Not sure how many people have had trouble with their belts but I changed my drive belt just because it was 2 years old the new one lasted exactly 1 1/2 yard mowings and I have a little under 1 acre it just came apart. I went back to occonors and discussed this they said they could not warranty it because they did not put it on. . I put my old belt back on and it's mowing just fine. 2 yards in everything great.
They are also selling cheaper blades for ferris mowers that are not ferris. Maybe they need to rethink these belts they are selling are they from a different manufacturer cause we as customer will never know. They should have stood behind their product other stores and every part I have ever ordered has some kind of warranty. Shame shame shame I am positive their is a lot more people having problems with their belts also.

The kid behind the parts counter, tall, skinny, close-cropped hair white kid. He was not eager to help. I didnt know the name of the part, he kept trying to have me explain what it looks like. All he had to do was walk 20 feet with me to the actual machine, see which part I needed and sell me the part.
The other young kid, dark hair, darker skinned walked over with me, helped me find the piece, but this was after I asked the original kid to come with me twice.

The best way to describe O Connor s lawn and garden is incompetent. I purchased a ZTR mower there over two years ago and have had problems with their service department both times I needed parts. If I bought my mower from them and they look up the model before they sell me any parts there is no way they should sell me the wrong parts and yet they did, twice. Also after I went to return the wrong part I was sold I was told first that I lost part of it and that was why it did not work, and then that it was not returnable (but they would make a onetime exception). So first they called me incompetent and then they said they shouldn t take the part back despite it being there mistake. In short do not buy from O Connor s and definitely do not trust them to service your equipment. I will not be back.

Everyone is as nice as can be until you give them money. My father spent almost $5000 on a lawnmower and mowed half the yard only to have to take it back for repair. Four days later dad called to check on the progress of the repair and the woman that answered the phone was rude. She talked to my father like he was a moron for thinking the repair would be finished. So I spoke to the repair manager and he did call me back with an acceptable solution that should have been done four days ago. Unfortunately, he didn t just solve the problem, he went on to be rude to my mother an insult her. You don t treat customers this way.

I purchased a stihl chainsaw on 5-26-2017. I used it once. Tried to use it a day later and it would not start. Took it back and met with Chris Everett,service manager. He stated the clutch was burned out along with other issues. A few days latter he phoned with an estimate to fix which almost equaled the price I paid for the saw. Now the kicker, is that I operated the saw with the brake on. So, it was my fault. Now the only defense I had was the salesman did not tell me anything about brake release. Of course, I had a manual. (But you reads those!!!) Stihl would not warranty the repair-operator err. Chris talked to Mr. O'connor and Stihl.
They gave me a brand new saw which they did not have to do! I had never shopped at O'connors before but I knew they were family owed and in business for years and had a reputation for great customer service. I made a great choice. Any other place, I would have been out of luck. Thank you Mr. O'connor, Chris, and Stihl. Robert Burns

I should have read the other reviews on Google before selecting O'Connors. I took my nearly 30 year old Honda in for a tune up and some wheel maintenance. I was told 10 days, after the 10th day I called and my mower had not been serviced. I got a call at the 14th day that my mower was ready. Upon pickup, I wanted to do a quick check. Granted this mower is old, but it has ALWAYS started on the first pull. After about the 5th pull I was sure it wasn't going to start. I was told, it was a quick fix and they would call me. After 24 hours with no call, I called and was told technicians did not work on Saturdays, so it would be at least Monday. A manager called me Monday and explained the tech did not adjust the valves properly. I asked why it said that there was a "start and run" check per their receipt, if it wasn't done? He had no explanation, which makes me wonder what else wasn't done. No offer of a discount for my wasted time and sub standard service. Also, only one of the counter service people I dealt with, treated me with any sort of compassion. The three others gave the impression that I was just a waste of their time. Stay away.

I recently bought a new Toro mower from O'Connor's and was very happy with pricing customer service and the mower itself. Sean O'Connor even was my salesman! For years I have been bringing my mowers to O'connor's and the work is quality and pricing is fair. I have read some of the bad reviews on here. Do not believe them. Eveyone that has ever helped me here through the years has been helpful and professional. If you take your mower in for annual servicing, change the filter and oil, your mower will last for many years.

The manager named Chris has always been more than willing to help me with anything, and when I brought in a lawn mower that I claimed was busted, they couldn't find anything wrong with it, but Chris personally went back and dug deeper and found the issue and fixed it extremely quickly. I purchased a Ferris commercial mower and I couldn't be happier with the cut it provides. It really cuts cleanly and evenly. The ZTR is something I've experienced in the past, so it was very easy getting used to the mower. I really like the suspension and the overall mower quality, particularly the 1/4 inch thick blades. I went back to O'Conner's this past weekend and purchased an echo chain saw. I have been very impressed with their knowledgeable and friendly staff. Their equipment is top quality, and I'm just a weekend warrior who enjoys yard work.

I purchased a Ferris 48 ZTR from O Conner s after doing a good deal of research and shopping around. The machine I got from O Conner s was far better rated then any of the competition in the same price range. Each of the machines I looked at was good but for the same features that the machine I bought the price went up significantly. I had to drive about 30 miles to get there and I am really glad I did. I almost purchased a lower quality machine (for the same cost) from a place that was right around the corner. I can t stress enough that it was worth the trip.
Aside from the machine (which basically sold itself) I was very impressed with the service at O Conner s. I worked directly with Tim O Conner and it was clear that they are a family business that really values their customers. I am giving them 5 stars because the system won t let me give them 6!

