First time on seven years. It is now run down and dirty
Love the location when attending a concert but registering for my room was a nightmare due to crowds. Two hours to park and register. Check in early if you can.
We were just passing by, but it's a solid place. Decent rooms and ball rooms are excellent for conventions.
The amenities of an old best western at the price of a W.....
This place, especially for the money, is terrible. It may be downtown but let s Face it, downtown Atlanta isn t the same as, say, downtown New York or Chicago. There is nothing to do here (comparitively speaking) so aside from being at a conference and not wanting to park at one of the many parking lots, there s really no reason to stay in the area.
But back to the hotel.... everything is old and outdated. The sheets are ok. The pillows are thin. Almost as thin as the walls. Right now it s 11:37pm and I can hear every word of the couple in the room next to me - and my bed isn t even sharing that wall. Toiletries are generic. Toilet paper is okay (surprisingly). They charge for EVERYTHING. Even the security safe in the closet requires a credit card. What?!?! Most staff is nice enough, but they are already 0/1 on housekeeping. Had to call twice and finally got it done at 5pm.
All in all the place feels dingy and depressing. As compared to, say, the embassy suites down the street with it s pretty indoor atrium. Still wondering why we didn t book there. If it wasn t for the price I d give it a 3. But they have a lot of nerve to charge what they do for this place. Best I can say is it seems clean. But for $300/night I want more than just clean.
The experience and service was aawesome... NICE STAFF, SPACIOUS ROOMS, SECURITY IN THE HEART OF ATLANTA.
The room was okay but honestly this place didn't live up to the omni name
The room was clean and comfortable and checking in and out was fast and simple. The location is unbeatable! I love the Omni, but had a negative experience at this particular location.
The valet service was slow and unprofessional. The hotel does not offer a self-parking option, so there is simply no choice but to use the valet service. After being re-routed from one tower to another, I had to wait nearly 10 minutes for a valet to greet me upon check-in. I also patiently waited, approximately 30 minutes, for my car to be returned each time I left the hotel. Additionally, the valets were constantly arguing with one another in front of the guests about parking assignments and long working hours. It is simply unacceptable to mandate a $45 per night valet service and expect customers to wait long periods of time for the vehicle to be returned and for the staff to behave so unprofessionally. I simply expected a higher level of service and professionalism from such an elegant chain.
Nice hotel was NOT told about parking is 45 . I asked about parking lady said parking deck down road. Did not understand what the meant til got there. Was also told I would be on the 20th floor. WAS NOT. They said could not help this issue. Went to bar for beer I promise not playing BEER WAS HOT. Who wants that, so that was all I had was upset came here to get away from some problems. Hotel was in great location was just think If somenoe asls for certain floor you should keep your word and for gosh sake keep BEER COLD/
Large hotel clean rooms courteous staff took 20 min to check in
The manager at the front desk named Nick went above and beyond the call of duty as well as the front desk clerk named Ally(I believe that is her name). We came from Florida to escape Hurricane Dorian, there was an issue with my credit card and they both stepped up and accommodated my family and assured us that all would work out...and it did, one call to my bank and issue resolved in minutes. Nick and the ENTIRE staff made us feel welcome and safe considering what we were facing with the storm back home. We will ALWAYS stay at the Omni, as far as we are concerned, there is no other hotel for us. Thank you to everyone at the Omni!
While the rooms & amenities are nice, our experience was a near disaster. We were booked into a suite that turned out to be under construction. As we were there for a trade show and planned to use the suite to meet with customers, this completely ruined our plans. I will give them credit in that they were able to get us in beds and gave us an empty under construction room to conduct business but the fact that this even happened is embarrassing.
The rooms were dirty. Friends that were there with us had to switch rooms 3 times until they were placed into a clean room. There were not enough elevators to accommodate everyone and we had to wait 15 minutes at least for an elevator. 3 weeks after my stay they took additional money out of my bank account without my knowledge to fix a mistake that they made on my final receipt and were unapologetic. I DO NOT RECCOMEND to stay here.
The hotel itself is nice. But our room smelled like bleach, which, I admit could ve been worse. We had a great view of the Centennial Olympic Park.
There was an alarm that we could stop, I dialed in the number given and asked for it to stop. The alarm went on for another 10 min, very loud and unpleasant.
I still recommend this hotel if you re visiting; everything is a few steps away.
I was there today for a conference. The hotel staff was WONDERFUL. Went above and beyond by offering water to a group without being asked!
Great staff. Fun and friendly environment right in the center of Atlanta
Have had a few minor issues but guest services has been good with their response
Nice location. Hotel is very outdated and rooms need to be remodeled there are many other hotels downtown that are much nicer for a lower cost. Price of hotel does not match room quality. In addition, for as expensive as this hiotel is we should AT LEAST receive free WiFi.
