yet and still they are willing to look into the problems, and concerns with professional tone when speaking with me. I have owned three high end vehicles and this vehicle has way more features. It is a Kia optima SX tgdi and I love this cars look.

We thoroughly appreciate Dustin Estes finding a car to meet our needs. The only thing that hurt was having to put a thousand down and my husband has to see a kidney Dr. every other month. But I guess they do what they must. 600.00 would have been easier, but we had no choice. Put in a position, it was push coming to shove. Don't you just hate when they can't really compromise just a little. We love the car and do enjoy the ease of getting his wheelchair in and out. Great color too.