Do great work on repairs if your willing to wait weeks, the service mechanic are short with bad additude guess it makes up for waiting 3 weeks for a repair job. Service department is always helpful and sales team are like used car sales men. Know what you want before entering and be prepared to wait along time for all repair jobs, with cranky rude mechanical staff.

O'Connor's treated me in the most professional manner possible from my very first phone call. They are not pushy - just very informative, helpful, honest, and polite. I dealt with Pat O'Connor most of the time and she was "TOPS!" She very promptly returned calls or answered all of my questions or gave me to someone who could in the most thorough manner.
I had a mechanical problem with a small Snapper riding mower and they worked with me (across many, many miles!) to get the problem fixed at no expense to me. When I continued to have problems they went "the extra mile" to make things right. Without going into many details, I can just say that O'Connor's is excellent and I recommend them unreservedly!

I had couple of excellent experiences at O'Connors. First was when i bought a Toro Zero Turn mower. Chris ( Service Manager ) went above and beyond to deliver the mower on a Saturday afternoon and explained all the operating details. The latest great experience was after the ice storm that hit OKC area. I had bought an Echo from another store ( partly as O'Connors was out of stock ), and it had an issue starting due to the fuel mix. I had taken the Echo to O'Connors and explained that I did not buy it from them, Shaun ( owner ) took the time to look over my Echo chainsaw and patiently worked on it to fire it up. Overall, I would rather take my business to a family owned outfit which puts customer service first. greatly appreciate Chris and Shaun !!

Good machine but SERVICE IS A CRIMINAL OPERATION! We bought a new 61" Ferris Z2100 late last year. It was quite expensive but seems a good unit. Luckily we have a large acreage to mow because the unit would be too big for the average suburban acre or so yard. You must be cautious when turning lest you tear up the lawn with this big unit. In any event, we haven't had it long enough yet to speak to the overall quality of the zero turn unit. I can, however, express my view about O'Connor's. We took the Ferris in to have the oil changed, just because it was new and despite only using it a few times last year. I had planned on changing the oil myself and had already bought a half dozen oil filters online before I discovered that changing the oil and filter is impossible unless you have some sort of specialized tools or remove some major parts of the frame on the unit in order to replace the filter. Therefore, I hauled the unit over to O'Connor's to have the oil changed. I asked them to check the height adjustment while they were at it to ascertain the deck was at the correct height at the various selections. I was told that the cost of an oil change at O'Connor's is a bit over $100 plus the cost of the oil and filter. Pricey but, without a viable alternative, I was willing to pay that amount. It took a few weeks for them to get the job done, but the surprise was when I got the invoice for the oil change. $239!! The "check the height adjustment" had become an alleged "tune up" that cost $130 plus another charge for having blades allegedly sharpened. A "tune up" on a new unit seemed laughable in concept and because when I checked the only part I could reasonably check on my own.... the blades, none appeared to have been "sharpened" and appeared to be in an expected condition given the only use we had put to the unit. In short, I think the people at O'Connor's just bilked me out of a couple of hundred bucks. The oil did appear to be fresh but whether the filter had been actually replaced is questionable at best. Its too bad that a brand like Ferris is only available from one dealer, especially one that can't be trusted. I will be looking for viable alternatives in the future. If you are looking for lawn equipment I'm certain there are reputable dealers somewhere out there... but if you're looking at O'Connor's.... Caveat emptor!

I wish I had read the reviews before buying anything from them. I bought a Toro push mower from them, I thought by spending a few more dollars than what I usually spend at Lowe's or Home Depot would give me a better product. I WAS WRONG. I ended up getting a mower that worked a few times, than the starter went out. O'Connors advertises that they fix things in house, well, after OVER FOUR weeks, I am still waiting. I was originally quoted a time of 5 to 7 business days. That week came and went quickly. Then I got a new time of up to two weeks. Again, those two weeks came and went. Then I began to call every two to three days, each time I called, I was put on hold for five to ten minutes. Each time I was told the part was on order.... and it was on the way. On June 20, I was told the part would be in on JUNE 24th. Guess what... it did not show up. I called on June 24th, and I was told it was on back order again. Now it is July 1st. They have no idea whatsoever when or if the part will come in. In the meantime, I have paid $200 to have my lawn cut five times. And... O'Connors want money if I pick up my mower and take it else where now. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM O'CONNORS again, I suggest you avoid them if at all possible. Looks like I will go back to buying from Lowe's. Funny, O'Connors makes such a big deal about Lowe's sending out their mowers out of state to repair. Well, at least they repair their mowers, unlike O'Connors.

I use commercial equipment so I need to know the specs, power, durability and reliability. The staff is very experienced in the different types and uses of their equipment and can tell you what you need. They carry Ferris, Honda, and Toro mowers and some others. Stihl and Echo chainsaws, weedeaters, etc. all these brands have residential and commercial models, which they will help you determine which is best for you. They will lead you to what will be the best or what you want without a hassle tying to sell you something you don't want or some cheap knockoff. I always like to compare and they have always been happy to help. Service is excellent, without a doubt, but with any great repair shop, backed up during the busy season. They have a parts counter and can find you anything you need for your equipment, for us do-it-yourself people. I have used O'Conner's for over 10 years and never had a bad purchase.
