I went to Paramount Kia since it was one of the few dealerships that had a Kia Soul Base with manual transmission. I was instantly greeted by Michael with a warm greetings and a handshake. I told him what I was interested in and he instantly found the car and showed me all the features. I was not interested in a test drive (since we went to other dealerships that day as well) and we talked about price. Michael gave me an AMAZING deal and was willing to work with some extra features I needed (most importantly an aftermarket cruise control) that weren't standard. After working out the details, I talked to finance and they were able to work with me with some issues I had with payment. After I bought the vehicle, Michael explained all of the features of the car including the radio, sports/normal drive mode, and other features that weren't on my old Scion xB. The overall experience was a amazing at Paramount Kia and I will definitely be going there for future cars. Michael was extremely nice and awesome about dealing and explaining everything about the car buying experience.

Bought my New 2016 Kia Forte and the salesman there named Michael showed me around and gave me a whole lot of different choices based on my budget. Overall really great place to get a car!

Took car in for recalls no issues with that but after left put car in reverse to leave from another location my back up camera had quit working was working fine before the service but does not work now
Asked them abo it said nothing they had done would affect the camera
Also found a stray wire in the fuse box like they had made a jumper to jump power to something wire tied around the wiring harness don't know what kind of recall would require a jumper wire and tro disable backup camera.

I was recently in recently in for maintenance on my car and Kyle in the service department was absolutely WONDERFUL!! He went above and beyond to make sure all my needs were met and I was satisfied! He was very respectful and pleasant to work with the entire time. He kept me updated on what was happening with my car and made sure I was out in time to get to work. It s nice to walk in somewhere and be greeted by a friendly staff member willing to help. I couldn t post a review on your Facebook unfortunately, but I wanted to let Paramount know what a great employee they have! I refuse to go anywhere else for my service needs. Paramount has the best customer service hands down!

We are comparing fuel economy cars since I travel so much. A lady helped me with so much information about the product. Granted she was fairly new in this dealership but she is very knowledgeable. We will be making business here soon! Very inviting car sales lady, no pressure and she treated us no differently. We would love to make a purchase from her.

My wife was looking for a car to travel to work with better mileage. Michael contacted us very promptly and had the vehicle we liked waiting. I began looking for a car 3 months ago. Drove my daughter's 18 year old Nissan onto the lot, found a car to test drive, and on the drive, the salesman actually mocked the car I drove in on. Wat? Strike 1. Fast forward to this week- I go by and spy a similar car on the lot after hours that I liked. Found it on their website, asked for information, filled out the form and explicitly said to EMAIL, not call. Guess what they did? Yep. They called, but left message. No email. Strike 2. Curiosity got the better of me, so I called back. The sales lady was not there, so I left a message. Again, I said, send an email, do not call. What does she do? AGAIN... Strike 3. Nevertheless, I answered the call. Wasn't getting the deal I was looking for, got the ol' come-in-today-and-I-can-get-you-another-few-hundred-bucks-off routine, which is really insulting in this day and age (there are 12 identical cars in a 100 mile radius right now). Told her thanks, but no thanks, I was moving on. She was very quick with me, and hung up the phone a little too quickly to be considered polite, but hey, ok, move on... Now, today, what happens... ANOTHER PHONE CALL... Strike 4 leads to bad reviews. Hope the sales manager sees this and understands that I AM THE CUSTOMER. If you want my money, at least respect my conditions. Maybe your strategy works 80% of the time. Maybe I am just that one dude who doesn't fit your model. All of this is meant as constructive criticism and I hope your company will use it as you see fit. EDIT- less than one hour after posting this review I get an email. No, nothing suspicious about that timing at all... SMH...

My experience began in the service department. The receptionist, Kelsey Quinn, met me at the car and greeted me with a smile and helped me immediately. She was able to connect me with a salesman after I had received a phone call about possibly reducing the payments on my current vehicle. Kelsey was able to connect me with Michael Blackwell. He was very honest about my situation. He did the necessary leg work and paper work to help me make sound financial decisions. Based on the information he provided, I traded for a Kia Optima. Michael Blackwell was very knowledgeable about the vehicle and wasn't scared of my driving (and insisted that I must drive it even though I was confident that the "shoe" would fit perfectly)! He has followed up with me to make sure everything has been fine with the vehicle. Not only did I make a great trade, I made lots of friends!