The building is nice the tour isn't for someone who has a interest in news, or filming, but it does show you a small experience of how CNN runs and operates in their Atlanta office
Good place to stay, ideal location for tourism, but there is lot of construction going on now, so the noise can be annoying at times
Old, outdated, poor service and all together a property completely opposite to what the nightly rates go. Unfortunately it's the most convenient stay for people attending conference and conventions in the Georgia World Congress Center. My advise to anybody visiting the city is to walk a little bit more and opt for the Glenn Hotel, The Holiday Inn Express or even the Embassy Suites nearby
Omni Atlanta hotel at the CNN Center my stay was amazing. I had easy Check In, clean room nice bed ,easy valet parking and also easy checkout this is one of my favorite hotels to visit while I'm staying in Atlanta Georgia. I will be back on my next trip
Omni Atlanta is in the middle of everything, the place to stay. Great staff and management, Class act from start to finish.
Never stayed in a worse hotel. After coming back from a concert at the nearby Mercedes Benz Stadium, our room floor was flooded with water. From where I do not know. My wife's clothes were soaked through her luggage and had to wear the previous night's clothes out of the hotel. Told management about the incident before we left. Said they would knock off parking and give us breakfast complementary. After a few days go by, I am charged with parking and with the breakfast. My credit card company would not keep going to bat for me since the hotel claimed that I was lying. SCREW OMNI HOTELS!!!
I honestly didn't spend any time in the hotel, I was just in town for a conference
Very nice rooms, and the perfect spot for a conference.
Staff is exceptional, from the desk to the restaurant. The room felt a bit dated, but it was still nice and met my expectation.
Very clean and staff was very friendly. Convenient location within walking distance to many restaurants.
It was a very nice hotel and the staff treated us absolutely amazing! The Omni is right in the middle of pretty much all of the tourist attractions in downtown Atlanta and the views from the hotel rooms are breathtaking.
I give it about a B- it's an okay older hotel. The amenities are nice but nothing to write home about. VERY disappointed to find out that parking was $45 a night. There's probably a public parking garage nearby but we got in at close to midnight so looking for other options wasn't feasible.
Hotel could use a massive remodeling. The layout is amazingly confusing. Stayed here for four days and never really figured how to just get outside easily. Much better and more affordable hotels within walking distance.
Very nice !!!
"A WOMAN WITH PURPOSE"
Beautiful hotel, great place to stay if you are in town for a concert or event. Incredible food and very comfortable clean rooms. Highly recommend!
Very clean. Room was large, and comfortable. First time I've seen Google TV on the TV (nice!). We got a room with a view to the internal courtyard. The view was mainly of the Omni courtyard, but this hotel allows the only way to be inside (but apart from) the CNN space. Parking was ridiculously expensive, and valet only? I parked in a lot across the street.
While the experience was good and the location superb for Atlanta Downtown, the rooms need a bit of a light renovation.
The hotel staff was friendly and available for all questions and information. The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Free kind bars in the lobby!
Had a reservation for a year and was just informed it was released. Had a theft alert on card and just got it replaced a few days ago. They "sent communications". Email. No phone call. A year's worth of planning trashed, hundreds of dollars wasted.
Update: they were able to give us a reservation for 2 days rather than 3. Hospitality is nice until you get your keys. House keeping followed my boyfriend into our room unannounced while I was topless. He said he didn't know she was going to follow behind him. Called for a cart before check out then again after 20 minutes when no one showed. Valet desk lady said the first call never happened and now there were 5 rooms ahead of us.
Advice to convention goers: leave a day early or a day later. Save yourself some pain. The smallest elevators for a hotel this size I have ever seen. Yeah, they look nice, but are garbage for a fully booked hotel with people wearing gigantic costumes that take up a third of the pretty glass elevator.
The omni was very clean and my stay on the south tower was wonderful the staff was very helpful.
We have been coming here for 5 years with a major cheer competition and my 1st impression was that it was very dated even 5 years ago. This stay has been EXTREMELY displeasing. In cheer you must go through a middle party to book and are not given a lot of choices and the rooms are also upcharged. During this stay we are in the North Tower & most of the ameneties are not available & customer service has decreased IMMENSELY!. No housekeeping....2 towels for a 4 person room. They did not even get our trash...the restaraunt that was open in our tower was due to open at 12...it was 12:08 before it did & we sat there for 35 MORE minutes waiting on our drinks and there was only 1 waitress for the entire place. They incresed the prices to park & would never answer at the valet. When we spoke with the manager she just simply said it was due to the pandemic and if we wanted those ammenities we should have stayed in the South tower when 1: we were unaware that the North tower did not have them & 2: we were never given that option. The pandemic is absolutely no excuse for poor patron care. I have been a dental hygienist for 27 years & have worked the entire time except for 2 months. This a quality issue & the Omni has DEFINITELY lowered their standard & at best I would look more around Atlanta & ask lots of questions before booking here. We have other families at the Marriot Marquis & they miraculously had full service... and ammenities obviously the Covid is selective
When I called, the receptionist offered early check-in at 7. Upon arrival, we waited in the car for 30 min (until 7am). When I found the receptionists desk in the other building, I was told early check in would be at 9 because of the computer. After I explained that we had been on the road for 18 hours because of Irma and that I was told check-in would be at 7. I was told to give them 30 more min, that we were one of 200 people arriving from Irma. (There was one other family in the lobby.) I left with no other option than to cross to the other building and back to my car to wait. On my way, I teared up, emotionally exhausted from such a long haul. As I was passing the other desk, gentleman receptionist saw me and when I asked if he could possibly get me in a room sooner, he said "yes, of course!" We were in our room within 10 min.
