Their automated phone line is difficult to navigate however, once you finally get to an operator after waiting a while on hold the ones that I've worked with were actually quite pleasant. Pleased with how the NTTA is using my toll funds to continually improve the toll roads around the area.

The lady that helped me was very nice. The 2 others I talked to by phone to try to figure out what's going on were not. That's about all I can say after being charged almost 800 dollars in tolls, that we were originally told were 400 dollars, for what we can tell from the printout, for maybe 60 real dollars of tolls. The rest appear to be "ghost" tolls and late fees. None of the numbers add up. And the months showing where we "used" the tolls the most are missing from the print out. They say they mailed over 30 invoices to us, OVER 2 YEARS, and we have received ZERO. They showed me a print out of the last 1 they mailed and it was for $10.60 - .60 in tolls $10.00 in administration fees. If I owed over $700 why are they sending me an invoice for $10.60? I have had a toll tag for the past 10 years. We've moved out of state, so today I closed our accounts. In the past 10 years, I have had nothing but positive experiences with NTTA employees. Setting up the accounts was a breeze, managing our accounts online was simple and convenient, and today's interactions went smoothly. Having that toll tag made life in the Dallas area so much easier, and NTTA customer service contributed to that ease.

Occasionally I have to drive a car without a toll tag and I get a zip cash bill. All I ever have to do is call customer service and they add it to my toll tag, removing about 25% of the fee. Today I got to speak with Shalyn and, she exceeded expectations. Whoever is training the folks that answer phones is doing an awesome job. Shalyn was super-helpful, consciousness and took my concerns as her priority. It is so refreshing to get thoughtful customer service from a company that has a monopoly. try getting that from McKinney water department...LMBO.

We live outside of the Metroplex but do occasionally travel into Dallas and using the Tollways seemed to make getting in and around the city a little easier. We bought a TollTag and did use it a couple of times, but after a few months we started getting notices that our balance was low. With each notice our balance was a little lower than the month before even though we hadn't used the tollway at all. Turns out they were charging us $1.50 every month as a service fee. We ended up paying nearly $20 for NOT using the Tollways!

Today I spoke with the Operations Manager Mr. Francisco Sanchez concerning an issue with making a payment through ZipCash. I had to request a supervisor several times. Short version; ZipCash would not accept the ZipCash ID Number NTTA provided which made it impossible to pay by phone. Therefore, I waited until the next work/business day to call NTTA to report the problem. After calling NTTA, I was informed I would have to pay additional $10 (extortion fees), even though it was their system that caused the problem in the first place. It was Mr. Sanchez and his staff informing me there is no recourse to file any type of official complaint or grievance. In other words, as a customer I (you) was SOL! Am I the only one who sees possible corruption? I am wondering if the NTTA is really part of the communist party trying to take over this great country. The NTTA closed my normal exit I take daily in my commute to/from work. Instead I had to drive up to the next exit and double back. For those who aren't looking for fine print to read in between the lines, you can skip the rest of this review.
The difference in toll fare most likely amounted to about $.15 - not an exorbitant amount. I called customer service to ask if they would simply credit back the difference due to the exit's closure. I was read boiler plate back amounting to a long-winded "no." Despite no prior notice of lane closure that I saw (I drive the turnpike nearly everyday). The NTTA decided to hold to their guns on $.15, and that is their right. I'm sure there is some language in my toll account agreement that says I have to deal with this and there is no recourse.
And that is fine.
I encourage others, as I will be doing for the foreseeable future, to avoid driving NTTA roadways as much as possible. While my average $6 daily tolls may be a drop in the bucket overall, I'm happy to get back my $.15 several thousand times over to prove what bad policy and customer service will yield. And that is my right.

I called this location to see how much my balance was and was provided with what I assumed was the correct information. I asked if I could make a payment and was told that the amount had to be paid in full because the amount wasn t past due yet and so I was ready to bite the bullet to pay my not past due NTTA bill, the lady I spoke with transferred me to billing who told me that the amount I owed was $230 more than the previous representative. She gave me a breakdown of what I was paying for and said there was no way around it and the total had to be paid in full with an $18 service fee . Absolutely ridiculous, this office really needs to get it together. This company is so heartless. My mom passed away unexpectedly while I was up in Dallas. I had been using the toll roads to get to and from my destinations in regards to this unfortunate situation. I have a toll tag and have had one for years. I had funds on it while I was in the DFW. I had ONE toll that was for $6 ran that never hit my toll tag account. The only letter I received from the NTTA was from their collections agency and when I called NTTA they wouldn't do anything about the collection fees because of their system mishap. They tag you with fees and say they send out letters but I never receive them until it's in collections. That is poor business practice. One of the perks of not living in the DFW anymore is not having to deal with NTTA tolls anymore. This company is so inconsiderate.