I just purchased a 2020 Kia Telluride from Paramount Kia of Hickory. Peter Bailey was a great salesperson. He was very knowledgeable about the vehicle and was able to answer any questions we had about it. My previous vehicle was a 2011 Kia Sportage which was also purchased here. I bought a 2020 forte . I traded my 2015 in on it . I would like to know how my payments go up from 307.00 to 450.00 how do they get that. My car was only 5 yrs different, low miles it only had 38,000 miles on it and . How do they work the numbers.

You can get good customer service if you dont deal with David Hoover in sales or Evan in financing. Cars are good though. Just watch who you deal with.

My wife and I bought a gently used Kia Sorrento this week at this dealership for a fair price. We love the car, which is the most important thing. Our agent, Alan Schoonover, took good care of us. The experience was largely hassle free. We definitely would shop there again.

I bought my first ever brand new car from Paramount Kia and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Eli Reese is the man to see for a no hassle straight forward deal. He was very helpful with the whole journey from start to finish and gave me all the time I needed to make decisions that were right for me. The Financing department took good care of me and got the right deal I needed. I love my 2019 Kia Soul All in all if your looking to buy a car go to Paramount Kia and see Eli and you will have a great experience.

I purchased a Kia Soul back in June of 2012. I LOVE my car, but my actual car buying experience was pretty horrible. So you may wonder why I gave this rating an excellent in all areas? It's because the gentleman who was so horrible was not only let go a month after my purchase but they have done everything they could (free oil changes and lots of apologies) to keep my business. I won;t judge the whole place on one guy who was just out of training and left a few weeks later.

Bottom line? Buy your car there, get a Kia Soul, they are amazing and make a great family car! Also, don't be a dope like me. If you don't like your salesman ask for someone else.

I recently purchased a used 2007 Jeep Wrangler X from Paramount Kia. The sales process was easy and quick, but in my haste to conclude the deal, I failed to do a thorough inspection of the vehicle. First, upon taking delivery, the interior of vehicle was dirty and dusty and the fuel tank was empty. After I got the vehicle home, I found that one of the reverse tail lights and a brake light were out. Also, the windshield wiper fluid was completely empty. These are all minor, but I expect such a dealership as Paramount Kia would do a thorough inspection of a vehicle before making it available for sale. It also makes me wonder if they can't address these small items, what other problems would I experience with the vehicle later on? I would certainly think twice before purchasing another vehicle from Paramount Kia.

I purchased a used car on Jan 21st this year from Paramount Kia of Hickory and was very happy with the service I received. I had been searching for a newer car for a couple months so I had visited several websites and dealerships and this was the 1st dealership that I visited that didn't chase me down in the parking lot. All the cars that we looked at had a carfax already in the car so we didn't have to ask for one. Our salesman ( Phil Philyaw) wasn't pushy or harassing and once we decided on a vehicle, he wrote everything up and took care of all the paper work including adding the car to my insurance policy. I would recommend that anyone looking for a auto to check out Paramount Kia . They have 3 dealerships all next to one another so there is a large variety of vehicles to choose from. Ask for Phil Philyaw, he was a great salesman.

Pulled up to the dealsership thinking I was gonna get kind of pushed and harassed by salesmen into getting a car..

This dealership shatters those worries and inhibitions within minutes.

I am also a sales person myself, so, I'm usually super critical of other people trying to sell me stuff but Jim, the salesman I spoke to and dealt with, was super nice and personable. I actually felt like he had my best interest at heart instead of his own. This is extremely important to me. His demeanor was very organic and I didn't feel like he was putting on a sales character (like how some salesmen will say the same lines/jokes/ whatever else to every customer) I felt like he was talking to me specifically and it was greatly appreciated.

I went in looking for some used cars because mine had broken. i had looked at a Honda CRV and a Kia Sportage. Both were very nice and I liked them, but wasn't thrilled with them and only tried to get them out of necessity. Some things happened with the financing and loaning that prevented me from getting either of these cars. Jim hunted around and thought about everything, and my specific situation, and he came to me with a 2012 Kia Soul. Not only would it help my financing issue, but it was a better car all around in my opinion. It had way less miles and it was the color and style that I actually wanted. (Most of the time when you're in a pinch you have to settle)

During the down time between checking our options and Jim talking to the finance guy, I would talk to the receptionist, Brittany. She was extremely nice and professional and answered all my questions very quickly.She was just a joy to talk to in general. Great staff member.