The other staff was all nice. Breakfast was mediocre, but the kitchen and serving staff went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed. Front desk ladies should have additional training in customer service as they answered the phone rudely.
Service was great and the room was clean. Only problem with the Omni is the charge for parking.
Great staff. Very helpful. Nice rooms, but furnishings throughout the hotel are starting to show their age. The restaurant off South Tower lobby is really good. Good location. 2 Metro stations nearby. Would recommend.
There was no drinking water in the room and the room service was very slow to bring us some. My sheets had a stains on them. Other than that, the hotel was decent, I guess. Convenient location with a food court downstairs.
Stayed here for MomoCon and really love how convenient it was! My only complaint is that it took a long time to get checked in and the shower didn't have a light in it so it got pretty dark. Housekeeping was wonderful though! We didn't have them clean or make the beds for the three nights that we were there but they would always check with us to see if we needed fresh, clean towels, tea, coffee, or anything else.
Nice and convenient place to stay while downtown for meetings
Decent place to sleep but the elevators are the worst. Too small and not enough of them running.
Escalators nit working and no direction for physically challenged people. Bad knee and i had to climb 4 flights of stairs to get to the food cout.
However, the valet staff are awesome! Always tip them!
Great Experience, close walking distance to everything! Great choice if you are coming from out of town to attend any games at the Mercedes Benz Stadium #teamATL
Nice room
Street noise heard on 13th floor very very loud acoustics -1 star for the noise
OMG......Mr Rick and the Omni staff/Family take such Amazing!!!!!! care of their temporary residents in a way that you want to stay with them longer then planned.... Ty Omni for another Excellent lodging experience. Out of 10 you exceed the EXCELLENCE scale.
Omni Atlanta Hotel is the perfect location for a city trip as it is convenient to many major attractions.
First nba game with my son!! We had a blast!!!! Thanks!
Clean. Nice staff. Good location. Several attractions were within walking distance .
I have mixed emotions about this hotel. My room was not cleaned when I arrived (water bottles, unmade bed, towels on the floor). Staff was great; bar, restaurant, housekeeping and front desk. Prices at the bar and restaurant were up there, expense reports people.
I stayed at the Omni (North Tower) the weekend before the NBA Allstars week. The hotel itself was not that great. The rooms have the basics (beds, television, ice bucket, iron, hair dryer, etc). There was no microwave and the tub stopper didn t work, so no reheating food or soaking in the tub for us.
I gave this place 4 stars because of the PEOPLE. The staff at the Omni are A+. Dranette was wonderful. I encountered her a few times during my stay I have to say I was surprisingly shocked with her attentiveness, knowledge, and willingness to go beyond expectations in meeting needs as they came up each time. I cannot say enough about Dranette. At one point I needed a lint roller and she brought a personal lint roller to my room for me to use. The words that come to mind when I think of Dranette are: authority, leader, understanding, fierce, knowledgeable, respectful, and hospitable.
During our stay, the main cafe, Centennial Grounds, was closed to any guests who were not in the NBA block of reservations. We had to go downstairs to the smaller cafe where the espresso machine was down, the drink cooler was broken, the credit card reader was down, and they had no eating utensils. That experience was definitely a let down.
The next day I called to see if these things were remedied before I got my hopes up about having my morning latte . I explained the experience of the previous day with Jessica in Centennial Grounds and she rectified the situation.
Jasmine and Benz at Top Draft were wonderful the two times our group went there to eat. I loved the outdoor heating. However, during one of our meals there was no heat because they ran out of propane for the heaters.
Bottom line (based on my one recent experience): the hotel itself was not so great, but the staff was amazing.
Are breakfast at the Omni's restaurant would attending an event at GWCC. Food was great, and service was friendly and attentive.
Good thing this was a business trip and I didnt have to pay for the room because the rooms are so old the carpet and walls are disgusting. Shame that this is a OMNI Hotel.
Convenient place for Hawks game. Nice rooms, close to the action.
Went to a wrestling event there at the AT&T Center and it was great
Service was good. Valets very helpful. Great restraunts
The room was not as nice as I would have expected given the price of the room. We had an issue when we came back to the hotel at 1 a.m. with people hanging out and drinking in the parking area. This was reported to the management and was addressed by them with their security and valet manager. The management refunded our parking fee for the inconvenience and seemed very helpful and attentive to the situation. I don't know if I would stay again in Atlanta giving the problem we had it would not be worth it to me to find out that it had not been changed thank you.
They need to refurbish this place fast. Don't use the ice machine mine had black and green stuff in it The service was really good and the only reason they get a 4.
This is my favorite Omni hotel. The staff is always friendly and go out of their way to be helpful!
The location can not be beat. Close to sporting events and the convention center.