I dealt with Jim over a period of 3 days. on the first day we checked out cars, on the 2nd day i got the car, and on the 3rd day i had to finish up with the tag and insurance. I honestly had fun going over there and on the 3rd day I was still excited to get up there even though I already had the car. Jim showed me/talked to me about every single thing I asked for/about and took extra time with me to walk around the lot and answer my questions and concerns.

He is great at his job and changed my view of car salesmen completely. He is a real person, a true person. That's all I'd ever want to talk to in any retail place... especially when you're making such a big decision. you don't want someone who is against you.

I always bring my kia back to their service department for its oil changes . the staff are extra friendly and helpful. There is even a lounge with snacks,coffee and free WiFi for you as you wait for your car to be serviced. I highly recommend Paramount kia.

I planned ahead and did my research when I made my decision to go to Paramount Kia of Hickory. I also called ahead and spoke with Sandra Billips, she was very kind and knowledgeable. She made sure that when I got there someone would be waiting. Everyone was very helpful, respectful, and worked hard to get me the best deal. Jason Auman was very hard working man. Indeed, waiting for me when I pulled in the lot, even on crutches nothing stopped him from making sure myself and my husband were comfortable and happy. I'm very happy with the service and sales team. Interested in a car, check them out!!!

Unfortunately, this was a terrible buying experience. I put a deposit down on a vehicle to hold. I was given a $1000 rebate on the car not knowing that was only contingent on financing through Kia. Salesman failed to mention this to me. You can imagine my surprise when they said my final bill was $1000 more since I wasn t financing through Kia.

I was told the car would be ready by noon the next day so I drive 1.5 hours to Hickory to sign papers and drive the car back. As I walk in I find out that the vehicle is not on the lot and they don t know where it is. As I m waiting to get more information I went ahead and had my car appraised. They under cut me by $1500 compared to Carmax. After negotiating they came up $1000. I asked them to make it the full $1500 difference and they said no so I walked out and told them I ll come back when the car is ready. On my way home, I get a call from the finance manager telling me that if I don t sign today then my car will be sold when it gets to the lot. Remind you I had a $1000 hold on the car to secure it as mine but they said the manager can t promise anything. So basically the manager asked him to call me and threaten that my car be sold from under me. Secondly, I find out that in order to get the $1000 rebate I have to finance for 3 months. This was a surprise because I had an entire conversation with the salesman about this. He promised me that I could finance it and immediately pay it off with no penalty after one month. So now, I will owe three months interest that I didn t plan on paying.

In summary, horrible communication, terrible morals, and the stereotypical slimy car salesmen. If they weren t holding my $1000 hostage I would have gone somewhere else.

Donavan came out shortly after I got there. I had a specific car in mind, and a back up just in case. He is about the same height as my grandson, so he sat in the front and the back to make sure there was head room. We took the back up car for a test drive first because it said the forte I wanted was there but we couldn't find it. It was a nice car, not exactly what I wanted, but nice enough. He kept looking until he found the car I had picked off the website. It drove better and was roomier than the first car we drove. I am happy with it. I had to drop my car title off the next day, and was greeted by another salesman that helped me find where it needed to go. Everyone was very nice and courteous. If I buy another car I will go there first.

I don't do many reviews but needed to share my experience. Took my car in for oil change and tire rotation. 1st it took 2.5 hours. 2nd they did not balance the tires. The car now ride horrible. Who rotates tire without balancing them. And all for $47 with a coupon. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS DEALERSHIP FOR ANYTHING!

I was searching online for a used car and came across Paramount Hyundai of Hickory. They had a 2014 Hyundai Sonata that I really liked. By the time I got down to the dealership the Hyundai Sonata had actually just been sold! They sales person, Eli Reece, was very helpful in showing me the different cars they had that were comparable to what I was looking for. Eli showed me a car at their sister dealership, Paramount Kia, that is located just across the street. We found a 2014 Kia Optima and loved it! The car is in great condition. The sales person, Eli, was great to work with and has an excellent personality. I would recommend anyone to go visit this dealership if you are looking to buy a new/used car. The dealership has very friendly staff and are great to work with.
